The Best Night Ever (Private with The_Pariah)

"Right. Sorry. I forgot for a moment... 'Platinum'." Insight walks forward to the guards. "Let her through."

"Uh... yes." The guards stepped aside, allowing them to pass.

You will not ever speak a word of this to anyone. Platinum smiles at him, before sliding into the medical ward, heading for where she remembered Celestia was.

As you wish, Paladin. Insight followed him, walking to Celestia's ward in silence.

Besides, I'm bi... and this is not the weirdest thing I've ever done. Still, no words. She pulled back the curtains to Celestia's bed.

Mm. Insight watches the sleeping Celestia, her eyes shut as she snored fitfully.

Insight nodded silently. He closed his eyes and concentrated.

"Hm..." Celestia stirred slowly, blinking away the sleep. "... Insight? What did you call me for?"

Platinum brushes a stray hair out of her face. "Good evening Princess."

"Hm?" Celestia looked at her sleepily. "Who are you?"

"Platinum, Princess." Insight said.

"Oh... why are you here?" She yawned.

"My brother... Paladin. He has caught... something rather sickening. He has confined himself to his bed, and sent me to deliver a message. I planned to do this at the Gala, however, seeing as you are here, I have come here instead."

"Oh, I see." Celestia's eyes dimmed. "What message?"

Insight looked between the two of them, intrigued.

"He wants you to know... that he is sorry. Firstly, that he apologises for getting as angry as he did. He understands that you do not, and should not, have to love him. Second, he wishes for you to know that he wants to be your friend. Your best friend to be precise. Finally, he wishes for you to get some rest, as he has a surprise for you when you are better." Platinum smiled. "My brother is a bit of an idiot, isn't he?"

Celestia paused as she assimilated the information, then smiled softly. "Yes... yes he is. But he's my idiot. I hope I can see him again soon..."

"You shall, I'm sure. Oh, I believe he had a few questions as well." She giggled softly.

"Like what?" Celestia asked.

"First, I believe he wanted to know if you'd be his best friend. Second... He wanted to know if it was alright if he was bi..." She tapped her chin in thought. "there was one more, but I can't recall what it was."

"Who am I to judge somepony by their sexual orientation?" Celestia asked. "I'm fine with it. And... well, forgiveness isn't easy. Give it a little while. But he can be my close friend."

"I see Princess." She giggled as her horn glowed for a second, before she took off the wig. "I hope one day, you may forgive me for how I have hurt you." Her horn flashed, and she replaced the wig. "Good day to you my Princess."

Celestia flinched and her head fell back. "P— Paladin? Is that..."

Insight said nothing as he watched the scene, only chuckling softly.

"It is sun-butt. I dressed like this to calm Harmony... I can't say I don't enjoy it though." She giggled, kissing Celestia quickly. "I can;t say I didn't enjoy that either. But, I know you didn't. So don't worry, I'm going to look after you. But, I won't try to love you. I just want to be your friend now."

"Well... that's a relief... I guess." Celestia smiled at him. "So... what now?"

"I have to go back to the Gala... I wouldn't mind if you came with me. In disguise though. So we can just enjoy the night."

"Oh, I don't think I could do that." Celestia said weakly. "I don't have nearly enough magic to sustain a proper illusion... and I'm far too tall for a normal disguise."

"Insight however..." She took a glance at the silent stallion.

"I am not an illusionist." Insight said quietly. "But... I do know somepony who is." He turned around. "If you'll excuse me for a moment."
