Wayward Souls (private)

"um... are you ok, what have you lost" she said carmishly.

"My friend Petrokiv, he looks kinda like that," Brim said pointing towards a small boulder. "Only kind of different like..." he trailed off trying to make a rough shape with his hooves which needless to say wasn't going well. After a few more moments of frantic searching, Brim let out a sigh. "I must have left him behind, oh I hope he isn't too mad. Maybe Cerberus'll keep him company?" Brim asked towards Lightning.

"come on then lets go" she said.

Brim still seemed a little distraught over the loss of Petrokiv, but reluctantly followed after the mare. "Hey, what's your name?" Brim asked after a few moments of following the mare.

"lightning blast, so your from a bound of tautarus?" she said curiously

"Ye-yeah, I think? That's where I lived if that's what you're asking," Brim replied while he was taking in the scenery as they walked to wherever Lightning was leading them. That location however didn't seem to be a concern of Brim's as he was too busy looking at everything around the,.

lightning smiled and got to an inn. "here we are"

"What is this place?" Brim asked looking up at the wooden building with interest. Tentatively, he reached out a hoof and, lightly tapped on the walls, testing how sturdy such a structure was and was mildly surprised when his hoof actually met resistance.

"its a place with food drink and a bed, trust me these places are great" she said smiling

"Food?" Brim repeated curiously just moments before his stomach growled. With his face contorting from the discomfort of having eaten nothing...ever, he looked over to Lightning for an explanation as to what one thing was and why the other thing was doing what it was doing.

lightning began with "you see every living thing needs energy~", and ended the 1 hour long lecture and test with "~and that's why you must eat food" skipping no detail on the way, she smiled and opend the door for him.

Brim was left slack jawed again, though this time his head had a slight tilt and he'd had to sit down from the onset of information that had just assaulted him. Even though he didn't really understand it, the curiously good smells coming in from the open door were strangely inviting to the demon, and he almost hypnotically walked in.

The inside of the inn was a typical scene, where ponies were either sitting at the bar having stronger drinks, playing cards at various tables, or sitting in small groups just having a good time. This all attributed to quite the racket, which was all the stranger why it'd suddenly go quiet while Lightning was still outside. when she would walk in, she'd see just about every patron in the bar staring at the two horned, winged, and pointy tailed demon pony that just walked in the front door. Some had worried expressions, while others seemed on the verge of drawing weapon or casting spells. Either way, the scene didn't seem to bother Brim who was simply continuing to trot up to the bar where the chef was coming dangerously close to burning what he was cooking since his attention was also on the demon.

lightning followed close and gave everyone a look that shouted "touch him and ill make your body in worse condition than my own" and she closed here gap with brim.

The look Lightning shot deterred some, but a majority kept their eyes on the pair. Brim however was still oblivious to most of it and was busy trying to figure out how to sit at the bar. After a few attempts and looking at the other ponies, much to their dismay, he got the hang of it and was happily sitting in the stool looking back and forth for the source of the smell.

lightning still looking mor intimidating than the demon did sat beside him and ordered a huge course of food.

Brim kept looking around at the various ponies, a few more of which were going back to what they were doing, but there were some eyes that continued to linger. The barkeep however did take the order and soon the cook was hard at work fixing up the multitude of dishes.

While the food was cooking, Brim finally noticed the multitude of stares and the hostility behind them. Lowering himself slightly, Brim looked over to Lightning. "Why are they looking at me like that?"

"they are idiots, forget about them, look the foods nearly done" she said trying to destract him, and at those words the food was brought over. "try watever you like dont worry about it" she said before getting up and somewhat reveling a big and raver nasty looking gun at her side under her cloak, making sure those that stared saw.

The threat of the weapon would have it's own consequences or not, for now it was uncertain. Brim however was very thoroughly distracted with the appearance of the food. Curiously he sniffed at a sandwich on a plate. With some hesitation, Brim lifted the entire ensemble, parted his pointy toothed maw, and took a bite plate and all.

After chewing the mix of dishware and sandwich, Brim struggled down the first bite and looked back at it with a mixed expression. Then Brim looked at some of the other patrons and noticed that they were picking up the stuff off of the plate and then eating just that.

So it was with once more wide curious eyes that Brim lifted up the just the sandwich and took a bite, showing that his teeth hadn't been damaged at all despite eating part of a dish moments before. Either way, this time as he chewed the morsel, it was with some unabated joy that shone through the demon's eyes. Almost greedily, he continued to gobble down bite after bite until the last one was gone, and then wasted little time in grabbing a second one.

lightning blast, hoping she had scared them enough sitting down next to the gorging demon. and smiled wile looking at him. "you ok?" she asked, keeping her one eye on the crowd.

"Phhine," Brim responded around the mouthful he currently had. Swallowing back what he had, Brim looked towards one of two mugs brought out for them. Since he'd been stealing more glances at the tavern folk, he roughly knew how to drink from the cup, though he was a little sloppy with it. After washing down the first part of his meal, Brim turned happily towards Lightning with a fresh roll clasped in his hooves. "Does this mean we're friends?" Brim asked suddenly with a hope filled smile.

"a'corse" she said with a smile.

Brim stopped his eating to look at Lightning with wide almost glistening eyes. "Yay! Now I've got 4 friends!" Brim stated happily before grabbing some hay fries and trying them.

she giggled, grabbed a drink and turnd on the chair to face the other patrons.

Lightning would turn right into one of the other bar patrons. A tall earth pony by the looks of it, his orange coat covering a mountain of pony and muscle. The grey maned pony glared down at the two, though Brim seemed oblivious, and spoke. "What is 'that'," he asked pointing towards Brim, "and why shouldn't we kick you two out?" Flanking the big pony was another massive earth pony on one side and a pegasi on the other.

"and what did he do to to you to make you kick us out... you are being a hypocrite, you are trying to intimidate me, thus being a bully, when the very thing you are complaining about is doing the exact opposite, think about what you are doing next time... and if you try something i will be forced to fight you all off.. so just leave him be kay?" she said, lightning new the fret but also knew she had the 'capability' to stop them.
