PostSubject: A Land of Fire and Grimm   Sun Oct 23, 2016 7:41 am

"Of the four kingdoms that strive to survive against the Grimm that haunt them, Equestria is the most well populated, and the easiest to live within. However, it is not the largest, instead, that title goes to the land of Arcadia, sitting to the far south. Primarily desert, the populace have been forced to adopt an extreme form of the Equestrian hunter system, with every citizen required to learn to hunt and defend their cities." The man with short brown hair smiled as the hull of the Damocles Class Cruiser rumbled, before looking around the room of trainee hunters and huntresses. "As such, and to maintain a strong connection between our two nations, we trade trainees such as yourself as a sort of cultural exchange."

"If you care to look out the window, you'll be happy to see just one of the many, many varieties of Grimm that haunt these lands, known simply as Cassowary," he explained, gesturing to the large glass pane on the port side. Below, a group of bird-like Grimm were keeping pace with the airship, the long, bladed spikes that rose from their heads bobbing as they ran. "They, dear students, are one of the more common varieties of Grimm, and they enjoy hunting in packs."

"Indeed they do," came a new voice, as a young-looking man with a pair of curved horns and fluffy white hair stepped into the room, a silver staff strapped to his back. "My name is Shatter Stroke, a pleasure to meet you all. I'm a teacher at Arcadia One, the first of the city-colleges that float across this great land," he explained, before gesturing for the group to follow him. "If you come with me, you'll be able to see her come into view. I'm told the first time you see her, she's quite spectacular."

The group of young men and women were led upstairs, to a viewing platform on the deck of the ship. As the ship sailed forward, there was a glinting over the horizon, before a huge, floating city came into view. It hovered low above the ground, a dozen huge thrusters moving it ponderously onwards. "Now then," Pariah spoke, interrupting anyone who was still gazing at the monolithic structure. "you are technically not in teams yet. But, I believe Shatter has an exercise for when we arrive, that will split you up quite nicely. Until then, relax, take in the sights and try not to think about all the Grimm down there are more than happy to kill you."

Just a couple of quick ground rules:

1. You need to post within a week of GM posts.

2. No Godmodding.

3. Please post your Character Sheet, Semblance and Weapon below

Towards the front of the car, leaning against one of the beams in between the windows, a girl with snow-white hair, looked out onto the barren landscape they were traveling over and grinned. Home sweet deathtrap, she says to herself as the turns the weighted quarterstaff around idly, resting the top of the hook end against the ground and letting it go, idly batting it bat and forth using the broad head as a pivot for it. Crikes, but it never changes down here, not that I'd want it to. People get fat and happy and weak without something to sharpen their edge against and the cities are mighty safe. Too safe. Bloody Grimm don't stop a second getting older, stronger, and harder-hitting and it's damned hard to keep the cunts down in the sand if we don't give them their daily dose of hot lead and cold steel. She tilts her head back and forth, it making light cricking noises as she casually pops the joints in her neck, and her eyes' focus slips from the Grimm outside to Shatter Stroke inside and she catches at her quarterstaff to follow him up the stairs and to the top to see the floating city coming into view. She grins and chuckles when Pariah tells them to enjoy the view and not think about the Grimm trying to kill them. "Well, ain't it our jobs to think about the wankers down there? Or at least our jobs when we get started and moving on bein' for-real hunters and huntresses? Sure bet they're thinkin' about us in their itty-bitty bird brains an' how they'd like ta be up here eatin' our entrails all hot an' steamy. So mebbe we spend some time thinkin' about them and how we'd like to be down there crackin' heads an' making the lot think lots less eagerly about comin' up top and having a row with us."

Name: Verde Tin
Age: 24
Appearance:

Link to Default Character Sheet: http://ocroleplay.forumotion.co.uk/t4-character-threadfor-fimfiction-net-approved-characters-only#26
Semblance: Conservation of Energy Verde's semblance is effectively 'always on' whenever she's wearing a series of ordinary-looking metal rings on her fingers. The rings collect kinetic energy every time she moves her hands and she can trigger these rings to release the energy all at once or one ring at a time. Her goal is to eventually replace the simple single bands with rings that are several entwined bands making up each ring, allowing her a dramatically greater capacity, but it's a goal that's a long ways off since crafting each ring would be a very intricate and lengthy process.
Weapon: Melee Mode In its melee form, Verde's weapon has the appearance of a quarterstaff about as long as she is tall. Its curiosities are that one weighted end has a forked hook and the other a bent two-tine fork, making it look like an extremely long crowbar.

Gun Mode When triggered to become a projectile weapon, the hook end folds down and extends into a heavy stock and the bent end drops down and bends into a very heavy bipod. The rest of the weapon shortens, thickens, and reconfigures to become the boxy chamber and assembly of a heavy machinegun and a heavy ammo box swings down off the side with ammo stringing up into the weapon itself. It's fired by gripping the handle under the barrel and bracing the end against the shoulder. The rounds are all 12.7x119mm armor-piercing incendiary (API) and it has a capacity of 100 before it needs to be reloaded.

A little farther down the ship's railing, and leaning out over it with a wide curious grin, was a red hair'd youth. Her wide, red iris and pupil'd eyes watched the herd of grim closely while one hand scribbled down continuous notes in a small book that the other hand held up. Her outfit consisted of a tight, light and white undershirt that clung to her lithe body underneath a black with purple accents vest-like garment that had a long tail section designed like the back half of a full length skirt. Below that and visible from the front were a pair of mid thigh length purple shorts that sported a couple belts and straps. On the sides of her hips were a pair of katar gauntlets that seemed designed to be easily put on and removed. Scarlet barely even seemed to notice Shatter's words as she continued to scribble in the little book, an okay sketch of the grim being the first thing on the page with multiple scribbles of notes being jotted down all around it. In between a couple of paragraphs though, Scarlet did distractedly ask, "what was that about teams?" without taking her eyes off the grim.

Character sheet: 5th entry on my one post here: http://ocroleplay.forumotion.co.uk/t4-character-threadfor-fimfiction-net-approved-characters-only
Semblance: shadow manipulation and illusions.
Weapon (melee): A pair of gauntlet katars.
Weapon (ranged): the katars when in melee mode have a pair of small barrels along at the base of the blade's edge, but the blade can split down the middle to reveal a larger gun barrel. The smaller guns along the sides of the blades are fully automatic small rounds firing sub-machine guns, while the blade split revealed guns are large caliber semi-autos.

A large cloaked and hooded figure stood on the bow of the ship a lone vigil as it stood at around 7ft even. it looked into the cabin of the ship peering in at all the new students as it wondered to itself the frail balance that kept them all united. It moved back to its post leaning on the rails and a soft whistling of a tune could be heard by all whom were not in the cabin.

Weapons/Armor: he carries a large Maul that has a deployable spike otherwise it works similarly like a large axe he can swing this with ease despite the size and weight. In place of his left arm there is a Vulcan cannon firing a 20mm API round it is belt fed from a ammunition box on his hip usually carrying 500-800 rounds at any given time. He carries two 500 round boxes and one 800 round box. His armor is thick enough to take light arms fire with no problems what so ever but large caliber and armor piercing rounds pose a slight problem dependent on where they concentrate their fire

The look on Shatter's face when Verde started talking was a mixture of shock, confusion, and intense displeasure, and he groaned, rubbing his face gently. "Oh dear god, you're one of those," he mumbled before straightening up and looking at Scarlet. "Teams? Oh yes, they will be determined shortly," he replied, before gesturing to Arcadia One. "Once we arrive at the city, you'll undertake my little test, and based on that we'll split you into teams, and pairs inside those teams will be expected to work together for the duration you are here, and for the remaining time of your schooling back in Equestria. Anything to add Pariah?"

The young teacher looked up from the cup of tea he had pulled from... somewhere, and shook his head. "No, that just about sums..." The ship rocked violently as it started to turn, and Pariah's cup of tea vanished again. "Well, apart from, as the rest of us are likely wondering, what the bloody hell was that."

Shatter however looked just as confused as Pariah, and pulled out his scroll, tapping in a number. his conversation was lost in a rumble across the ship's hull, before the turrets visible from the deck whirred to life, the distinct sound of shells being loaded echoing outwards. "Well," Shatter spoke finally, looking east. "It seems my test may be unnecessary. Everyone, better get your weapons ready. It seems the Battleship Elizabeth II has come under an unusually heavy assault, and we're moving to assist."

It was at this point an unusually dressed girl emerged from the door behind them, her outfit consisting of a pair of stockings the rise to her mid-thigh, whilst her arms were wrapped in a pair of gloves that resemble ribbons; winding their way up her arms till they reach three quarters of the way up her bicep. Her waist was clad in a pair of tight shorts, and her chest was covered by a long coat that separates at her hips, splitting into four pieces of fabric that are distributed evenly around her in a faux dress. The entire ensemble was primarily white, and she moved across the deck as if it wasn't rocking wildly, apparently entirely unfazed by it. "What's going on?" she asked softly, barely even audible above the general clamour, running a hand through her dark blue hair.

When the ship shifted so, Scarlet scrambled to keep hold of her book and pen, and then clutched them close to make sure she wasn't going to drop them again. As soon as the ship's rocking stopped, she stowed the supplies away for safe keeping before turning her head towards Shatter to listen to Shatter's announcement. Scarlet was sliding her left hand into one of her gauntlet'd katars when the new girl emerged from below deck and looked over curiously when she asked about the situation. "Seems like we're going on a rescue mission right off the bat, or something of the sort," Scarlet replied as she double checked the weapon to make sure it was on securely and everything was functioning. "Another ship's under attack and we're going to help."

Verde notices him rubbing his face and groaning in distress and she grins brilliantly. "Oy, do ya think mah accent ees a bit too much, guvnuh?" she inquires, her eyes dancing with mirth at his displeasure. "Or would ye prefer dat I speak in somethin' a wee bit more musical an' flowin'?" It's clear that the accent, trading in first for a bad approximation of the more Cockney sound of a dockworker, and then something barely approaching Irish, is calculated more to be irritating than reflect how Verde actually talks. The impish grin and twinkle in her eye lasts only until the ship rocked violently as it was thrown into a sharp turn, and then Verde becomes all-business. The grin and twinkle vanish, and she turns to look exactly in the direction of the nearest turret being uncased and loaded, her eyes focused and tracking the sound, locating it and visibly consulting her memory for its meaning and implications. She doesn't reply to Shatter or seem to notice the new participant, instead turning to walk to the nearest railing and twist the handle of her long and unusual-looking staff to trigger its transition into the ranged weapon form. As the staff shortens into something more stubby and boxy, as the ends fold into a stock and bipod and a feeder assembly swings down to one side waiting to receive an ammo belt, Verde braces it expertly on the side and reaches into a long pocket that runs down her side, withdrawing a long series of bullets linked with metal and bearing the bright red seal around the cartridge rims that indicated the bullet was armor-piercing incendiary. She leans over and expertly lowers the long belt into the cartridge box, moving it back and forth so the belt stacks neatly and fully inside, and then raises the chamber cover so she can feed the cartridges in and then lock them down. She pulls the charging handle and leans down to check her sight picture. Her hand not occupied with holding the gun reaches for a small screwdriver with a sunburst bit pattern and then holds the tool in her grip comfortably, waiting for developments.

He fed the line of ammunition into his left arm from the box mag on his belt, as the Vulcan cannon that replaced it whirled it into place, as the ship jerked beneath him he stood strong and unmoving. He flexed his right hand grumbling about bandits and their foolishness. He looked out towards where the ship was heading and slowly walked towards the forward bow his cloak covering most of him. The students could now clearly see him as he stood ready to face whatever lied ahead. He spoke into his comm’s loudly enough for most of the students to hear “Will the most battle experience among you please come to the forward bow”. Though this might be quite intimidating as he was still cloaked and stood at least a head taller than any of them.

"All hands brace," came the warning over the speakers as the ship began to accelerate properly, the hull beginning to rumble again as it picked up speed. Shatter glanced at Gar'Vak as he spoke, but said nothing for a moment, before nodding. "All students confident enough to go into combat, please move to the front. If you are not, we will not punish you, but you should know that you will not be facing Grimm in this battle. Our foes today... are mortal," he paused and looked around as several students stepped forward, including the strange young woman. "Levi, Gar'vak, you take these two," he pointed to Scarlet and Verde. "You form Strike Team Alpha. You four," he gestured to another group. "You're Beta, and you four are Delta."

As the rocketed through the sky, the young woman, Levi, looked at the three other members of her team and gave a curtsy. "A pleasure to meet you all. My name is Leviathan, Levi for short." She pulled out her blade in a single smooth motion, the dark blue weapon singing as it arced through the air, before it transformed into a bow. "I specialise in gravity fields," she continued before looking at the trio. "What about you... and your very big guns."

Once introductions were done, the group would effectively be forced to be quiet as the noise of the engines overwhelmed any further attempts to speak. However, they would not have to wait long, the battle quickly coming into view. The Elizabeth II was the first thing to come into view, the nearly five hundred metres of shining white steel and curved marble of her hull listing drunkenly as she turned to face a trio of much smaller ships that fired upon her. The battleship had clearly seen better days, but she was still in fighting condition even as the cruisers charged towards her.

They were painted a dark grey, with enormous red Zs painted across the hull. "Damn rebels," Shatter muttered, before turning to his three teams. "Alright, listen up. Alpha, you'll be led by Pariah for this mission. Your objective is top board the ship to the far right, designated Rebel 3, and disable it in anyway you see fit. Beta, you'll stay here and repel any borders, and Delta and I will head to the Elizabeth to shore up her defences. The rest of you, stay below deck."

"All hands to battle stations, I repeat, all hands to battle stations. All personal above deck, prepare aura to prevent hearing loss. Main guns firing in thirty seconds." Even as the announcement came over the speakers, the unbelievably massive main cannons of the Elizabeth II spoke, and one of the rebel cruisers vanished in an explosion of smoke, the sound of the explosion and screaming metal reaching them seconds later, before the cruiser, hull twisted and shredded by the guns, emerged from the smoke. Fire bellowed from the gaps in its hull, before it crashed into the sand below, a second explosion tearing what was left of the ship apart.

"Oh, one more thing, all of you." Shatter said, looking at the skies. "If you hear what sounds like a giant bird screeching, just... hide. Do not engage, under any circumstances."

Verde glances over at her when she identifies herself as 'Leviathan'. "I see the analogy," she says, her light touch of an upper-crust British accent sounding much more natural to her than her exaggerated attempts at accents before that had been for the apparent purpose of irritating Shatter. "I dare say we shall be grateful for you when things become difficult; even short-term manipulation of fundamental physical forces can severely alter a situation, if applied intelligently." She turns back to looking down the barrel of her weapon. "I am Verde Tin. I'm called 'Day' as a nickname but would thank you not to use it until we are well-acquainted and friendly. I call this weapon a Model Two, at least the projectile version of it, and it's best suited for putting fire on a position where ranges are known, although moving to a more active combat role has necessitated reducing its capacity for automatic fire. My semblance would be too complicated to explain in detail but in short, it allows me to conserve the kinetic energy of every movement of my hands and arms and then release the stored energy in a direction and intensity of my choosing." She smiles. "As I said, glad to have you on, Levi."

Verde braces against the railing as their ship's guns swing around and begin making the fine adjustments to blast one of the harassing cruisers. She looks towards Shatter as he tells them to avoid shooting at giant bird Griimm and to in fact hide from them. "I don't suppose that shooting wide of one from the deck of one of those rebel buggers to get it to thrash them for us is a viable option?" she asks.

"Scarlet Writ," the katar wielding girl replied as she continued to fiddle with the weapon covering most of her left hand. Eventually she seemed to find what it was she was looking for as the blade part of the weapon split down the middle and separated to reveal a noticeably larger gun barrel than the two little ones on the sides. With a gleeful expression on her face at the success of getting her weapon to switch forms, she hurriedly grabbed up the other one that was still resting on her belt and shifted it too. "Oh, and my semblance is shadow manipulation," she said as if on cue right before the shadow she cast solidified to solid black and then rose up off the floor while her red eyes glowed brightly. This shadowy doppelganger was soon joined by a couple dozen more, seemingly several for each member of team alpha, though each and every one sported a set of wings regardless of whether their owner did or not.

"So do we want a diversionary force while we make our approach?" Scarlet asked before they took off, but already poised to have the shadow force fly high and noticeably towards their targeted ship while the actual team flew up to it from underneath. Whether it was used or not, Scarlet would be grinning as she took to the sky on her own wings, weapons at the ready to meet their first target on the enemy ship.

He called out "Scarlet Writ have the Delete repeated copy's of myself join you and intercept any hostile forces in-between us and the ship keep the airspace clear for our arrival then join us as we board" He turned to the rest of the team "The rest of you with me" then turned to Shatter his cloak moving with him exposing his more metal parts "I require a boarding ship and a pilot for myself and the rest of alpha team"

"Gar'Vak, was it?" Pariah walked over to the group, only to pause and look to the guns that lay before them. Anyone who had failed to prepare their aura would be deafened, the suppressors designed to reduce the noise of their ships main cannons only reducing it to non-damaging levels. The shells fired reached out, slamming into the second cruiser and blowing away its forward guns. "I'm in charge of this squad, not you," he continued, before shaking his head at Scarlet. "Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, I'm afraid we're going to be a little more stealthy than that. Besides, the cruisers have slightly more important targets than a single ship."

Leviathan chuckled, her natural Australian accent starting to bleed through, a side effect of her nerves. "Mate, if you want to die trying to pull one of em down onto yourself, you're bloody welcome to try. Just don't do it whilst I'm on board, alright?"

Pariah nodded, before looking over the edge of the ship. "Alright then... everyone get ready to jump in..."

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

"Now!" He shouted, before leaping over the side. Leviathan followed suit, apparently having no qualms about leaping off of a cruiser floating high above the surface. Assuming the rest of them followed the pair, they would find themselves landing on the deck of a much smaller ship, not much larger than a bus.

"Oh, I have no intention of pulling it down on me," Verde chuckles, almost unconsciously bracing her aura against the deafening recoil of the big guns near them. "I don't think I'll be around when it works out who pissed it off, but I'm sure it'd like tearin' our enemies apart for us." She shrugs. "But if it won't work, it won't work, and I'm perfectly happy with gun work. It's my reason for being."
With the short conversation with Leviathan finished, Verde joins Pariah at the railing and as he does the countdown, she turns around with a controlled almost mechanical precision and faces her back to the railing. As Pariah jumps, she leaps over backwards and then kicks the outer side of the railing to throw herself clear of it and make her rotate face-down in midair so she can see where she's meant to land. She then tucks into a ball and rotates so her feet are first and completes the fall, then spreads the energy of the impact by letting her momentum roll her forward a foot or two before she comes out of the landing on a knee, braced, with her Mark Two ready for a target.

Scarlet pouted a little as her offer to help was so casually dismissed and with the shine leaving her red eyes, the shadow images of everyone disappeared without a trace. "if we end up getting shot at on the way over..." Scarlet grumbled quietly to herself while Pariah was going through his countdown, but when the others started to jump, surprise suddenly covered her face. "Oh hey, wait for me!" She called out before running over to the edge of the ship and jumping off after them. As she fell, Scarlet's wings spread out to slow her fall to the point where she landed near gently on the deck of the other ship.

Neither Pariah nor Levi landed as dramatically as the rest of the squad, and Levi shook her head quietly. "Buch of bloody show offs," she mumbled, though it was lost in the rumble of the small ships engines. Rebel 1 banked as it turned towards the Damocles Class Cruiser they had been aboard, though with its main forward guns disabled it had little chance to do any real damage.

"Elizabeth II, be advised that myself and a squad are moving to disable Rebel 3, so be careful with your firing solutions," Pariah shouted into his scroll, before chuckling at the reply. "Alright, all of you, gather up. What we are about to do isn't exactly on the school's curriculum."

The ship rumbled beneath them as they passed under Rebel 1, the ship too focused on the Damocles. Pariah gave them the finger, before they emerged from the shadow and the ship powered on towards the third cruiser.

"I don't suppose grabbing this thing's main batteries and shooting their buddies in a shocking apparent betrayal would work out as a plan?" Verde says as she tilts the Mark Two up and in a safe direction. "Or ram it into them and leap off in some kind of dramatic movie-esque display of pure bloody awesome?" She sort of grin, making it clear that her suggestion isn't a serious one, before looking at Levi. "I don't suppose that gravity field specialization of yours can be used to put some undue strain on what's keeping this bugger aloft? Can't imagine the thing's built with grossly excessive lift abilities, after all."

Scarlet kept silent for the moment as she braced herself on the ship's deck, her eyes solidly fixed on the enemy ship they were approaching. Her fingers drummed at her sides, hovering just over the weapons that were still resting in their holsters now. Her ears twitched at Verde's comments, showing that she had actually heard them but her face didn't shift. "So are we going to split up to cover more ground or stay together for safety once we board that enemy ship?"

From within the ship the rest of the group landed on top of, a figure rose, any noise it made doing so masked by the gunfire and engine sounds around it. It turned its head to the sides, taking in the surroundings of which there was very little to note, except for an access hatch in the ceiling of the ship which would lead it to the source of the sudden noise, disregarding the current skirmish that could clearly be heard outside.

The hatch opened, and any who looked would see a human-like figure walking up and on to the roof. However, the person was obviously not normal. It was chrome for starters, and looked to be entirely made of a smooth metal - even the short hair was made of metal. It also looked like it could have been designed to be a feminine man, or a masculine woman, but it clearly lacked any kind of distinguishing features. The androgynous being was left just that, androgynous.

It turned its head to face the group and stared with bright green eyes, looking almost too real but closer inspection would reveal that the eyes were too, mechanical, and oddly enough it had no mouth, but just a continuation of the smooth metal that coated the rest of its body where one should have been. A brief pause occurred and then suddenly, from Pariah's scroll, a voice which somehow suited the metallic being spoke. "We would be appreciative if you could give us some information on our whereabouts, the current events happening in our direct vicinity, and the reasoning for why you are currently standing on this transport vessel."

Levi smirked at Verde's question, her eyes sparkling in amusement of her own. "Now that... that would be a brilliant plan." She looked at Pariah expectantly, who sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Please?" She begged, giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Very well. In addition to the normal clearances on your ability, you may use it to disable the ship as you see fit." He glanced at Scarlet and nodded. "And we'll be staying together. Our ride won't be hanging around for very long, and we'll only have one shot at getting off that ship once we're done."

He blinked at his scroll, then at V9. "Oh, it's you... I forgot the Arcadian's had you coming in for testing. Everyone, say hello to V9. That's her name, and designation by the way. Uh... well, we were redirected to assist with a rebel attack, so I'm not 100% sure on where we are right now, which is also why we're here. We're going to raid that cruiser over there, and do everything we can to disable it. You should probably stay here..."

As Pariah was explaining things, Levi watched the cruiser thoughtfully. "So, what are we gonna do about the point defense systems?"

Pariah spun, blinking rapidly. "Oh... shit."

It was in that moment that the point defense systems on the cruiser opened fire upon the tiny ship, filling the air with a storm of rounds...

... That suddenly dropped, slamming into the earth below, sending a huge cloud of dust into the air. "Just kidding~" Levi smirked, sticking her tongue out, and striking a fabulous pose.

Verde's reaction to the appearance of V9 was, given the fact that she was carting around a long box-fed machine gun and in the midst of a fight, fairly predictable: the emerald-coated mare swung the gun around and steadies it roughly an inch from the... robot's? face. After a split second, her mind registers that the faceless automaton is exceedingly nonthreatening and she moves the gun back to a more sensible direction. "V9, you say?" She eyes the machine that Pariah had called female and gave him an odd look before returning her attention to V9 "her" self. "So which of the previous V's actually had a face? You're kind of a chrome dome, hun."

With her focus so much on the entrance of V9, Verde was a step or so too slow to catch on to the point defense comment that Levi had made, at least not until the girl had impishly caused all the projectiles to crash to the earth instead of fly at them. She glance at Levi steadily before smirking. "I think I like you, like alot, but if you do that again I think there's a high chance of a brown alert interrupting the fun."

Scarlet was left eyeing the new appearance silently and curiously as V9 made its presence known on the deck. Her head cocked to the side in a questioning glance before it shifted to shock when Verde leveled her portable cannon of a gun at the thing. Mouth open and agape at the hostility, yet the matter resolved so fast that she didn't get the chance to really say much of anything, once again just leaving Scarlet in a sort of stunned silence to where she simply pulled out one of her katars and began fiddling with it to make herself seem less awkward.

"...Are we even in any real danger?" Scarlet asked when she finally stopped her scared flinched pose at the shells that were present in the sky one moment and then gone the next.

V9 stood completely still while awaiting a response, with only its eyes moving between the people in front of it as if it were scanning them. However, as Verde pulled her weapon on the robot, a shield formed out of its left arm, and a sword extended from its right hand, and after a moment the weapons took a different appearance to the rest of the robot, looking far more basic and run-of-the-mill - the shield carrying the Arcadian emblem on it. After the gun was pointed away from V9, the robot graciously nodded towards Verde, "Removal of the operational end of your weapon from our being is appreciated, as is the information regarding the current situation."

V9 then looked at Verde and tilted its head, "By 'V' we assume you mean Version, and by face we also assume that you mean the common features present in the facial area, such as a mouth and other orifices. V5 was the latest version to have those features, they were proven to be design flaws and subsequent versions were created without them, as communication through other means was possible." The chrome being slowly turned back to Pariah, "Our protocols put priority on the protection of our creators and those of their choice and affiliation. With the information you have given, the order to 'probably stay here' is contradictory to our protocols, as it would mean allowing you to continue forward into certain danger without our assistance." When V9 quoted Pariah, it was as if the very words from his mouth were played back perfectly, "Also we are neither a he, nor she, but if you wish to assign a quick, easy and simple term for which to refer to us, we will add it to the list of words used to refer to us."

Levi giggled at Viridian, before clutching her stomach. "Yes well... I do try not to do it too often," she managed to say, before dropping to her knees. Pariah caught her hair, holding her in place as she vomited over the side of the ship. Pariah nodded at Scarlet, helping Levi to her feet.

"Yeah, I'd say so. Levi can't do that indefinitely, and as you just saw, it takes a toll on her body. So, do try and be careful," he warned, acting as a pillar for the young woman. The ship rocked, and Pariah blinked, glancing as they got ever closer to the remaining cruiser. The battleship and the cruiser that they had ridden in on were beginning to retreat, putting distance between them and the rebels.

He groaned at the robot, before nodding. "Well, I mean... you could be useful, but if you get damaged, the higher ups will have my head..." he trailed off. "V9, do everything in your power to make sure we succeed in our mission. Understood?" he asked, before turning back to face the rapidly approaching ship.

The rest of the journey was quiet, before the ship roared over the top of the deck, and Pariah smiled. "Alrighty everyone, prepare to jump. I can't promise a quiet landing though." he smirked, before blinking aas Levi leapt over the side of the ship, freefalling towards the deck.
