A Forgotten Tale [Private] Heartop2_zps56d14bf2

Neighagra Falls, one of the largest waterfalls within Equestria. The rushing sounds of it's fallings waters filled the ears of the many tourists that come year-round to visit. For what reason's do many ponies visit such a place? Just to take pictures? Surely, that can't be the only reason. For whatever the reason Neighagra Falls is a popular tourist attraction and many ponies and non-ponies alike come to witness it. Each day massive busses arrive to an area, where one can best see the entirely of the falls, at the bottom. There was another location at the top of the falls where tourists were taken to see the, what is claimed to be, one of the few greatest views in all of Equestria.

Like clockwork visitors came in the early morning, and left in the early-to-mid afternoons just before the sun started to go down. Busses came from all directions; Manehatten, Phillydelphia, Los Pegasus, Appleloosa, Ponyville, even the Crystal Empire. Though the kinds of tourists that this attracted were all sorts, from Ponies to Zebras to Griffons and so on. What made this place so special? Had Princess Celestia deemed it so? Princess Luna? In all honestly, no one really remembers why this place was so special.

Neighagra Falls located in the Northeast area of Equestria just past Hollow Shades. It was bright and early, a strong breeze, like normal, kicked through the air as it carried the spritz of the Neighagra Fall's water because of this a lot of tourists always wear a poncho whenever they get close to the fenced area of the bottom look, and getting on the boat ride that takes you closer to the waterfall. the busses parked in their usual spots and the tourists all coming off the busses to witness the vast gloriousness that is Neighagra Falls.

From the distance away a highly saturated raspberry red coated pony crossed the plains. His destination the Falls. Across his body there were several scars which revealed sky blue dried skin underneath. A long bushy tail that was comprised of two colored, raspberry red with sky blue highlights, his mane just the opposite of his tail. On his face were intricate looking tribal markings, which are quite often confused for tattoo's. His eyes sky blue and his overall appearance was quite androgynous. Over one ear he adorned a colorful flower of green with it's core being blue and with a rainbow colored ribbon attached to it. Around his neck was a high sky blue collar with a black neck scarf. Around his slender waist a black belt with gold rivets and a sky blue belt buckle.

He arrived to Neighagra Falls and joined amongst the crowd, though he was here for a different reason beyond just simply watching the water fall.

Coincidentally, a young mare happened to be standing next to him, seemingly both fixated on the falls and in her own mind at once. While she was only a couple years younger than him, she was obviously shorter than him; she was shorter than most mares, but again it was because she was not an adult yet. The mare's look was simple: her coat color was of fresh parchment, not covered by any clothes to speak of (something she still wasn't entirely used to). Her cutie mark was a white writing quill with black outlines. Her tail and mane were dark reddish-brown, with a blue stripe going through both. A simple, black ponytail holder held her mane back.

The mare's expression would either be considered stoic, or blank and empty; she usually wasn't one for facial expressions when she didn't feel it was necessary. Right now, socializing wasn't very close to the top of her to-do list, so she didn't bother to look as thoughtful or imaginative as she was actually being right now.

The mare moved closer to the railing to rest a foreleg on it, looking over the edge of the falls with an expression of apparent boredom and empty-mindedness, failing horribly to show the awe and slight dizziness she felt.

Of course something so small had gone unnoticed when it was next to the stallion. His cutie mark was a golden heart shaped lyre with three smaller golden heart shaped lyres floating around it. His gaze and his attention were mostly on the waterfall, so it was fairly easy for this mare to slip by without so much as a hello, but that didn't seem like it was going to be a problem when that mare wasn't in the slightest interested in interactions. Though he hadn't moved from his spot when the mare did. When she had gotten closer to the railing, it was when she had fallen within his vision.

His eyes for a moment shifted to her and focused, silently looking her up and down. Taking a careful moment to be aware of the details of this mare who stood close to the railing without a poncho. It's the likeliest of area's to get wet from the strong wind carrying the small droplets of water that splashed off the waterfall. It was kinda like standing in a soft sun shower. Other ponies in the area's were taking pictures and talking amongst themselves and standing about in small crowds.

He hadn't moved for more than a minute until some other pony spoke out. "Excuse me." This snapped the stallion out of his thoughts as he looked to the pony and stepped out the way and bowed his head. He spoke in a gentle sweet voice. "Oh, excuse me, I'm terribly sorry." the other pony only laughed and walked past him with his friends. His ear's dropped for a moment as he shifted his gaze back over to the mare from before.

In the next moment he began to walk up next to her, well not exactly next to her, but about a foot distance front her right side. He focused his gaze out to the water and gave a heartfelt serene smile.

Fantasy was starting to shiver. In hindsight, she should've donned a rain poncho. She lifted her head from the bottom of the falls and looked around briefly for a place to get ponchos. However, the place was quite crowded so she had trouble seeing much of anything that wasn't the falls themselves. She knew now that she should've searched for a place to get ponchos, but... didn't want to anymore. She'd probably make a fool of herself if she tried, and undoubtedly failed, to find ponchos. It would probably be easy to find, but that wouldn't make a difference to her. While it'd be obvious enough for a foal, she'd miss it a dozen times while wandering cluelessly and probably earning many mocking laughs from ponies who bothered to pay attention to her. In short, she'd rather deal with the potential hypothermia.

During her brief scan, she did spot the tall, bright red unicorn... pony, staring wistfully (right word?) at the falls. Many things about this pony held her attention: the height, the neon red coat, the equally-bright and almost-but-not-quite mismatched mane and tail, the skin-exposing scars that exposed... skin as blue as the blue in his mane and tail (that was pretty cool), and the equally-blue tribal-looking tattoos on the pony's face.

Fantasy quickly took her eyes off the pony, though; she didn't want to be rude, so she returned to minding her own business... and she remembered how bucking cold she was. She debated with herself if it'd be worth it to continue shivering at the railing to continue staring at the falls, or if she should leave until she'd warmed up again, possibly grab a snack. Were there cinnamon buns somewhere? Only one way to find out.

Somewhat stiffly, Fantasy moved from the railing and started searching for a relatively uncrowded, but still good-quality, snack place, brushing up against other ponies repeatedly but not paying any mind to it; she was used to moving through crowded places, so she knew light collisions, bumps, and brushes were inevitable, and figured ponies knew the same and automatically knew it was not intentional.

Heartstring wasn't bothered so much by the water that landed upon him from being so close to the railing. Of course he didn't plan on staying for so long by the railing either. While he stood there near the mare, he could just feel that something was off. Not life threateningly off, but off in the sense that someone was bothered by something. Heartstring was highly sensitive when it came to emotions and he usually is quite aware of how others feel around him, of course this isn't saying that he knows how they feel all the time. Just when the emotions are strong enough that it'd radiate off the body. It felt quite...anxious.

As he stood there his gaze shifted over to the mare when she had began to move. He kept his position and only watched her with his eyes as she stiffly moved away. As she moved further away that anxious feeling moved away as well. He turned his head to watch her move and he arched a brow as he watched her bump into others. He glanced back towards the Waterfall and then whispered to himself. "I still have some time."

He decided to follow after the small mare, of course he was more conscious of his surrounding's and courteous of others. So as he moved through the crowd, he'd lightly apologize to the tourist's he'd passed by and moved through more spacious opening's so that he didn't bump into others accidentally. His curiosity was getting the better of him and he wanted to find out why he felt that sensation from her and if he possibly could help her. Least that's how his mind was working right now. He did also have an entirely different objective for originally coming here.

Fantasy moved through the crowd quickly, scanning each building, shop, or whatever for anything relating to food. Preferably a snack place. Wasn't the healthiest idea, but she wasn't completely hungry; just snacky.

Though, it was getting harder and harder to move through the thick crowd, and she didn't want to keep bumping into ponies because she wasn't paying attention to them. She decided to wait a little while to continue searching for a snack place, and for now she'd just find a bench or something to sit on until some ponies had left the falls or gone back to their hotel rooms. Fortunately, while not easy, it wasn't difficult, either, to find an available spot on a bench.

Fantasy walked over to the bench, and sat. She waited.

There were a couple snack and food places there, this was just a tourist attraction spot, not a shopping mall so they had a small amount of stores, less than ten, in the area. They were mostly souvenir and varied types of food spots. A few were just information areas to meet the demand of the amount of tourists. It was never a pleasant thing when one would have to stand in line for a long time just to get a simple question answered. The day had only started, so many would still be around for quite sometime.

Though Heartstring was capable of navigating through the tough crowd fairly easy because he was attentive and spoke up when he needed to pass by. By the time she had found a bench to sit at Heartstring had arrived near by and looked around for a moment. Checking through the crowd to spot the one he had been following. It took him a moment to be able to spot her amongst the crowd just sitting there upon a bench.

He looked her over again and his ears lifted with attention, though the tips of his ears folded over as that's how they naturally fell. He gave a gentle smile as he made his way over to where the mare sat on the bench. "Greetings Miss..." his voice gentle and smooth as he held no hostility within his voice. "Are you fairing well?"
