"Those that aren't sick and manage to reach the quarantine barrier before that week's time will have the potential to leave the quarantine," said the giant visage of Princess Twilight. Sure she'd said more both before and after, but it was at that point that a roar like sound began to grow. A panic had already been spreading, stirring emotions and building tensions to almost their breaking point, and that announcement proved more than enough to push nearly everypony over the edge. Some immediately bolted to the streets and began tearing down them, completely disregarding the rest of the Princess's announcement. Some turned violent with it, attacking any who barred their way, or just weren't going fast enough. Chaos quickly filled the once pristine city in such a manner than even Discord might have found it distasteful. It didn't matter to those still in the city, all they worried about was making it to that barrier at all costs, for all knew that to be trapped in the quarantine meant almost absolute death for most.

Reaching the barrier in question wasn't going to be any small task either, as the structure was being built at the base of the mountain, over a day's hike through rough terrain. A long and dangerous trek even without everypony else struggling desperately to get down first.

Alright, so now we look to starting up the second arc in this on-going thread chain known as What Was Lost. As with the prior thread, this thread will feature a general story direction that's driven by your choices, which will likely have consequences for better or for worse later on in the game. Now just to keep things clear, as per the ending of the prior game, all magical and air travel out of the quarantine zone is restricted, meaning that if you have your character try to escape via those methods, they will be caught and they will be detain or killed.

Now, players who were in the prior thread will have a preference when it comes to getting into this game should lots of people sign up, but just to be clear, this game isn't being restricted to just them. If you want in on this apocalypse, feel free to throw in a sign up. Also to those who were in the prior game, this one is more or less picking up RIGHT where the last game ended, so you'll more or less be starting where you were in the prior thread when it ended.

I think I'll throw Dusk Hammer in here, and have it be that he was in Canterlot doing business when the infection began, and he stayed to assist the guards and medical personnel as much as he could. I figure he'd have a weapon and armor, but little protection from the infection itself as he's a civilian.

The Chosen One is most certainly ready to take advantage of the situation.
