Wayward Souls (private)

The earth pony grit his teeth in anger. "Nopony talks to me that way," he said before lifting a hoof to swing at Lightning. The other two were moving as well, the pegasi was moving toward Brim, who was still eating, with the other earth pony was moving up on Lightning as well. A large number of the bar's other patrons were getting wound up from the commotion as well, though they weren't moving towards Lightning or Brim just yet.

lightning pulled out her bionic hoof and fired a large steel wire into the wall just ahead of the pegusis and a large current was put in it as the wire began to spark and heat up and with the other hoof she pulled out her katana and swung the bunt end at the earth pony's head with incredible force to knock him back and deter him.

The burst of electricity was more than enough to make the pegasi recoil, but the small arcing sparks did little to it's insulated coat. The earth pony however wasn't as easily deterred by the blow, which he seemed to more or less just brute through it. The appearance of the blade itself however did give the stallion pause. The other earth pony however drew out his own knife and stabbed it at Lightning.

A large number of the other bar patrons however were suddenly standing up and attacking each other. Over what was unknown, but it didn't seem to take much to get the crowd going in an uproar until the entire bar was caught in the brawl. Meanwhile, Brim was still obliviously and happily munching on the remainder of his hay fries.

lightning switheld the blade and held the sharp edge to his neck but unfortunately missed the knife entirely which found itself in her abdomen. she recoiled and slammed her hoof int her chest which created a shock-wave and a large bubble shield around her pushing them back, but leaving the knife in her. she looked at the knife, took a deep breath and yanked it out. then she took a shot with her gun at the other earth-ponies leg as the shield went down and she tied her wound tight to stop bleeding and the such. she lifted her bionic hoof and aimed it ahead of her to fire the steel rope if they approached again.

The shock-wave and bright light from the force field actually created enough of a scene that the majority of the fighting in the bar stopped. Nopony moved for moments in the following silence, that is until Lightning and Brim would find themselves held in a telekinetic grip. The magic steadily encased the two, lifted them off the ground, and then began to carry them to the door. Abruptly, the two were thrown out of the bar, and looking back was barkeeper scowling. "And don't come back," he said before slamming the door shut again.

Brim looked thoroughly confused from the swift discharge, but soon his eyes fell on the wound and fresh blood on Lightning. "H-hey are you okay?" He asked moving towards her to get a better look at the wound.

she struggled up "ill be fine... lets go.." bleeding abit more through the cloth.

Brim looked grimly at the wound since he'd seen many that were worse, or lesser on the souls that went on into the hells. Still though, he followed with no hesitation, wanting to keep close in case Lightning might need his help.

lightning contemplated flying, but knew if she fainted mid flight that would be it.. she had a teleport stone but she couldn't leave brim... she was out of options and just walked for some while but slowly, she became weak and in the end has to lay down.

Now Brim was worried. He knew Lightning was hurt despite what she claimed and didn't offer any protest to her laying down, though he had no idea what to do now. "L-lightning, do you need anything? I- I can help, just tell me what you need help with."

"n..no.. i just need... sleep.. yeah.. sleep.." she said somewhat getting quieter.

Brim nodded but he was still worried. It was getting dark though and Brim was starting to have a hard time seeing. Plus it was getting cold. Steeling himself to solve at least two problems, Brim got some sticks together and then spent the next hour trying to get his hoof alight. Eventually though, it all but erupted which nearly singed the collection of sticks to the point of just char. Putting out his hoof by pushing it deep into one of the snow banks, Brim left quickly to grab some more sticks and keep the fire going.

After returning and stoking the flames, Brim sat down near Lightning with a worried smile on his face. "There you go Lightning, that'll keep you warm until morning," Brim said even though he wasn't expecting a reaction. Brim then simply sat and waited for the moment, not noticing the eyes that were watching from a ways off.

lightnings hoof began to shake and a crystal flew out , glowing blue it hovered there and the suddenly it started to emit a specter.

Brim watched with wide eyes, wondering what it was and what it was doing.

in formd a ghost like 30 year old festral mare, she smiled softly and the demon and shushed him, she looked at lightning and sighed as she began to heal the gash slowly and she sat down.

Brim nodded, and continued to watch with wide eyes until a different noise drew his attention.

"Heh, not so tough now that your little marefriend's out of comission," the large earth pony from the bar said as he walked close enough to the fire that he could be seen. The other two walked up as well, much to Brim's growing concern. Worriedly, he cast a look towards Lightning who'd just started this weird healing spell. "Heh, I wouldn't be worried about her since Mortar here's already taken her out for the night. Nah, you best be worried about yourself first and foremost you little freak," he continued as he took a few more intimidating steps forwards.

Brim backed up slightly, but then set his hooves and let out a roar that did little more than make the stallions chuckle. The leader then rushed forwards, hitting and tossing Brim to the ground. "Hey Mortar, Sonic, keep an eye on the mare, I'm going to have some fun with this runt," he said. The other two obliging with little more than a nod as the large pony strode back towards Brim who was just starting to bring himself to his hooves.

the specter got up "you really are that perfetic huh?" she said in a care soft voice before loosing her temper at the two keeping an eye on lightning and blasting them with a steady stream of almost pure magic which knocked a few trees other too.

The blast shot through with the pegasi dodging, but the pony known as Mortar didn't react fast enough. This just contributed to the surprise when the blast cleared, he was still standing there with a hoof raised protectively in front of his face and a barrier surrounding him. "Hehe, looks like it was a good thing you called me up Gurder," said a unicorn who's horn was still glowing from casting the spell. Then he charged up a force spell and launched it at the specter.

"Heh, good timing as always Cosmic," Gurder replied over his shoulder before turning back to the demon who was now on his hooves and charging towards Gurder. The burly earth pony barely had time to grunt as Brim head butted him, the horns driving into Gurder's chest. The brute however just grunted again, raised a foreleg to knee Brim in the muzzle and then bring down his other hoof driving Brim into the ground where he repeatedly started stomping on him. "Argh, you little prick, you got me thrown out of my favorite bar tonight and now this. Of I'm going to freaking kill you," he said but eventually he stopped after a few moments when Brim was just shuddering.

"Heh, this isn't even fun anymore. Maybe I'll go and give your little mare friend a test," Gurder remarked getting up and turning his back to Brim, facing the on going magic battle between Cosmic and the specter. He'd only taken 3 steps however when a new light erupted behind him.

the specter charged bat the unicorn went to fire a spell but at the last second teleported behind him and proceeded to trow trees at him whilst blasting the large earth pony with a red stream of magic "DONT YOU DARE TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!" she shouted as her stream became a full on beam of destruction, the specters eyes glowing as she became more and more vicious.

The blast knocked Gurder off to the side, but he once again got up with a grunt. Cosmic managed to erect another shield to deflect the trees until the specter turned it's attention away from him. At that point, he launched a disruption spell at it to see what would happen. The other two moved back over to Lightning where Mortar re-drew his knife. Holding it's blade to Lightning's neck, he called out "Hey, mother spooks. either calm down or your dear daughter gets..."

Mortar let the statement hang as he looked in disbelief towards Gurder. Gurder however noticed that he wasn't actually looking at him, but behind him. Gurder had enough time to look over his should before a black shadow flew forward, grabbed him, and flew back into the darkness of the woods where they disappeared from sight. There were yells, sounds of a brief struggle, and then some gurgling before silence.

the specter took it as if she was shot but she couldn't let her daughter get hurt, she used the distraction as a good opportunity to get in the way and guard lightning,pressing the shield button which pushed even her away, with this opportunity she engulfed mortars face with an energy pertruding from her hoof which began to choak him, she pushed him to the ground with the last of her strength.

Cosmic was about to launch another spell when when something pulled a hoof out from under him. He got out a single yelp before he too disappeared into the woods and some wet sounds echoed out followed by silence. That only left Mortar and Sonic, though with Mortar being held in a choke hold Sonic was bringing himself to a hover and turned to fly away.

Sonic got to the upper edge of the trees when something side swiped him, sending the pony into a spiral that he managed to correct before crashing. Whatever it was that had sideswiped him however landed just outside the fire. Gradually it strode forward to reveal Brim though he was different. His eyes were two solid glowing yellow orbs, his hooves had spike like claws protruding from them, and his overall size was larger. Brim strode forwards, his teeth set in a scowl as he growled while taking tentative steps forwards.

she finished him off and abruptly collapsed next to the lifeless remains. she left her hoof on the sheild protecting lightning.

Brim didn't hesitate as he continued moving forwards, the glowing yellow eyes not showing where he was actually looking, but the enraged demon was still slowly moving towards the two.

the mare looked to the demon but could do nought about it. she weakly looked on.

When Brim was fairly close, the demon sucked in a deep breath. When he exhaled, it was in a massive torrent of flame that was aimed to engulf both Lightning and the specter.
