The Multi-Dimensional OC Bar

"... Yes, love can blind you like that." Schwarm said quietly. "I've learnt a long time ago that it's a foolish idea to trust your emotions."

"I've learned to ignore love whenever possible. I mean, certain parts can be fun, but in the long run it ruins your life and whatever freedom you have left." Griff says after finishing his beers. "Friendship, however, will also screw you up if you befriend someone who fights often. The bigger the friendship, the tougher it will be to accept the fact that they died if they do." He adds. "And thus I travel solo, without being in any relationships."

"It's good to have friends, just that you can't get hung up over losing them." Schwarm took another sip of cider. "I've got lots of friends. Not particularly close ones, but friendly trading contacts will always come in handy."

"Well," Griff says as he stands up, slightly wobbly from alcohol, and stretches. "I suppose that's enough for now.."

"Yes, you did drink a bit much." Schwarm observes as he stands up. "A bit too much. You should sleep it off."

"Eugh I'll be fiiine." Griff says as he makes his way to the door. "I've had it worse before." He stops before the door. "I have a feeling I'm forgetting something... but don't know what..."

Schwarm shrugged. "Can't think of anything, myself."

"Well..." he says and opens the door. "Laters, I guess ..." he says and wobbly walks out, closing the door behind him.

"Bye." Schwarm nodded as he left, finishing up his cider and lowering the mug carefully to the tabletop.

Graham walked into the bar, his expression seeming cheery; everything else seemed worse for wear. His coat was torn, he was slightly bruised, and he had a bandage around his forehead.

He sat down and ordered a glass of wine, which he chugged down as soon as he got it. He then asked to have the bottle of wine, and began to pour glasses, and down them immediately.

The door opens and a brown unicorn stallion enters. He glances around the mostly deserted tavern and heaves a sigh before approaching the bar. He takes a seat next to the beat up looking griffon and clears his throat in an attempt to get his attention, "Pardon me sir, but could I ask you a question?"

Graham stopped short of downing another glass and faced the stallion. He gave him a friendly, slightly forced, smile as he motioned for him to proceed. "You can indeed."

"You haven't by any chance seen a grey thestral come through her a recently, have you? You see, I am somewhat responsible for him, but he has not checked in with me like usually, so I am trying to track him down."

"A grey thestral..." He said, thinking about those he previously met in the bar. "You're referring to Rain Blade, no? That chap with the split mind?"

"Yes, exactly. Do you know where he has gone?"

Graham shook his head. "No. All I know Is that he left after me and... Another chap," he said, not remembering who he was with at the time,"got concerned about him after he got a migraine. He snapped at us, I made a remark that prompted him to say that he had a therapist to tell him what I'd said. Then he stormed out." He said, before he finished his glass of wine. "You wouldn't happen to be that therapist, would you? If you are; you're not doing a very good job. He's still got issues to work through, namely about friends." He said, slighty bitter.

The unicorns ear twitches at his comment, "I am aware of my patients' issues, far more than you ever will be, so I would appreciate it if you would not criticize my performance, considering I am the one with the doctorate in psychology and you are, by the looks of it, some sort of low life or criminal. Not to mention Rain's case is very unique, so conventional methods do not always work as planned, the whole process is a lot of trial and error. Plus I would imagine he was drinking, which tends to sour his mood and make him say things that are not entirely true. If this is the way you were with them it is no wonder that they snapped."

Graham kept a bitter expression for a moment, before it turned apologetic. "... I suppose you're right. I don't know much about psychology, and I suppose he would be a unique case. So, apologies. I'm just not in the best of moods right now..." He said, before giving the stallion with defensive look. "Though, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't make such a judgement on me. I may be a pirate, sort of, but I'd like to think of myself as a bit better than a low-life." He said matter of factly.

He sighs, "That was uncalled for, I apologize. I haven't even introduced myself, I am Doctor Frederick Leopold," he offers a hoof to the griffon. "And you are?"

"Graham." He said as he took the doctors hoof and shook it. "Just Graham. Oh, and it wasn't entirely uncalled for. I shouldn't have insulted you like that." He saidwith a apologetic smile. "Oh, by the way, I may not be a doctor, or a therapist, or... Any kind of psychological authority, but isn't there any way to stop Mr. Blade from drinking? It sounds like it causes some problems."

"He doesn't have a drinking problem, he just doesn't behave well when he's had too many. I have tried to make quite, at least temporarily, but Blade does not listen to me as much as Flare does. Blade is the least of my worries anyways, Flare was the most affected by the event. He has to deal with the fact that he should not exist on top of losing the ones he loved and a nearly perfect life. Most of Blade's friends have forgiven him and he has Spring Heart while Flare is essentially alone, though Spring does her best for him as well, he does not always accept her care."

"Hmm... Interesting..." Graham said, pondering about his and Rain's parting words. "If you don't mind me asking; does flare have a tiny temper problem? And, or, does he believe he Is incapable of making friends?" He said, curious.

"A bit of both, he is easily frustrated because of his self hatred. He is angry at himself a lot of the time and takes it out on others on occasion. Because of the self hatred he also thinks he isn't worthy of friends and that nobody should care about him. It usually isn't too bad, but there are times when he gets very depressed, and thus very angry, and then has episodes like the one you experienced. I'm sure that next time the two of you meet, he will apologize for his actions. He apologizes a lot because he often blames himself fr things, even things he had no control over."

'So I wasn't speaking with Rain in the end...' Graham thought to himself. "Interesting. He seems like a bit of a mess, if you don't mind me saying. Though, I suppose he has a good reason to be." He said as he poured himself another glass of wine and downed it rather quickly. He picked up the wine bottle and offered it to Frederick. "Want some?"

"Yes, his mind is very fragile and he is prone to mood swings," the doctor considers a moment, then nods. "I would appreciate a glass, thank you."
