Manor on the hill

Lightning stepped further into the room as Dust started to walk to the next door, looking around fearfully. He didn't say something and hoped that the mare would just come back to her senses or at least be smart enough not to go through another door. Then, the door closed behind him, taking his attention away from her. Soon, he heard another door close though the sound came from the door ahead of him. He rushed to the door and tug on the door knob in hopes that this door was different. It wasn't. Is was starting to hate doors now. So, after a few moments of fiddling with it the mare from earlier walked in. "Yeah, I'll be out when I manage to get Dust out of this room." He said as he turned to give the door a good kick with his hind legs, sure that it wouldn't do anything to it.

Niccy walks up to the door, making a shushing motion at the stallion. "Be quiet. We already know we can't open these doors, the best we can do is listen at them and hope to learn what's happening." She presses her ear to the door, closing her eyes to concentrate.

Hanna tried to cast an unlocking spell on the doors, but her attempts at even completing the spell proved to be a failure. "I'm sure there is a solution for every puzzle, but What if something or someone is trying to prevent us from even exploring this place? More importantly. Why is such an old manor soundproof from the storm outside, despite what one may believe?" Hanna sat down and started to write some notes into a book.

Dust glanced at the door, but she knew she couldn't go back, and depending on the magic of this place, couldn't go forward till she did whatever the room wanted her to do. She approached the ball, although closely, horn ready.

Dust: The orb did nothing at first past vaguely reflecting Dust's reflection in it's rounded surface, yet the doors in the place still refused to budge to any of the attempts made against them. Back to the orb itself, Dust could just see the barest vague shapes of something swirling in it's suddenly murky depths, though at the distance she was from the orb, she wouldn't be able to see what they were.

Hanna, Lightning, Niccy, Griff: While the door everyone had taken to get into the art gallery they currently found themselves in had slammed shut behind them, it could readily and easily be opened again to once more allow them to pass back into the entryway. The door that Dust had taken however would prove to remain closed and didn't budge to any attempts. Niccy also wouldn't be able to hear anything inside despite pressing her ear to the door. There were however two more sets of doors that could potentially be entered that hadn't been opened yet, to the left and right of the entryway door.

Coil: The apparition slammed into Coil, it's cold embrace gripping and chilling Coil to the bone while those almost burning red eyes almost seemed to singe and sear whatever they landed on. This confusing and disturbing sensation, coupled with the nightmare of an abomination seeming to stare into Coil's very soul in an attempt to steal it away and drag it down to whatever gods forsaken realm it resided in. And then it would be gone with absolutely no traces of it's existence. Even the bed that the sheet had covered before was back and the bed undisturbed, showing no signs of housing any presence for an unknown amount of time.

Dust stepped closer and closer, trying to get to the distance where she could make it out clearly but still be as far away as vision would permit.

"Drat, Nothing. Chaos damned magic doors..." Niccy pulls her ear away from the door, looking at the collected people in the room. "Looks like we can't observe the room in any way. So, ideas? I'd prefer we stick together in case we run into anything hostile." She looks at the two unopened doors. "We have two choices..."

Griff lightly jumped as he heard the doors to entryway slam shut before shrugging. "Well, before we pick any of the two doors..." he said, looking at the locked door with Dust in it. "I suppose we could first wait for Dust to get out of there. It'll be better if we all travel together, obviously, and the bigger number of us, the better." he concluded, continuing to look around him. He did not want to leave out any details of the current room.

Poisoned Coil attempted to power up his shield spell, but found that whatever the apparition was, it didn't care for his magic, and he attempted to bat it away and found himself wrapped up in a sheet. He was about to remove it when the apparition slammed into him, and he felt a chill run through his very soul. He stared back, his form beginning to glow as he began to heat up, and was prepared burn the apparition to a crisp before it all suddenly stopped. He found that he wasn't even using magic at the moment, just concentrating really hard. "What....what the hell...Illusion? No...or it's a really high level of illusion magic....." He looked around the room, gently searching so he didn't disturb things too much.

Dust: Regardless of how close Dust would get to the orb, the shapes inside it remained unfocused and disfigured to a point where identification would be impossible.

Niccy, Griff, Hanna, Lightning As the group stayed in the art gallery, nothing really seemed to happen. The door to Dust's room remained closed, the pictures hung where they were and did nothing special because of the groups presence.

Coil: With the search, Coil would find surprising lack of things in the bedroom. Common and plain sheets in the bed with an extra set stored in the drawers, and not really anything else. A couple empty picture frames sat upon the only dresser in the room, and nothing more could be seen. In fact, the more Coil looked at the room, the more empty and hollow it seemed, despite it seeming like a well attended and looked after room just moments before when that thing had been hiding beneath the sheets.

Hanna admired the paintings, but she felt a cold breeze upon one of the paintings and decided to pick each one up to see if anything was behind the paintings. To her dismay, there was nothing behind them. "It was worth a shot. normally that would be the case for something secret to be hiding behind."

Dust poked it, having nothing else to really do as it wasn't reacting to anything at all.

As Dust poked the orb, it started to roll away from her hoof. Not because it was moving by itself, but because it was a perfect sphere just sitting on flat ground and had just been poked. The images inside didn't really change what they were doing either, but merely continued their swirling.

True to form, Hanna would find nothing out of place behind the pictures and painting that decorated the walls of the room. Though now if anyone tried to open the door to the room that Dust went into, they would find the door able to be opened now.

As for Coil, they haven't done anything and nothing's happening to them...

Coil shook his head, sighing. He had found nothing and gotten attacked by a...phantasm? Whatever it was, it chilled him to the bone, and sapped a bit of his energy. He slithered over to the door, and checked to see if the door was unlocked. Finding that it was, he would return to the hallway, looking around and checking his other options.

Dust sighed, picked it up, and looked for a place to deposit it.
