In The Balance (Adventure, Anthro)

Equestria has been ravaged. Not by a tangible threat, not by some overlord that Celestia can placate or eliminate, not by some physically identifiable force that the Element Bearers can simply repel with the powers of Harmony; chaos, madness and volatile magic has laid siege to Equestria for weeks as the royals scrambled for a solution.

Much to the dismay of all, the Lord of Chaos himself held no answers; Discord denies involvement in the bursts of chaos magic bombarding the land and even admitted that his own powers had no effect in attempting to reverse the damage done to the land. Many questioned, few could even attempt answers.

Eventually Princess Luna arranged for a select few to make a journey that she believed may hold the answer. Hiring ponies who were willing to undertake a journey at sea, hazardous at the best of times, positively death seeking with the chaos magic spreading rapidly. The details of this voyage are unknown, the only information you have been afforded is the coordinates for where you are to go.

After six days at open sea, the answer will finally reveal itself.


RULES:

1) This is an adventure thread. Feel free to bring equipment with you as starting, but be warned that you can very easily lose equipment and items in this game.

2) Please be sure to detail EVERYTHING your character has with them when you start

3) While death is a possibility in this game it will be extremely rare for it to happen; this is more a thread to have fun than worry about dying constantly.

4) Please don't make up parts of the story yourself. The explanation to what is going on is what you're here to find out, not to magically know.

5) As always, character sheets are required. A description of your character in anthro form including clothes and gear would be nice. You are allowed to start with weapons and equipment, as previously stated.

In his anthro form, he would be around 6 feet tall, skinny with a few muscles here and there. His hair is white with dark green tips. He is wearing a long dark-green cloak (which also has a hood) which has a few holes in it and is torn at some points, yet still big enough to cover his whole body. Underneath the cloak, he has dark-green leather armor and two swords hanging by his sides. While his pony form is now anthro, his other animal forms remain feral.

Standing 5' 9" he has a lean form, not containing to many muscles, that is protected by leather armor and a white tunic under the leather armor. Carrying a leather bag with him that hold some medical supplies and a journal, ink well, and a quill. A bow and arrow on his back with a sword at his side. The last thing he carries with him is some medical tools in his belt.

She will be five eight and wearing black cargo pants and a grey tank top, and of course heavy steeltoe boots. She will carry a duffel bag full of spare parts and tools, as well as at least three dozen mana batteries for Fidelis. Her gear will not include her mechanical right forearm and hand, as well as her entire left leg being mechanical.

Fidelis, her Butler Robot, stands at six feet with a muscular frame, wearing a simple suit with white shirt and grey vest and black pants, no jacket but a black bowtie. His entire body is made of bronze, enchanted to be strong as steel. He has a short mane and tail made of fine platinum strands, as well as a bushy mustache of the same material. He has a water heater within his chest that he uses for tea and has tea leaves and several mugs within his chest as well, the mugs protected by foam to keep from breaking.

He stands 7' 1" and is covered in his scale mail armor, though he has been given a new white cloak. He has his lance in its holster on his waist, his talisman around his neck. His mane will have fallen out of its military style and into a 'normal' haircut. He has simple clothing under his armor.

His gear he is carrying is his Lance and a Straight Sword.

I'd like to sign up Faerie Fire, please. She has the gar listed on her Character sheet plus a heavy crossbow, a lightweight suit of piecemeal armor, and a spyglass.

I'd like to sign up with Resonance for this little venture.

Usually standing around 5' 2", Rez isn't going to be tall most of the time but that can change thanks to one of his abilities. He's wearing some simple pants, a vest, and a regular jacket. The hair would be the same bright neon blue with it's silver tips and he'd have a slim build since strength has never been a strong trait of his. He'd be wearing his bandanna for the moment, though a few of his masks would be in the pack, they don't do anything other than hide the fact that he doesn't have a mouth. Rez'd also have a couple of his dry erase boards and plenty of markers to communicate with the others. Lastly, there's his headphones and hoof-pod (ipod) that has his music.

For weapons, Rez has his enchanted dagger, which can extend it's blade up to the average short sword length, but it doesn't do much else. There's also his rune gun which can shoot a small fireball but it's nothing major.

I'll sign up Lightning for this and he would have a standard pistol with a pack of rounds on him plus numerous knives, each with a rune that allows him to port to each one, that he keeps in his inside the pockets in his jacket. There is also a pack that he will to carry some more knives and some standard things like pencil, pen, paper, compass, water, some things of food, googles,mand things for basic first aid.

I guess he's about 5'5". He'd have a standard Lunar guard chestplate and leggings on and a simple short sword at his side. He'd also have on sunglasses.

5,10, built well, but not buff, wears a purple shirt with his red vest on top, wears saggy white trousers and has his spear strapped to his back, a leather belt with small booze bottle attached is also on his person.

Wiser, Dean, Lightning, Star, Dual, and Xereth, you guys are in. I'm sorry to those who didn't get in but I could only fit so many into this thread. I really do apologise, once this thread concludes I'd be happy to run it again with those who missed out if they so desire.

He'd be around 6'2, well toned, wearing a strong leather armor with a crossbow strap slung across back, a quiver of around 10 bolts. A small knife strapped to his leg underneath. A dark cloak for warmth, and a small sack with essentials, water, food, compass, pencil, and a piece of flint.
