Ician, who had been silently listening to the conversation, broke out in a toothy grin. "So you are a pirate." He said, looking at Graham. "Or were."

"So.." Welissa turned to Ician. "How's your kingdom faring, if may I ask?"

"Pretty well." Ician said amiably. "Things are fine, lots of order. Still got corruption in the government, as always, but I plan on ending that in about..." He glanced at a nearby clock. "... Three hours, tops."

"That's good for you, then." She said, glancing at the door. "At least there's not an eternal war raging for you.. eternal battle for survival.. " She ships her alcoholic drink. "Sometimes I wonder what was the cause behind detonating that thing."

He shrugged. "One can only wonder, I suppose. I wasn't the one on the scene... Nor am I actually familiar with the scene at all."

"Then I believe you didn't hear me when I mentioned there's a thousand meter wide crater in the middle of Equestria..." She said and giggled. "And also filled with radiation. Celly's forces tried fighting, but were instead nuked. Canterlot along with half of the mountain is missing." she continued. "It was a pretty blinding sight when it happened."

"It's one thing to hear it... but it's another to be familiar with it." Ician shook his head. "Am I glad I'm not in your universe. That sounds terrifying."

"It was, for Celly's forces." She said and chuckled, sipping her drink. "They just didn't stand a chance."

Ician shuddered. "Though, I have a question... what is this 'radiation' you were talking about?"

"Not even I understand it completely, but.. some kind of poisoning. Be exposed to it long enough, and you'll might aswell grow a second head or a fifth leg." She said and chuckled. "There's deformed animals everywhere that have been exposed too long... I just shoot them to put them out of their misery, nothing else. Also healthy animals for food."

"So some sort of... mutant... things." Ician blinked. "Yes, it seems your scientific progress is about a few hundred years ahead of ours."

"Or around ten or twenty years ahead, you never know." She winked. "Funny thing is, Equestria was in harmony, then suddenly one day, boom, Canterlot gone along with half of the mountain, villages that were close to Canterlot were blown to dust from the shockwave. Nobody saw it coming. Some even claim it was an experiment gone wrong."

"Well, that's it. I'm going to keep a special eye on the Department of Science and the Magic Research Association." Ician sighed. "I'm not going to see Canterlot blown off the side of the mountain."

"To be honest, I almost like it better than before." She said and giggled, sipping her drink. "Not being pushed around by those pesky guards all the time.. Don't do this, don't do that, I wasn't born to be ordered around."

Ician stiffened. "Rules are there for a reason, you know. Granted, a lot of them are complete nonsense... but there is still a proper foundation that must be adhered to."

"Griffins are born to be free and fly free. No pony rules are gonna change that." She says and grins. "Besides, last time I heard of a few equestrian soldiers tried to make a few rules in the Griffin Kingdom, they were all brutally slashed apart."

"Oh, rules in the Griffon kingdom. Now that's a different issue." Ician shrugged. "Obviously we can't dictate the legislation of a sovereign nation. They are our allies, though, and I know for a fact that their laws are roughly, somewhat, maybe kind of like ours."

"Funny, the only rules we ever had were 'don't kill and don't steal'. Not some rules like 'don't go in there, don't talk, don't fly, don't stand there, blah blah blah." She said and finished her drink. "You ponies must love your god damn order, but freedom is the only thing that matters to us."

"I suppose you would run into a burning building because somepony told you not to go in there." Ician said with heavy sarcasm. "Like I said, there are reasons why rules exist."

"Like what? Keeping your imaginary power over normal ponies? We settle it with a battle. The strongest one, usually the king, wins and if he wins he's right."

Ician facehooved. "That is the stupidest... and it's not about power. It's about order and the safety of the individual. There must always be a balance between freedom and order. Too much of the former and it's anarchy. Too much of the latter and it's oppression."

"There we go again, balance, harmony, blah blah blah. It's all up in that crater now. Both gone forever. Such a beautiful world it became."

"Yeah, well, not where I come from. Harmony is here to stay." Ician replied sharply. "And it's going too, I can assure you."

Welissa chuckled. "There's rumors that one of the scientists said these exact words seconds before blowing up half of Equestria."

"I'm not a scientist, am I?" Ician answered. "And unlike that rumoured scientist, I actually mean it."
