Satisfied with the answer, Brim turned his attention back to navigating the way back to their hotel. Though as the sun set, something new drew his attention. The bright glow of neon lights from some of the Canterlot night life had him looking over to the buildings curiously. "What's that?" he asked while looking at a building that was almost shaking with the thud of music coming from inside, and glowing with amount of neon used to advertise the place.

"some sort of night club i guess" she said examining it..

"What's a night club?" Brim asked taking a few tentative steps towards the thudding music. Without realizing it, his hoof started tapping to the beat.

"a place where pony's come to drink and dance, though i hate this music and the ponies in there.. arnt my type."she said trying not to be too rude

"Oh," Brim said, turning away from the club and back towards lightning. "I guess it's back to the inn then." Brim began to trot through the streets back to the hotel room that they'd rented earlier.

"you ok there brim?" she askedd smiling lightly

"Ye-yeah, I- I'm fine, just a little curious," Brim replied as they continued walking. He still seemed quite distracted though as they continued walking.

Lightning waited to get to the in before asking anything more.

The rest of the trip to the inn was in a mix of awkward silence and regular silence. The two meshing horribly together to make most of the trip just uncomfortable. Then they got back to the inn, and after reaching their room Brim flopped onto the bed unceremoniously. "I think I was more tired than I thought," he mumbled out since his face was buried in a pillow.

lightning walked over and tucked him in "sleep well my demonic friend" she said before sitting on her own bed.

"You too my aug-oof-mented friend," Brim replied from where he laid.

"augoofmented huh? hehe" she said to herself quietly.

"domph mafffooom my phleeph talk," Brim mumbled gradually from his bed.

lightning with no comprihention of what he said sat back and rested her head.

The night went about without incident, though in the morning, a loud series of thuds sounded out from the door. Brim moaned, but rolled out of bed and onto his hooves. Mumbling out mild protests, Brim opened the door and to his surprise a large metal lock was suddenly fastened around his hooves and neck. Brim barely had time to yelp before he was being forcibly drug away by a collection of ponies in armor.

lightning jumped out of bed and ran after them, but stopped, she got out a small gun like device, and with a small pellet like thing shot brim, barely noticeable but it burrowed its way into his skin lightly with anesthetic to avoid coursing pain, and at that the tracking unit activated. but to be safe she kept almost 50ft between them.

Brim failed to notice the shot, as he continued to struggle in the grasps of the armor clad ponies. They too failed to notice either the shot or the following Lightning as they forcefully led Brim back to the castle. He was taken to the courtyard that was strangely devoid of other ponies aside from the two princesses and a collection of guards that flanked them. There was also a pony in rather formal business looking attire, and a briefcase held in the unicorn's telekinetic grip.

As Brim was brought before the assembly, the guards straightened their stature, and the pony with the briefcase gave the guards that brought Brim in a nod. They brought Brim over to him and forced him to sit there, much to his dismay and ever increasing confusion. For a few tense moments, silence was all that reigned and just as it was reaching the unbearable point, Celestia spoke. "Brimstone, do you know why you have been brought here today?" she asked, to which Brim shook his head to say no. "It is because of accusations of what happened a few days ago in the woods north of this city."

lightning spectated from the rooftop, adding the mana batteries to her bionic hoof.

Brim's confusion partially melted away, adding in a big of fear evident on the demon's features as the princess made him recall the eventful night. "The pony by your side will be helping you argue your case while this pony," she said stepping to the side to reveal Sonic, the pegasi that had attacked them with Mortar, Gurder, and Cosmic a few nights prior.

"Will be make his case against you. The accusations are for the murders of Cosmic the unicorn, and Mortar and Gurder the earth ponies. Sonic here claims you killed them with some strange form of demonic powers and the remains of the ponies found does support this claim. What do you have to say in your defense?" Celestia asked while looking at the scared looking demon.

"I- I was- I was just trying to," Brim stammered out after a brief conversation with the pony at his side. "I was trying to protect Lightning, and myself," he continued to which Celestia looked towards Sonic expectantly, but the pegasi didn't even notice as he was still glaring at Brim.

"You're a monster and you killed them," Sonic finally said when he realized some of the eyes were on him. "Would have killed me too if I'd hung around," he continued as he tried to shift the focus back on the demon.

lightning took a deep breath then preparing her newly tinkered hoof for what could be a big event.

"But you attacked me and Lightning!" Brim yelled out suddenly, but this time it was Celestia that responded.

"Yes, and he will be held accountable for those actions. Your actions however are what is being discussed here because of the severity of murder," Celestia said in her neutral voice. "Brimstone, I will ask this simply and plainly and I want an honest answer. Did you kill those three ponies?"

"I- I don't know," Brim said as he tried to remember the night.

"You killed them and you know it you monster!" Sonic yelled out, but was quickly silenced by one of Celestia's wings unfurling in front of him.

"Brim, did you kill them," Celestai asked again, still maintaining her neutral tone.

"I don't remember!" Brim cried, his will crumbling to pressure of the scene.

she finished her extra plans before readying herself to the fight or argument that may unfurl.

Brim was almost cowering with fear under the gaze of what felt like the whole world. "I don't remember, it's all a blur. Those ponies showed up, and the big one was beating me up and then I think I hit him back and, and..." Brim's stammering dissolved into incoherence's as the interrogation continued.

"Sister, a word if I may," Luna suddenly piped up before ducking out of sight with Celestia. A few moments later the two returned, Celestia with a solemn look upon her face and Luna with a distant one.

"Brimstone, in light of new information, I have no choice but to find you guilty of the crimes of murder. The sentence will however be given in private due to the unusual circumstances of your presence in Equestria," Celestia responded resolutely. "This session is adjourned, guards please escort Sonic to the jails, and bring Brim to the 3 conference room," she continued.

Brim, unsure of what to do or say, just quietly went along where he was led.

lightning knew it would be a bad move to strike no, and thus she followed outside, all the way to the window.
