Nightmares don't always end when you wake up. They can slip from your mind for a few months and maybe years, but the nightmare never ends. It will make your remember one way or another, and you will never outlive it. For Luna, there is one nightmare she can never wake up from. A nightmare that will haunt her for her eternal life. She maybe the princess of the night who helps others with their nightmares, but she has no one to help her from her own nightmares.
The past year have been eventful for all of Equestria. It started with Nightmare Moon coming back and getting defeated by the Elements of Harmony. Luna was made co-ruler once more and Ponyville celebrated with a big party. Then a few months later, Discord escapes and causes chaos throughout Equestria. Once Discord was turned back to stone, a wedding happens between Shining Armor, captain on the royal guard, and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. During the wedding, the changelings revealed themselves and attacked all the ponies of Canterlot. Once again, the threat was defeated and another rose it it's place. News about the Crystal Empire and King Sombra returning reached Celestia, and as usual she sent the mane six to defeat the problem. After the Empire was returned to it's former glory, Twilight Sparkle was made and alicorn and princess. Everyone in Equestria cheered for the new princess...All except one pony.
When Luna had been returned to her sister, she was so very weak and fragile. She had only a fraction of her full magic. Poor little Luna hid away in her room, only coming out when her sister was nearby. She did her best to raise the moon and put the stars in the right place, but there was something missing. She couldn't explain it, but she just knew there was something missing. She stayed away from the shadows and lit a candle in her room during the night, and during the morning she hid under her blanket. She felt there was something within the shadows, but whenever she looks around her room, there was nothing.
After her first week of returning, Luna heard quiet whispers. They were telling her something, something she should know. They told her what was happening around her in the outside world. Luna did always check to see if what the whispers say were true, and she was surprised they were. As the weeks went on, the whispers began to lie more. They began twisting Luna’s mind into their own nightmare. A nightmare everypony in Equestria will remember very soon. The whispers soon took a hold of Luna’s sweet and fragile heart. The cast shadows on Luna and made her do things that she would never had done if she was in the right. One of those things she was made to do would be what Celestia has to deal with in her day court.
Celestia had her hooves full with filling out missing pony reports. It was odd for Celestia, because
her guards and only her guards were the ponies going missing. Luna’s own guards weren’t helping in looking for the missing ponies. They would shrug it off as nothing and go back to guarding Luna. Celestia became more suspicious, and began to linger around the castle during the night. She thought that maybe Luna had something to do with this, but she wished to prove herself wrong and stay near Luna’s bed chambers. She heard Luna talking to somepony...No. Some
thing.
As days passed by, and the missing solar guard count went up. Celestia’s elite soldier squad was added to those missing. Celestia began to worry not just for her guards, but for Luna as well. She had proof that Luna was involved in the missing guards, but she didn’t want other ponies to know. She had tried to talk to Luna and get something out of her, but Luna said that there was nothing wrong with her.
A week passed, and still no lead on where the missing guards were. Luna’s mental condition was worse than before. With each passing day, she slowly turned back to her old nightmarish self. Celestia was getting desperate with helping Luna stay away from Nightmare, but the day came. The moon rose from the horizon while the sun was still in the middle of the sky. Ponies of Equestria panicked, immediately noticing that the moon spread a darkness on half of Equestria while the sun cast a warm light on the other half. They couldn’t move the moon and sun and so it was day and night all the time. Luna took her lunar guards and the other solar guards she corrupted and went to the darker side of Equestria, where there was a castle waiting for them. The remaining solar guards of Celestia quickly evacuated the ponies on the lunar side of Equestria. Those not willing to go to Celestia the Tyrant’s side, fought the solar guards back.
Luna...No. Nightmare Moon had caused
a war between the ponies loyal to Celestia and the ponies loyal to the moon. Those loyal to Celestia volunteered to help defeat Nightmare as best as they can. They became un trained soldiers who risked their lives. Some became medics to help the wounded soldiers, but it was a lost cause to begin with. Celestia had to send the Elements after Nightmare. It was Equestria’s only hope. She sent a squad of actual trained guards with them.
They traveled for days, fighting monsters and hiking up mountains. All but one guard died on the way to the castle. The Elements and the one guard faced Nightmare’s soldiers, who were far more faster then any normal pony, and it didn’t help that they were tired from having to run from a beast that was outside Nightmare’s castle. Nightmare’s soldiers, ponies she took and corrupted, were magically enhanced. They were made faster, stronger, and sneakier than any pony. The one guard that had survived was easily killed but the enhanced soldiers, leaving the Element bearers to fend for themselves. Sadly, though, the elements were defeated and locked away in the dungeons of Nightmare’s castle. Their Elements of Harmony taken and stashed away in a secret location. They had no escape and need to be rescued.
Celestia recruited a group of brave ponies to venture to Nightmare’s castle and save the Elements. They are given a map, that was mapped out by one of the scouting squads, and supplies and armor so that they wouldn’t be killed immediately. These ponies were Equestria’s last hope to save the Elements and defeat Nightmare once and for all. They would need to get past the front lines, where most of the fighting was happening, and sneak their way to Nightmare’s castle.
Rules:
1) Absolutely no auto hitting, that just makes this RP no fun.
2) I really don’t want to put this here but, No Thestrals. Most of the thestrals would have probably been captured by Nightmare.
3) You can die, but I’ll try not to let you die. It’s no fun when you die.
4) Have fun and luna nobis custodit.
5) Group rules still apply.
