Thundershock

"Yes! There's a mysterious druggie unicorn mare who was supposed to be imprisoned but instead is mysteriously missing! The pegasus who was supposed to bring her to the prison was the same stupid one who is infatuated with the outsider! They're going to put two and two together!" She was technically whispering, but it was a shouted whisper that really would've been heard just as well as an average indoor voice. "If they haven't by now, it's only a matter of time! You need to get her out of your house before that happens!"

North raised a foorhoof as he prepared to hit the Earth Pony out of anger. He paused, forcing it down a second later before he turned and trotted over to the wall. He bucked against it hard, making a significant dent in the wall. He then pointed to Mud using a wing-tip. "You know nothing! There is no 'two-and-two' to be put together! By the time the other guard's realize there's no druggie behind bars. No, scratch that, if they ever realize that, given that they're too busy searching the city, it'll be too late! Who would believe them anyway? They have no proof! There's no other better safe spots right now! I'm not risking her getting caught again! Your group already failed once! Technically twice! So I don't think you even know what you're talking about!"

North was practically fuming with anger as he spit these lines at Mud. It's a mystery how he managed to hold himself back and not physically attack the mare.

"She will be caught if she stays where she is!" Mud hissed, just barely keeping her voice to a whisper. "And keep your voice down, and stop kicking in walls! Somepony's gonna hear you!"

North growled once more at the Earth Pony mare, seeming to not care an ounce if they're caught as he continues his rant.  "Oh?  She'll be caught?  Well then enlighten me where she should hide then!  Don't forget that your 'group' already failed at that twice!  Just lucky one of those times was me." He paused for a few seconds, taking a deep breath before he continued. "And don't tell me to keep my voice down, Earth Pony!  I don't take orders from you."  

As he continued his voice began to steadily decrease in volume, returning to a low roar instead of the full on shouting he had been doing moments prior.

"If you don't tame your ego and take an order to shut up, we'll get caught and it'll all be over for us! Me, you, and Penstroke!" Mud hissed. "I will make sure that this time, Penstroke is properly hidden, and watched.

"Of course, if you don't trust me, you could try hiding Penstroke in a neighbor's house or something. Buck, why not try the Thunderbird's nest?"

North opened his mouth to retort, but forced it shut soon after, though he still stared daggers at Mud.  He then closed his eyes and took several long, deep breathes as he attempted to relax himself.  After about half a minute he reopened his eyes and looked back towards Mud.  "Alright, fine.  You better make extra sure this time, cause if she gets caught again I'll make sure personally that your lot never gets off this city.  I'll bring her in a few hours... I need at least some rest."  

North slowly looked to the ground, his exhaustion catching up to him as he feels his body almost scream to drop right there and then.  "Where shall we meet up?"

"If you really can't get Penstroke right now..." Mud sighed, begrudgingly accepting that. "Fine, get her first thing at sunrise, and..." She thought for a minute. "Meet me and a unicorn at the harbor. You'll say you're escorting Chocolate Caramel and Steady Stroke to Earth to pick up... um... flowers. Sure."

North gave a short nod, exhaustion beginning to really overtake him as he nearly fell over, his eyes slowly closing.  He rapidly shook his head, forcing energy back into himself.  "I'll make sure to have Penstroke ready and both of us en route to the harbor by sunrise.  Now I need to... go get some rest.  If I can even make it back home."  

North let out a low growl before he extended his wings and quickly took flight, soaring as fast as he could back towards Pegatropolis.  He occasionally swayed and had more than a few near misses with buildings along his journey as they gently rose and fell.  After what seemed like forever in his drained brain, he finally arrived outside his apartment, quickly pushing his way inside.  He leaned against the walls as he slowly climbed the stairs, the support of the wall the only thing keeping him upright.  

Once on his floor he trotted to his door, quickly opening it and pushing his way inside.  He practically slammed the door behind him then collapsed onto the floor.  He managed to drag himself over to his bedroom before stopping once he entered, debating if the last leg of this trip was worth it or if he should just sleep right then and there.
