Distinguishing Features: His cyan eyes are distinctive by their slit-like irises, littered with starry pinpricks of light. He also has the bat wings which are similar to that of Princess' Luna's personal guard.

Specialty: Reminiscent of Nightmare Moon, he has the ability to dissolve into an intangible, invulnerable night-blue mist for limited periods of time. He also excels in the use of electrical magic, which often manifests itself in the form of lightning, if used offensively.

Weaknesses: He can only stay intangible for a limited time, and while in the form of the mist he is unable to use his magic. And his electrical magic, if used too often or too much, can injure himself and those around him.

Occupation: Elite Lunar Royal Guard

Gear: The characteristic blue body armour and helmet of the Lunar division of the Royal Guard, along with the standard short sword and spear.

History: Once upon a time, there was a normal pony living a normal life in Ponyville. There was nothing remarkable about him at all. His existence was one of routine and normalcy.

That is, until the thousandth Summer Sun Celebration.

After Nightmare Moon came to Ponyville and the potential Elements of Harmony ran off into the Everfree Forest to procure the only artifacts capable of stopping her, she chose three pegasi at random from the populace and cursed them with corrupting chains that bound them to her in servitude, warping their physical appearance permanently and altering even their cutie marks. She bequeathed some measure of her power unto them and sent them into the Forest to fulfill the task which would ultimately turn out to be Rainbow Dash's test of loyalty. They were the Shadowbolts.

After Nightmare Moon's defeat, however, the chains were broken. Two of the three did not survive the ordeal the shattering of their bonds wrought. The last, the pegasus who would eventually become known as Eclipse, was freed from her corrupting influence, but not the abilities or physical modification he had received. Furthermore, he was stripped of a large portion of his memories, retaining only a few slivers of the past. He wandered around in the Everfree Forest, dazed, until he was found by Royal Guards operating as clean-up crews in the wake of Nightmare Moon's destruction.

The Guards brought him to the newly-reinstated Princess Luna, who, in an act of pity and penitence, took care of him and nursed him back to health in the palace, whereupon she chose him to be an elite member of the new Lunar branch of the Royal Guard, known as the Nightwatch, and gave him the name Eclipse.

From then on, Eclipse followed the Nightwatch to wherever they were assigned, performing missions across Equestria, ranging from escort duties to scouting and territorial protection.

Personality: Owing greatly to his strange appearance, he is eternally afraid of being judged by those around him. This has led to a desire to blend in socially as much as possible to offset his natural uniqueness. He makes an earnest attempt to adapt to what his amnesia-ridden mind perceives as queer social norms, sometimes without much success. For the few he brings into his confidence, however, he is a great, kind friend. He is also witty and sharp, both of which manifest themselves in a frankly brilliant but awkward ability to make puns.

Name: Harun Hurria

Race: Saddle Arabian

Age: 28

Mane: black

Coat: Tan brown

Distinguishing Features: His height compared to a normal pony. He is naturally taller and better built

Specialty: His large frame allows him to carry relatively large amounts of weight in higher quantities and with greater comfort than an average. A proficiency in operating his main weapon, as well as weapons with curved blades. With a good swing of a scimitar he would be able to cut deep into bone.  

Weaknesses: Prone to doing things only efficaciously, instead of to the best of his abilities.

Occupation: Currently inactive but technically in service to the Equestrian throne

Gear:Abus Gun, which his large frame allows him to carry on his back in addition to a metre long smoothbore musket and a scimitar for a full combat load, though often the sword is sufficient. To keep all the necessities needed to  fire his weapons, he wears a royal blue embroidered jacket with several pockets.

History: Born into a rather unimpressive family of well known name, schooling was not much of a priority to him or his parents throughout his youth as he helped deal greatly with keeping the household running through various chorelike activities.  

When he got a job at the age of 17 as a clerk at a bookstore he was ready to make up for the the lack of texts in his life. His mentor was arrested by guards one day while he was at work for apparently distributing conspiring materials. The whole shopfront he worked had been a lie and he himself was arrested. Harun pleaded of his innocence and was spared sentencing on the condition of military service. His parents were glad to have their child spared from any cruel fate, but any chance Harun had of pursuing his own fate vanished. Within his first years he was trained into the stallion his is now physically, gaining more mass to become a more respected member of the ranks. He was chosen on whim out the freshly trained forces by a member of the ruling family for use in their personal guard, meaning he had to endure more training, this time at a prestigious military academy. It was during this time he obtained his knowledge on the operation of firearms. It was not a subject he had a favour for, but he was learning, so that was a motivation.

Harun during his time in service to this member of nobility never once had to fire any weapon in protection of his master or his home, and was thankful for it.

In a political meeting shortly after the most recent coronation in Equestria, it was decided a congratulatory gift and acknowledgement would a gesture that would be good to win some extra favour. As a gift to the new princess, Harun, as the epitome of what they wanted in a guard was sent to watch over her. This gift was unneeded, yet still politely received.  Harun was quite hurt at his rejection by the new princess until Celestia explained that such a guard was not needed where the princess resided. Since he is dutifully bound, and slightly excited, to serve Equestria he remains on stand by, occasionally filling gaps in different cities guards.

Personality: Perfect for his previous  position as a houseguard, he is mostly quiet and yet has no fear of speaking when it would be needed. Any problems he has, he likes to deal with himself, though he wouldn't hesitate to call for help if he couldn't do a task by himself. Has a pride in where he came from and will remind others at regular intervals, often adding to conversations what he would solve the problem at home. He possesses an unusually soft skin for a stallion of his profession but an extra hard demeanour to make up. At one point he was interested greatly in learning and open mindedness, though it is much more subdued in the present than it was in his youth.

Name: Falcone

Race: Earth pony

Age: late 20's

Alignment: Neutral

Mane: Light black. It is often very unkempt, looking like it's barely touched.

Coat: Beige

Cutie mark: A pair of brass knuckles  

Distinguishing Features: His muscular build.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He has impressive physical strength, as his build implies,  and equally impressive durability.

Weaknesses: He often doesn't think with his head, so whenever something requires smarts, or finesse, he won't be able to do it.

Occupation: He is a Caporegime of a mafia family, run by his actual family,  in Manehatten.

Gear: A grey suit, with matching overcoat and flat cap, given to him by his grandfather. He also has a pair of stainless steel brass knuckles

History: He was born in Manehatten, to a  powerful and respected family. He never really knew why his family was so powerful, but he never questioned it, as he liked having the respect, even at an early age. His family's standing, however, never stopped him from picking fights with other ponies to earn respect. After one particularly bad fight, at the age of 11, his family informed him of how they were in, and running, a mafia, headed by his grandfather. They informed him because they planned for him to be brought into the families operations. He, while surprised at the revelation, told his family that he'd be happy to help them, and officially be "made". Before he was made, however, he had to prove that he could be helpful; after all, If he wasn't a help to them, then he wouldn't have been made, whether if he was related by blood or not. So, for a few years, he spent his time stealing things for the family to sell for a profit. He did this until he was 17, which was when his family felt that he could be of use. So, he was brought into the family. He, however, would still receive no special treatment until he fully proved his loyalty. He later found out that his grandfather wasn't very trusting of anyone. So, for a while, he just did the dirty work for the family; strong arming stores, helping out the loan sharks, and making examples of ponies; something he had no qualms with. After a few years of doing this, he finally proved that he wouldn't be ratting out the family, and thus, he was made a Caporegime, and given a small part of the gang to command. He still, however, does  dirty work for the family, actually taking a liking to doing so; only this time, he also has a small crew made up of low level soldiers or associates.

Personality: He is very brash, arrogant, and largely unpredictable. He is fairly rude; especially to his friends, taking any chance he can to mock or insult them. He, however, is not mean; his rudeness is his own way of showing his affection. He is also very loyal to his friends, not being afraid to take a bullet for them. Finally, he has a violent side that shows whenever someone insults his family, friends, or pride.

Name: Jonathan M. Kings, Ph.D.

Race: Figment, though he appears to be an Earth Pony.

Age: Mid-400s.

Alignment:  Neutral.

Mane: Kept long ans curled, dyed red.  Naturally brown.

Coat:  Brown with golden stripes dyed in.

Cutie mark: A piece of parchment, covered in notes.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add:

Distinguishing Features: Eyes are completely silver, sometimes wears contact lenses or sunglasses to disguise.  Unusually short, and appears androgynous.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc):  Jonathan's normal special talent is to be able to learn, and he retains skills well.  His Figment abilities are altering unseen geometries, total immunity to non-magic chemicals, a strong sense of smell, and ability to access a storage dimension.

Weaknesses:  He has a terrible memory for non-skills, is more strongly affected by magic and magic-based substances, and physically pretty small and weak.  He cannot alter anything that is being directly observed by anyone else.

Occupation:  Traveler, former researcher.

Gear:  Notebook, 'backpack of convenient items'.

History:  Jonathan had an ordinary bringing-up, although he was bullied often.  Most of the taunts were based around his small size and lack of masculinity, but sometimes around his name, which he has changed.  He discovered his special talent of learning during a forced apprenticeship as a chemist, after he picked it up unusually quickly.  It was also during this apprenticeship that he won a bet by drinking a bottle of toxins, and was surprised when he did not die.  He researched this immunity, and found that he had a complete immunity to non-magical chemicals.  Unfortunately, this included his own hormones, resulting in his stunted growth and inability to generate emotion.

After ascending into full Figmentism at age 34, Jonathan began to learn many different trades, studying medicine, music, alchemy, navicgation, improvisational theatre, and masonry.  He mastered all but masonry.  Eventually, at the age of 154, he was recruited to work in the Laboratory, a nexus of scientists with unusual circumstances.  He loved his new work, quickly befriending most of the employees.  He modified a scorpion to have a longer lifespan, with the side effect of allowing it to grow enormous.  He named the scorpion Darryl.

A couple centuries later, he realized he was something over 300 and had seen so little of the world, he handed the room down to his assistant, Crow Ethos.  He put the accumulated centuries of Laboratory pay into bits, now travels for sake of finding a bit of adventure.

Personality:  Unable to form his own emotions due to hormonal immunity, but he is able to empathize strongly with what others feel.  Since he relies on the attention of others, he constantly tries to appear memorable and generally upbeat.  He focuses on making others feel good, as that allows him to feel positively.

Current Home:  Anywhere where it's free or cheap.  Usually boxes.

Misc:  Figments are a race of imaginary creatures, and implant the idea of themselves in order to gain power off of being known.  As their only physical presence is a magical avatar, they can perform a few different types of magic despite the lack of a horn, as well as an inability to be killed be damage directed at the avatar.  However, the physical abilities of the avatar are limited to the abilities of the Figment at time of ascension.

Each Figment specializes in one form of Figment magic; Jon is best at altering geometries and accessing the storage dimension, so long as he is not seen doing so.  Once a Figment has turned fully into a Figment, their eyes appear metallic, but they can wear glasses of some sort to cover it up.  They are also given heigtened rception in one sense.  Five in existence.

Jon is gender fluid, and occasionally claims to be a mare named June.

Mane: Dark Purple with bright purple at the tip of her tail and bright purple streaks through her mane.

Coat: Light grey.

Cutiemark: A simple white cloud.

Distinguishing Features: The white flower above her left ear, and her grey and black scarf. Her easily-occupied personality.

Specialty: Sex and seduction. "Spreading the Love"

Weaknesses: Not the strongest, fairly average flyer.

Occupation: Prostitute, anything involving sex.

Gear: The flower in her mane and her scarf. Usually a knife hidden under her right wing.

History: Cloud was born in Ponyville and spent her time there as the one matchmaker filly, putting friends together and finding the best matches, seeing who liked who and who was best together. At sixteen her family moved to Canterlot where she currently thrives as the best in her occupation. She constantly is hired by nobles to show them a good time, mare or stallion, she doesn't care, even Blueblood has met her, and she enjoys what she does immensely.

Personality: Kind and extremely flirty, loves hugs and cuddles and cheering others up.

Current Home: Canterlot.

Name: Ruby Flame

Race: Unicorn

Distinguishing Features:

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Ruby is a fire mage, specialising in short range, flamethrower-like magical bursts. She can also manifest her powers in bursts of fire that engulf her body and the area around her. She is also almost entirely immune to fire attacks of any source.

Weaknesses: As a fire mage, Ruby is naturally weak towards ice and water magic. She is also only as resilient as a normal pony, she she cannot take excessive amounts of physical or magical damage. Ruby is extremely loyal, and though that is admirable, she will throw herself into situations that she can't handle, just to protect her friends.

Occupation: Though she had served as a lieutenant in the guard at one point, she is currently working as a bailiff in Fillydelphia.

Gear: Normally, Ruby wears an extremely tight bailiff's outfit, with a short skirt. When going to battle though she trades it for a set of ruby-coloured armour, forged to be extremely resilient to damage.

History: Ruby was raised in a loving household in Fillydelphia. Growing up to a baker and a candlestick maker, she grew used to heat, and began to love it, so much so that her magic manifested itself as small flames to begin with. As she matured her flames grew in strength and intensity. On her eighteenth birthday, she joined the guard, rising quickly through the ranks. She reached the rank of Lieutenant, and as a reward, her parents purchased a suit of ruby armour. However, her various attempts to court her fellow officers got her court-marshalled, and forced her to leave the guard.

However, Ruby refused to give in, and applied to become a bailiff in her home town. By this point, the armoured image of Divine Retribution had become an icon for justice and truth in the city, and a symbol of fear for criminals. Heavily intrigued by her, she was extremely happy when she was given the job to work under her. Determined to work her out, she chased Divine repeatedly, only to lose her each time.

Personality: Ruby is extremely flirtatious, happy to fall in and out love with multiple ponies. She has however developed a severe crush on Divine Retribution, one different to the love she feels for other ponies. She is cheerful, and bubbly, happily jumping from one thought to another.

Current Home: Ruby currently resides in an apartment near the courts in Fillydelphia.

Name: Ocean Arc

Race: Earth Pony.

Age: 26.

Alignment: Good.

Mane: A slicked back styled mane. Black with burgundy highlights. His tail is long and unkempt, striped in the same colors as his mane.

Coat: Light grey.

Cutie mark: A bronze telescope and a sextant on top of a generalized map of the world.

Distinguishing Features: The most noticeable thing about Arc is his prosthetic left arm, which is made from a thick aluminum mold. He also has a scar across the bridge of his muzzle.

Specialty: Arc is an excellent sailor and explorer. He has excellent survival skills and has a lot of experience in combat.

Weaknesses: His crippled arm slightly disrupts his movement in general and more actively in combat, though he has gotten used to it.

Occupation: Explorer.

Gear: Wheres light brown saddlebags filled to the brim with essential traveling equipment. A long, light brown coat fitted with a multitude of pockets ranging from small to large, some for specific use and others for general keeping. He carries a long sword in a sheath on his back that he wields with his mouth.

History: Arc was born and raised on the Archipelago of Polistraf, a grouping of oceanic islands many miles away from any large landmass. The islanders relied heavily on boats for everything, and as such developed as a boating community. Polistraf had very fertile soil thanks mostly in part by the volcano the islands had formed around. Because of this, Polistraf was famous for it’s food and it’s diverse wildlife. A trading concord was made with the closest landmass, Equestria, where Polistraf exported the food they grew on the islands. But Polistraf wasn't just know for this. The islanders were capable sailors, many taking to fishing and other to exploring. The amount of ships originating from Polistraf is astronomically high, and those ships are very well made.

Arc was part of a crew of explorers on a ship named The Lanafir. They weren't famous, but they have had a lot of thrilling adventures at sea. Most notably was a trip to a previously undiscovered island in the south where they had found ruins of a forgotten civilization. It was a huge discovery and the crew came back from the island rich with old trinkets and items. Arc was fond of the one trinket he had found own his own and decided to keep it away from the rest of the crew. Thinking they would sell it straight away like they did with all the other treasures they acquired. It was a small box made of a smooth black rock. It looked to contain something, but despite Arc’s effort to open the small box, it remained shut. Arc carried the box around wherever he went, keeping it in his bag and only taking it out to marvel at it’s simple design. Arc had always been attracted to strange items and kept quite a few in a stash hidden away from the rest of the crew. Holding the small box helped him think straight and stay calm in tough situations, it was an support for him to lean on should he ever feel lost.

Arc was very happy sailing with the crew on The Lanafir. He loved the open sea and loved the adventures the captain dragged him and the crew on. It was a lot of fun, but dangerous too. The territories that the crew explored were not always friendly. Most of the time the places they traveled to were host to vicious fauna that wanted nothing more than to eat the intruders. Because of this inhospitable work environment, Arc developed useful survival skills and grew accustomed to combat, developing skills with swords as a tool to defend and attack. He learned a lot from these encounters and even more so from the veteran crew members. Arc prepared for everything before a journey into the unknown, packing as many essentials as he could carry, but never enough to slow him down at a significant pace. But no matter how prepared he was, there was only so much you could do against a stronger opponent. In a life threatening confrontation with an enormous  tiger, Arc got caught in the mighty jaws of the ferocious tiger. He dangled in the air by his left arm, thrashing wildly to break free while the rest of the crew fought to repel the tiger. The crew somehow managed managed to fight off the tiger, rescuing Arc, but the damage had already been done and he lost his left arm.

Even though Arc was crippled, he didn't give up his adventurous spirit. A brilliant doctor was able to attach a prosthetic arm, made from a thick aluminum mold, in place of Arc’s missing limb. It took time to get used to and even after that, he was never as agile as his companions. The crew of The Lanafir was very supportive of Arc in his recovery, they were comrades who had been through so much together. But they weren't the only ones who kept Arc afloat when he felt lost. The small black box, which he always carried around, helped him in many ways as well. Just it’s presence calmed his unstable mind, it helped him think clearly when he was alone. Strange though it may be to gain that peace from an inanimate object, that is exactly how it helped Arc.

Arc still travels with the crew on The Lanafir. Adventure is still abundant and as dangerous as ever for Arc, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Personality: Arc is the adventuring type, courageous and foolhardy. He loves exploring new land and discovering beautiful scenery not many others get to experience. Arc may appear distant at times, but is generally outgoing and expressive, especially with his crew and friends.

Current Home: His home is on the ship he travels on, The Lanafir.

Misc: The small black box Arc carries as his treasure is actually an egg. An egg that will hatch, giving birth to a very strange and unique creature. A small lizard like creature with very powerful hind legs, like a rabbit or frog. It’s tail is long with very ridged scales. It’s face is long and rectangular with long horns extending horizontally from the ridge on it’s brow. It’s eyes are a solid black like the color of it’s egg. It’s silvery blue scales are very strong and durable everywhere besides it’s underbelly where the scales look white.

Distinguishing Features: The contrast of colors on Moon.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Music is definitely without a doubt Moon's thing. She is a virtuoso, and easily picks up on instraments and other musical things. She plays many instrments, her best being the viola. She also love playing drums. MoonBreeze has a great singing voice, and loves using it everywhere.

Weaknesses: Focus. Moon has ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) and can new stay still or focused. She is also tapping her hooves, or moving her wings, or just fidgiting. Some find it extremely obnoxious, and are repelled by her lack of focus.
Occupation: Music shop owner. Moon gives voice lessons and instrament lessons. She also sells a wide variety of musical instraments, sheet music, and everything else you need music wise. At night, she sometimes moonlights at bars, as she is pretty good at making drinks.
Gear: A quote from Dearh Battle is appropriate for this time,

History: Moon was born as the youngest of 3 sisters. The oldest was Lark, she was a grey unicorn with blue eyes, the middle was Citrus, a bright green and yellow unicorn with blue eyes. MoonBreeze was the only pegasus in her family, but it wasn't that strange seeing as her aunt and unle were both pegasai.

Even though she was the youngest, Moon was the first to receive her cutie mark. She was out flying, and found a couple of elderly ponies stuck it some clouds. MoonBreeze heroically saved them and destroyed the cloud, which earned her a cutie mark. Her sisters still hadn't figured out there talents when Moon came home a night in the middle of Autumn with her cutie mark. Her sisters were jealous, and received there within a few months, but Moon still felt special. She also was the first to move out and go to a music school. Once graduated, Moon moved to Manehattan, wanting a taste of city life affer all those years in Cloudsdale. She opened up her shop and became quite successful.

Personality: Moon is extremely ambitious and cocky. She loves to strive to be the best, and boosts her ego everytime she succeeds. Her bragging irritates people beyond belief, but she reels them back in with her charming sense of humor and quick wits. MooBreeze is a bit slow on social ques, but is loyal and fun to be around.
Current Home: Apartment in Manehattan, on her own.

Distinguishing Features: His bat-like wings, fluffy tipped ears, and sunglasses.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Agile while in the air, pinpoint accuracy with throwing knives, excellent hearing, and can see better in the dark than normal ponies. He is also rather fast and strong for pegasus standards.

Weaknesses: High pitched noise and when not wearing his glasses he can get blinded by bright lights. He doesn't like talking about his past, much less want to remember anything that happened in his past.

Occupation: Lunar Guard

Gear: Sunglasses, lunar guard armor and a sword that has an engraving of the moon on the hilt.

History: In the time period Star had once lived in, it was in devastation after Discord had ruled. Ponies were suffering and when Celestia and Luna trapped Discord in stone, things got only slightly better. Ponies were still starving and there were more foals in orphanages then they could feed. Some foals were just out right thrown out into the streets to fend for themselves.

When he was a foal, Star was left at an orphanage by his parents. Having no parents and a caretaker who didn't like foals, Star had to learn to grow up faster than what he was supposed to. The older foals in the orphanage helped him learn and how to not starve. They also helped him stay out of trouble by roaming the streets of Canterlot at night.

As he got slightly older, he helped the other younger foals. At that time he was about nine years old, but he know more things than any adult would. He knew how to stick to the shadows and when not to be stupid. He knew how to live in the environment Discord had left Equestria in.

One night, and a few other foals went out of the orphanage to explore Canterlot, even though Star said they shouldn’t. They went towards the castle, as close as they dared to go without getting in trouble. They saw two guards standing still as statues. They almost through they were statues until one of them sneezed. Star panicked pushed the other foals back towards the orphanage only to be caught by another guard that was patrolling around Canterlot.

Unlucky for them, this particular guard didn’t really like foals and seeing that they were suppose to be roaming around Canterlot made him all the more happy to punish them. Star stood in front of the other foals, intending to protect at all cost. At that moment a constellation appeared on his flank, marking that he got his cutie mark. This particular constellation, however, represented a shield. It showed that he would protect others from threats.

The guard just laughed at Star and his futile attempt to protect the other foals. While the guard was laughing, however, Star jumped towards him and punched him as hard as he could. The guard was taken back by the sudden punch. He fell to the ground, shocked at the little colt. The guard jumped back to his hooves, drawing his spear and trying to hit Star with the handle.

Star was hit on the head with the handle of the spear, but didn’t move from his spot. He stayed there in front of the other foals. He wouldn’t let this guard get to the others even if he get severely hurt. The guard just stared at him, silently wondering. They both stared each other down.

Star jumped at the guard again. The guard, however, was ready and used his spear to swat Star away. Star landed on the ground hard. The guard raised his spear and brought it down on him. Star covered his head with his hooves, waiting for what was to come, but it never came.

Star moved his hooves away from his head and saw a dark blue shield around him and the other foals. The guard’s spear was on the ground and the guard himself was cowering on the ground, staring at a tall, lanky figure flying in the sky. The figure had both wings and a horn. Star looked at the figure, knowing that he has seen this pony before.

The figure landed right in front of the guard, glaring at him. Able to see more of the figure in the dim moon light, Star could see the pony had a dark purple coat and a starry mane. It then just clicked in Star’s mind who this pony was. It was Princess Luna, the princess of the night. Star watched as Luna’s magic aura wrapped around the guard, and in a flash the guard was gone.

The shield around Star and the other foals disappeared, Luna smiling at them all. Star quickly bowed down to Luna, the other foals following his lead. Luna told them to rise and asked them what they were doing exploring Canterlot alone at night and where their parents were.

Star explained to Luna that they were orphans and didn’t have any parents. He also said that they wanted to explore Canterlot at night because they had a lower chance of being caught by an adult. He quickly apologized to Luna for them getting in trouble with a guard.

Luna told Star that it was alright and that he was a very brave pony for standing up to a guard. She told them that they should probably get back to their orphanage before another guard comes by. The other foals quickly ran off leaving Star there with Luna. He quickly hugged one of her forelegs and ran off after the others.

Later that month, a festival was being held in the center of Canterlot. The festival was dedicated to Starswirl the Bearded. Star and some of the foals from the orphanage attended and looked around at all the stuff. Star, in particular, went to watch a demonstration of Starswirl’s time traveling spell.

The ponies that were demonstrating it asked for a volunteer from the audience and Star raised his hoof. The ponies on the stage laughed a little at how excited Star was and chose him to try the spell on. The ponies were pretty sure the spell wouldn’t work and figured it was harmless to try it on a little colt.

Star flew up onto the stage and stood still, waiting for the ponies to cast the spell. The two ponies wrapped Star in their magic aura and casted the spell. In a flash of bright light Star was gone, shocking both the ponies on the stage and the audience.

Star had to close his eye at how bright the flash was, and when he opened his eyes he saw he wasn’t on a stage anymore. He was standing on a cobblestone path leading into a small town. Wondering where he was, Star followed the path into the small town.

Once in the town, Star looked around at the builds, noticing they weren’t like the building in Canterlot. He quickly crossed out  being in Canterlot as a no brainer, because the town wasn’t on the side of a mountain and he could see Canterlot in the distance.

He considered asking one of the ponies in the small town where he was, but decided against it because they would find out he’s not from this town. Something clicked in him mind that seemed to elude him earlier. He didn’t remember a town being anywhere near the base of the mountain that  Canterlot resided on.

Star wondered if there was a library in the small town, spreading his wings and flying. He had to learn at least where he was. He’d figure he’d find out when this town was set up as well while he’s at it.

Star stopped in the air when he saw a giant tree that looked like it was made into a house. He landed in front of a window and looked inside. Seeing bookshelves and books, he ran inside the tree and started searching for what town this was and when it was built.

He searched hours on end and didn’t find anything. Just as he was about to give up he found a book called “Predictions and Prophecies”. It told about a Mare in the Moon and the Elements of Harmony. Star didn’t really understand what the book was saying, but was pretty sure there wasn’t a mare in the moon the last time he checked.

Star closed the book and put it aside for a later time, continuing his search for what town he was in. Instead of find the name of the town he was in he found more information on the Mare in the Moon and a pony named Nightmare Moon.

Convinced he wouldn’t find the name of the town in the books, he just started to read about Nightmare Moon and how the pony was sent to the moon. The more he read, however, the more the pieces started to line up. From the spell that was suppose to teleport him in time to the legend of the Mare in the Moon and Nightmare Moon.

Star was too focused on to books he never even noticed when the sun went down. He did, however, notice that he was sleepy. He just continued to studying the books and tried to make sense of it all.

The next morning, Star woke up to some crazy pink pony shaking him. The pink pony quickly said to go to the park and meet an orphanage caretaker by the fountain. The pink pony put the books he was looking back on the shelves and zoomed off, grabbing Star on her way out.

When the pink pony finally stopped, Star was practically screaming in terror. After all, he was just rudely awaken was carried all the way to the park by a crazy pony. The pink pony dropped him down in front of an earth pony mare who looked at the pink pony curiously. The pink pony just smiled then zoomed off.

The pony asked if Star was a orphan like that pink pony said he was. At first, Star was hesitant to answer, but after a few moments he said yes. The pony seemed to smile even more at Star. The pony started to walk away, Star following close behind for reasons unknown to even himself.

The pony walked over to a building, walking inside. Star poked his head inside and saw other foals playing around, jumping on bunk beds and playing tag. Star knew what kind of building this was and what kind of pony the earth pony was. It was an orphanage and this pony was the caretaker of the orphanage. As small smile crept onto his mouth as he walked in and played with the other foals. He figured if the other foals were happy then the caretaker had to be nice. His thoughts were proven right over the years.

A few years later, Star had lived in the orphanage with the other foals in Ponyville, learning the name of the town when he was brought to the schoolhouse to learn. He had forgotten about the books he was researching when he first got to Ponyville and that time period. Only a few months ago did he remember what he was researching because Nightmare Moon returned and Princess Luna was made co-ruler of Equestria again.

He thought he owed a debt he need to repay for that night Luna saved him. He moved away from Ponyville and moved to Canterlot so he could be close to Luna and be a Royal Guard. He trained his hardest to be a guard and when he was accepted he was happy as can be and continued to train with all his might.

Personality: Reckless, Goofy, Kind, Impatient at times, foalish, and Brave. He also acts like any normal guard when around Luna.

History: Dusk Quill was born and raised in a quiet community just outside of Fillydelphia. He lived an ordinary life growing up in the sleepy suburb, taking a fondness to books and the written word at a young age. He became a loner, choosing to spend his time immersed in the worlds between pages of prose for hours at a time. This lifestyle followed him all the way through university, where he would spend his days observing the world around him and taking in all the little details of the ponies inhabiting it.

When he graduated, Dusk set out across Equestria with a single goal: to write. He took it as his own personal quest to tell the stories of ponies he encountered, writing their struggles, achievements, and lives into the pages of his manuscripts, all while searching for where he belongs in the world.

Personality: Gentle, honest, and warm-hearted, Dusk tries to make the best of any situation he finds himself in. His shyness often keeps him from saying the first word or making the first move, though if he has something to say, he says it. His humor is often sarcastic and droll, but despite it, he is an old-fahsioned romantic at heart. Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Silversteel has a knack for almost anything mixed, and almost all of his skills, techniques and abilities are hybrids of things. His fighting style is a strange medley, relying on melee single - hoof swordsmanship, throwing - knife play, acrobatics, mobility and defense magic, and occasional explosives.

This hybridization tendency seeps into every aspect of Silversteel's personality. His cooking is a mix of assorted styles, his metalwork usually revolves around alloys and pattern mixes, and his sculpting often creates weird monsters with pieces of creatures patched together. In fact, the only activity of his where mixing is not prominent is in his mead creation.

Weaknesses: Silversteel tends to be terrible in conversations as he mixes together speech patterns.

Occupation: During times of war, he leads the Argyrum Rangers, a small group of highly - trained and specialized unicorns. In peace, he sell mead and assorted metalwork. It has often been a joke in his group that he should make metallic mead to fit in with his theme of mixing things.

Gear: He wears light armor fashioned from small silver - steel alloy chains, has small throwing knives on his person, and has an ornate silver sword mounted on a bracer that he wears on his hoof.

History: (AU) Silversteel grew in a tiny village in the South - Eastern corner of Equestria, surrounded by a forest filled with dangerous creatures, and so weapons were much coveted. However, the village subsisted on silver mining, which, while profitable, wasn't all that useful in their daily struggle for safety and survival. Silversteel's parents were smiths, and named him such in the hopes that someday he would "be as beautiful as silver and strong like steel".

He grew up and learned the tricks of the smithing trade from his parents, and went steps further. His parents worked mostly with steel, which was harder to get than silver in his village, and subsequently managed to put a strain on the family budget. Silversteel got his mark and lived up to his name almost simultaneously one snowy winter night, when he experimented on a feasible hybrid of silver and steel for weapon - making, and succeeded.

This mix granted his family some prosperity, and his town some security. When there wasn't much need for his weapons expertise, he spent his time experimenting with food and drink. At some point, he tasted mead and became a fan, dedicating a large chunk of his income into making his own and driving a business with it. To the present day, he remains the only supplier of mead in the village, even after he took up residence elsewhere.

He grew up a healthy and strong young stallion, without too much incident. There were always many life or death battles in his life, as expected for a land surrounded by hardship, which honed his unique and most would say nonsensical fighting style and capabilities.

However, when war struck, none was spared. Eventually the unicorns marched and seized his village, and found that his family was responsible for the unique assortment of military tools found in the village, and this allowed them to bargain with the army. They struck a deal - "We work for you, and the village retains its autonomy."

Silversteel's unique capabilities quickly endeared him to some of the higher - ups in the Horncaste unicorn army, and he rose through the ranks. Within three years he was a commander of his own tiny group, called the Argyrum Rangers. However, this group filled with members and friends of his own choosing had a secret agenda - they were, in accordance with the Horncaste itself, working to end the war; however, they were seeking to end it without concern regarding whether or not they were the victor.

Personality: Silversteel, true to his preferences, is a mix of assorted characteristics normally incongruous with each other. He tends to be unpredictable due to his innovative mindset and creativity leading him to experiment and combine almost everything, even his own personality. However, there are a few constants, such as his generally easily abashed and flustered behavior, his love for grandeur and sense of the dramatic, and his general obliviousness.

He has a knack for making conversation and interaction generally awkward as he either says things that sound like other things entirely, or speaks in a manner that is too much of a motley medley of others to be comprehensible. He also has a bit of tendency to be twitchy.

Silversteel is rather easy to get along with, if one can get used to his strange antics and speaking.

Current Home: He has taken up temporary residence in Canterlot.

Misc: He made a metal snowflake once in the image of his cutie mark. He brings it with him and it occasionally sees use in battle.
