| Imagine how you use a clock. You use it to keep track of time, to know when you should do things, when certain things should happen and how to know when it's time to take food out of the oven as opposed to burning your entire house down because you really wanted a roast dinner.
We use clocks to tell time. What if there was a clock that controlled time?
Okay, that's a terrible metaphor because it kinda doesn't look like a clock, but there are gears everywhere and it ticks a lot and if you want I could make it go ding.
How do I ramble like this? Why do I write down everything I think? Why am I still doing it? Why are you reading this? Potatoes. See, I bet you weren't even paying attention to that!
Oh right! Sorry! If you're reading this I need your help; some blasted stallion with a silly accent and a stupid hat managed to get inside my Clocktower! I don't know how this happened but if you're reading this well by the time you look away I'm afraid you'll find that you've been pulled into the Clocktower yourselves so if you were in the shower I apologise in advance.
Back to the point; this little ingrate stole my Time Gem, which is the core of the entire Clocktower; the Clocktower you see houses the greatest invention ever invented by the motivation to invent things, with it I can use the dimension you will now be standing in as sort of a run off for Equestria's many time paradoxes and attempted rewrites of history by stupid unicorns who think that going back in time to write their names on Celestia's statue when the concrete is wet won't summon meteor storms to kill us all.
It could happen I tell you!!!
Okay okay okay, look, to make a long story short; when you look away from this letter you will be in my Clocktower and I'll be able to send you through time. You MUST follow that thief and recover the Time Gem or history as we know it could be bent into a delicious pretzel with sprinkles of Armageddon!
Or, he might just pull silly faces in historical pictures but I will NOT take that risk.
Sincerely, Starswirl The Bearded.
PS- Please don't sue for kidnapping, it's extremely hard to find a lawyer in a land of paradoxes that speaks sense.((Okay, so that was me trying and probably failing to be funny, but it gets the point across. Your OCs will be interrupted by that letter in whatever they were doing and when they look away they will be in the Clocktower. As you could probably make out through the ramblings, a thief named Hoodwink has stolen the Time Gem, the powersource to the Time Regulator, a device which keeps the time paradoxes and side effects of time travel spells from messing with Equestria's timeline. You will be able to ask for a more coherent version once the RP starts, so no panic there. Anyways, rules: 1) This is a relatively lighthearted thread but please don't use that as an excuse to god mod 2) Two characters maximum per player 3) No your characters have never heard of any of this before. This is all new information just thrown at them, so if you're confused by the letter entirely, well that's how your character is feeling. 4) For the sake of story please don't go around and deliberately try messing up the timeline beyond all reason 5) Since this is comedic no one's dying, so cartoonish injuries are in full effect, as are cartoon physics (but again, please don't use this as an excuse to god mod) 6) Have fun ))

| As a note guys Follow That Paradox will begin either tonight or tomorrow. The following is the characters who made it in:
Fine Fantasy
Heartstring
Daimond Mind
Star Sentinel
Sunshine
Dezulaar
I'm sorry to the people who didn't get in, I took in as many as I thought I could handle. If anyone drops out you will be informed and offered a place.
As a note to those that did get in, if you don't post for two days then you can be skipped. That's not a promise that you WILL be skipped, just a warning that after two days it becomes a possibility.
