Hooves in the Snow (Private with Star and Obsidian)

It was December 1st in the quaint town of Ponyville, with snow having already been brought from Cloudsdale and clouds been manufactured to keep the temperature low enough to keep the snow from melting.

A time of rest for most, critters and ponies alike. Yet some still found it hard to sleep.
"Come on Harry, Fluttershy already told you she has lots of honey for you when you wake up, waiting here isn't gonna make spring come by any faster." Oathbound said, pointing towards Harry the Bear's cave.
The large grizzly protested against this, doing paw-motions that only a few could understand. Living with Fluttershy had given him some clue to what the bear was saying, however. Nonetheless, he sighed. "Sometimes I think a mule would be more compliant." He said more to himself than anything. He glanced back at the cottage wherein the honey laid.
"Look you big lug, how about I give you one of the jars to persuade you to begin your hibernation? You're already late as it is."

Twinkle Star had been spying on his dad's conversation with the bear and this was the perfect time to make her presence known.
"Not on my watch, dad!" She said as she hopped up from the bush, scattering snow as she did. "Remember what happened last time? You doing the dishes wasn't exactly the best presentation of your magic. I still find myself wondering if there are any pieces of those plates." She said, finishing the sentence with a flat stare.
Oath simply threw a hoof up in defence. "I said I was sorry, okay? Besides, that time was because I lost concentration because of you scaring me!" He retorted, referring to Nightmare Night a year ago. This made Twinkle squee out of embarassment. "Gee, and here I thought my dad was the fearless hero." She grinned slightly before snickering.
"Very funny, Twinkle. Now are you gonna help me get Harry to his cave or-" Oathbound glanced back and saw that Harry was already inside, snoring. Seeing this made Oath facehoof. "...Nevermind."

Twinkle giggled without remorse. "Well, since that is over, how about we go shopping? The market is full of things we need before Hearth's Warming Eve!" She said before hopping in place, smiling widely and her jewelry making jingling sounds as she awaited her father's response.
Oath sighed again, for what he thought would not be the last time today, since she was perfectly correct. "I'll get my bag of bits then." He conceded.
One could hear a yay coming from Fluttershy's cottage so far as from the town square itself.

Star Sentinel stopped in the middle of his walk, his ears swiveling towards the direction of Fluttershy's cottage. He could have sworn he heard something that resembled a yay. He just shrugged and continued with what he was doing. The walked past the town square and towards a couple of shops.  He eyed them for a bit then shook his head, walking towards Sugarcube Corner instead, a slight frown on his face. It was nearing Hearth's Warming and he had no idea what to do. He had no family to spend it with, but he did have friends. Maybe he could surprise Twinkle and Oath with a gift or two.

Star stopped in front of Sugarcube Corner, a smile spreading across his face. "Yeah that's an idea. I'll want to surprise them so I'm going to need to hide whatever I'm buying for them before they see it..." He muttered to himself, walking into Sugarcube Corner. First to get something to eat. He thought to himself, lifting up his right bat wing and grabbing the bag of bits that was hidden under it. He walked up to the counter.

"Hi there Star." Mr Cake greeted the thestral at the counter, cleaning a plate which he put away when he saw that he had a customer to attend to. "What can I get for you today?" He asked politely; in the background a pink blur that was most likely Pinkie Pie was moving around boxing treats and pastries that were presumably deliveries.

There was a loud zooming noise from outside which made Mr Cake jump and knock over the plate. "I really wish Rainbow Dash would slow down... sorry Star, did you say your order already?" The stallion looked quite run ragged from the amount of customers he got this time of year.

Oath and Twinkle had gotten their stuff and were actually rather quick in their trip, having already made their way to the town center where they saw Rainbow Dash zooming around, probably practicing stunts. "Hey, Rainbow Dash!" Twinkle said as she took up for a moment and held out a hoof as the mare was about to pass them, signalling Dash to give her a brohoof as she would go past her.

Oath rolled his eyes at the speeding speedster but also hollered hi at the prismatic mare. "Hi, Dash. What're you doing here, practicing stunts or something?" He asked, kinda afraid Twinkle would be knocked out if Dash would miss her hoof and hit her instead, but then again, he had known the Element of Loyalty long enough to know she was far too good to make such a rudimentary mistake. He glanced at Sugarcube Corner, spying Mr Cake and Star Sentinel talking.
