Name: Divinus Lancea

Race: Pegesai

Age: 32

Mane: Red, trimmed into a Mohawk style like most military pegesai, though it's becoming ragged

Coat: Gold, neat and trimmed in standard military style, though it's starting to become ragged and matted

Cutie mark: A lance surrounded by lighting

Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: His eye color matches his mane. He is soft-spoken and appears half asleep most of the time.

Distinguishing Features: He wears a full set of scale-mail plus a helmet that makes an allotment for his mane. The cloth over the scale-mail is ripped and tattered, though his armor isn't rusted.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He is able to naturally create lighting through a very specific breathing pattern, though he doesn't know it. He believes it comes from devout prayer and belief. He is immune to his own lightning. He can also bless water with healing properties, which also causes it to hurt unnatural or undead creatures.

Weaknesses: His movements are extremely lethargic, due to drifting around in time for so long. His fighting style requires him to charge at opponents for his lance attacks to be effective. Even worse, his mental state is extremely fragile, meaning he could try to reason with a dragon, or attempt to attack a random pony he mistook for an enemy.

Occupation: none

Gear:

Solar Lance:A lance made out of a rare metal called paladinium, which Paladins are named after. It channels lighting through itself with maximum efficiency with no ill effects to the user.

Talisman of the Sun: A talisman that Divinus uses to pray. It has no use other than keeping his mind together

Scale-Mail: Standard scale-mail of Sunlight Paladins. It originally had cloth over it that bore the insignia of the sun, but the insignia has long faded and the cloth and cape have fallen to tatters. The lance holder still works. The armor itself also works just fine, despite its age.

History: Divinus Lancea was a knight who lived during the wars between the three pony tribes. He and others had found that if they recite certain prayers while keeping control of their breathing, their bodies created lighting that could smite their foes. With this newfound power, Lancea helped found the Sunlight Paladins, called that due to their belief that their power came from the sun. He was third in command of the paladins, and lead their soldiers into combat with the unicorns. He was accomplished, he could recite prayer with talisman in one hoof and lance spearing a unicorn in the other. But it changed, on the fateful day that would be remembered as the final charge of the dawn brigade. Lancea had assembled his soldiers, and they were ready to make the final push, and force the unicorns back to Canterlot. But the unicorns were ready. As the pegesai soldiers charged with the rising sun at their backs, the spell activated, causing their bodies to turn to ash and blow away in the wind. He was forced to watch his soldiers dissipate, and prayed they would find a better life as he turned to ashes. He later awoke in The Things Betwixt, disconnected from his timeline, and dragged into other timelines. He would try to help others, but he would dissipate and return to The Things Betwixt again and again. He eventually became sleep deprived, and rested at the base of one of the trees, and would show up on a battlefield, still resting. Those sightings of him earned a reputation as a sort of good luck charm with superstitious soldiers, many calling him the Lost Knight. If a pony dares to get close enough, they can hear him muttering a prayer or reciting a psalm in his sleep.

Personality: Lancea is very devout and serious, throwing himself mind, body and soul at a task until it is complete. His ways are very antiquated, due to he himself being antiquated. He tries to hang onto his fading memories, but try as he might, they disappear slowly. He is very emotional and regrets the war, but he would be willing to fight for a worthy cause if it reaches him and he is able to stay in the time period.

Current Home: If by home, one means the spot he rests at between getting pulled into different timelines, The Things Betwixt. The Things Betwixt appears as a large forest that expands in every direction, under a sky full of bright and shinning stars.

Misc: He is able to stay in a time period where somepony recognizes him as a pony, rather than a phantom or an object of superstition, but if the pony observing him dies, stops observing him for a long period of time, or forgets about him, he returns to The Things Betwixt.

Name: Mercurial Spectre
Race: Unicorn
Age: Unknown
Mane: Shimmering purple
Coat: Dark purple
Cutie mark.: A dark purple pearl
Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Her eyes glow in a ghastly teal color and she has black lipstick.

Distinguishing Features: Has an almost ghost-like presence and her speech is almost impossible to understand. Her speech sounds as if she were originally speaking in reverse, then her voice had been reversed to sound like normal.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): She can throw spectral daggers that allow her to bypass terrain. Not only that, she can create illusions of herself that can appear next to her enemies instantly. She is also adept at striking down solitary opponents with or without her illusions. Lastly she is also very resistant to mundane and magical weaponry.

Weaknesses: Her main weakness is weaponry that banishes ghosts, since it is the only type of weaponry that can truly deal damage to her. Though she can be defeated by normal means, it will take a lot more effort with a claymore than with a priest's cross.

Occupation: None

Gear: A scythe jutting from her left hoof.

History: Originally a pawn of Discord, upon the draconequus' defeat Mercurial was banished to Tartarus for her crimes. However, she managed to strike a deal with Cerberus. She would be torn in two and the other half would be permitted to stay in Equestria, in return Cerberus would gain half of Mercurial's soul until she either served her sentence in Tartarus or was banished again.
This proved to be a mistake, however. Despite gaining her powerful abilities, she lives in two worlds at once, her spirit torn between two places. In time however, she realized that to end her suffering, she must "Ascend" or, in other words, be banished a second time, this rejoining her soul, spirit and body back into the one true Spectre. Yet despite repeated attempts, Celestia and Luna have merely resorted to jailing her, which has never worked. Her total sentence in the Canterlot jail is enough to last seven lifetimes, yet she would be able to outlast them easily.

Personality: In essence, she could be compared to a 2 year old foal lost in Maretropolis, in the middle of traffic during rush hour. She feels like she doesn't belong and is desperate to Ascend. Because of her goals, she resorts to crimes and such, though she will not kill anypony. She also dislikes the royal sisters due to them not allowing her the chance to Ascend.

Current Home: Her true home resides in Tartarus.

Misc: This character is only to be used in supernatural RPs, as she is OP in regular roleplays.

Because D&D is such a fantastically versatile system, you'd be surprised how much D&D'ing you can get away with and still not be overpowered or outside of show canon. The only D&D element that didn't fit was the dragons.

...Oath, you do realize this isn't League of Legends, right? I've generally been tolerant of it from other people who've done character sheets because largely, they were new to the group. You aren't, so you know better or at least you should know better.

Actually, she really isn't. As such, you can use this character in normal RPing... but first you need to stop the ridiculous listing of specific abilities. I tolerate it from newbies who don't know better, but you've been around this group as long as I can remember and at last call, you're an admin. This character is just great: good history, not OP, no issues with her abilities or powers or anything... but this League of Legends format thing is absurd. Convert it to something more normal, just generally describing the sort of things she can do (like you do with every single other character you have); when you do that, consider it approved.

Name: Spare Change
Race: Hippogriff
Age: Typical play at ~14, but vague history goes up to around 40 years old, so I can play at up to thereabouts.
Mane: Gold, typically unkempt.
Coat/Feathers: Silver
Cutie mark.: Two bits, one flat and the other diagonal, resting partially atop it.
Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Golden eyes, a shade darker than his mane. Thin from a history of malnourishment, but clearly fit enough to not be anything describable as “sickly”. Over the age of 29, he has a scar over his kidneys, a result of surgery.
Distinguishing Features:
“Yeah, my little bro’s a bit of a softy, but can you really blame him?”
Like any hippogriff, Spare Change has the face, wings, diet, and front half of a griffon, the ears, mane, and back half of a horse, with a temperance composed of a mix-mash of the two species’.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Besides his sub-par strength, and just above-average flying ability, Spare has several abilities reflective of simply who he is, and beyond what one would call “normal” for any pony or griffon. They are known as agape, philia, στοργ, and eros.

“I swear, my brother has literally farted rainbows. That’s how much friendship he has.”

Spare Change is a unique creature in ways completely unrelated to his patronage; namely, he is capable of channeling that rare and elusive magic known as “friendship” through his body--a la the Elements of Harmony--a feat that typically involves lots of big ham moments, either a musical interlude or a rousing speech of camaraderie, followed by a suddenly explosion of rainbows from his body, and a subsequent blast of love and tolerance getting shot into the face of whatever foul villain has just faced the power of friendship.
While this power is nothing compared to the actual, de facto Elements of Harmony, it is a similar sort of magic. In essence, getting struck head on with it forces a pony (or whatever gets hit) to have an epiphany--they will suddenly realize just how much harm their actions have caused and will cause if they continue on with what they are doing, and are forced to experience this at their full capacity to empathize--and oftentimes, this is sufficient to end any sort of disharmonious tendencies in anypony thus struck.
Of course, this power is fueled entirely by Spare’s own friendship and harmony with those around him, making it roughly useless in a one-on-one fight (as he would have no one to power his power, after all), but it quickly grows in strength with the more ponies that he empathizes with that are nearby (friends do it best of all, but he can get some power off of strangers, even strangers that he’s fighting, if he’s actually empathizing with them. Hell, the purpose of the start-up bits, like a speech or song, are typically there to help him empathize with his audience.)

”Have you ever seen a pony or griffon walk into town, beg for a few bits or a smattering of food, and walk out of town with a full belly, 20 bits, and two steaming pies for the road? Because that’s how we got through our youths. Mostly because Spare distracted everypony while I stole the pies.”

Luckily for Spare, he’s great at making friends. It’s not so much in his physical appearance (which has varied from “unkempt urchin”, to “immaculate innocence”, to “motherlicking adorable” throughout his life), as much as it’s natural charisma and social skills. He is nearly always perceived as infectiously friendly and happy-go-lucky. To Spare Change, making friends is just as natural as breathing is for everypony else, though many bonds might be tenuous at best.
As an aside, he is abnormally empathetic and can does a very good job of understanding both a pony’s emotional state, and if they’re trying to hide this state. Of course, there are always ponies whose expressions and body language aren’t the same as the norm, but it’s still a good sense for guessing a pony’s mood at a glance.

”Love’s a powerful thing. More powerful than fear or pain. My brother’s just a little more in-tune with it than most ponies or griffons.”

Many ponies place defending themselves as a primary goal, but Spare Change finds that defending those he knows best far more important than his own well-being. When those he loves are placed in danger--especially Pocket--Spare will go to any length to protect them, despite any danger to himself, with no fear and no hesitation.

”Next time you make an impassioned speech, check for signs of being on fire. If you are on fire, you’ve caught whatever insanity Spare’s got.”

The fires of passion are a powerful thing, left unchecked, and while Spare’s passions are typically channelled into his more harmonious elements, sometimes, they leak out in unharmonious ways. With no direction, strong emotions can and will leak out of him, appearing as a sort of ethereal fire, sprouting purely from his body. While this fire normally won’t spread to inanimate objects, it can and will leave signs of burning on them, and it will definitely burn other ponies given the chance.
If he’s doing this, it’s unlikely that he’s mentally stable, as the flames are indicative of disharmony, and are a corruption of his agape. Anger, hatred, any festering, powerful, and foul emotion can be twisted into this dark force. Directing it in any meaningful way is nearly impossible, and typically falls down to just physically striking opponents and letting the fire burn in that manner, though it lashes out at friend just as harshly as it does at foe.


Weaknesses:
”I’m sorry to say this to you ponies, but we don’t truly belong among your kind. You’re too friendly for me, and Spare outdoes the whole lot of you when it comes to the friend game anyway.”
● While not strictly stigmatized, per se, Spare doesn’t really fit in too well with either of his ancestral societies. Whilst he acts much like a pony, and all of the “nurture” side of his upbringing was equine in origin, by nature, he is still in many ways a griffon: he eats meat and finds both hay and flowers bland and unappetizing; he finds scuffles and brawls relatively normal and has no problem participating in such in good fun; catharsis, to him, seems like a natural thing, and the complete repression of more “negative” emotions in society has always confused him. In the end, even if every single pony had no issue with him being a half-breed-abomination-of-nature, he’d still have issues perfectly melding in with pony society.
● Spare Change isn’t exactly what one would call “stable”; when stressed out, he does his best to hide it under more and more faux happiness, until he reaches the breaking point. The fact that this essentially ruins all of his powers except for his uncontrollable eros and sends him into self-destructive rages doesn’t exactly do well for his sanity. His constant happiness is largely an outer shell, and once that’s peeled away, his true self is utterly vulnerable.
● After a youth spent with malnutrition on one shoulder and the long arm of the law on the other, Spare’s endurance and physical strength are noticeably lacking. Even when he is well-fed and healthy, he’s never as healthy as a normal pony or griffon, and his sickliness will follow him throughout his life.

”Even though Spare and me grew up side by side, I’d be the first to admit that even though we get along great, we have nothing in common.”
Spare Change embodies the philosophies of hedonism, primarily of the Cyrenaic and Epicurean schools. To him, pleasure and joy are the greatest forms of good, and should be openly expressed. He loves everyone around him quite actively, and does his very best to assure the happiness of all, trying to alleviate suffering where he can (as suffering, conversely, is the form of evil).
He likes long walks on the beach, sand in his talons, the breeze in his feathers, and a good fruity beverage (whether it’s alcoholic or not) going in his beak and down his throat. Offending him is approximately impossible (well, you might offend him, but then he’d just try to very nicely explain to you your misconception), and that constant smile could make anyone’s world flip upside-down.

Current Home: N/A, even as he and his brother grow up, their nomadic tendencies from their youths continue.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Outside of his well-honed dexterity and slightly sub-par flying ability, Pocket is uniquely defined by 4 closely linked abilities: eros, στοργ, philia, and agape.

”Pocket’s solution to everything is just a slap in the face. OW. And if that doesn’t work, slap it harder.”

Pocket Change possesses a striking capacity to channel a form of magic based upon his own emotional state using his hooves. While it could, in theory, be powered by any strong emotion, Pocket has only ever fueled it with hatred and anger, and only really used it as a brute-force offensive. Typically, this just devolves into producing concussive blasts at point blank as part of a strike, or in the form of balls of diluted rage with just as much bang for your buck. This power is consciously controlled, and whenever he is calling upon his eros, his hooves and eyes are visibly wreathed in golden fire, and whatever emotion he’s channelling into it is multiplied within himself, proportionally to the amount of power being used; throwing rage into his eros only leaves him angrier, hatred only makes him hate ever more.

While his brother finds protecting others a powerful drive, something capable of letting him overcome injuries that would leave other ponies unconscious or incapable of movement, Pocket goes far beyond him in his urge to protect his family, and seeing as Spare is the only family he has, he is far beyond determined to keep him. Beyond fuelling his eros at those who would endanger his loved ones, Pocket Change will literally do the impossible in defense of his beloved brother. Be it walking 20 miles with a broken leg, lifting up chunks of rubble twice as big as he is,

Pocket, despite a rough demeanor and a couple tendencies towards violence, is a skilled judge of character, and is capable of judging most situations at a glance. Although he doesn’t typically do great at making friends (considering that his greatest gesture of friendship is a brawl), he still prides himself on being able to tell what kind of pony any pony he talks to with is, just through dialect, body language, and expressions. He’s also talented at reading cutie marks, though it’s not like ponies have any problem with that to begin with.

”Look, I know you think there’s something wrong with Pocket, but you need to understand--he keeps everything bottled up, sealed away from himself. He doesn’t let it out, for good reason.”
Pocket’s weakest love is that which is unconditional, but his strongest holds another trait of agape: it is completely unrequited. Alone and forgotten, his love has festered, for those that receive it do not care if it is received; and like any wound that has festered in such darkness, there are horrible things beneath it.
Pocket’s channelling of agape comes unbidden and with little warning, manifesting physically as tears of blood dripping from his eyes, and an ethereal green mist rising from his hooves. I best resembles the darkest of magicks, and can only destroy--this magic burns and scars all that it touches, and its lack of direction only makes it worse.

Weaknesses:
● While not strictly stigmatized, per se, Pocket doesn’t really fit in too well with either of his ancestral societies. Whilst he acts much like a pony, and all of the “nurture” side of his upbringing was equine in origin, by nature, he is still in many ways a griffon: he eats meat and finds both hay and flowers bland and unappetizing; he finds scuffles and brawls relatively normal, and has no problem participating in such in good fun; Asceticism, to him, seems like a natural thing, and the constant expression of every kind of emotion throughout society has always confused him. In the end, even if every single pony had no issue with him being a half-breed-abomination-of-nature, he’d still be an outcast from society.
● Sure, he’s good at keeping his emotions under lock and key, but Pocket Change doesn’t just hold in his emotions for rational reasons. He loves his brother, but he buries it so deep beneath his ice-cold outside that it pops out on the other side so hard that sometimes he just cannot control himself. He’s possessive of the lad, and will fight to keep him, even if that means hurting himself in the process. And it typically results in hurt bodies and hurt feelings all around for everyone. Locked in the friendzone for all eternity, Pocket will forever be doomed to emotional instability and a breaking point just beneath the surface.
● After a youth spent running around and only having enough food occasionally, Pocket’s a bit on the thin end of the weight spectrum, and he’ll never be as physically strong as a pony who’s worked just as hard who hasn’t gone through the malnutrition he has. He depends largely on skill and dexterity when it comes to physical events, and while his stamina doesn’t match up with most pony’s, he still manages to come on top, for the most part.

”I’m always worried about Pocket. I mean, sure, he’s smart and all, but I always get the sense he’s hiding something important from me.”
Pocket Change is a hippogriff one could easily regard as ultimately stoic. He most certainly feels emotions, but he keeps them buried down beneath the surface, and reacts to problems in coldly logical ways. He embodies the concept of ἀπάθεια (apatheia)--eradicating emotional and egotistical reactions to external events--and he simply acts through rationality.
Of course, hiding all his feelings behind the curtain can’t work all the time. And he’s a nasty piece of vitriol whenever that happens. Particularly when his brother, who he loves, is threatened.
And although he’s never been formally educated, Pocket is street-smart and skilled at keeping around some money. Common sense and rationality are what define him the most. He enjoys the feeling of grass between his talons and under his hooves, the breeze through his feathers, and a good salad, with or without a bit of wine or spirits. He dislikes beer, and the fastest way to get the cold shoulder (or a good slapping) from him is either saying something bad about his brother or about hippogriffs in general.
Current Home: N/A, even as he and his brother grow up, their nomadic tendencies from their youths continue.

Love is a complicated thing, even without the added complexity of spiritual beings that embody it in all of its myriads of ways. But sometimes, spirits grow old, become forgotten, or find that other creatures better embody their aspects. Sometimes, what they embody finds a better host on its own, and this is what happened to the spirit whose essence would later find itself as part of Spare and Pocket Change. The love spirit was already weakened with the strike of the first Hearth’s Warming, where the three species of ponies took upon themselves the qualities of agape: an unconditional, unrequited love. The elements of harmony presented the greatest blow to its continued existence, however, as their usage carried with it the power of harmony, and its users, godlike beings themselves, embodied storge: love of the familiar. Shaken apart and already weak, the spirit would never recover its full might until the final blow was struck upon it: The birth of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. The pony who would be later known as the princess of love, and the physical embodiment of eros: passionate love.
Brought down so low, with nearly all of its strength migrated from its own essence, the spirit simply faded away, or, it was supposed to have. Nay, instead, its essence would later be incarnated within many ponies around the world, including the womb of a creature whose love had crossed all boundaries and defied the limits of species; with this blessing, she would give birth to two sons, each one’s soul inexorably linked to the power of love.



Spare and Pocket Change were born identical twins, and orphaned at the meager age of 5; Pocket is the only one of the two with any memory of his parents, and even that is vague, though he’s rather sure his mother was a pony. Abandoned in Equestria with naught but their wits, unconquerable adorableness, and each wielding a mystical force powered purely by their emotions, they struggled to keep themselves together. Sometimes, food and money were plentiful, if the locals were charitable enough, but they could never stay in one place for long, as ponies would always tire of their antics, and their nature as halfbreeds left them little in the way of “fitting in”.
With life so less than perfect, Pocket took it upon himself to ensure that even when ponies weren’t directly giving anything to them, that there was always at least something to eat--it didn’t matter if it was trash or if it was something just blatantly stolen while somepony wasn’t looking, it was food, and it kept the two of them alive. Sure, they had to skip town even more often, as the authorities were likely to start hunting them down, sooner or later, but that was a small price to pay. They would eventually supplement their diets with hunting of wild animals, and it was also in this capacity that Pocket and Spare would first hone their eros, using it as the weapon that it was.
As they grew older, they slowly settled into their roles; Pocket taking on the role of the “older”, more restrained brother, whilst Spare retained an innocent, playful exterior. But underneath it all, both of them were always unstable--Pocket always feared revealing too much about his inner self, and attempted to always hide his less-than-chaste attraction towards his twin; while Spare constantly feared losing himself to anger in the heat of the moment, a true danger given the nature of his eros. One day, he did hurt Pocket in a fit of rage, and swore then and there to never call upon his passions as a weapon--and he buried them as deeply as Pocket concealed his love.

After 14 (Definitely still WIP, still working on a lot of kinks)
Spare and Pocket, after passing through youth, quickly begin taking odd-jobs whenever and wherever they can, though they do their best to stick together through thick and thin.

At the age of 29, Pocket Change almost dies due to imminent kidney failure, and despite the risks (after all, he’d just had a twin brother go through it), Spare donates one of his kidneys to Pocket, nearly eliminating any chance for rejection. In the end, Spare would pay for this, dying from the failure of his remaining kidney at the age of 38.
One would think that Spare Change’s story would end there; death by kidney failure tends to stop ponies from doing much more in their life. But after a minute of being completely and utterly dead, Spare simply sat up on his deathbed and calmly requested to be allowed to go home with his brother. While most would call this a miracle, the fact that the heart monitors continued to say that he didn’t have a heartbeat, and the fact that his body was still as cold and nearly as stiff as a corpse, tells a different story.
Spare Change most certainly died; remaining dead, however, just wasn’t in the cards, with his brother around.

Name: Bittersweet Trails

Mane: Primarily turqoise, with a pink stripe and yellow stripe running down the left side.

Coat: white-pink

Cutie mark.: A ghostly pony and a long shadow intertwined.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Has a case of heterochromia, having one dark brown eye and one bright green.

Distinguishing Features: The aforementioned heterochromia, her mane also occasionally moves without any breeze when using her more advanced powers provided by her Familiar.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Bittersweet is a master herbalist and is one of the most skilled ponies in Equestria at spells in the field of illusions and projection. While her combative skills are lacking in comparison, due to her non-violent nature, she can still easily defend herself should the situation demand it.

Weaknesses: As mentioned her combat magic is raw power with no focus or finesse, making her predictable in a fight. Additionally, since her power is linked directly to the Familiar bonded to her, if Bittersweet tries to act in a way the spirit disapproves of it can prevent her magic.

Occupation: Freelance provider of magical spells and potions. Serves as an informant for Princess Celestia, reporting any mass changeling movement.

Gear: Bittersweet always carries with her a potion making kit. While not strictly gear she also uses Ink, her pet giant frog, to traverse the Shattered Glade more easily.

History: One of many apprentices raised in Canterlot Castle to take on roles in the castle in the future, Bittersweet Trails was being trained to become the potions master for Canterlot Castle but would routinely waver from her studies to look up ancient legends of Equestria, stories of spirits, magical places and beings from other worlds; more than a few times she outright left the castle against orders to seek these out.

Each time she as disappointed, until she decided to visit the Shattered Glade, where supposedly a race of spirits called the Familiars lived, powerful ponies in another life who now wandered the world as magic incarnate.

When she entered the Glade to explore Bittersweet quickly found why it was forbidden as the Shattered Glade is on the borders of Changeling territory. After being chased by a changeling patrol Bittersweet was saved by a large black frog that she would later name Ink, who took her to a Familiar that bonded with her, choosing her to use it's magic to help ponies.

Since then Bittersweet resides in the Glade studying the Familiars and giving information to the Princesses, who support her with money and, when she needs it, protection.

Personality: Despite her name, Bittersweet is a rather pleasant pony. She enjoys the forest she lives in for it's mysitque, continually fascinated and entranced by the mysteries of the world around her and determined to find out all she can about them.

While mostly non-violent Bittersweet isn't a total pacifist, she will fight if she feels she must; she was one of several contingency plans for the Crystal Empire in case Princess Twilight failed and travelled back to Equestria to combat Tirek, though by the time she arrived he had already been resealed.

Misc: In addition to Ink, her giant black frog, Bittersweet owns two other pets, a watersnake named Noodle and a tarantula named Ocho.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Appears malnourished to a small degree and her eyes seem to make her appear constantly tired.

Specialty: In addition to knowledge on the plant she has dedicated her life to, as well as several others equally as suited to flavoring hot beverages, she has a range of travel skills that helped her make the journey to Equestria by herself. These including making and handling tools, starting fires, all to a proficiency she could survive.

Weaknesses: On the scale of wonder to understanding of the world, she much prefers to be ignorant to keep the wonder of the world intact. Her love of side questing leads to difficulty with her main task. She is lacking in suspicion of others, sometimes to the point of seeming ignorant and foolish in areas she knows little of.

Occupation: Travelling barista

Gear: A hardwood staff mostly used as a walking stick and memento. It has claw marks of several kinds across it.
 
History: As a young child, she was a little hellion, but her parents helped to channel her energy into meditation and introspection, focusing her into the more serene, compassionate mare that she projects herself as today.

Her village had a rather large age disparity, with many settled adults and their children, but a void of younger adults between the groups. It was a part of the local culture to fall in love with your passion, and it was heavily promoted that you chase whatever dreams you had, before coming home and recounting the tales. Once her behavior was sorted and she actually had some level of listening skills developed, she began to realize that everypony around her almost all had at the least one big story - a claim to some measure of fame - and that she was surrounded by many extraordinary equines. Having heard them and felt the echoes of the emotions behind the stories, she wanted to be a part of one of these stories, or even have her own. This prompted months of her helping out where she could in order to try and be part of something. At 16, once they saw this was not going to be a phase, they sat her down and told her that she was physically and mentally mature enough that she could begin to travel if she wished, though she was encouraged to write home. She was elated by the offer but not enough to take it. She did not want to wander without purpose. What if she never found anything? With a goal success was measurable.

It was on a journey to the city later that year, which she eagerly went upon,  that she sampled the 'richly spiced water' as she had it explained to her known as coffee. The boost she felt from it was rather subtle but most certainly noticeable. She questioned her parents on why they hadn't introduced her to it sooner. They responded by saying they didn't like it, so thought she wouldn't either. It was then is clicked what her passion was, she had been told there were many kinds of coffee, different preparations too, there had to be one they liked!

That set her in motion, she now knew what she wanted to do. There was a whole world out there, and she had the will, as well as some of the means to be able to explore it. In the time that has passed from the start of the journey she swam with sharks, traveled thousands of miles by herself, made friends, and pottery, but she has not lost sight of her goal.

Personality:As is needed for a long term traveler, her behavior has a high amount of plasticity (when in roam after all). Most ponies respond well to polite and non invasive kindness that does not try to overstay it’s welcome. Is capable of rigid self discipline about things she feels are important to her, such as maintaining a level of innocence of as much as she can. This means she can be irate to some, who just want to understand how things work, while for her it is enough to know that they do and what she could do to make them better. She does not wish to change other ponies opinions and would much rather have them change hers.  She places a huge amount of value on her family — her parents, grandparents, cousins and all. True to her word, she tries to keep close to them and maintain contact, even if somewhat irregularly.

Name: Gartho (Horn Abs when visiting bars in Equestria)

Race: Minotaur

Age: 35

Mane: No mane, but his horns are slightly curved and have ridges on them that somewhat resemble flexed muscles.

Coat: Light brown, with his lower half being almost ebony in color.

Cutie mark.: None, since minotaurs in the show have been shown to not have cutie marks.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: The barbells and weights on his pants don't seem to make the pants fall down. He also has a british accent.

Distinguishing Features: Apart from his horns, the barbells on his pants are a dead giveaway of his identity.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Bar brawls, tab collecting and intimidation.

Weaknesses: He is really top-heavy so agile and small opponents can take advantage of that by tripping him. Given how most of his opponents are drunks, this weakness is usually not exploited.

Occupation: Enforcer for tavernkeeps wherever he goes.

Gear: Black pants that have steel barbells with adjustable weights hanging from them.

History: Never one to turn his back on a fight, Gartho was known for battling the biggest, meanest scrappers he could get his hands on. Christened Horn Abs by the drunken crowds, he waded into backroom brawls in every road tavern between Flankfurt and Tramplevania, until his exploits finally caught the eye of a barkeep in need of an enforcer. For a bit of brew, Gartho was hired to collect tabs, keep the peace, and break the occasional leg or two. Working for that barkeep made Gartho realize he liked this sort of occupation, combining his love for fighting and drinking. With the coronation of the new Princess in Equestria, Gartho has arrived in Equestria to spread his name further. The city of Canterlot seemed a bit too pish-posh for his tastes, but he works there to this day, roughing up bodyguards of nobles whos tabs are unpaid. Seeing their hired muscle hit the floor missing a tooth or two seems to unwind their bit purses, he has come to notice.

Personality: A guy used to waiting for others because of them being drunk or just plain stupid, as long as the one who's making him wait pays up, he's alright with them. He also likes those who willingly buy him drinks and those who really give him a chance to go all-out.

Current Home: A hotel in Canterlot. He usually never spends time there because of one of the occupants who is obese as heck and leaves no food behind.

Name: Canstatt

Race: Unicorn

Mane: Brown, scraggly and scruffy

Cutie mark.: A controlled flame (a fire inside a glass tube)

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Has a noticeable lump of scar tissue to the left of his horn.

Distinguishing Features: Mane is perpetually scruffy and often falls over his eyes. Left eye pupil appears to be "bleeding" into his iris due to a birth defect.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Canstatt has an astounding resilience to pain, often simply getting back up and continuing to fight despite being physically battered. Described by his fellow workers as a rabid dog that no one knows how to put down, his unpredictability aids him greatly in combat, as he can and will turn anything into a weapon.

Weaknesses: Often out of commission due to injuries taken in battle, the least overall efficient of the trio due to a tendency to forgo his magic and simply attack physically. In addition, his unpredictable tendencies make it sometimes difficult to work on a team with him.

Occupation: Bodyguard of Prince Blueblood

Gear: Wears a black flak vest for his own protection. Wears metal shoes to add to his physical attacks and when expecting trouble tends to carry a bandoleer of throwing knives and kunai.

History: Born in Germaney, even from a young age Canstatt was clearly exhibiting signs that many attributed to a psychopath, including a propensity for violence and a degree of sadomasochism, often getting into fights with bullies he couldn't possibly win seemingly on purpose.

Despite this Canstatt was an excellent student in school and excelled in college, though he was suspended more than once for behavior. Much to the disappointment of his family and some of his professors, Canstatt opted to depart for Canterlot to train to become a Royal Guard, leaving behind the career he had been pursuing as an Equestria Games athlete.

When training in Canterlot with the other guards Canstatt continually aggravated them, including his superior Princess Celestia. Only two were not pushed away by Canstatt's angry tendencies and psychotic tendencies, an earth pony named Baylor and a pegasus named Toombs, who proceeded to form a tight knit friendship with Canstatt, performing more efficiently as a unit of three than they ever had as members of larger units.

Even though the three continued to fail to fit into a cohesive unit with other ponies, Celestia saw their potential; the trio were assigned to the personal protection of Prince Blueblood, Celestia's niece and at the time only family living in Canterlot. Despite Blueblood being openly condescending of the three and seeing them as glorified servants, the trio stick through it due to their friendship with each other, knowing that if they are taken off this duty they will likely be removed from the guard entirely.

Canstatt is officially the trio's leader, a position that both he and Blueblood constantly question but in reality he is well aware that Toombs is more the leader than he is and keeps the position only as something of a figure head (putting the most openly violent member of the team in the most obvious spot as a preemptive warning).


Personality: Canstatt is a highly unstable individual when allowed to get emotional, spinning into psychotic rages and delusional ranting fairly often. Another reason that Toombs and Baylor are so essential for him to team with is that the two keep him grounded.

When kept grounded in such a manner Canstatt, while still ill tempered, is a highly tactical and manipulative individual, if unconventionally so; his plans often stretch credibility with his fellow guards but when pulled off properly they are usually effective.

When he has time off from guarding Blueblood Canstatt spends most of his time either fishing or reading when not around Toombs and Baylor.

Current Home: Lives in a room at the castle with Baylor and Toombs, owns an apartment in Canterlot.

Name: Toombs

Race: Pegasus

Age: 31

Mane: Black with a blond streak running down right side. Usually tied into a ponytail.

Coat: Light grey.

Cutie mark.: A tornado with feathers caught in the wind

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: During a fight his mane has a tendency to come out of it's ponytail and look wild by the end. His teammates wonder why he even bothers anymore.

Distinguishing Features: His mane makes him stick out as most guards tend to have only one toned manes. He's also one of the few pegasus guards to be placed in a bodyguard/security position, as pegasi are typically most at home on the battlefield.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Toomb's agility is to extreme levels even for a Royal Guard, routinely dodging arrow shots and thrown knives when he was training. Like his partners he is an exceptionally skilled combatant and is also the only one of the three to have anything resembling the Royal Guards public relations training; this allows him to speak for the trio when they must while keeping Baylor and Canstatt quiet.

Weaknesses: As his idea of training would suggest, Toombs is a pointless daredevil, often taking stupid risks for no reason other than he finds them fun even if they make his job and others harder. Additionally, in terms of pure endurance Toombs is certainly the weakest of the team, though he tends to be injured less often than Canstatt by virtue of having more of a sense of self preservation.

As mentioned in his bio, Toombs is a bad team player. The only reason he is such a coherent unit with Baylor and Canstatt is their personal friendship.

Occupation: Bodyguard to Prince Blueblood.

Gear: Only member of the three to wear no armor, instead wears just his holster with two short swords inside. The harness he wears to keep them on his person also contains an emergency first aid kit.

History: Born and raised as the son of a drag racer, Toombs initially wanted to follow in his mother's footsteps and take to drag racing himself but it didn't take long into his short career to know that he wasn't cut out for it. Despite his disappointingly short run, his mother encouraged him to do what he felt was right for him.

Initially Toombs had no clue what that was until, while leaving a race he had attended, he saw two pegasi brawling over the results of a bet. Seeing one of them draw a knife, Toombs intervened and kept the two down long enough for the guard to arrive. Getting a sense of thrill from it, Toombs joined a local martial arts group to get some training before packing up and moving to Canterlot to try out for the Royal Guard.

Even though his skills were impressive, Toombs was never considered for active duty due to his tendency to disregard his teammates and go off on his own. Because of not wanting to waste his impressive skills on display, he ended up spending two years in training simply because he refused to change his ways but also constantly kept demonstrating why he should be a guard.

That finally changed when Canstatt and Toombs became friends; while still incomplete, the two of them worked flawlessly as a team, covering for each other's weaknesses and amplifying each other's strengths. The introduction of them to Baylor added the power that the team had been lacking to aid their wild but efficient strategies.

Sadly integrating the three into larger patrols still proved fruitless. Not wanting to waste them, Princess Celestia assigned the trio to be bodyguards for Prince Blueblood.

Personality: Toombs is the most strategically minded of the trio and is clearly the leader in all but name to any observer, something even Blueblood hasn't failed to notice.

On a pure academic level Toombs is the only one of the three to lack any higher education (Canstatt having attended college and Baylor having graduated university on a sports scholarship) he's no fool and displays probably the most consistent common sense of the trio, though as one can tell by his daredevil antics even he sometimes lets it slip.

When not spending time with Canstatt and Baylor off duty Toombs is a fan of sparring in the guards gym room, flying into storms to experience the thrill of dangerous weather flight and classical music.

Current Home: A room in Canterlot Castle with Baylor and Canstatt. Owns a house back in Las Pegasus.

Misc: Currently dating Toffee Blue.

Race: Earth Pony

Distinguishing Features: Is noted to have a slightly oddly proportioned face, with small eyes and a larger than average snout.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Pure strength. While not as strong as Big Macintosh yet Baylor would definitely be considered in the same class as him and uses this to primarily serve as the intimidation of Blueblood's trio of bodyguards; if it comes to a fight, Baylor will be the first to get involved so long as the group is thinking tactically.

Weaknesses: Falls into the category of "unskilled but strong"; Baylor lacks the finesse and strategic planning of his two fellow bodyguards and instead is focused entirely on physical power. Thankfully, when paired with Toombs and Canstatt, their strategies make up for Baylor's lack of ability to make his own.

Occupation: Bodyguard to Prince Blueblood

Gear: The only member of the team to wear plate armor, Baylor wears full plate metal armor on his torso; his legs are covered by chainmail with two plates each to avoid impairing his movement too severely.

History: Baylor, unlike his partners, came from a noble background and was generally expected to be swamped by admirers by the time he was finished in his education, passing through to university on a scholarship for power lifting and generally expected to compete at the Equestria Games, potentially even the youngest ever in that group.

Instead Baylor, tired of the noble lifestyle which he found shallow and unfulfilling, decided to try his hand at maintaining a steady job for himself while continuing his training. On top of this, he constantly turned down advances from noble mares due to both a lack of interest and knowing that they were politically motivated.

By the time Baylor came to the castle to train to be a guard his family had all but disowned him and since Baylor wasn't coming to grips well with the guard training it seemed he would soon be finding himself in trouble. Luckily for him he managed to befriend Canstatt and Toombs, at a time where they also were in danger of losing their place, as their friendship wasn't making up for the lack of raw power in their unit, which Baylor provided.

When assigned to Blueblood as bodyguard duty Baylor was the only one who immediately took to the job and was a major component in convincing Canstatt and Toombs to remain on with him even though they knew the prince would be insufferable.

Baylor did indeed take part in the Equestria Games and won a silver medal in power lifting. He has subsequently split the money he gains from both the actual win and sponsorship with his friends, while that reputation makes them all that much more effective as bodyguards to the prince.


Personality: Baylor is a stallion of relatively simple tastes despite his upbringing; when not with friends his idea of an ideal evening is reading a good book by the fire. He has also occasionally joined Canstatt in his fishing hobby, though Baylor admits he doesn't quite have the patience for it.

While he talks more than Canstatt to "outsiders" of the trio, Baylor would still rather not and will try to find a polite way to end a conversation with strangers quickly if he can.

Current Home: A room at the castle with Canstatt and Toombs. Technically homeless outside of that due to still having lived at home previously with his family kicking him out, but lives with Canstatt at his offering should they ever need to leave the castle.

Misc: Baylor's success at the Equestria Games in powerlifting makes him one of few Equestria Games athletes to also be members of the Royal Guard.

Name: Ungetüm Jäger (usually just goes by Jäger)

Race: Mad scientist's monster, he used to be an earth pony

Age: 207, but he appears to be around the 20's/30's

Alignment: by perspective, chaotic evil

Mane: Dull green, kept short and messily spiked. Tail is noticeably different shade of green, by kept in a similar manner.

Coat: A little bit of patchwork here. Most of him is a dull orange, but his front left leg is mechanical and his back right flank and leg are actually a more yellow shade of orange with noticable stitching wherever two different colors come together.

Cutie mark: There are actually two seperate ones, on his left flank there's a shield being broken by a hoof, while on the other there's a rock.

Distinguishing Features: Aside from the patchwork and the mechanical leg, Jäger's also got a pair of mechanical wings. These however don't work as he's too heavy to actually fly. The best he's able to manage with them is the ability to glide, and even that's debatable when you see the landing. He's also got a full set of pointed teeth that a few of always manage to be exposed, even when he's got his mouth closed.

Specialty: Jäger's durability is probably the forefront of his specialty. He's able to take being hit, stabbed, crushed, impaled, electrocuted, set on fire, poisoned, dipped in acid, dismemberment, large amounts of concussive force, and the occasional honey badger, and still keep going. This isn't to say he's invicible, but simply able to take far more than the average pony to finally kill. Say somepony set him on fire for example, and so long as he's not reduced to ash he's liable to keep hitting whoever set him on fire until he's reduced to ash.

Next up is Jäger's ability to heal, not regenerate, but simply heal. This includes, but isn't limited to, replacing lost blood, wounds closing, and broken bones setting. This is at an accelerated rate, but not instantaneous which shows more of his ability to simply stand up again despite being beaten into a wall.

Lastly, we have Jäger's strength. Jäger's considerably stronger physically than a pony of his size, able to literally punch through most materials and lift several times his own weight (He should be stronger than Big Mac and he pulled a building in one episode so I guess it wouldn't be too outlandish to say he could throw a building or two if his halberd was out of reach).  

Weaknesses: Jäger's not smart. He's not stupid and he's got common sense, but he's certainly lenient to the mentality of 'hitting the problem hard enough with a brick' will eventually solve most things. It's just knowing what problem to hit with the brick is the tricky part.

Occupation: Mercenary for the most part.

Gear: His hat, it's very special to him. There's also some simple armor and clothing to make him at least able to pretend he isn't a monster in public and his good old halberd.

History: Ungetüm Jäger wasn't always the monster he appears to be now. A few hundred years ago, he was just another earth pony named Sprout. Nothing particularly special about him, his parents, or even the town they lived in aside from the mad scientist of a unicorn who lived up on the hill in the creep mansion but what town didn't have one of those. Yep, just a regular old town with nothing special to it at all.

And then disaster struck in the middle of the night. When Sprout was 16, a horde of monsters attacked the town, driving the ponies towards the mansion as they desperately tried to flee the slaughter. Both of Sprout's parents were killed just trying to make sure he made it to the mansion, leaving him with only a hat to remember them by. When the townsfolk arrived, the professor welcomed them into his home to take shelter from the nightmares outside.

While the monsters continued to prowl the abandoned town and around the base of the hill, the professor continued to offer sanctuary to the survivors of the town, but requested they help him with his... experiments. This was alright at first, and no one questioned the strange nature of the professor's experiments but over time, one or two of the survivors would go missing strangely. After that it didn't take long for rumors to begin, especially when these disappearances continued. Talk of how the professor had actually released the monsters just to get new test subjects and the like.

For the most part, Sprout ignored these rumors and simply continued to work for the professor without question, at least until he was called away in the middle of the night to assist in a 'special project'. Soon enough, Sprout found himself strapped down to an examination table with various tubes and other equipment hooked up to him. The professor told him that the monsters were his fault and he was trying to fix things, or at least re-establish control and that Sprout was to be the latest attempt. He was injected with a special serum that changed and mutated his body, turning him into the monster he is now as well as establishing a mind control effect over him. In the aftermath of the experiment Sprout, now named Ungetüm Jäger or monster hunter after the title of the experiment and since his memories had been erased by the mind control, found himself continuously sent out to fight, capture, and occasionally kill not only the monsters, but also some of the more unruly survivors.

Jäger didn't escape all these confrontations unscathed though, requiring 'replacement parts' after some of his injuries as well as just simply being subject to the occasional 'improvement'. It was thanks to one of these injuries that the established mind control was overwritten as the body part that had originally been infected was destroyed and the new one that regrew was free of contamination. With his new found freedom, Jäger did the only sensible thing to do, he beat the professor until he was a fine gooey paste and left. Now while this did make him feel better, even though he wasn't completely sure why, it did leave him without much purpose, drive, goals, or anything to live by. So Jäger took to simply wandering around, looking for a master worthy of his ability and where his next meal would come from. Jäger has continued to do so for years upon years, even occasionally taking work from the princess, though most of those deals are kept rather quiet.

Personality: Jäger's kind of simple, nice in his own way, easy to anger (especially if he loses his hat), and always looking for a good fight.

Current Home: Wanders

Misc: He's both inclined to be wary of and look towards unicrons since while one was what caused his transformation, a unicorn was also the first being to give him a purpose. He's also got a bit of an accent.

Distinguishing Features: When upset, the air around her crackles with electricity… A byproduct of her inability to properly control her magic. Ampera also has a tattoo of a blue lightning bolt under her right eye.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Ampera has a particular affinity for electricity, all of her spells influenced in some way or another by the element. For example, a telekinesis spell would weakly (or strongly, depending on how much energy put into said spell) charge whatever she levitates.

Weaknesses: Ampera’s major weaknesses would be her lack of control and her short temper. The former mostly directed towards her spellcasting--- (and partially towards her drinking problem) can be particularly well seen whenever someone upsets her---- Which happens way more often than she’d like to admit, in the brief discharges of electricity from her horn that create the effect mentioned in the distinguishing features.

Occupation: Ampera originally worked as a math teacher in one of Canterlot’s many magical academies, until an accident involving one of her students, geometry homework… and a bit of name calling resulted in Ampera literally blowing the roof off of the place during one of her bouts of anger. She’s now unemployed and spends most of her time at her parent’s Canterlot home, practicing magical control and anger management techniques… and getting drunk.

Gear: Nothing in particular.

History:  Ampera, born Ampera Bandiix Charge, was born to a fairly normal unicorn family of clockmakers in Canterlot’s commercial district. Growing up, she was never really fond of other ponies---That isn't to say she avoided them... but, she preferred to be on her own, at home, staring into the sky watching the clouds roll by. One day, when she was walking home from school during a storm, lightning struck the road mere meters ahead of her, splitting an old tree in two. Ampera, fascinated by the beauty and incredible power of this force of nature, went home and attempted to recreate it. After many hours of trying and coming up with nothing, Ampera cursed at herself in frustration, unintentionally charging her horn in anger. One deafening boom, and several singed wood panels later…. she was rewarded with her cutiemark, what seemed to be a frustrated cloud during a lightning strike.

Personality: Short tempered, Ampera tends to zap the crap out of whatever upsets her.

Current Home: Canterlot

Misc:
Prefers to be called Amp. Ampera is a hardcore alcoholic, rarely going longer than an evening without something to drink.

Race: Earth Pony

Mane: Short, reddish-brown.

Coat: Dark orange

Cutiemark: A hammer striking a large boulder, the boulder having cracks where it was struck

Distinguishing Features: He's a foot shorter than the average mare. He has a bushy beard that goes halfway down his chest. And he's very loud.

Specialty: Sledge, though quite small, is very strong, more than making up for his small size by constantly exercising and trying to get stronger so no one can mess with him. He also excels at breaking things.

Weaknesses: Hubris. Deadly Pride. Hates being ignored or insulted, usually gets only irritated for the former, but enraged at the latter. He never knows when to give up, even when the odds are stalked against him. Slightly greedy.

Occupation: Mercenary, though most people think he's a joke until he knocks their teeth out.

Gear: Thick leather armor, with steel pauldrons, bracers, shin guards, and viking-style helmet. Also the average sized sledgehammer, enchanted to be able to withstand some of strongest of impacts.

History: Sledge was born and raised in The Gryphon Kingdom until he was 14, constantly bullied by other kids for being so small and weak, but his family finally moved when he finally snapped and broke the wing of one of the other children for insulting his parents. He found himself in Canterlot, and stayed there until age of 32, with a constant want to get strong, and he did, becoming a guard for a few years, training harder than everyone else with a burning passion, but after that, he left without a backward glance, feeling he had done all he could to get strong in the guard, and needed to move on to other ways to get stronger.

Personality: Short tempered, loud, friendly, and kind to those who show the same.

Current Home: N/A, he's a wanderer.

Misc: Loves to drink.
