The Multi-Dimensional OC Bar

"Years..." Griff burps "...and years of ... *hic* practice." Griff says, obviously drunk out of his mind.

Flail becomes a bit dizzy from Griff's drunken state, "That's... Different..." He mumbles out stumbling away to a table farther away from him, "No offense... That emotion makes me a bit wobbly."

Techno flies through the doors head first, crashing into Flail and sending them both tumbling into the bar. "Sorry," he says, extending his hoof to help Flail up. "The portal was being... uncooperative."

Ician blinks at Flail. "Huh. You blend in pretty well with the darkness... didn't even notice that you were still around."

He turns to Techno and extends his hoof. "My name is Tact Ician, but you can call me Ician for short. What's yours?"

Crescendo enters and takes a seat at the bar. He looks around for somepony he knows, but sees all new faces. Not exactly content with starting conversations with strangers, he sits and hums a tune in his head.

Ician gazes at the newcomer thoughtfully. Noticing him move off to his own corner, Ician shrugs and sits back down, taking a sip from his glass.

Noticing that somepony acknowledged his existence, Crescendo moves slowly toward Ician. He clears his throat, looking at Ician's glass
"Whatcha got there?"

Flail with drink spilled and rump firmly planted on the floor looks at the extended hoof, "Interesting." He accepts and is helped in getting up, he chuckles at the quip, "I I've black chitin, it isn't very surprising."

Ician looks at Crescendo. "It's just water... nothing special." He extends his hoof. "My name is Tact Ician, but you can call me Ician for short. What's your name?"

Crescendo shakes Ician's hoof
"Crescendo."
He looks around nervously
"I'm uh, not the best with small talk."

Ician chuckles lightly, although still marred with a tinge of sadness.

"I'm hardly a master at it either." He waved a hoof at the Bar. "Stay around here a little longer and you'll see what I mean."

Crescendo chuckes and slouches in his seat.
"Good, so I won't look like an idiot."

"Oh, I wouldn't bet on that." Ician shakes his head. "I've seen many make themselves look like idiots in here. One way or another."

"Which is why you have water. Which is pretty smart. I'll just get a diet cola"

"Well, that's one of two reasons." He shrugs. "The other being that I simply like water."

Crescendo remembers a random fact and shares is immediately.
"Did you know that some ponies drink warm water before singing because it's easier on their throats?"

"That may well be true." Ician says. "But I'm not a singer by any means. I'll take a glass of cold water any day over warm, thank you very much."

Crescendo laughs
"I'm full of useless knowledge like that. So what brings you here? The people? The drinks?"

"Many things." Ician looks around the room and sighs. "Business, sentimentality... A lot's happened in here over the past few days, and not all of them good."

Crescendo winces
"Do I wanna ask?"

Ician turns away. "I'd rather not talk about it, if it's all the same to you. Sorry."

Crescendo places his hoof in Ician's shoulder
"It's all good. I get not wanting to talk. So, you always come alone, or do you have friends that pop in too?"

Ician gazes at the door wistfully. "Sometimes I come alone, sometimes I don't. But there are always friends around." He gestures to Storm, sitting next to him. "This is Storm. And he," Ician gestures to the drunk unicorn beside him, "is Griff. I have more friends around, but they aren't here... for now."

Crescendo notices the other ponies nearby. "This is my first time here. I imagine I'll be back. Its nice to see a face or two that i know

"It can be... some comfort. But at times it's better to be alone." Ician smiles at Crescendo. "So, what brings you here, then?"
