Breaking Quarantine

once at the meeting spot she found a spot out the way to sit and kept her eyes open, also surveying the area for 'opportunities'.

Star and Diamond: The small room they were in had no bathroom, but a quick peak outside would show one just down the hall a short ways. The stallion however chose this moment to stir, starting off with a long stretch before turning over to look at the other two ponies in bed with him before throwing a glance at the gems on the stand. "Ah, it was a pleasure, doing, business with you two," the stallion said as he got out of the bed and scooped the gems into a small bag that had been hiding inside a pocket of his outfit. The stallion then began to put back on his outfit to leave the room himself.

Sky: "Yer early, good sign," came a gruff voice from Sky's side as Stalwart walked up. He studied her outfit for a moment before letting out a grunt. "So yeh changed the outfit some, might work. So why's a harpy not trying to kill us? And where's the rest of yer flock?"

"well, its probably the best to say it, i did it for survival. my group was all massacred so goin' back would have been death. the only reason joined those fuckers was to survive, not easy when you loose literally lose the last fuck you could trust, i dont even know if she's even still ok, she could be one of those monsters for all i know, and a group like the harpys, info moves fast so i felt if she was to be found i'd know, turns out not. when i hit the wall i saw those guys and realised something, it was a chance to leave, or at least leave the harpys. besides, if i started on them when i first 'met' them i would of been heatherly outnumbered, but anyway i'm now left with the decision, stick with you lot and maybe leave, or keep looking for her." she shook her head, and looked to the stallion "im not a bad mare, i'm just trying to survive in a roofless and destroyed world, and if i wanted to kill you or these ponies id have done it while i was in prime. as for where the shit they are, no clue, i think they went to some tavern down the way from me so i didn't see them before i headed here, and if they are competent they should arrive at some point without being too late" she finished hoping she had explained herself well enough.

"You look better." Star muttered to Diamond as he climbed off the bed. He let out a little whimper before rolling off the bed himself. He landed on his hooves and stretched his wings and hooves. He looked at the waiter for a moment before looking down at his hooves. "Yeah whatever." He muttered quietly as he trotted to the door of the room. He peeked his head out of the room, looking down the hallway. He then trotted down the hall to the bathroom to clean himself up.

A few long minutes later, Star walked back into the room and over to his stuff. He slid on his armor then slung on his saddle bags and tightened the strap on it. He moved around just a bit to make sure he but his armor on correctly before strapping on his sword. After a moment of fiddling with the strap and making sure it was comfortable, he sat down on the ground and waited for Diamond to finish anything he was going to finish.

Diamond chuckled at the Server. "Thank you for the meal." He threw his jacket onto his back, watching Star leave to got clean up. He waited a bit, enjoying his own healthier form. When Star got back, he kissed the stallion on the cheek, then left for the bathroom down the hall, going to clean himself up.

When Diamond finished cleaning up in the bathroom, he came back to the room. He picked up a rag and dried himself off, then looked over Star's sword. "Hey, on the way to the meeting place, can I borrow your sword? I'm going to need to it for a few minutes."

Star and Diamond: With another little flirtatious chuckle, the server finally departed to rejoin the slowly growing commotion of the tavern common area below. That left the two of them, after each had gone and returned from the bathroom, in the room alone for the moment, and no signs of being disturbed. The time however was steadily drawing closer to when they were supposed to meet back up with Stalwart and Sky.

Sky: "Woah, I didn't ask for yer life story and frankly, I don't really give a shit about it," Stalwart said as he stomped his hoof. "And don't think you could kill me that easily ya damned harpy. I've been surviving in this hell hole jus' as long as you have, and we both know there's far scarier things in here than either of us," Stalwart spat out as he sat down. He began going over some of the straps and buckles that held his armor and weapons on, making sure he was ready to depart when they did.

"then why the hell ask, i told you why i haven't attacked the others, i've told you all i needed to tell you know less, i was trying to lay down some trust!.. i don't know why i thought you would understand, how would you. look i don't trust you and i'm sure you hardly trust me but lets make this simple, we both need as much help as we can get to achieve our goals. i'll work alongside you for both our sakes but theres one thing.." she looked up and glared daggers at him, her eyes both turned pink and the pink in her mane took over more of her head "don't ever talk to me like that again or ill cut your balls off feed them to you, use your dick as a gag and where your intestines like a feather bower.." she said as a smile grew wider and wider, twisted and more twisted. she closed her eyes when she was done, they turn blue behind her eyelids, her mane turned more blue than pink and she opens her eyes, as her smile turned less twisted and more soft.

Star raised an eyebrow at Diamond. "You...need my sword? For what?" He asked tilting his head to the side. He then thought about it for a moment then shrugged a little. "I suppose you can use my straight sword for whatever it is you need." He said as he got up and walked to the door. He stepped out into the hallway and kept the door open for Diamond to walk out. "Though now you have me curious. What can you possibly need my sword for? Surely there must be someway for you to do whatever it is you need to do without a sword. And um...We should hurry. I'd rather not have Stalwart leave me here without any way of knowing where things are around this city." He said as he speed walked down the hallway back towards the tavern.

Diamond chuckled at Star tilted his head at him. He followed the thestral out the door, yawning. "Well, I need to see your sword so that I can replicate it." He was very nonchalant in how he spoke, treating replication like an everyday thing. "Give me a second..." He stretched a bit, moving a bit faster to keep up with Star. "I'm going to replicate your sword so I can have a weapon to defend myself, that's all."

Star and Diamond: Back down in the tavern, the crowd wasn't nearly as big as it was last night, with many of the patrons supposedly still sleeping in these morning hours. There was however still a decent crowd and many of which were eating some kind of porridge. The smell of which was almost thick in the room, right along with what smelled like a cinnamon spiced ale.

Sky: "You don't know my goals or reasons, so bargaining won't do shit for ya with me. And you don't scare me ya over-zealous hag, so you can stop trying to be scary," Stalwart commented back without even a moments hesitation to the threats.

"HAG!?" she exclaimed as she got up "how fucking dare you! you selfrichuse fucker, you don't know me you shit!" she shouts. "your such a fucker you didnt even give me a chance, so fuck you, i may not always be the nicest but atleast i give shit heads like you a chance" she walks at him and stops less than a foot away her eyes back to pink but this time they stayed that way as she drew her 6" folded knife, purposely visible with her mana transmitter.

Star looked at Diamond for a moment. "Replicate it? You can replicate it?" He said then shook his head a little. "Of course you can replicate it. You have a horn and magic. Magic is weird." He muttered to himself, walking through the tavern. He paused for a moment and took in the smells of the area before letting out a sigh and smile. He continued to make his way out of the tavern. "So replicating my sword. Alright fine, I'll bite." He said has he grabbed his sword and handed it over to Diamond.

Diamond chuckled at Star again as they continued towards the exit of the tavern. "Magic is simple enough. Most earth ponies, with some minor assistance, could perform replication. It's a sort of...primal magic...Unicorns have been using it for the longest time...in fact, when we created tools, unicorns created a way to have a larger supply of tools." He followed Star out of the tavern, levitating the sword with telekinesis. An identical sword formed next to the first one, and Diamond, satisfied with his work, returned Star's blade to within it's sheath. Diamond simply placed the sword in a pocket dimension for further use. "I could teach you it if you want~"

Star and Diamond: As the two reached the door to the tavern, another pony bumped into them quite solidly, knocking all three to the ground. "Hey, watch where yo- oh, no, no, I'm sorry about that, I'm just, argh," the stallion said in a jumble of words as he tried to pick up some of the things he'd dropped. Most of which looked like various techno-magical technology, but none of it seemed to have direct purpose. "You two, actually you two might be able to help me. Would you want to make some bi- no, wait.... crystals! Yes, that's what's traded here, yes. Would you two want to make some crystals?" The stallion suddenly asked. He was scarcely dressed in a scientist lab coat and a set of saddlebags. "Or, or, or maybe a new weapon?"

Sky: "I didn't shoot ya, that not enough of a chance?" Stalwart rebutted still not threatened by the drawn blade. "Course now I'm starting to think I was too damn lenient back then and could of saved myself one hell of a headache now," Stalwart said back as he brandished the rune cannon he had on his side, more than showing he was ready.

Star listened to Diamond explain magic to him. He then watched his sword be returned to it's scabbard. He was about to answer the changeling's question when a pony suddenly bumped into him. He fell down onto his hunches, shaking his head. He looked at the pony who had bumped into him and Diamond as he picked up his stuff. "Eh?" He said, tilting his head to the side in confusion. He had to admit, this pony was kinda weird. But then again that could just be something with scientist. He also raised an eyebrow when he almost said bits. That was....curious. Surly this pony had been in here long enough to know crystals were the currency here right? He shook his head a little as his ears perked up as the scientist said a new weapon. "A new weapon? Wait....What help do you need?" And will it be fast... He added mentally as he looked around, hoping to see Stalwart.

"no! i get that its suspicious i'm not a moron, but if i wasn't attacking them why in equestria would i be a threat!" she put away the knife, her eyes turned gold but she still seemed annoyed, she swung her forehoof to the barrel of the gun in an attempt to restrain it, holding it with her mana transmitter first before her hood aswell so even if she missed the first time it wouldn't still be a risk, she wouldn't have the same strengh in the magic form as her actual self but it would be enought to keep it pointed away from her and hold it steady so she could reach it. "lets not let this escalate further hmm?" she said as he did this

Diamond let out an 'oof!' as the pony crashed into him and Star, knocking Diamond to the ground. He soon stood up after catching his breath, glaring at the pony as he explained himself. "A new weapon or some crystals eh?" He considered this for a little while, thinking on what he should do. "Well sir, what do you need us to do?"

Star and Diamond: "I would need both of you, and maybe whoever else you'd bring with you, to help in reaching my lab," the scientist replied with a slight stutter. "I've tried before, but I've no ability with a gun, and even less with a blade and find myself deterred every attempt. But if I can get there, I can resume my research and give my latest.... prototype rune cannon to you, for your assistance!" the stallion replied quickly.

Sky: "I think it's already pretty escalated," Stalwart gruffly replied as he shoved the gun out of Sky's grip. He'd blatantly seen the changes in eye and mane color, and that left him with only one assumption as to what Sky was. "And I don't need to be risking my life in the company of barely controlled Lost," he grumbled out while turning away and beginning to walk away from the entrance. "They're going to the old magi-tech tower. You and that other thing should know how to get there, I'm out," Stalwart said as he departed.

"You're lab?" Star thought about it for a moment. They'd get a prototype rune cannon out of it...but it was definitely not fast. But it might be on the was to the old Magi-tech tower. He tapped a hoof against his muzzle as he thought about it. He glanced at Diamond for a moment before shrugging. "Err...But where is your lab?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. It was a rather important question after all. They couldn't really help escort the scientist to his lab if they didn't know where it was. He also really really hoped it was somewhere near where he was going.

"lost?!" she exclaimed, but gave up quickly befor going back to her earlier spot, this time more grumpy that prier. she stayed sitting there looking around hoping for some item being left behind or being in a easily pinched place.

Star and Diamond: "It's a little ways to the east," the scientist replied looking back and forth between the two. "I can go with you to show the way," he continued while already beginning to walk towards the safe-zone entrance.

Sky: Stalwart didn't reply, or even register Sky saying anything as he continued walking away. A short distance from Sky, the market was picking up slowly. Ponies were beginning to get to work bartering their wears or getting ready to head out for scavenge. The traffic was picking up steadily, and soon there were some ponies even passing by Sky to exit the zone.

Star nodded to the scientist. "I think that would be for the best." He then poked Diamond in the shoulder. "Come on. We should find out where Stalwart and...errr...Sky went." He said as he trotted off to head to the meeting point they had all decided to meet at. He looked behind him to make sure Diamond and the scientist were following. "Oh yeah. And what's your name? I'm Star Sentinel and my...err...friend here is Diamond." He said with a slight smile at the scientist. He kinda didn't want to call the scientist sir, mister, and scientist the way to his lab.

sky simply gave up on the idea of changing his mind and instead relaxed at the meeting point, keeping her eyes open for any gun stalls in the market, fluttered up abit to get a better look at things while also finding a place to sit.

"My name isn't important, but if you must call me something, Arc will work," the scientist said as he followed. It wouldn't take any of the three long to reach the other member of their little group, flying up overhead. And Sky would be able to readily see them as well as they approached. Regardless of whether or not the others stopped, Arc would continue onward towards the exit. "Hurry up will you, I've been away from my work for far too long already."

Star looked at Arc with a raised eyebrow but then shrugged. "Okay Arc." He saw Sky where they were suppose to meet and stopped next to her. He looked around and frowned. "Damn...Me and Diamond must have been to slow for Stalwart." He sighed a little and looked at Sky. "Me and Diamond have a scientist we're gonna bring back to his lab. You can come with if you want." He said with a shrugged then turned to Arc when he told him to hurry up. He rolled his eyes and trotted after Arc. "Yeah, yeah. Your lab would happen to be anywhere near the old magitech building would it?" He said with a raised eyebrow as he followed the scientist. He did have a reason for coming into this place in the first place after all. He'd best not forget it because of a little side task.
