"So what do we do about this potential spy?" Shining Armour asked.

"It'll have to be among the top government positions. Only they have access to a copy of the Admiral's seal." Ician said. "I'll start drafting a new law that'll help us uncover this spy."

"If it pleases you captain... I will escort Celestia on her holoday as soon as you permit."

"Go, then." Shining Armour ordered. "I just hope we can get this sorted out soon."

"Yes, sir." Ician moved to the door. "Ah, Paladin? If I could speak with you for a moment?"

Paladin nodded and left, turning to Ician when they were outside. "What is it Ician?"

"Right, here's the other rule I was talking about." Ician whispered. "You know the story about the spy is false."

"Of course I know that." He replied in whisper.

"Right." Ician whispered back. "The drafting for the legislation is already done. I just need you to hand this to the Celestia whenever you can." He gave Paladin a folder of paper.

"What is it?" He raised an eyebrow.

"The legislation for the new law. It'll invest a lot more power in the Equestrian Intelligence Bureau, in the search for a spy. In fact... it'll give the Bureau access to every department's confidential files. You know, things like financial transactions, discreet correspondence..."

"That sounds really illegal..." Paladin sighed. "I don't know Ician..."

"No, the best part is that it's all perfectly legal." Ician grinned. "You know what the best part about having all that information revealed is?"

"What Ician?" He took the paper, before handing his own to Ician.

"Let's just say... the Anti-Corruption Agency is going to have a field day." Ician looks down at the paper Paladin passed to him. "What's this?"

"It's a request for Insight. I need him to tweak my brain." Paladin pocketed his own sheet.

"Tweak your brain?" Ician asked, confused. "What do you mean?"

"I love the Princess. I need him to get rid of these feelings, seal them away."

"Um... I'm not even sure Insight can do that." Ician said. "And why would you... oh wait, never mind."

"Then disregard it. I'll deal with this on my own. Oh, do you know anyone who does cheap flights to Oatstralia."

"... Oastralia?" Ician asked. "Not really, though I do know a trader with an airship you could rent."

"That'll do..." He tapped his chin and started to walk off.

"Goodbye... I guess." Ician gave him one last look and walked away.

Paladin waved as he walked away, still thinking.

The halls of the palace were still filled with the guards, but now they seemed much more relaxed than they were at first.
