Griff shook his head at Ash's question. "Doesn't smell like hayburger joint... unless pony guardsmen smell like hamburger joint." He says before almost turning around as he heard the noise, only to witness what could be some ponies final moments and seeing the creature with hooks. "Interesting..." he says, looking at the orbs left behind by ghostponies. "If you want to take the frontal assault, please be kind enough to work as a distraction for me. I prefer to initiate fights from behind." the sabretooth tiger said before slowly and cautiously approaching the said orbs, stopping just a short distance from them. "You know, I once met a ghost of a dragon. Almost got myself killed but I managed to talk myself out of it. Good fella."

"i sugest we dont engage whatever that was we saw, we have no idea what it could do if we find it or it finds us" pyro said while taking out a gem-rune and started it upp, the rune emits a light fowards similar to a flashlight as the sky grew darker, night time aproaching.

As grif went closer to the orbs left behind from the memory, they started to react to his presens as a blue ghostly flame surounded the orbs and started to hover about, that is untill all orbs exept one flew towards griff, specifically his camera and enterd it, the camera reacted oddly att first untill it returned to normal, but 3 recordings is alerted on the main screen of the camera

"Fine. Let's learn a little more about what happened first. Then we'll go hunting down whatever did this," Ash said. He wanted to get this over with. The longer this took, the more likely one or all of them wouldn't make it out in one piece, and there's nothing exciting about dying.

When he noticed Griff managed to get the orbs to do something with the camera, he came over and asked, "What the heck was that about? Everything seems to either like or hate that camera. Seriously, a stupid camera."

When the orbs began floating against Griff, he disappeared in a smoke cloud for a second before reappearing in his unicorn form just before the orbs hit the camera. He quickly picked it up from his bag and checked it. "I know, crazy, right?" He answered Ash and began looking at the camera as if trying to figure out its functions or how to review the three recordings. "Hey, Pyro, I think you'll have an easier time reviewing these with those fingers of yours..." He said and offered the camera to Pyro.

Pyro took the camera that griff offerd him and began to tinker with it to access the new fotage that appeard after the spirit orb enterd the camera, cryo meanwhile got a shiver down his spine and looked around towards the darkening mist,a pair of red eyes was seen, but they where smaller as they moved about with a oddly boney rattle.

With enough tinkering with the camera, pyro was rather shocked as the camera let out a loud sparking nice untill a low echoing female voice was heard "the mist.....the forest. ...to the south....it came from the forest.... beasts coming... something from the past.... revenge of the past..." the recording said, but no visual recording except a image att the end of the town hall of ponyville, but the area around the building looks changed.

Pyro had a shiver down his spine aswell as he looked att the others, only for a hovering equine skull to appear besides his head behind him.

Ash noticed the thing moving about that sounded like a skeleton, but his attention was brought to the camera when when the voice came from it. He did manage to see the picture from his angle, though he wasn't sure what to make of it. However, what really got him to react was the skull floating by Pyro's head.

"Wah!" he shouted, and he instinctively drew his bow with an arrow. However, he didn't shoot. He remembered what happened with the shadow people and decided to wait for a bit. After all, it hadn't done anything quite yet.

Griff didn't get a good look at the camera, but he did hear what the footage said. "Revenge of the past?" He asked himself before looking around. "Yeah, that sounds about right." He then answered himself, noticing Ash's reaction to something. "What are you..." he said and looked behind Pyro, seeing the floating skull. He lightly jumped in surprise, transforming back into his sabre-tooth tiger form almost immediately. "God damnit would you stop with the jumpscares!?" He yelled at the mist.

As they all stod there staring att eachother with pyro and cryo having confused looks about that the other 2 where scared about, the skull behind pyro let out a loud shreik that caused them both to jump in suprice and scurry over to ash and griffs side

Now that the skull made its pressence known, bones started to appear from the mist and built upp it self into a skeleton pony, its eyes red in the eye sockets, moments later a large 2 headed axe struck the ground besides the skeleton pony, and out emerged a armored humanoid skeleton as it rattled its way to its axe, letting out a demented laugh.

Well, that settles it. Looks like these things are hostile. Too bad they're skeletons, Ash thought. His arrows wouldn't be much help here, and he somewhat wished he had brought bomb arrows. Only somewhat because those things did not like being rattled around in a quiver, he needed a special carrying case for them to ensure they were less likely to blow. If all else failed, they'd destroy the case instead of him.

Despite the doubt his arrow would do something, he still planned on using the arrow he had ready. He shifted his aim to the humanoid skeleton, assuming it was the bigger threat, and aimed for the skull. Still, he didn't fire immediately. If any of them rushed forward, they'd get an arrow in them. The human one would be easy to hit since he was already aiming at it. The pony was the issue since it wasn't in his focus, meaning he'd be more likely to miss.

Griff carefully watched the skeleton beings build up into their forms, all the while maintaining his prepared stance. He would be releasing a low and continuous growl at the beings, slowly backing up and examining them completely. He began questioning who takes who, or rather, who would distract who while he could flank them. "Oh, why didn't I ever bother learning how to shapeshift into something that can crush... " he growled to himself, waiting for others to make the first move and always being prepared to dodge if an attack came while also relying on his instinct to warn him if something was behind them.

the humanoid skeleton made its move as it lifted the large 2-bladed 2-hander axe with a skeletal hand and pointed it to the group as it let out a battle yell, it was shaking and rattling att the same time as the skeletal pony suddenly charged toward them, its eyes glaring bright red att them as it planed on charging head first with its horn to inpale and the humanoid skeleton then charged aswell with its axe.

Since the pony skeleton was the first to move, he averted his aim from the humanoid one and shot at it. The arrow managed to clip the side of the pony skeleton's head, but did no substantial damage. From there, he determined that the humanoid one was the biggest threat. He took to the air and fired another arrow at it, hoping to draw it's attention. From there, he drew his sword and dove down towards it. He aimed for it's head at first, but that was a planned feint. He expected the skeleton to swing at him, which he'd dodge by dropping down and then hit the legs out from under it. Immobilizing it seemed like the best course of action right now.

Griff studied the skeletons a bit longer before they charged. He was hoping that the rest of the crew will take their attention as he ran off to the side before sprinting and tackling the skeletal pony, using his strength and claws to attempt to bring it apart and break a few bones.

With the humanoid skeleton falling for ash trick as it tried to swing its axe att the Pegasus, it claterd heavily on the ground with its armor as ash kicked its legs from under it, the skeletons dont seem to be to bright in thier actions as the skeleton pony was also easily attacked and damaged by the arrow and griff's sabertooth form.

Pyro was helping with the fight against the humanoid skeleton, having manifested a large hammer from a rune and bashed the skeletons back, beaking it easily into bits, cryo meanwhile looked worred with how easily dispatched the skeletons where, looking around behind him confirmed his suspision as he yelped loudly, tons of skeletons, both humanoid and pony, stod behind the group glaring att them.

"g-guys....r-RUN!" cryo yelled as he ran past the others fast down the road as the large skeleton group all let out dememted laughs and battleyells.

Ash celebrated his victory over the skeleton as Pyro finished it off. "Take that you pile of bones," he said to it.

When Cryo bolted by and told them to run, he looked back and saw exactly what he was running from. "Of course there's an army of them. Why wouldn't there be an army of them. Wait for me!" he shouted. Of course, he fired arrows into the crowd of skeletons as he flew after Cryo, as they seemed a little fragile. Plus, he doubted he'd miss.

Griff quickly turned his head around to see just the glimpse of the hoard that was approaching them before he bolted his way after Cryo, easily overspeeding him in his feline form. "You'd waste arrows on something we'd avoid?! Why?" He asked Ash as they ran, hoping that they weren't running into another trap. He slowed down just a bit to let Cryo and others catch up before attempting to run at their pace.

As pyro saw the 2 ponies and sabertooth bolt away, he then turned to see the army that the others where fleeing from but since he was the last to react, the skeleton army was allready prety close to him when he bolted down the road the others took to ponyville, the skeletons threw everything att them, magic bolts of fire, ice, poison, spears, any throwable weapon and even thier own bones where thrown to hit the group in order to slow them down for capture, pyro having to dodge anything thrown att him since he was the closest, only to be hit by a ice bolt from behind while in mid-jump over a side-thrown executioners axe.

Once hit by the ice bolt, it froze him solid, normaly it would stop him and freeze him in place but since he was in the air, he landed with a audiable clunk on the ground and slid down the road, picking upp speed as Down the road, the pathway started to slope downwards which it did not do normaly to ponyville, the ranged attacks of the skeletons reaching the ponies, and pyro the ice block was reaching them fast aswell as a tall and long rusty chainlink fence was blocking the ponies way of escape.

Ash would have no problem with the fence since he was a Pegasus. However, he wasn't sure what to do about Pyro. He saw he had been frozen solid, and that he was now barreling towards Griff and Cryo. A fire arrow would thaw him out pretty quickly, but also might burn him in the process. Since ice was Cryo's thing, he hoped he had a way to help him.

Ash decided to save his arrows at this point, as there were too many skeletons for him to kill. So, he decided to run interference, swooping around above the army of skeletons at top speed so they'd shoot at him instead of the others. He wasn't going to slow down for anything, as he did not want his days of a mercenary to end here.

Griff saw the fence they were approaching, trying to quickly think of a plan of getting all of the party over it. Just when eh thought about the party, he looked to see Pyro frozen solid sliding behind them and Ash going into the air. "Hey Cryo, think you have enough magical power to teleport yourself and pyro over the fence?" the sabertooth tiger asked. "Me and Ash can probably buy you some time, but make it quick!" he said before jumping and transforming into a hawk which still wore the necklace of teeth and had leather straps around legs, neck and base of wings to make him recognizable. He immediately took to the skies and began following Ash all the while screeching down at the skeletons in hopes to provoke them and making sure he dodges everything that gets thrown at him.

Ash and Griff's distraction plan worked as the skeletons now where provoked to attack them now, even the melee skeletons threw thier weapons att them haphassardly, damaging themselfs a bit in the process as they continued thier atempt to down the fliers, the skeleton archers being the more accurate of the bunch with some very close calls.

On cryo's end, he attempted charge upp a short blink spell to safely get trough the fence blocking thier path but with pyro still barreling down towards him as a fast speed he had to do it quick so that his companions dont get shot down, unfortionatly a lone skeleton saw trough the plan of ash and griff's distraction, it was a naked humanoid skeleton with its only weapon being a simple piece of bone and it swung it hard enough on cryo's head to interupt his spell, dazeing him and making him back upp from the pain before he regained his senses and looked att the skeleton that attacked him with a glare and a growl, only to hear iceblock pyro barreling straight towards him and got smashed by the iceblock, sending cryo flying into the air over the fence with the iceblock bursting though the fence loudly as the metal whires snaped and broke under the strain from the preasure.

After bursting trough the fence, the ice block tumbled onto its side with cryo landing ontop of it, rideing it down the road with a paniced yell.

Ash certainly had some close calls with those archers. He received a few minor cuts because of them, nothing that would slow him down.

When he heard the fence crash open, he assumed Cryo had done the job of bypassing the fence and turned to see the result. Never had he face-palmed so hard than when he saw Cryo land on the frozen Pyro.

Seriously?! he thought to himself, Was Celestia scraping the bottom of the barrel for good mercs? He knew he might not ever know the answer to that, but now was not the time to think about it too much. He flew after Cryo and Pyro, making sure he stayed high and weaved around since he assumed archers would still be firing at him.

Unlike Ash, Griff did his best and managed to dodge everything that was thrown at him, thanks to his smaller size and being more nimble in the air. He actually had fun dodging and mocking the undead before hearing the loud creaking of iron fence being smashed open, forcing him to looh in the direction of the sound and seeing the whole situation. This time he had no choice but to copy Ash and facepalm before flying after the sliding ice block.

Cryo held on to the ice block with his life as it slid down the road, the undead seemed aware that they passed the fence but they where not prepeard with how fast they where advancing down the road as more ghoulish beasts and skeletons poped upp by the road to stop the group but they where quickly ramed to bits by the ice block's speed and mass.

After sliding further down, the road was seen broken down further ahead as the mist seemed to be less dense as cryo jumped off the block as its speed slowed down enough to get safely off with a roll on the gound, the ice block hits the bumpy broked down part of the road and it tumbled to a stop, cracks runing deep in it.

Once both Cryo and Pyro stopped, it was easy for Ash to catch up to them. He decided right then and there that Pyro needed to be freed from his icy prison. He came up to his frozen form, noticed the cracks in the ice, and gave it a hard stomp with his forelegs, specifically aiming where he wouldn't accidentally hit Pyro if the ice was weaker than he thought. He hoped that'd be enough to break the ice entirely.

Griff took his sweet time and was thus the last one to arrive at the scene, landing on Ash's back, watching their attempts to break the ice. "Hey, wouldn't we risk him breaking up into pieces as well while he's frozen in there? I know that we don't have a lot of time, but I believe melting him out would be a definitely better option than breaking him up and risking possible death due to haste." Griff said, still in his bird form, keeping an eye around their surroundings so they do not get a surprise attack.
