Equestria’s School for Protectors

It started a thousand years ago, with the banishment of Nightmare Moon. Some violent decades after the event, Celestia- as she could not handle the new political stress, the emerging Nightmare and Celestial cults, and the second surge of Grimm upon Equestria all on her own -founded a school in Canterlot to train ponies to protect the land. This school was called Celestia's Academy for Equestria's Protectors, or just Celestia's Academy for short. This school was meant to teach ponies not only how to fight the Grimm, but of the value of teamwork, friendship, and Love.

Two more Academies were founded some time later: Dust Academy in Southern Equestria, and Torch Academy in Northern Equestria. All the Academies have the same goals, but they are still quite different.

Your OCs will be going to Celestia’s Academy. You will need to decide on battle outfit, weapon(s) (Deviantart has quite the variety of weaponry), and Semblance (every creature with a soul has an Aura and a Semblance), and you'll need to list them along with linking character sheets. If there are problems or questions I will talk with you personally and try to work it out. Students must be 18 or older, potential exceptions must be discussed.

The OC I'm signing up will be Wild Card


Semblance: Wild can create solid clones of his personalities, each wielding their own personal weapon. However, he can only create ten at a time as two minds need to stay in the main body, and these clones can only fight in melee combat. The clones can also only take one or two hits before dissipating and returning the mind controlling it back to Wild, normally in an irritated mood, but Wild can call back the clones at any time. Wild can also give himself speed boosts by having the clones throw him forwards. Wild calls this "Full House".

Weapons: A white bladed tonfa on the left arm, with all four card symbols etched into the metal in their respective colours, which doubles as a scabbard for an ornately designed black long-sword with intricate lines of colour throughout the blade and all along the edge of the blade, the pommel of the sword is also shaped like the Diamonds symbol. The lines of colour are actually free-flowing Dust, which Wild can change himself and cause the weapon to deal damage identical to the Dust he has chosen. The tonfa itself can fold its back half forwards to make a small hand-held sawn-off shotgun, as both ends of the tonfa have one shotgun barrel, whereas the sword's cross-guard is where a revolver is housed, and the blade retracts into the hilt if need be. Wild will also occasionally sheathe the sword in the tonfa and wield both as one larger weapon, though this is a slower method of fighting and used mainly if the quicker, lighter strikes aren't working - the only dust that can be used in this method is flame. The sword is named Blaze when sheathed, but when unsheathed it becomes The King of Diamonds, and the tonfa is simply named Dealer.

Armor or preferred clothing: Wild always wears his black suit, blue waistcoat, white shirt, blue bow-tie, black trousers, smart black shoes and his beloved top hat, which can store anything inside of it. As for armour, Wild wears light leather greaves, bracers, gauntlets and chestpiece underneath all his clothing, to give him slight protection but not prohibit his quick movement. He mainly falls back on his Aura to protect him.

Well, I think I will use Pariah Farcry for this thread, though he'll be 20, and some of the events that occur in his history will have been edited.

Semblance: Pariah's semblance manifested after the bridge incident, with the Nightwings (instead of changelings) attacking them, and one cutting both his arms off. With his aura linked to the pocket dimension he created when he was a youth, Pariah's semblance is his ability to shift parts, or even his entire body, out of reality. In effect, this means a blow that would have otherwise struck him instead passes right through him with no damage whatsoever. However, using this ability does take a chunk out of his aura, generally at roughly 8% of his starting total. Further, using it too often will cause actual physical damage to him. His semblance is also rather unique in that he can use it without aura, though doing so causes great physical damage. Shifting his entire body also has consequences, as it will drain almost all his available aura, and inflict yet more damage to his body.

Weapon: Pariah's new arms are a marvel of modern technology, made of a mixture of steel and titanium. Each one is a weapon in its own right, each finger ending in a claw and each arm stronger than a normal stallion by a decent amount. They also mean he punches harder, as unlike a normal stallion, he doesn't feel pain, and therefore does not slow his punches. (This is, as far as I'm aware, an actual thing. Look it up.) Further, for whenever Pariah engages in hand to hand melee, he can produce a pair of what are effectively arm blades.

However, Pariah is not a hand to hand fighter, instead preferring to use a bow and arrows from range. To this end, his left arm is constructed to expand into a longbow, whilst his right is capable of producing arrows for him to use. In doing so, they allow Pariah to stand at the back of a fight and rain arrows upon his foes to impunity. These arrows , whilst unable to bend or change course, can be affected by his semblance, though doing so costs him both aura, and will cause him pain. The benefits, in his eyes at least, outweigh the risk, as it means he is able to fire arrows that slide through walls, armour and even allies on their path to his target.

Finally, both his arrows and his arms can be infused with dust, and though made of metal, his robotic arms are insulated to prevent electrical feedback, which would otherwise course through his body and kill him.

Armour/Preferred clothing: Pariah, when on school grounds, will wear the full school uniform, including trousers. However, when outside, he wears an outfit consisting of combat pants and a long hooded jacket with a variety of pockets.

I'm going with Dream Sickle, for this thread, she is 19, if she can breathe snow or not it up to you.

Semblance: Sickle semblance will be based on her ice ability. In which she can use to slow down her target speed.( but can't freeze them.) While also giving herself a little speed boost. In which gives her (or her allies) the time to hit first or dodge the attack. She could even slow down herself. (If she was falling. she could slow down and land softer.)

Weapons.  Her weapons will be dual kamas Name Cold & Cool, 
The also double as pistol blasters with the barrel coming from the blades and the triggers being on the handle. the blasters use ice dust as ammo. Which she normal keeps a spare case or two on her person. 

Armor. When she not on a mission, she'll wear jeans and navy blue hoodie with white headphones around her neck. (if portable music is still canon.)
In combat, she'll be in her light weight armor (which is light blue and gray.) with padded elbows, shoulder, knees, and stomach area. Giving her a more freedom to move around and stuff. She also has a pair of goggles around her neck. In a case of sand or snow.

I'm once again throwing Aerv Xereth at this.

Semblance: Aerv will be able to use different kinds of dragon breath apart from his regular fire breath. The other kinds would be ice, water and electric.

Weapons: Aerv's weapon will be a large version of assault rifle, using 20mm bullets. While the rifle itself has a large recoil, in Aerv's strong dragonic hands the recoil is next to none, allowing him to be very accurate with it. The rifle of course shoots slower than the regular assault rifle thanks to its caliber, but can be filled with two different bullets: armor-piercing or high-explosive, depending on situation.

Melee version of this rifle would be an ultra greatsword (bigger, heavier version of regular greatsword). Aerv can also add a buff to it with his breath (make it on fire, be freezing cold or electric) for a short duration.

Armour or preferred clothing: Xereth almost always wears his goggles and green scarf, along with a grey-ish blue long cloak, leaving holes for his wings. Underneath said cloak he wears cargo shorts (useful pockets are useful) and a blue tank top, color almost similar to his scales. In case of combat, he adds a thick chest armor of the same colour.

Alright, signing up Sunshine. (second one down) I'm gonna age her down a bit for this one. She's gonna be 21. Also, severely outdated sheet is outdated.

Semblance: Sunny's semblance allows her to manipulate the light around her and absorb it for later use. She can then use the absorbed light for multiple uses, such as making swords and shields out of hardlight, or powering her weapon with it.

Weapon: Sunshine's weapon is a rifle that fires concentrated beams of energy, powered by her semblance. If she can't power it directly, then she has spare magazines for it. The energy can either be a standard beam, or charged with Dust for different effects.

The rifle can also turn into a longsword. The sword can glow, based on whether or not it's charged with energy or Dust. If it's just charged with normal light energy, the glow is purely cosmetic, but if it's charged with Dust, it can use the effect of that Dust when attacking.

Armor or preferred clothing: Sunny's an odd one, and for some reason prefers to wear a maid uniform. Whether or not that uniform has any armor with it is completely up to her.

OC Name: Viridian Rain

Semblance: Viridian's semblance is to draw upon her wide and immensely varied collection of blades to deliver what would appear to the enemy to be an endless flurry of blows from the weapons. The precise order and form varies immensely and can be literally any bladed weapon in existence; in one way or another, Viridian has collected them all.

Weapon: Viridian's weapon is a long pole arm, a naginata in fact, that transforms into its heavy recoilless rifle counterpart by flipping the head down to provide a bracing point against the recoil. The recoilless rifle is a 30mm 100-round drum-fed weapon utilizing a 50/50 API-T/JHP mix.

Preferred Clothing/Armor: Viridian wears a pair of heavy leather gloves with a nomex coating and a chainmail covering. Over a pair of kevlar-woven jeans and long-sleeve t-shirt she wears a head-to-toe coat of mail with metal guards attacked over the rigid parts of her body (thighs, both sections of her arms, chest, etc).

OC: Diamond Mind

Semblance: It hasn't manifested yet, as his aura is too weak.

Weapon: Diamond Mind doesn't rely on weapons, as he and his family find them unreliable. Instead, they carve 'channels' into their skin to channel and infuse dust through themselves in an archaic form of 'magecraft'. Using such techniques, the user's body becomes a weapon in and of itself, and it allows them to easily make weapons from dust too.

Preferred Clothing: Diamond wears a set of reinforced cargo pants for carrying dust containers around, along with a poncho style of garb to cover his upper torso unless he needs to use dust.

OC Name: Razor Back

Semblance: Blind Fury; Razor Back's semblance encases her in a shield of magnified aura for several seconds, making her virtually indestructible for the brief period it lasts; however the shield itself is opaque and thus blinds Razor while she uses it and when the shield is over Razor's aura will be significantly depleted.

Weapons: Razor Back carries two long swords that she uses as her primary weapons; her lefthand sword is etched with runes designed primarily for breaking magical defenses and resisting attempts to disarm it via magic, while the right-hand sword is enchanted with various spells to make it supernaturally sharp, capable of slicing through solid concrete and steel (including other blades) much easier than should be possible.

The sword blades continue down into the hilts instead of stopping at the handle like most swords; they are designed to be able to extend and retract by several inches as needed, most prominently when Razor links the two hilts together to instead use her weapons as a twin-blade. While in twin-blade form her weapons blades are linked, thus applying the enchantments of both blades to each end of the twin-blade at the cost it being a more unwieldy weapon overall and detracting from Razor's balance and speed.

Preferred Clothes: Razor Back can usually be found in leather jackets, vests, denim and other forms of clothing typically associated with bikers when not on a mission, usually in either black or dark blue colours. During missions she wears a flak jacket for light protection as well as a face mask with a heads up display for both infrared and thermal vision.

I would like to join but know little to none about RWBY so must ask how important knowledge on the series is (Also I really should just sit down and watch the damn series seeing as it is easily available)
