Name: Princess Lilac Love, aka Lyla

Alignment: Good

Mane: turquoise with random black streaks that shift as she moves. And long. 7-8 feet.

Coat: lavender

Cutie mark: a piece of lilac holding up and reflected in a heart shaped mirror.

Distinguishing features: her mane and tail.

Specialty: she's very good at reading body language and hearing the undertones of other ponies. She as a spell, which she got her cutie mark for, that allows her to read the feelings of any other pony as if she were feeling them herself. She can also extract the feelings and give them to another pony if she sees fit, making it able to get across points and feelings that can't be expressed with words. The drawback is she can only extract the feelings the pony she cast the spell on was feeling at the time she cast the spell.

Weaknesses: her biggest one is she can't fly. She's also very naive. Both due to a mysterious illness she was born with. Because of said illness, she was too weak to learn to fly when she should have, and now that she's better, her wings are too weak to carry her and she has no control over them. Her parents kept her in the castle most of her life, causing her naivety.

Occupation: Preparing to be the next ruling princess of the Crystal Empire.

History: Sick for the first ten years of her life, was born a pegasus, but can't fly, and is very good with magic. She was born a pegasus, and since she was sick most of her life, she got her cutie mark very late. She got it when she found that she could tell about ponies better than average, really know them. Her horn came along with her cutie mark, brining her talent spell.

Personality: she's very kind and polite and will try anything once. She's very stubborn and easily excitable, but never really gets angry. And though she's a princess, she's quite a klutz.

I said in chat that this cannot be accepted; I apologize for that because it's not fair and ignores any possible merits of your character, as well a ignoring the possibility that the other pieces can make this one work.

I won't ask you to change this for any reason, but simply wish to ask about it. Wouldn't a 7 to 8-foot long mane drag in on the ground quite severely?

This here is the central issue. You're making a character who's destined to take a canon throne and without even reading your history, I know this requires some sort of very close relationship with canon characters. Generally speaking, this cannot happen because it creates a headcanon that is automatically imposed on anyone you RP with, because acknowledging your character forces everyone else to acknowledge your world as the only correct one. This is not fair to other people, and is the biggest reason I don't permit relationship to or with canon characters.

The previous thing was a red-flag issue that's objective; this is a red-flag issue that's personal. You've failed to tell me or anyone else who reads this sheet ANYTHING about your character. Worse than that, you made your character the heir to Princess Mi Amore Cadenza's throne but have given no explanation and not even attempted to justify it. But this is a big opportunity for you because the history is where you turn your character from unacceptable to workable. If your history is good, if you build a story that can be accepted and makes sense and fully justifies her powers and her place, I can approve this character. Phenomenal cosmic power is a no-no... unless you can prove that it works and won't be abused. Show me what you can do, Lyla: write a history that proves that your character is the rightful heir to the Crystal Throne. I wish you the best of luck.

History: Neon grew up in what is and was a mental facility in Cloudsdale. Her parents had when she was young found out she lacked the needed skills to be a part of Pegasus society. Not seeing a point in cruelly abandoning her, they decided to lock up their shame rather than try to help. As a result her only friends were a glow-stick and a delusional griffon who had been put there on account of their mental instability from war. She spent her days with Sabith, the griffon, playing chess and checkers, or having tea parties where they drank neon (actually was herbal tea) her and her glow-stick as she recited facts about neon constantly, like it was a art work waiting for it to be tamed. At age 10 Sabith decided to take her and "save" her from the "enemies" during one of his episodes. She climbed on his back and he broke them free from the hospital. Taking her to the only safe place his deluded mind could remember as safe, the old science expiramentation facility right across Griff-Equas borders.
  There she was left by Sabith for three weeks as he strayed the "enemies", learning from old griffon scientists who believed that each element had a purpose to help fuel life. Here she learned that Neon had more than one meaning and she discovered that the subject of her obsession was believed to be what created neurological processing the name a Accronym for what it trully was, Never, Ending. Order of. Neurons. They told her that she was one of few that trully understood it's mortal shape and could feel it's god-like form, this was fueled from a life-time of paranoia over science and craziness from old age. But it was all it took for Neon to be completely taken into the element she loved forever. She was found after Sabith was shaken from his episode, on a small farm in ponyville, he never approached her while unsupervised after that time.
  At age 18, after being released from the facility by a unknown source, she went and started to work at a local neon paint company where she spent her time making fake glow-sticks. After a while she quit and started a real, honest to goodness, neon glowstick company it quickly climbed to the top of Neon manufacturers. Since then every six months a anonymous business takes half profits for that month.
Personality: Shy, once she gets to know you she comes out of this world strange. Being a bit slow outside of the topic of Neon considering her lack of proper education. Being tested early in life she was found out to be a level beyond social reception, she never was taught nor needed to be taught how to tell what she felt. The three things she did need were sad, pained, and calm. Impassive to others almost always.
Current Home: The upstairs of her shop.
Misc: Despite having to bring Neon into almost any social situation, she is shy due to her size being that of a mid aged teen. (Stack half of Scootaloo (sideways) onto of a Crouching Sweetie belle and you have her.)

They have a defensive format that will activate if she feels threatened. Other than that most always she carries a enchanted journal that has endless amounts of bookmarks, it holds three thousand pages worth of notes on simply weather, as well as the weather schedules from 3 years back to current day.
History: At birth, her parents found out that she too weak to live in Pegasi Society so they ended up arguing a lot with what to do with her. Her father couldn't deal with just abandoning her and neither could her mother, unable however to move away from work and unable to just leave her in another's arms. After a small family trip for dinner in Ponyville they discovered a small earth pony farmer that lived far out from town. Deciding it was better for her to live somewhere her body could grow stronger like the ground first, they made up there mind. In one month during the next big rain storm they would leave her with this mare.
  At four months she was left in the care of a orange earth pony mare. She while in a odd position she was raised as the farmer's own. Having a proper up bringing and growing up like the other fillies and colts her age until she had had both front legs and her left wing snapped like twigs when one of the few colts tripped and bashed into her from the front. Her "Mom" found out that day her daughter had brittle bones and was as of that point excluded permanently from playing any sports or game that required full body weight pressure to be applied onto her. That day was one of many traumatic experiences as the doctors had to snap her other wing and he had taken away all the fun games. All she had left were books, and her Mom. She ended up being removed from school and being home schooled, after doctors had told her mother of her abnormal memorization skills, while she helped her Mom work the fields since carrots were quite easy to pick and nothing was too over exerting. Over time she lost her connection to other ponies as her social circle shrunk to one.
  At age fifteen she had taken a test certifying her a graduate of the board of education in Equastria, and went off to help research ways to help other ponies with the same problems as herself. For the next three years she was tested on for ways to be able to hold more laboring and dangerous loads, she stopped growing about a third from normal height in this time frame and ended up gaining her cutie mark as well after organizing the notes that had been scrambled one afternoon, having memorized each page. After that day she helped construct the light-weight metal semi-splints that allow her to fly as of present times.
Personality: Shy, honest, and above all serious. Being a bit slow in social situation considering her lack of proper exposure to others, seldom does she click with other pony's emotions in a short period. Being born with a abnormally high level of memorization skills, she never was taught nor needed to be taught something after she read it.
Current Home: A small cloud home not far from Ponyville or Cloudsdale.
Misc: She has consistent breakdowns that developed around the age of 15 when she only grew to about a third shorter than other mares had at her age and stopped growing, when next to anypony tall she reverts into a ball and starts to bite herself as a soothing mechanism. (NSFW) When drunk she remains mentally capable for thinking, talking, and listening correctly, however she is incapable of actually walking straight while drunk. Her hangovers are also a bit different as well, instead of headaches she will simply not remember anything after she started getting buzzed.

Specialty: He specialises heavily in the use of illusion magic, having the ability to create vast and expansive illusions that appeal to all five senses and seem very real.

Weaknesses: As realistic as his illusions might be, they are incapable of directly inflicting any physical wounds; for example, he might slash someone with an illusory sword and it would sting, but leave no physical marks or wounds on the victim. They are also limited by their range - with more complex illusions becoming progressively harder to cast and maintain at long distances - and sufficiently strong magic can also allow the user to either see through or outright dispel his illusions.

Occupation: Special-effects pony/Scriptwriter

Gear: Though he needs no aid for his magic, he usually wears a fiery-red magically-conducive ruby around his neck in a chain, to boost the strength and realism of his illusions.

History: Ever since he was but a foal, Vision had a great interest in creative writing. Often, he would close himself in his room and churn out page after page of prose. Early on, they were cringeworthy; but as time wore on, he improved, bit by bit, until he was securing prizes left and right in all the local writing competitions in Vanhoover. But try as he might, no matter how well he did, he never got a cutie mark for it.

One day, at the age of fifteen, having once again isolated himself in his room to write, he entered a particularly exciting action scene. Slowly, he began to get more and more absorbed in writing it, until such a point in time when he realised he needed to eat and looked up from his script.

He got a frightful shock.

Raging around him, at that very moment, was the scene he had been writing. He stumbled back, alarmed, and all of a sudden the world fractured. A few seconds later, he found himself back in his room, the scene having all but disappeared from reality.

He breathed heavily and let the glow from his horn dissipate. After a moment, it clicked that his horn had been glowing.

That was the day he earned his cutie mark. And with time, as he practised with his newfound skill, he found himself improving tremendously. A few years of such practice gave him the overwhelming ability to make his illusions almost as real as reality itself. It was a great shock to everyone in Vanhoover when, one day, Vision's practice drove him to make it rain illusory snow across an entire block of houses.

That was the clincher. A local theatrical company hired him to be their special effects pony and scriptwriter, and they were so successful that the entire show moved to Canterlot, and now they perform in the Canterlot Opera House on a regular basis.

At present, Vision's skill with illusions is immensely powerful, although he is comfortable restricting the range of his spells to the available space in the Opera House since a smaller area of effect means easier and stronger illusions.

Personality: Though he is usually shy and reserved, when he starts shaping the world around him with his illusions he is far more open as he loses himself in 'his world'. He has a need to feel in control of any given situation. He also has a natural flair for the dramatic, and frequently slips into his 'storyteller mode', especially when operating his illusions.

History: When she was a filly she saved her family and her home due to the oven catching on fire she held the fire back till her parents could put out the fire she got her Cutie mark while doing it ever since then she has always been obsessed with fire and explosions. she then chose to be a Pyro Technician ever since and did the fireworks for the royal wedding and many other events in Equestria though has been arrested for going overboard with fire but she regrets the damage she has done and is still making it up to the families that were the victims of mares obsession.

Personality: She is care free and a bit of a tease energetic and fun.

Current Home: she doesn't have one she lounges about a small area of Cloudsdale Canterlot and Ponyville.

Distinguishing Features: Her wings are two different colours,
shes got a bionic left front hoof, and her right eye is covered with an eye patch, with an easily visible scar protruding from beneath.

Specialty(eg. special spells, unique powers etc): While young, Lightning wished to be like her parents and so she devoted a lot of time to developing a few skills possessed by each of them. Like her father she can use magic, but not of the same level, she can form a ball of energy that she can shoot, though Lightning's are channeled through some augmentations on her hooves and are more unstable and often explode, the balls properties a volatile and magnetic. along side this she often helped her father with his machines and even her first bionic hoof.This gives her an edge with mechanics and such due to the need for a new one every month as she wears through them quickly. She also inherited her birth mother's vampirism, allowing her to take on a vampiric aspect. While in this form, Lightning has enhanced hearing, and night vision as well as a weak version of mind manipulation, though this is more of just a mental suggestion than any real control. She must also deal with the blood craving, but it's usually not that bad unless she sees blood. Following in her adoptive mother's hoofsteps, Lightning also has a close connection with nature and a talent for gardening and caring for the ill and injured, be it pony or critter.

Weaknesses: Since her incident as a filly she has been very susceptible to lightning and simple electricity, also, due to that very incident she has night terrors and has been known to have fairly bad panic and anxiety attacks. Lightning's also blind in one eye and her bionic limb does limit her abilities to some extent. The explosions from the magic orbs are a constant hazard and when she is in her vamp-pony form, her enhanced senses are also extra sensitive. also when using her temporal space time destabilizer, if she was to rush the programs and the programing it could atomise her.

Occupation: She develops automated prosthetic limbs for those who needs them, often for free, but sometimes for a small fee, she can on occasion though adventure into the realms of full blown engineering.

Gear: her bionic hoof, an eye patch that is kitted out with sensors that relay to a chip in her eye socket and her fathers digital probe which uses sonic disruption to manipulate the particles in the object, this more often than not is used to open electric locks or be used as a screwdriver. her bionic hoof can be home to numerous odd items, her temporal space time destabilizer and a picture of her birth mother.

History: she was born in the old luna republic, but brought up in trottingham. whilst there she toyed with the power of lightning and magnetism which lead to a disaster, while fitting a pilone it was struck by lightning. the charge coursed down her hoof but met with her internal magic, the collision blew her left forehoof to pieces, the remnants of the unstable magic got to her eye and blinded her right eye. When she was 6 her mother died after struggling with the disease 'venenum animae' and her father vanished. she was moved to cloudsdale orphanage where she used what she learnt from her dad to build a bionic hoof.
After being bullied and ridiculed at the orphanage she dived off the edge whilst above ponyville, with her moderate flying ability she glided to the ground but got trapped by the crowds of the market and got scared, whilst backing off, a single kind loving mare helped her out of the crowd and took her home. lightning told her all about what happened, the mare took her to the orphanage, but at the last second as a surprise she adopted the odd filly. at the age of 8 she finished her ai controlled small work bots that she advanced for the next 10 years. in the same year her father turned up and after being asked by lightnings adoptive mother he moved in with them. throughout the next 8 years she did many many things. building a giant robot that was only meant to be scary and watch as ponies pass to stop her bullies but a malfunction sent it on a path of destruction for instance.

Personality: neutral good, shes very tidy but can act sporadically.

Current Home: she ventures all over, but still technically lives at home with her mother and father

Misc:thanks to her temporal space time destabilizer she can appear in nigh on any time period as a means to put her up for rps in different times. she would never use it to change the past or cross her on timeline. she is more than aware of the responsibilities of time travel.

Mane: Blonde with one red streak and one black streak. Very long.

Coat: Snow white with reddish-black stripes, very faint.

Cutiemark: A crown with A Spade, Diamond, Heart, and Club, the four card sets, in gem form, onyx or ruby, depending on the set.

Distinguishing Features: Her faint stipes and how she is MPD. Her eyes also change depending on which personality is at the surface. Red or black iris, and the reversed color for pupils, and her pupils vaguely resemble the different shape of the card set symbols, but stay close to the normal circular shape.

Specialty: Dealing cards at a Las Pegas Casino, watching the movements of others to prevent cheating. She also has some skill in fighting.

Weaknesses: Low magical ability, only capable of simple levitation or teleportation, the latter tiring her quickly.

Occupation: Card Dealer

Gear: Heart has a pocket knife, Club has a baseball bat, Spade has a double barrel shotgun, and Diamond has a revolver. She always wears a red-and-black checkered bowtie.

History: Queen was born and raised in Las Pegasus, but her family fell on hard times and she learned from watching her father to prevent cheating at poker games, helping with her father's games, and keeping him from losing unfairly. Originally an averagely kind mare, the first of her four personalities split off from the rest around age 11, when she found a stray dog being attacked by another dog, and saved it. The second appeared around thirteen, during an average game, when half of the players were cheating. The third appeared at age seventeen, when a couple drunk stallions tried to rape Queen, and handed their asses to them, almost literally. The fourth appeared when someone bet Queen two hundred bit she couldn't go a four days without sleeping. As she got older she got a job at the smallest casino around and worked her way up to the biggest and best around. However, she has retained a soft spot for the down-trodden.

Personalities:

Heart is what the first was normally called. Kind and forgiving, selfless and caring. She has gotten the nickname of 'Beauty Queen', because she always likes to style her mane.

Diamond is the second. Greedy, unpredictable, and very mysterious, no one ever capable of seeing an emotion she does not wish them to see. And has most of her self control.

Club was the third to appear. Club is, by far, the most violent, and slightly sadistic. Club embodies all of her violent tendencies and thoughts, there to fight any who threaten Queen.

Spade was the fourth and final of Queen's personalities to appear. Reclusive, but has most of her determination. Never backs down from a challenge. Never seems to lose, and is always there when Queen needs some luck.

Weaknesses:Can lose control of lightning if is careless while controlling it, split personality that does not differ terribly from the other, but the condition gives him migraines and can cause confusion to other ponies. He essentially has two different minds in his head, while they are not terribly different in their personality, the situation is still very volatile considering he should only have one mind and that it was caused by a failed spell. He isn't just schizophrenic, he literally has two ponies in his head, the spell tore his mind in half; his actually self and how he wishes he could be. If one were to overpower the other, both could die because they share a brain, so the damage caused by destroying one mind could kill the brain.

History:Rain Flare was originally Rain Blade of Princess Luna's royal guard. His parents were pretty average, his mother was a unicorn named Harmony Dancer, she owned a small bakeshop in Canterlot. His father was a Thestral guard for Princess Luna by the name of Rain Crasher. His father frequented the bake shop because he had a bit of a sweet tooth and because he fancied Harmony. After some time Harmony asked Crasher out on a date, realizing he was too shy to do so himself. Eventually they got married and had Rain Blade, named after his father. Rain Blade was born a Thestral and wanted to follow in his father;s hoof steps and be a Lunar Guard. He went to Cloudsdale for flight school and took the Guard exam immediately after graduating. He failed the first time but passed with flying colors when he took it the second time six months later. After some time in the guard he rose through the ranks and was put on Princess Luna's personal guard. After the changeling attack he was reassigned to the border of the changeling forest. During a patrol e was kidnapped and experimented on by the changeling queen, the experiments resulted in his split personality and multiple delusions, including courting Princess Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Princess Luna. Upon being rescued he was admitted to a therapist and had been adjusting to living with two minds in one body, threatened by death constantly should he lose control.

Personality: Rain Flare is chivalrous, compassionate, and loyal to his friends and oaths. Rain Blade shares his loyalty but is not as chivalrous as his counterpart, having been in several relationships which he blames himself for failing. He also suffers from bouts of depression and rage.

Personality: Heart and Diamond are both kind, and polite, but Heart is mostly selfless while Diamond can be greedy. Club and Spade are polite, but the fighting personalities of Queen's mind while the former can be more kind while the latter is sometimes cruel.

Two things:
1. For a character of this type, I require much deeper and more detailed history than normal as well as details about the personalities beyond basic traits. Did she always have this personalities? Did she develop them? When did she develop them? Did they emerge at the same time? Do they represent different things? Do they vary in voice as well as eye color?
2. Your replication of the character "gimmick" that the player of Wild Card used for his character is far too blatant to be coincidental. I have no personal issue with you doing this but you need to keep in mind that when you choose to imitate an extremely detailed character who is rightly used as the standard against which MPD characters are judged, you choose to undergo greater scrutiny of your work because you're inviting me to measure you against Wild Card directly. Also, if the player of Wild Card voices any issue with you duplicating his concept in this way, his wishes take precedent because he's the owner of the idea.

I'm sorry to be blunt, I apologize very sincerely if I'm coming across as a jerk or mean, but this is just how things are when you build an MPD character that uses cards and eye color change to represent the different personalities as well as associating the character with card games.

Specialty: Quimia is an expert in the art of brewing potions; though her abilities in this field are widespread, her specialties are the concoction of healing and magic-boosting potions, along with a peculiar incendiary mix.

Weaknesses: She is most used to her potions and the little bit of zebra magic she has; as such, tasks which require a great amount of physical strength are usually beyond her abilities. She also does not have much experience with non-magical fighting, meaning that if she is forced into a swordfight she would most probably lose.

Occupation: High Alchemist of the Canterlot Royal Guard

Gear: Since she is nominally a part of the Royal Guard, she owns the standard-issue gold armour, shortsword and spear, but the most she usually carries around with her is the sword, in order to stay nimble and light on her hooves, as well as to allow for ease of motion. She commonly wears a brown cloak infused with the essence of speed-boosting elixirs, allowing her a slight but noticeable increase in speed.

History: Quimia was born in her native land, away from Equestrian borders. It was there where she developed her zebra magic, but all through her youth she was far worse at it than her peers.

She soon discovered her worth, however, in the art of potion brewing. Though her magic was meagre, she found an efficient way to transfuse it into various concoctions and elixirs, bringing the true scope of her abilities into full view. For a few years she stayed in her village, teaching others how to create and use potions in the most efficient manner.

One day, when she was out exploring for ingredients, she stumbled across a small town at the Equestrian border. The inhabitants of the town were suffering from attacks from wild timberwolves in a nearby forest. At first, when Quimia approached, they hid from her in fear, but when the aforementioned timberwolves attacked her the townsfolk were astonished to see Quimia's potions at work. She made short work of half the wolves with her powerful incendiary potion, and a few more acid potions sent the rest fleeing for the safety of their forest, never to return.

The townsfolk welcomed her after that. She wanted to teach them basic potion-making skills, so that they could defend themselves in a future attack, but to her surprise learned that ponies did not have the same type of magic that zebras did, and thus her style of brewing was useless to them. She left a few incendiary potions with them, and asked them to tell her about Equestria.

In the days that followed, she became increasingly aware that Equestria was devoid of the power she knew to be commonplace among her people. Deciding that, now, the ponies needed her skills more than her village did, she ventured to the Equestrian capital with a few of the townsfolk she had helped to seek an audience with Princess Celestia.

The Princess received her warmly, and after hearing of her exploits assigned her the post of alchemist in the Canterlot Royal Guard, where she would be responsible for supplying not only the Guard but all the towns under Equestrian protection with her potions.

Since then, Quimia has been highly successful in Equestria, so much so that she was promoted to the post of High Alchemist - a position that did not even exist before her entry to the Guard. Her most common exports are magic-infused medical supplies like bandages and antiseptics, which are especially crucial in places without unicorns well-versed in healing magic. Her incendiary potions, despite never actually having been used in military action, are held in bulk in many cities as a deterrent against aggression.

Personality: Quimia is not very sociable, being one of the only zebras in Equestria, and though she holds an important position she still suspects that some fear her for what she is. To her friends, however, she is helpful and kind as can be. She has a sense of duty to life itself, considering it her mission to help where she can with what she can do. In general, she tends to be enigmatic in her conversations, especially with strangers.

However, he is distinguished in two primary areas. The first is a set of twelve runed throwing knives, which as well as being incredibly sharp, return to his ever-ready grip. The second is his magic, the ability to temporarily re-animate the corpses of the slain. These undead will fight for him, until they can fight no more.

Furthermore, as a vampire, Arcane has all of their strengths, including inhuman strength, speed, resilience, and accuracy.

Weaknesses: Arcane is a vampire, and as such he can only operate at night. He is also weak to fire, silver and true faith. Though he is naturally resistant to magic, he has no other such resistances beyond that, nor is resistant to physical attacks beyond his own vampiric abilities. Furthermore, the corpses that he reanimates can only be reanimated under specific conditions. 1. That they are under a day old. 2. They must not have been possessed of true faith. 3. He can only reanimate them for a period of 12 hours, or until they come in contact with sunlight. 4. He cannot reanimate a corpse more than once. 5. They must have been of pony, griffon or Minotaur origin. He cannot reanimate any other creature bar these. 6. He can control a maximum of corpses equal to a quarter of his life. (Rounding up)

The corpses themselves are only slightly more resilient than a normal creature, are weak to fire and sunlight, and have no defence against magic.

Occupation: Arcane is a mercenary, and works for the highest bidder.

Gear: As stated earlier, Arcane wears a trench coat, and wields a set of twelve rune-enchanted throwing knives. He also occasionally wields a short-sword.

History: Arcane was born to a prostitute, and never knew his father. However, he made the best of his life, working as a con artist on the streets of Vanhoover, and making a decent profit. However, when he turned nineteen, he left the somewhat protective clutch of his mother, and began to search for a job.

It ended poorly.

More specifically, in a back alley with a knife in his throat. However, as he lay dying, a shadow appeared, a pair of white fangs glowing in the darkness. Two words echoed out of the shadow's mouth. "Virgin? Live?" Arcane nodded as best he could, and the soothing glow encompassed him.

When he awoke, he found himself stronger, faster, better. And burning. Scrambling into the shadows, he found a note scrawled describing his new body, and it's strengths and weaknesses.

Disgusted by the world in general, Arcane turned to the life of a vigilante. Striking terror into the hearts of the criminals of Vanhoover, Arcane was content with his new position. However, it did not last, as his mother was murdered by a fat, rich noble.

His life now empty, drained by the death of his mother, Arcane saw the truth of this world, and began to sell his services as a mercenary, any concern of justice or righteousness gone. His cynical nature and lust for coin sees him take the highest bidder.

Personality: Arcane is a cynical, rude, obnoxious git who works for coin alone. He treats his employers as scum and everyone else as dirt.

Current Home: Arcane lives under whichever tree is the closest, and offers the best protection from the sun.

Personality: Callous and snarky when you first meet him, but if he grows to like you, he'll open up a bit. He is prideful, and prone to anger if he feels insulted or if someone he cares for is threatened.

History: After his parents mysteriously vanished, Check was fostered by a travelling group of monks. He learned their ways, the most prominent of which was the power of Aura. Aura, or life force, was all around him. The monks taught him how to see auras, and how to manipulate his own, using it to augment his speed, strength, and durability. It manifests in a light red glow around his hooves or body. This power costs him though. Using it for too long, or with too much force, can drain his body of all its energy, killing him. He trained to minimized this, but the threat is still there. He was also taught in hoof-to-hoof combat, as well as how to wield a blade. After learning all he could from his masters, he set out on his own, wanting to make a name for himself.
Personality: As a pony, he is kind, tempered, and all around good hearted. As a sensei, he has learned to be cold, only giving subtle praise when it is deserved. His students only get his true respect when they have become somewhere close to his equal.

He also often carries a blade known simply as Hope, which is entirely normal except for its strange affinity for him, and its ability to kill him.
History: One was born 12 thousand years ago, of one of the early families of the ponies. During a trip in the forest he was attacked by a wolf, and he was on the verge of death. However, the magic within the race of ponies’ blood was far stronger than it is now. When the wolf attacked, the magic in his blood was potent enough that when he passed over, it dragged his soul back into his dead body. Such a revival was painful to say the least. And it wasn't perfect by any means. His body had died when his soul returned, so he remained dead. When he awoke from his rebirth, he was thirsty, so very thirsty. He found a river, but even after drinking several litres, he still thirsted. Returning to his home, he smashed open the door with no effort. His first daughter, twelve years old, died almost instantly, and she died screaming. Still thirsty, he set upon his second daughter, killing her in her sleep, her face peaceful. His wife, not recognising him covered in blood and fire in his eyes attacked him. He killed her, his jaws around her throat, and finally his thirst was slaked. Seeing them die by his hoof, One fled, never looking back. Over the next few millennia, he travelled far and wide, saving lives in an attempt to redeem himself. However, the only pony to ever catch his eye was a mare named Frozen Tempest. Long story short, he fell in love, didn’t quite marry her, and since she didn’t want to become what he was, lived with her the rest of her natural life. Their only child however, Isabelle Tempest, joined him as a vampire. Time continued to pass, and eventually he fell in love with Princess Luna. As another immortal, he realised she
could be his redemption. However, he was corrupted to believe love was evil, and got a warlock to seal his ‘good’ side away, leaving him a husk of a stallion. He now believes his daughter is a physical incarnation of fate, and that he can see the paths of fate.
Personality: Whilst one was once a balanced, carefree stallion, he is now gaunt and constantly suffering from a series of switching outlooks on life. He is incredibly hard to predict and randomly throws tantrums or starts fights.

At the age of 22, he decided he is going to start traveling around the world, where he could hopefully make new friends and find a lovemate. At age of 23, he found a temporary home in the Crystal Empire. He is still getting money from his rich family as he explores the world on his own.

Personality: Cheerful, happy, doesn't get angry that easily. Likes making new friends.

Specialty: His psychic powers are his greatest specialty. Although he is blind by birth, his senses allow him to perceive his surroundings to a greater degree of comprehension than standard vision could ever allow. He also has the telepathic ability to communicate over long distances with his mind, and the ability to read the minds of others.

Additionally, he also has the ability to do two special things:

Mind Link: He has the ability to Link his mind with a fully consenting individual, bypassing their mental security and connecting their consciousnesses into a Nexus which connects all their thoughts and allows them to share sensory information. Depending on the closeness of the Link this could be as simple as a telepathic telephone to a complete mind-meld into a single being across multiple bodies. Being Linked allows Insight to communicate with his Linkee(s) over much further distances than before.

Insight can include several individuals in a Nexus at once, and while the intimacy of a Link can vary depending on the wishes of the involved parties, a Linked individual will stay Linked so long as both they and Insight consent.

Telepathic Blast: His main form of offense. He delivers a blow to the mind of his enemy, which depending on the circumstances could have a wide range of effects, from a mild headache to complete unconsciousness. It varies in strength based on the mental fortitude, physical closeness, and mental fatigue of the target. Mages that have cast many spells, melee-range targets, and mentally weaker opponents are all preferable targets for this Blast. The Telepathic Blast can be conducted from either his own body or the body of a Linked individual, in which case the physical distance is considered from the body of the individual instead. This spell is usually unlikely to kill so much as incapacitate.

Weaknesses: Though his magic allows him perception of his immediate surroundings, he is unable to see great distances as his "sight" is limited by range. His maximum capacity reaches about a hundred metres away from him.

As for his mind-reading, it is not infallible; if somepony tries to hide their thoughts from him, it would require more and more energy and concentration to determine their inner thoughts, the mightier they are in mental strength - usually determined through intelligence and lack of mental fatigue - up to a point where it is virtually impossible, which is why he usually contents himself to plucking surface thoughts.

His telepathic blast suffers from similar constraints, just like the difference one would expect from punching a couch potato compared to punching a bodybuilder.

Finally, as he is naturally unable to see, if he is cut off from his magic he will be completely and truly blind.

Occupation: Telepath, in service to Princess Luna

Gear: He is not inclined towards combat, and as such he is not naturally armed. He is usually clothed in a long, flowing purple and gold robe with a sapphire clasp in the shape of his cutie mark.

History: Insight was born in Canterlot, completely blind. This caused great alarm to his parents, who brought him to as many hospitals as they could, but ultimately all in vain - Insight's problem lay not in any conventional ailment. There was some power was deliberately keeping him from seeing.

He discovered this power when he was sent to a special school for the disabled and first learnt about magic. After class, he came home and tried to exercise his magic reach for the first time, and nearly fell over in astonishment when he realised that he could see. His room manifested itself in stark clarity for the first time, and although he could not truly see he could see.

His parents sent him to the hospital one last time, where the doctor's verdict was final; his ability for magical perception was what blinded him, as it siphoned off the energy that would normally go to his eyes and channeled it to his horn.

From then on, Insight was no longer chained by his disability like he had been in the past. He switched to a normal school and worked his way into Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, where his talent was recognised by Princess Luna. After his graduation, Insight was invited to the Palace to study advanced magic under Luna herself.

Luna attempted to teach him how to dream-walk - the ability to look into the dreams of others. Insight tried to learn, but ultimately ended up in possession of a variant of the spell instead; the ability to look into others' thoughts. A few more years of trying to learn to dream-walk yielded another useful ability: The skill to communicate telepathically, over large distances. He tried for much longer, but ultimately failed to glean anything else from Luna's unique style of lunar magic.

Ever since then, Insight has stayed in the palace, occasionally providing his services for Royalty-associated parties and the military. He has maintained close contact with Luna and nominally works as her telepath, though he rarely does any duty associated with his position since Luna is fully capable of much of it herself.

Personality: He is naturally soft-spoken, saying nothing unless he deems it necessary. He is also reserved, preferring to keep to himself and those he trusts instinctively. By nature, he is trusting, but with good reason; he often plucks the surface thoughts of anypony he meets to see if they mean him harm.
