Training Grounds

This isn't a new thread, so anything that happened in the new one counts for this one. Please go continue what you were doing before this.
                                            
                                                                   
Welcome one and all to the Training Room. Ever since the the Coliseum was closed down we needed a place to settle disputes in the most violent ways possible. Not only will you be able to fight against your rivals, now you can fight along side friends against opponents that will be able to make sure the fight is something to remember.

Though there is only five rooms in this place you can be able to go anywhere you want with the portals that we have that we have located all over this building.

You maybe wondering on if this place is safe. I'm here to say without a shadow of a doubt that this place will be able heal any wounds and your equipment will be restored after the fight. This place surrounded by a time-space spell that allows you to be taken out of the battle before a deadly blow can be dealt.

And with that I hope you all will enjoy this place.

The place was bigger than the flyer was led you to believe. The building was as tall as two story building and it must have been wider than two houses sitting side by side. Even though it wasn't in the Empire the place was made entirely  of crystals something that Canterlot normally wouldn't have a abundance of. The crystals glowed in a dim grey as the radiated their power. There is a double door entrance that leads inside.

The inside the building was lite by the same grey energy that was radiating outside. There was door for each of the five walls of the building. A crystal hung over each down except for the one in the back of the room, which had a sign that said "Theater."  

In the middle of this a dark skinned man was sitting sitting at desk. His entire head was bare except for the grey horn sticking out of it and which was also giving off the same glow the rest of the building had. He also seemed rather fit for a human.

He eyes raced over the laptop that was sitting on top of the desk. He looked rather consumed as he would rapidly type things onto the keyboard. The only interruption was paper that would pop up next to him which he would glance over before reading bringing his attention back to the laptop.

Hanging over the front of the desk a sign saying:

Rules
1. no auto-hitting unless it's obvious that your attack will connect, needs the hittie's approval as well
2. Default is whoever gets knocked out or is unable to fight anymore loses so if you want to do something else say so
3. Be respectful to others out of fights
4. Go into a room so that you can be transported to your area of choice.
5. Add detail to your attack such as location, effects, and how the attack is being delivered
6. Pain be increased or decreased depending on the fighter's preference
7. Opponents can be healed mid-battle if everyone in the fight allows it
8. No sex
9. Each fight needs to be separate thread and with everyone meeting in this thread
10.There might be future rules.

In the doors of the building marched a large, well built pony standing well above the guards who flanked him and remained outside the door. Wrapped in a large purple cloak which on the shoulders bore black, jagged spikes obviously there for decoration, the stallion flexed his arms as he marched toward the desk.

Prince Astron's outfits were always flamboyant and boastful when he visited the Training Grounds. His actual combat attire though, and especially his skill in the art of combat, more than lived up to his boasting.

He had come for one reason. It had been known that some time ago Astron had begun a match with a pony called Lightning Storm, which due to the Prince's own obligations had been called off mid-battle. Now he had come back for his promised rematch.

It wasn't hard to miss the Prince both by his entire and his guard, as if him being an alicorn didn't do that already. Lightning pushed himself out of his seat and slowly flew over to Astron since he knew the Prince didn't like to be formal. He wore a simple black jacket with two stripes down the shoulder area which as unzipped to show a light blue t-shirt. The stallion also wore a pair of black sweat pants.

Once, he got closer he greeted the Prince with a simple wave. "Finally came back to finish our fight. So, do you want to chose the place or me to. Also, is anyone getting arrested." He said gesturing over to the guards outside.

Astron just chuckled. "You should know by now that the guards are sadly a requirement wherever we go. Good for favors and such but annoying to not get any privacy, you have any idea how hard it is to chase up potential flank when you have to bring three or four hulking guys in armor with you?"

The Prince laughed to himself as he shrugged off his cloak and through it over a chair, shoving the black singlet that covered his legs and chest which he wore for combat. "I'm not particularly bothered where we fight Lightning. I assume you have a preference?"

Lightning tapped his chin as he thought for a moment as he looked up. "Actually, I think that would help to get a few because there's always mares that like a stallion in armor." As he brought his eyes back down he noticed Astron's new entire which made the pegasus have to force done a laugh. The wrestler suits always looked silly, at least for Lightning it was, on ponies an didn't seem that the Prince was exception.

Luckily, he was able to stop himself from laughing his plot off and not probably insult the guy who could create tornadoes with little to no effort. "How about...someplace with a good number of trees and not anywhere closer or like an ocean or sea where you can pull Hurricanes out of your plot." Tornadoes were simple, but a full below hurricane was something else entirely. "Maybe a forested mountain range?"

Omodor placed a hand to his neck to his neck as he walked in, pushing until he heard and felt a small cracking. It was supposed to be bad for you to do that, but he'd made it to his age just fine. Getting 60 was certainly an achievement given the intensity of his work and past trauma. He pulled up a part of his black scarf that had slipped. To say he was wearing any armor would be rather laughable. Don't get hit was a rather universal part of his most basic strategy; "hit it 'til it dies, don't get hit". Besides, it was good to feel exposed, it was feeling that eased with...exposure. 

He carried a sword with him in a manner undeserving of a weapon. He treated it as a complete stranger, knowing not the dangers, or as a very familiar friend. The sword was indistinguishable from the others of its batch. He examined it regardless as he awaited challenge, idly turning it over, fingers dancing the sharp edges.

Another newcomer soon flew into the building's lobby. The dark blue pegasi, wearing his typical bright red trench coat and wide brimmed, floppily pointed hat, settled down into his seat. There he awaited for someone, or any pony to take up a fight against him. Leaning back, Zen's muzzle pulled into a wide grin that all but showed off the set of pointed teeth that he sported. "So who's up for a round?"

A green unicorn with golden armor appeared as Zen spoke his challenge. "It's been a while since I went a round or two against somepony." He said with a smile as he went to get to Zen. The stallion didn't seem to care much about the pegasus' teeth or his strange attire. "So, if you want you can pick the place and I'll fight you there." He said as he took off his helmet to show his dark brown mane. "Unless you want me to of course." He said.

"Nah, I think I'll take point this time and set up the arena. Though fair warning, I'm thinking of really mixing things up this time," Zen replied as he almost sprang up from his seat and instantly going to hovering in the air. Flying over towards one of the rooms, and with an image set in his mind, Zen entered the forming arena.

Inside was something perhaps even Discord might have granted a second look. The general setup was something of a slightly hilly area, yet it's diversity was staggering. The hills to the north of the entrance rose considerably higher than any of the others, and were coated in flames as they transformed into volcanoes filled to overflowing with molten rock. The magma trickling down the sides of passively erupting mountains.

To the south, the hills floated on chunks of ground that defied gravity as they floated in the air. Upon these flying islands that ranged in size from slightly bigger than a pony to larger than some of the smaller towns were thick forests, with the densest ones becoming full on jungles on the larger islands. Below, rocky outcroppings and barren landscape marred the beauty of the scene.

To the east, past a constant veil of steam from contact with the lava, the land abruptly froze. Snow and ice coated the landscape as the veritable tundra stretched on, the ice rose into small glaciers, completely replacing the the normal soil and ground hills.

Lastly, to the west, an ocean stretched as far as the eyes could see, and just a bit into the seascape lied a rather impressive lightning storm. The bolts of electricity from the violent clouds, almost constantly striking the surface of the water.

Various ponds and small bodies of liquid dotted the various landscapes (excluding the seascape of course). Though these were frozen in the tundra, boiled in the inferno, and spilled over the edges of the forested floating islands. The scene was mind boggling, and in the center, where the entrance to the arena sat, a column rose well above the ground level and made up the entrance floor.

For a moment, Zen simply hovered around and marveled at the insanity of everything. Even the almost hidden detail of the sun shining over the snow-scape to the east, and moon watching over the storms lying to the west. "Oh this is going to be great!" he exclaimed becoming almost giddy in excitement. With a highly exaggerated motion, Zen drew out his twin swords from tears in his pocket dimension. The runes along the two sickle swords gleaming in the abnormal light. Turning back around while hovering just to the south of the pedestal, Zen awaited his opponent to arrive and their match to begin.

Blade walked into the room and was somewhat confused by his surroundings. He wasn't entirely sure what had caused the stallion to think of something like this, but he wasn't going to question it. He eyed the place carefully since knowing Zen's abilities he might be going to all of them a different points. At the lightning storm he smirked. "Lightning, would love that place." He thought. The smile faded quickly as he noticed the pegasus' new weapons. "Two swords? What happened to your scythe?" He asked quizzically. His horn began to lite as he spoke assuming his opponent would strike shortly after answering.

"Heh, don't worry, I've still got it. I'm just not starting off with it," Zen replied from where he hovered. Flying off a bit and going into a few lazy loops, Zen was lightly giggling at the absurdity of the place. "Ah but isn't this just amazing? Such diversity within this arena within such a small area. Let's get started, shall we?" He asked while still doing one of the loops. As the arc brought him to facing Blade, blades of magical energy launched from the now glowing runes along Zen's swords and raced towards the other pony.

Blade looked over the area again and took in the area again. While yes, it was rather diverse it was also very chaotic as well. "Yeah, it's something alright." He muttered to himself as Zen started his attack which was two simple energy slashes. He moved his head to the side as his horn began to lite and as he moved his head to the opposite side a green horizontal energy slash which was slightly bigger than Zen's attacks which would cause them all to explode.

Not missing a beat, Zen continued his flying arch until he simply vanished behind the disruption caused by the explosion. Before the smoke would have a chance to clear and show that he was no longer there, Zen was halfway out of a new tear behind Blade and swinging one of his swords upwards at Blade's back in-between his wings. Zen didn't expect the attack to land, but better to keep on the offensive and such.

Blade waited for a few moments as he readied himself for Zen to continue his advance. The unicorn's body started to glow in a green energy which would provide extra protect if needed. But when the dust cleared he wasn't there and after remembering his last few fights with Zen he guessed that his opponent would appear behind him.

Sadly, he didn't have time to prepare on this for more than second as Zen appeared behind him. He added some more energy into his barrier so it would get thicker and started to expand as Zen went to cut him.

Zen's grin widened as the only maneuver Blade preformed was to strengthen his barrier. Though the smile had a slight falter as his sword barely managed a cut past the force of the barrier, just barely worse than a paper cut.

With his first little surprise attack foiled, and the portal he'd used to get behind Blade closing, Zen bounded back. Pushing off of Blade with his hind hooves, Zen soared away from him and towards the south where the floating islands drifted lazily through the open air. "Heh, c'mon Blade. Let's keep this interesting," Zen taunted as he flew away.

Blade smirked a bit at Zen's comment. "Lets." He said to himself and was sure that Zen couldn't hear him from the distance between them. The armored pony started to run which might have have Zen think he was going to try to catch up on hoof. Once, he reached top-speed he jumped into the air and quickly created a jet under himself. The jet lacked a cockpit and had four wings to keep itself up as it shot through the sky. "Interesting enough!" He yelled as he started to close the gap between him and Zen.
((Sorry, for the wait ))

"Oh, new trick?" Zen asked as he turned about and spotted the quickly approaching jet. "Try a few of mine!" Zen yelled out in an attempt to be heard as swung one of his two sickle swords. The runes on the one he swung were glowing a light blue and as the sword was brought through the air, a blade of energy launched off it. The attack trailed ice in the air, hinting towards an elemental augment on the energy based attack.

That one energy blade was quickly followed by several more as Zen continued to swing the one sickle sword about as he continued flying backwards.

While the stallion managed to dodge the first attack there was no way for him to do the same for the others. So, Blade altered his construct to allow the formation of a small turret to form underneath his plane. The thing fired small burst of energy at the slashes that came towards him to cause them to explode and allow for an opening to move away from another slash. Once, he finally got to avoid the last slash he turned the turret into a small missile that was aimed at Zen.

If the stallion was paying attention to Blade he could notice that being in a midair was not something his opponent was used to. This construct would obviously require more energy than barrier since the power to create the plane along with the addition to the consumption of both keeping the thing moving and firing the turret. This was probably the reason why Blade, once he fired the missile, dashed over to the nearest floating island. His gazed was noticeably still on the pegasus as he continued to see where his missile was going since he was about a few miles away from the island.

"Hehehe, now Blade, you should know better!" Zen yelled as the projectile flew towards him. With a quick upwards slash, a new pair of portals were opened, the first obviously near Zen, and the second a bit away but pointed towards Blade. The missile flying simply into the first portal, and emerged pointed towards Blade and sailing towards the new target. Zen meanwhile flew parallel to Blade's path towards the floating island.

*Hanna was dressed in a looser attire with fingerless gloves and combat boots* I hope he shows up because I want to prove I am stronger

Sword arrived as Hanna had requested, hands bare, dressed in simple attire, standing across from Hanna at a distance of 10 feet, bowing slightly and then settling into stance. "Please, begin at your leisure miss."

Blade only groaned as the missile was redirected at him. He should have known that Zen would have done that, but still it didn't mean the thing was going to hit. The thing split into ten pieces and moved around Blade and towards their original together and all of them going into different directions to came at Zen at different places.

"Hehahaha!" Zen laughed about as the missile pieces redirected themselves towards him. With a quick slash of a single sword, Zen created a new portal that he quickly dived into and sealed shut, just before the missile fragments would have hit him. With him disappearing as such, the missiles would slam into each other, exploding in the open air.

Blade wouldn't have long to wait though, as Zen's laughing sounded out to the left and slightly behind him as one of the rune covered swords was swung, tearing itself out of the pocket dimension as it traveled towards Blade in an arcing slash.

Blade caught a glimpse as Zen slashed open a new portal and knew the missiles were going to miss, but didn't try to stop them from hitting each other. Instead he let them have impact instead of making them stop, which would take more energy, and waited for Zen to strike. Luckily, Blade had accidentally made his jet go above the tree line or else his construct would have crashed as the moved over the island when Zen attacked.

The brief laughter gave the stallion a heads up for where the attack was coming from and an extra second for prepare for an alteration to his plane. Soon, the sword that was swung at him was wrapped in a slime-like substance. The thing began to spread to the hilt of sword which would take a moment or two to do, but would still hold if the sword jiggled around it.

With the attack subsided, Zen spilled the rest of the way out of the pocket dimension ready to swing his other blade while continuing the attack, but the sight of his other sword and Blade still moving quickly on the weird craft gave him pause. Curious, Zen activated the runes along the blade, watching as the icy magic coated the blade of the sickle sword to see what would happen to the slime before it got too close to the guard.

Meanwhile, he also activated the runes along his other sword, electricity beginning to crackle along the blade as they built up magical energy. An eye keeping on Blade to see if he'd turn the jet back around and begin flying towards him.
