Temple Run

Faelyn's tampering with the magical device would cause the pillars of fire to start to move along the ground, running in large circles on the floor. Cynder was almost hit by one, as she didn't expect it to start moving, barely kumping out of the way as the beast attacked. It got burned by the flames, hissing in pain and going to attack Cynder, who brought her sword up quickly to slash at its leg, causing a smoky black mist to spew from the wound.

Sugary was rather observant; smiling as the trap could be tampered with as he began to trace what Faelyn was doing, concerned for what Cynder almost went through, and doubly concerned for what the creature spewed forth. He hurried up in following along the same strings, seeking for proper control and focus. "Come on... Just have to get it to twist a little, annnd..." When he thought he had enough under his control with some minor experiments, he focused more upon the creature from safe sides of his allies.

pyro's clones continued with thier onslaught against the beast, hacking and slashing while dodging and avoiding the firetraps moving around thanks to sugary and faelyn and the attacks of the beast aswell.

with pyro's ranged arial sword slashes coming down on the beast from above cutting off spines from its back, and his attacks generated enough upwardforce to keep him in the air for a short time, that is untill he decided to engulf himself in fire and fall towards the beast like a meteor, doing a burning dash and impacts the beast's back hard and scortching hot

Faelyn nodded and thought to herself, Alright, Sugary has the strings now. I'm going to let go and have him do the controlling. She took out her flute and turned it over in her hands, thinking of a song to play. This is what she comes up with, best she can:

The pillars of spewing fire would do a few things while Sugary tried to gain control of them. They would turn off and on again, zig-zag around the room, get larger and smaller, and then finally it seemed that Sugary would be able to get them to do what he wanted them to do. Cynder made another cut in the beast's flesh, causing another spewing of black mist.

Pyro's attack would see the same result, provided he wasn't hit in the frantic dance of the flames. The beast looked hurt, limping on one of its legs while trying to attack Pyro and Cynder with swipes and bites.

Pyro would continue his fiery attack by burning the back of the beast, literally blowing flames from his mouth as he burned off more of the beast's spines while his clones did thier best att dodging the fire pillars and the beast's attack

Faelyn looked at the pillars in confusion, occasionally absorbing some and burping as if she chugged a bit too much soda. Right, so he's limping. I bet if he was on his side he'd be a lot less trouble. With that thought, she hurled herself full force into his side, aiming for his limping paw.

With full control for certain, Sugary merely focused on getting the pillars aimed just right to finish of the creature to ashes... And should things settle down from there, he'd get to deactivating the pillars afterwards...

Cynder bats the beast with the broadside of her sword right in its face as Faelyn tackles the crippled leg. The beast shrieks and hisses in pain as the magma slime hit it, reeling back and falling over. Just as it did, the pillars of fire all suddenly focused in on the beast, bathing it in scorching hot flame and burning it to a screeching crisp. Cynder wipes her brow of a bead of sweat and grins, sheathing her sword.

The room then slowly returned to normal, the floor rising and the pillar with the idol lowering. A mysterious tune of victory plays over chimes.

as the beast feel over its back, pyro jumped of its back as it as reeling back and landed with a roll on the ground, his clones cheered and jumped as the beast was defeated by the firetraps of the temple, and as all of that was over, pyro put away his weapons and held a victorious pose over the chared remains of the beast "could not handle the heat, eh?" Before he turned around to see the idol coming into reach to the group

Sugary jumped for joy spontaneously and even danced over where the corpse of the creature might've been, until he paused in mid-air and gently floated back down with a cough. "Er... Right. We won here I believe... So!" He clapped his hands and pointed to the idol as he looked to Cynder and Faelyn with an awkward smile. "Maybe one of you ladies wants to try going after it this time...?"

Faelyn stared at the idol as it came down, trying to suppress the urge to eat it. To her, it looked like really fancy ice cream: tasty, expensive, with no real nutritional value. She looked to Cynder to get it, as Cynder did not seem likely to want to eat it.

Cynder hops, skips and jumps on over to where the idol was situated, not hesitating to grab it and hold it victoriously. "Yeah! We got it! And totally kicked that thing's butt!" She says, doing a little dance and then tucking the thing away in her bag. Let's get this thing back to the professor before something else happens!"

"thats a very good idea cynder, lets get out if here" pyro said as he regrouped with his clones as they headed to the stone door that they enterd the temple, wondering how they could open it upp "hmm, faelyn? mind opening upp the door here?" he said as le looked att faelyn

Sugary let out a soft sigh as the idol being grabbed turned out to be relatively safe so far by now. He smiled and moved closer to the group in general quickly to try and settle for an exit before things became more hairy for them. "Right. But before we try to force something to open, let me see if I can't get us out with my magic... Hm...?" His smile began to wane as he tried to focus on a teleportation spell, but he was feeling a lot of interference. The more he tried to avoid it, the more it fought back to the point his horn was fizzling. He frowned as sparks came before him. "Oh dear, hold that thought... Doesn't look like we can just zoom away, I can't get a clear route for us to take..." He began to move about, horn still fizzling as he seemed to be looking for a signal, or where interference might be coming from by inspecting the temple within.

Faelyn rubbed her chin and shrugs, "Well, I don't think it'll work... but, sure. Why not!" She smiles and bounces up to the door, bracing her shoulder against it and pushing.

Faelyn would easily be able to push the doors open once again, though this time there was a strangely loud click when she did so. And then another, and a whole series of clicks that sounded as if they were moving underneath the floor until they reached the back wall. There's a rumble, and the ground begins to shake lightly. The wall cracks and jets of water start to shoot from behind, more cracks appearing and more water starting to shoot from the wall.

"I um... Thing we should move... Like' right now!" Cynder exclaims, starting for the door.

"Water cave in!!" Pyro yelled "lets move it people, go go go!" And His clones scrambled towards the exits, though they ran towards pyro's companions and surprisingly enough picked upp and carried between 2 clones sugary, cynder and faelyn as his clones carried them out, pyro being the last in line if the idol where to be droped

Faelyn freak out, locked down, and froze as 4 or 5 of Pyro's clones carried the heavier elemental away. She watched as what was very literally liquid death blew open the walls, splashes hissing on her face, momentarily turning to stone pieces before they melted back. Her eyes dialated and she went into a bit of shell shock.

Sugary kept pondering as he was picked up, ever curious as to what was causing the interference while trusting Pyro's clones to handle the escape for now and looking back to the far end of the water jets coming out. "Hmm... Still a mystery... But now's not the time to figure it out." He raised one arm towards the far side of the temple, horn glowing a white-blue color before a wave of freezing magic hit the cracks in the walls to hold and slow the water from coming after them, but felt that alone might not be enough as he rose the stick; "Numbers don't mean speed, so... Let's make Haste!" Both the stick and the horn glowing and lightly distorting the air around them before he tapped the ground with it, and imbued Pyro and his clones with a speed spell for a quicker getaway as their limbs were made much more nimble temporarily while arcane outlines of clocks rotated faster around them to signal the enchantment.

Cynder meeped as she was picked up my Pyro's many clones. And yelped as they would suddenly be sped up by Sugary's magic. As they rushed down the path, the sound of a collapsing stone wall would be followed by the roar of rushing water. A torrent would rise from the temple like an unnatural serpent, rising high up into the sky before crashing down on the ground and rushing after the adventurers. It would be right on their heels as they ran back to the entrance from which they came, and would follow them as they sped back through the tunnel and up the stairs.

the main pyro was last in the line as he made sure nothing was forgoten as he then ran after the clones as he orderd the clones infront carrying nothing to clear the way she he himself tried to slow down the torrent heading to them with ice runes, to freeze the water to gain time as they hurried trough the tunnel and upp the stairs, and as they got upp, the clones carrying faelyn would suddenly blow fier on her to keep her hot and safe.

Sugary eventually felt something was off in their escape, and so he casually hopped off from the clones carrying him, grabbed them instead, and tossed the two of them full force darting through the air after spinning them around.

He then waited for Pyro himself to catch up, caught him above his head, kneeled, and hard his horn shine as he did so. "You're trying to do all the work for the exit with so many of you; You might want to reduce your numbers a bit on the way out so we don't have to slow down for anything..." He smiled, and just before the water came over to them, he 'jumped' ahead as the ground behind him broke off from the mix of might and magic pushing back against it, wind rushing past them as he kept Pyro holding his hat down. "INCOMING!"

Faelyn squeaked in terror as, yet again, the water broke through a wall. However, there still really wasn't anything she could do about it. She instead hoped of her Pyro clones and dashed at Market, looking to get some bag of holding assistance. Death by statuefication was not very high on the priority list.

Cynder keeps her wits about her. Or at least tries to, as the water rushes behind them. She wobbles to her feet, the many Pyros being quite hard to stand on. When they reach the exit, she grabs Faelyn and holds her tight, reaching up for a vine and grabbing it just in time, launching the two of them up and over, landing over to the side of the ruins entrance as the water would gush out like a geyser. But she and Faelyn were safe from it now, and the magma entity wouldn't have to worry about getting statuefied.
