"I lived here once upon a time and i make visits very often, atop that i have books to return, as for my buddy brim here, im not sure what happened, i expect i know the pony he speaks of but how he escaped i do not know, but he was lost and alone, he needed somepony to help him along in this world, i dare say he only just understands the need of food, despite my lecture..."she trailed of "But he is my first friend and i swear my self as his.. guardian" she said smiling enthusiastically.

Once again Luna and Celestia looked between themselves, seemingly sharing an unspoken conversation before standing up. "Be that as it may, we still will need to speak with the demon Brim, alone," Princess Luna said in a firm tone. The two got up and led Brim away, despite his usual obliviousness, Brim was a little nervous. At least this time, he wasn't be held a spear point.

"its ok brim, its going to be fine i promise, ill be here when you get back" she said loudly as he was walked away.

Brim nodded and was led out. A few moments later, he returned alone. "They said I was free to roam the city," Brim said as he re-entered the dining room. "But they want me to stay in the city for a few days."

"that's ok, we just need to find a place to stay then" she said happy with the news.

Brim nodded, and followed along as the guards escorted the two out of the palace. Though there was a pit stop at the library to return the books Lightning had borrowed, but soon enough the two were let loose on the streets to do what they pleased.

lightning smiled at brim "that was sorta nice, what did the princesses say to you tho?"

"Not much really. They asked a few questions, like what was my name, did I have any other friends, who were my parents. After that they said I could stay while they took care of some things and told me to go," Brim replied already beginning to look around at the variety of buildings that surrounded them.

"so, a hotel is most likely what we need, tho, staying at the castle would be nice but let us go hehe" light hearted

Brim had followed Lightning to the inn, and had waited patiently while she got the room situation taken care of, but now a new sensation was rapidly welling up inside him. With pleading eyes, he turned towards the mare and said, "Lightning, I'm getting hungry."

she smiled "ill sort out our dinner then hmm?" she said smiling

"Yay, though it isn't going to cost too much is it?" Brim asked already starting to look down the street for places to eat.

"well, i hope not" she said frankly

Brim chuckled at Lightning's response before resigning to follow the mare where she led the. Around were several different kinds of restaurants. Everything from your cheap fast food quality meals to the rather refined and exquisite masterpieces that some would argue are more art than food. Brim, being completely foreign to what most of these things were, gazed about in awe of the shear spectrum of restaurants as well as the not so subtle mix of regular stores in as well.

"ah ok this place looks ok" she said walking into a cheepish mediocre restaurant.

Brim followed into the seat yourself restaurant, and after their orders were taken, he began to look around until his eyes fell on Lightning. "Lightning, why's your leg made of metal?" he asked while trying and failing to keep his eyes off the prosthetic limb.

"huh" she said out of the unexpectency of hearing that "well when i was just a filly i was struck by lightning,the charge and clash of energy blew my real hoof off, hehe i guess it was bound to happen with this name." she explained.

Brim nodded in understanding, though his eyes were still pretty wide. "It's amazing you survived," was the first thing he said. Then thinking better about it, Brim cringed at how that might have sounded and was all the more thankful that their food arrived and he could bury his face in it instead of continuing to embarrass himself.

"Mphhh Phhha Phood phory," Brim said around a mouth full. Then he swallowed and spoke a little clearer. "So what all is there in Canterlot besides all these tall buildings?"

"theaters, derbies, libraries and so much more heh" she said happily.

"Wow, so what'll we do first?" Brim asked around another mouthful. He wasn't sure exactly what he was eating, but it was pretty good. Though he wasn't exactly paying too close attention to the taste of the meal as his eyes kept drifting back to either the window where more buildings and ponies were, or to Lightning as she spoke.
