Wayward Souls (private)

"Wow, do you think we'll have a hard time finding ponies to help?" Brim asked as he looked around a bit.

Surrounding them were a decent number of ponies, and Lightning would probably recognize quite a few. Off to the right Button Stitch was sitting with the owner of Quills and Sofa's. Roseluck and a few of the other flower seller ponies were sitting at another table. Lastly, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie were talking excitedly and grinning mischievously at another table.

((OOC: Don't worry bout it, I've been a bit busy with things))

lightning smiled at all the familiar faces, she nodded "i dont believe so hehe" she giggled as she took in the faces

Brim wasn't sure how to continue the conversation, and Lightning seemed to be busy looking at ponies she used to know. Luckily, the waiter showed up at that point. "Are you two ready to order?" he asked simply while glancing between the two ponies.

"I am," Brim replied happily before looking back to Lightning to see if she was.

she smiled and nodded "sure, im actually really hungry, ill take all your specials hehe" she said with confidence, and a smile for brim.

The waiter nodded and then took Brim's order of a simple sandwich and some hay fries before departing back to the kitchen and other tables. When he left Brim looked back over to Lightning with a curious look. "So after we eat, where should we go first since you know the town and all?" he asked with wide eyes at the prospects of seeing all kinds of new sights and things.

she began to think "hmm, well i guess we just wonder around to find somepony to help" she suggested.

"Alright, but what all is around here anyways? This doesn't look like that big of a town but I still don't know all that much about things," he said somewhat somberly and his expression downing just a bit.

"i want to let that be more of a surprise for you, i mean i can tell you theres a library i used to visit all the time, theres a school, a bowling ally, allsorts" she said waiting for the food to arive.

Brim was about to continue, but the waiter took that chance to show up with their food. The smells were wonderful and Brim was very quickly distracted by them. He was soon eating with the usual gusto he managed. The ponies around them continued their own meals as well, some getting up and leaving while others just arrived. The new arrivals threw the odd pair a glance, but not much more than that.

lightning took to her food, eating it with no hesitation, but with a defernate smile on her face.

Brim finished his meal and then waited for Lightning to finish her considerably larger one. Once she was done, then Brim got up and waited for lightning to get up so they could leave and begin the day.

lightning finnished it like nothing and got up, "lets go" she anounced, as she walked to the door.

Brim nodded and proceeded along with the mare. Outside ponies were going about their days normally. Some were trotting through the town with saddlebags and doing a bit of shopping, others were operating the stalls and shops. There was a single pony painting the side of a building, and a few more moving a large couch onto the back of a cart. Overhead, pegasi soared about the clouds tweaking the weather just a little bit here and there to ensure that the day was bright and sunny.

Brim was watching the scene with wide eyes. While the number of ponies was lower, they seemed a lot more friendly to each other and not as in much of a rush, to the demon.

lightning walked through the town smilling looking for someone to help

She wouldn't have to look far or very hard as there appeared to be several ponies that could benefit from a helpful hoof. There were the ponies trying to load the couch, the one painting, the school teacher walking with a large group of foals and struggling to maintain order over them. Quite the spread of choices, Brim however was still looking around excitedly, seeming to momentarily forget what they were actually supposed to be doing.

"ok, brim.. i think helping with the sofas will do nicely in turms of being the most helpful lets go" lightning anounced with a smile.

Hearing his name, the demon turned towards Lightning to give her his undivided attention and when she was finished with her proposal, he nodded with a smile of his own before proceeding over towards the working ponies. It of course didn't take long for the workers to notice the mare and demon walking towards them, and they got visibly a little nervous. At least until Brim offered a friendly wave and spoke.

"Hello, we're official helper ponies appointed by the princess. Do you need any help?" he asked almost professionally, but there was enough pauses and moments where he had to think to destroy some thoughts of competence

"Uhh... sure?" the works responded shifting about to make room for Brim and Lightning so they could help in lifting and moving the furniture. Brim took his spot and waited with the others for Lightning to take hers.

lightning took hold of it and the sofa became notable quite abit lighter before lightning ajusted and it became not as light as if any pony had helped.

Brim didn't notice, but the others did. Though most of them just thought they'd imagined it when the weight returned seconds later. With the addition of the two extra bodies though, the work became relatively easy and soon enough the cart was loaded up with furniture and being pulled away by the buyer. One of the loaders then trotted up to Lightning and Brim. "Hey thanks you two, good to see a couple of simple ponies out to help others," he said before blinking a quick few times at their appearances. "Uhh, maybe not quite simple ponies, but hey still appreciate the work. Thanks again," he finished before turning and heading back to the store.

Brim then turned to Lightning with a hesitant look on his face. "Is that all?"

"i guess so.. now where do we go" she said with a shrug

"Well, what's that pony doing?" Brim asked while pointing toward the pony who was painting the side of a building. While she was making decent progress, it was slow when one looked at the magnitude of the building and how much she still had to paint.

lightning had an idea, if she was a cartoon thered be a lightbulb above her head, she quickly ran off, then returned her hoof pointed and primed.

Brim was curious at what Lightning was doing, though he still had no real idea what the other mare was doing or why she was doing it, so for the moment, he just sat back to see what Lightning's idea was.

the mare was floated down to the ground and the paint was floated out in a globul, then it was analysed the dirt was lifted up, the dirt separated from some of its components, turned into more paint and was equally dispersed on the wall. "how about that" she said triumphantly and rather exorstedly.

The painting mare was somewhat shocked, and kind of looking around to see if anypony could explain what just happened. Brim was somewhat doing the same, but his eyes instead of looking around, went straight to Lightning, mouth still open as he awaited an explanation as to what just happened.
