Tea Leaf gave a slightly amused snort. "I wouldn't say I raised Purse as much as I did unleash her on Canterlot... they never knew what hit them." He chuckled as the little thestral apparently said something to take the gambling pegasus by surprise from where she was; while he was watching them he saw Sugary Market waving and gave him a wave in return, gesturing for him to join them for a drink if he was so inclined. "No, she raised herself, all I did was give her a better way to aim her own talents. Honestly I don't think I really taught her much that she wouldn't have figured out on her own..." His eyes were slightly misty as he spoke while looking at his daughter.

Razor snorted. "I wish. She's setting me up with a desk job practically." She said as Bronze shook Viridian's hand, the calloused and firm handshake of her real hand familiar.

"Oh stop exaggerating." Bronze tutted, picking up a whole wine bottle from the table and a basket of fruits.

"It's the truth. She doesn't trust me as far as she can throw me without Tea Leaf glued to my side."

"Luna could probably throw you pretty far." Bronze pointed out with a shake of her head. "Sorry to grab and run Viri but there's a pool outside calling my name, nothing like a late night swim." She waved to her and walked her way out the large backdoors of the ballroom and towards the swimming pool.

Razor groaned and leaned back in her seat. "She's trying not to look at Tea Leaf again." Razor said under her breath, sounding exasperated. "Honestly, she's got nothing to feel sodding guilty about!"

Purse giggled at Cheshire's second outburst cutting off the otherwise refined and gentlemanly stallion. "And hello to you too, Cheshire I assume." She said quietly, placing a small platter sausage on her finger and thumb. "Yeah, dad plucked me right off the streets of Trottingham good as; not every stallion who'd adopt the filly that just pinched his wallet."

She flicked her fingers and sent the sausage flying into the air, leaning her head back. "Still... wouldn't change it for the world." She said, easily catching the sausage between her sharp teeth and swallowing it down in two bites. "So, how do you know dad? He had you and that weird stallion with the guitar specifically on the list."

Wild Card nodded and raised his glass to Purse. "Cheshire's the name, something something yada yada is my game. I need to work on what my game actually is, but hey, the skeleton of the phrase is there." "Madness, perhaps? Absurdity. Vulgarity. Take your pick, there's quite a lot that can be said to sum you up, Cheshire." He stated, giving a sly smirk at the end just before drinking again. "And you stole from him? Well that's not something you hear every day." The pegasus sounded, again, rather surprised by the knowledge that someone stole from Hoodwink.

"How do I know Hoodwink? Well, we both frequented casinos a lot in the past," Wild finished off the rest of his drink in one go, much to the dismay of the more sensible of himself, "Y'see, we both in our own ways took money from them. My way was legal, his wasn't. However, I was out in the open being seen taking money, and he wasn't, which was for the best honestly when you think about it. Either way, the casinos lost money, and funnily they often lost it both ways at the same time, leading to amusing conversations between your father and I afterwards. They get angry at me for winning at the front, he robbed them blind from the back. Wonderful." Wild Card explained happily with a sigh and a smile, "Though it was off and on, couldn't win too much in one go or else I'd have been banned. So I stayed away from the casinos long enough for it all to pass... then I started it up again." "As for the... weird stallion with the guitar over there... We haven't a clue who he is."

Indicus finally arrived though without any sort of carriage or escort, it was really the reason why he was late. Indicus entered the castles doors and handed the guard his invitation.

He was dressed in a black and white Celestial era (Victorian) suit, a quite plain choice of costume but it fit the old Vampire stories to the letter, hanging off a leather sword belt was his personal blade, a fine if plain weapon made by some of the best pony, dragon, griffin and minotaur smiths outside of Equestria. To tie the ensemble together was a smooth black wooden cane and his natural fangs. Though to most he would seem a unicorn just using a glamour rather then a Threshal that just happened to have a horn instead of wings

Indicus looked around the manor/castle spotting no one that he really knew outside of hearing their name once or twice, making him wonder why Purse Cutter decided to invite a old solider like him. He guessed that Luna or one of his old acquaintances decided to bump his name up to get him out of the guild hall.

Deciding it didn't matter Indicus walked up to the buffet table and took a couple of eclairs and assorted snacks, walked to a corner and watched hoping to perhaps learn a bit about the other guests from a distance before approaching.

Poppy hummed, her arm around Sweet's waist, the little mare nibbling at a sweet pastry she'd had Poppy get her, the two seeming to just be enjoying the atmosphere. But Poppy's keen ears picked up Bronze mentioning a Pool, and she looked at Sweet. "I figure we both need to cool off a bit, yes?" She purred softly, kissing the little mare's forehead. "C'mon, let's follow that mare to the pools~"

"Alright...I hope the water isn't too cold..." Sweet mumbled, letting Poppy lead her along after the tall Thestral, the little mare's blush having finally faded, as most people were dressed up far more than she was.

Sugary eased up when the spider was removed, no longer worried he'd have to smack it out of his face if it tried to run over his eyes. He sighed and then chuckled at the mare but looked over her invite with curiosity. "... Huh... Why didn't I get one like that...?" He genuinely wondered what sort of connection Morbid had with Tea Leaf or Purse as he asked in a low voice, more to himself than her. "Maybe mine got lost along the way...? Wouldn't surprise me..."

Not really giving further thought to the invite, he instead stood straight and strummed the Ukulele again with a grin. "Well, pleased to meet you, Miss Morbid, The Mad Scientist~! Guess you'll be wanting to be on your way then?" He looked to the dining tables, where it seemed a good chunk of the guests had been gathering so far. "I just wanted to check on you, but I do have someone I wanna catch up with... Still, I'll be around all night if I can. Feel free to poke my shoulder if you feel like this stallion suits your fancy." He gave a light bow, and was about to make way over to Tea Leaf, though he did look over his shoulder in case Morbid actually wanted to talk to him more than meet several of the other guests grouped in one area.

The bandage-covered wolfess looked around the inside of manor, almost immediately spotting Shanny that was sitting shyly in a corner and trying to be out of everyone's way, apparently somewhat succeeding for now. Tabi then soon finished up her drink and went back to the tables, pouring a random wine into her glass again before beginning to wander around the manor again. She almost completely missed Half Moon's smirk, seeing it at the corner of her eye. At first she thought it wasn't even intended for her, since there were so many guests that there could be someone behind her that the pony was smirking at. Nonetheless, she returned a smile before sipping the wine. "He may come after me if he really wanted my attention..." Tabi thought before beginning to wander around, first making her way to the back of the room where Purse said keys where. Though, upon her arrival, it would seem that the zombie-looking thestral who was guarding the keys was currently busy chatting, so the wolfess decided to lean against the wall nearby, sip her wine and wait a but close to them.

Asking him to define Chosen One? Why he could have spluttered if he didn't have superior control of himself. The Chosen One was simply him, and he The Chosen One, any definition failed to meet the destiny he had.  “It is an idea older than Equestria. Upon the eve of a penultimate crisis, there will be a hero to guide the way, do what is needed. only they have the skills and the blessings needed to save us all. What they are chosen for is rarely known to them. To that end, I try to remain knowledgeable of all potentially destiny-laden backwaters. Amidst preparing for what may come.” He waved his hand dramatically, as if that one gesture dismissed all ill in the world. "Would you not wish to be ready for the legend of the next legendary hero?"

The declaration of his purpose done, he could inquire more about the mare and her work. “Has her highness Luna provided any input on the subject? I'm sure they are an expert on the moon by now.” Blue was happy to make light of the once mare in the moon.

"Canterlot would get awfully smug and stuffy if it didn't get regular medicinal kicks in the plot from a Hoodwink cutting their purses, or swiping shiny objects they shouldn't have from their homes, or liberating bits into the hands of the destitute, or pruning the bad fruit from the apple tree," Lunara says. "I'm grateful to ponies long since passed that when I was brought into the Inquisition, it had a long tradition of upholding pure, as opposed to legal, justice. If not for that insight into what justice actually is, I'd be trying to arrest Hoodwink in blind pursuit of the letter of the law, having no other concept of what justice could be." She sips and then swirls the wine in her glass, looking a little saddened by the idea. "I wouldn't be sipping wine with you now, nor welcome at any party you or your daughter held. I'd be trying to cage a good pony instead of letting her loose to reach the bad ponies the laws can't hold. I would be blind to all of the good that is done in the world outside the law, sometimes against the law, and would never have developed a spirit of inquiry that seeks truth. And I have all of this because a good pony laid the foundations of a legacy that outlived her, and created a mantle to pass from one generation to the next, each upholding the precepts of that original pony to prove their worthiness of the mantle." She reaches over and lays her hand on Tea Leaf's. "Never underestimate how much of you is in Purse. The long journey of life is such that deviating only a fraction of a degree from the proper course leads you unfathomably far astray. Even if you only aimed her gifts properly, you're the whisper in the back of her mind nudging her towards being a good Hoodwink."

"I can't imagine you being given a desk job, dear," Viridian chuckles. "Mostly, I can't imagine Luna trying to tie you down that way. I mean, I've tried a few times and it usually involves broken furniture and damage to the walls and ceiling. I'm sure Bronze is right, that Luna trusts you far more than you think she does." She taps her chin. "Although I'm just now picturing Luna picking you up and throwing you, and it's an awfully funny mental image."

She grins at her lover and watches Bronze make her excuses and head out towards the pool. "Um, should I be going after her? A pool and a full bottle of wine isn't the best combination, especially when you have a dead weight attached to your shoulder. It's even a worse combination when you feel guilty over something." She looks at Razor. "Although I don't know what she thinks she has to be guilty for. He seems very happy, is all misty-eyed over Purse, has a lovely mare--a judge, as I understand it, and one that seems fond of him for some reason--keeping him company, and he passed on the mantle to someone worthy of it. He seems to have everything a stallion could want except wild adventures." Her expression flattened a bit. "He even buried a problem that's dogged his steps for most of his life, and did it for the best and noblest reason as I understand it." She shakes her head. "What does Bronze think she did or didn't do that she has to be guilty for?"

As Indicus expected none of the conversations really interested him making the stallion wonder why he came. If it was anything close to the Gala then he would stand in a corner drink a mug of cider or some other basic drink, alcoholic or not and wait for the night to end getting back to his responsibilities the next day. Sometimes he wondered if he was invited because of his ironic distaste for the life of the wealthy despite being quite wealthy himself.

Indicus finished what he was eating and walked to get himself a glass of cider before walking back to his corner drinking his chosen drink.

Razor sighed and rubbed her forehead. "No, trust me unless you want to see her start turning on the waterworks and leaving it's best to leave her alone. She's not stupid, she won't get drunk before she goes in the water." Razor assured Viridian, sounding very exasperated. "Besides, there's more than just her going out there look. She'll be fine."

Razor looked like she wanted to avoid the question of what she should be guilty about but quickly decided it wasn't worth the effort. "Look, it's really stupid, but when we went on that... well, our last journey as a group, Bronze got into a fight with Diamond Tip and he got the better of her. I mean it didn't matter, you and I and Tea Leaf, we all know that... but Bronze has got it into her head that if she'd just beaten him there Tea Leaf's knees wouldn't have gotten fucked up."

Razor took a swig of wine. "It's why I'm not going out with Purse on her journeys anymore either; Bronze stopped because she felt guilty about going out on journeys while Tea Leaf's walking on a cane, and Mentorn still isn't talking to us. So, I had to play sodding therapist." Razor grumbled; she didn't feel that it warranted saying that she hadn't been very good at that.

Tea Leaf sniffed and quickly removed any trace of his misty eyes. He didn't even need to wipe his eyes, he simply melted into a more neutral, cheery demeanor in an instant, as if like a chameleon changing it's colours.

"Well, I suppose." He shrugged, then laughed when he noticed Sugary approaching. "I'm sorry Sugary but I don't think we ordered a sing-o-gram." He laughed at Sugary's getup. "Sugary, no offense, but what in the name of the daftest part of Tartarus are you wearing?" He asked, then looked at the instrument. "And why are you learning to play guitar?" He asked curiously. "Please tell me you're not going to become a bard..." He added, with a semi-serious look of horror on his face.

As genuine as his jovial nature was, it was plain to see that Tea Leaf was avoiding the topic of Purse and his injuries that Lunara had been pursuing in favor of something more light hearted.

The pool was rather simple, which was just how Bronze preferred it; a large white space of marble had been built directly into the grass outside with several (at this time) unnecessary sun loungers and beach chairs set up around it. The pool itself was illuminated from below with what looked like a pool floor made of luminous sapphires, which made the whole pool glow a very ethereal blue.

Bronze picked a lounger and removed her costume, not even noticing Poppy and Sweet as she fumbled with parts of the aviator outfit, the tunic in particular seemed to be unwilling to come off as she wanted but she finally removed it; her bikini was plain and black, showing the tall mare's curves as well as a long, jagged looking scar down her left side, though she seemed not the least bit self-conscious.

It was only when she leaned over to produce something from her jacket that she noticed Sweet and Poppy and jumped slightly, placing her real hand over her heart. "Oh! Sorry... didn't notice you." She spoke with an irish accent and seemed friendly enough, offering them a smile as she produced what looked like an overly long latex sleeve which she began to apply over her metal limb.

Purse Cutter laughed as Cheshire introduced himself. "I'd go with absurdity, it's a fun game." She grinned at him, listening as he described how he and her father had worked together, though she knew bits and pieces.

"HAH! Legal theft, I love it." She grinned, raising her glass as if toasting him while she cast her eyes around the rest of the room, looking everyone over, her eyes lingered on Tabi and the new arrival before she turned back to Wild Card. "Sounds like you'd like a friend of mine, she used to run an outfit specifically for clearing out those nonsense casinos where the house always mysteriously wins. You'd put her out of business." She chuckled, topping off Wild's glass.

Poppy grinned as Bronze jumped at noticing them, the Sphinx already in the middle of removing her jewelry. "Perfectly fine, ma'am, we didn't make an effort to be noticed." She said with a warm smile, before humming softly as she finally got the last of her golden accessories off, snapping her fingers, a ripple of magic passing over her dress, and it shifted, vanishing and leaving the Feline topless, clad only in a tight pair of what seemed to be latex shorts, her B-cups bouncing as she wiggled her sandles off, her lithe, toned form with flenty of pur and ever-so-barely plush.

Sweet, however, was blushing softly and looking between the other two mares, seeming a little embarrassed to see Poppy's bare chest, as well as Bronze's own curves. But Poppy soon kissed the little mare's forehead and smiled. "C'mon, gotta get dressed, right?" She asked, stopping some protests with a finger to the Bat's lips as she slowly slipped the snowy mare's shoes off, before sending a ripple of magic down her dress, the young mare's blue-and-silver dress fading, replaced by a bikini that was a navy blue, the Sphinx showing off her magic, of course, as well as making sure Sweet's small, plush form was practically on display.

Poppy then giggled, her feathery wings shuffling as she slowly strode past Bronze to slip into the water, purring at the feeling of the water cooling her off. Sweet, however, slipped over to shyly look at Bronze's Arm. "Prosthetic?" She mumbled quietly to herself, before blushing. "Sorry, I just...I haven't seen one made of actual metal before, the last one I saw was... Stone."

With a little grin, Sugary accepted Morbid following him for now, trying to be mindful of how and when he got to Tea and his chatting companion, but it seemed he took notice of him first, which made him scrunch his muzzle and then cock his brow and grin at the elder Thief. "Bah! First time in a while we meet, and you can't even remember the difference between a Ukulele and a Guitar? I hope you've not gone senile in your early retirement, Mr. Leaf!" He then looked around, between Tea and Lunara, and Morbid, and took on a much more serious expression as he placed the Ukulele next to his face and strummed it quickly yet briefly. "... And Bards mainly use Lutes... But my heart never ceases to sing for life!"

In a simple act of spontaneity, he effortlessly made a double kick into the air, twirling with the grass skirt, and landing on a single hoof while the other leg was left stretched out -away from their faces of course- with the same serious expression... until he smiled and blinked. "... And I'm wearing something comfortable, thank you very much." He lowered his leg and strummed lightly, looking at Morbid. "By the way, this Rascal of a stallion is Lady Purse's father, and an old... traveling companion of mine. If you want to meet new people or ask for directions, he's sure to spin a tale or two for each."

He then looked over to Lunara with a soft nod. "Good evening."

The 2 kept eating thier tower of food to thier hearts content, the pile starting to shrink as they ate, savoring the flavor as they also looked around att the other people invited to the party, that is untill a loud crunch was hear from pyro's side and a "hurk!" as he swallowed.

His face started to turn red as he got from the table and started to flail as it was revealed he accidently ate something to spicy for him to handle as he tried to open his mouth to speak, "smoke" would come out similar to how it would for a dragon, all the while cryo sat there laughing his butt of att his companions missfortune

Nox remained stoic, but in her mind quirked an eyebrow. The stallion talked of The Chosen One as somepony destined to save the day, to be thrown into the midst to save all, yet he claimed to be on the lookout for such oncoming disasters. As if he didn't trust Fate as much as he claimed, and was actually trying to be a "Chosen One".

By the definition of "Chosen One", they are chosen, they do not claim the role themselves.

As Nox grabbed a donut, she took notice of an overwhelming ego from the stallion, and frankly with such an ego she wondered how she hadn't detected it before. She gave an obviously insincere smile at his joke. "I'd recommend not poking fun at such sensitive topics unless the victims of said topics have given you express permission to do so. It's quite rude. And I have never had the privilege of meeting Princess Luna myself, so no."

Blue actually took the time to read Nox’s expression, or the lack of it. He was capable of such things after he stopped paying attention to himself. It was not at all a stunned silence. “You may wish to join my detractors, I understand that many do. But you are a smart mare, so try to look at it from the perspective that I do. Things are never given, just taken with permission. To be chosen you have to put yourself in the position to be noticed. Take your studies of the moon, have you even tried to make contact? Her highness could never give a reply to query that has not been made. If I do not apply for the great task ahead, it will not be bestowed upon me.”

Blue laughed and shook his head at the idea that he should have any care for Luna's feelings. “Of course, you would not call it a privilege if you had experienced her stubbornness. She likes to do things in her own way. I could not stand more than a few sessions of the mare’s court.” The Chosen One sighed, able to taste an air of nostalgia. “I've given up on orbiting a princess with the hopes of gaining something. It is rather immature to cling to others for prestige when you can win it yourself. I am in an advantaged position to help and wish to use it.”

Wild was quite happy at the reaction he got from his explanation as to how he and Tea Leaf knew one another. He smiled at Purse and gave a little bow, "The best way to thieve in my opinion. I'm not exactly good at remaining unseen prior or during the parts where you get the money. I'm more the kind who is able to run... or rather fly away from trouble after it occurs." The pegasus responded, giving the thestral a small thank you for topping off his glass

"A friend of yours used to do that? How in Equestria would you? Unless you had more with my talent it'd be quite hard to get any kind of substantial money out of a casino. Unless of course, you go your father's route and simply steal it." Wild said after taking another sip from his glass, noticing how Purse looked around the room and taking the time to do so himself. He noticed many costumed ponies, specifically one dressed like a filly's idea of how a princess should look. The diamonds, the tiara, the enlarged (and fake) wings. "Still, it's nice to hear how much you enjoy the idea of actually beating the casinos at their own games." "Yeah, if they didn't want to lose money, why'd they make it possible for them to do just that?" "I think that's the thing... they don't make it possible." "Then why do we keep winning- oh right, the talent..."

Half Moon stood up slowly as he placed the mask over his face and began to walk towards the wolfess in bandages, leaving an empty plate behind him. It was good, but he didn't wish to get anything too sweet, just yet. Time for it later. He only changed his course by moving to the table filled with drinks and poured some red, berry something something wine into two glasses. He turns with them, taking deep breath and starts to move towards the wolfess. Time to get into social contact... Darn.

Half Moon offered the glass to the Wolfess in bandages with slight nod. "Even as my costume might say otherwise, I don't intend to poison you. Even... What's already dead can not be killed by such of common ways." he said as he held the glass towards her. "Nice costume, in common language." He continued. Was he making himself a fool, he had no idea... But hey, he still had the mask on. Everything was fine. That was the point with masks, to mess around and next day be like nothing had happened. The masks would cover the fuck-ups. The plots. The secrets...

Tabi could almost feel someone's eyes on her, but that was a given at a party, looking around swiftly and catching Purse's short stare on her. She curiously shrugged before looking back at Razor, leaning against the wall and gently mixing the wine in her glass as she waited, losing her attention to anything around her and merely focusing on that thestral in a zombie costume. This was very unlike her, to focus on one thing alone and completely forget about her surroundings. Even when hunting for meat she would always make sure to pay attention to area around her, not just her prey. And that mistake soon made her almost jump as the blue pegasus suddenly started talking to her. "Whu-..ah!" she said, almost dropping her glass of wine. "Oh, uhm, uhhh... thanks." She said in response. "You too." She said and smiled and took the second glass, finishing her own first and setting it aside to get a free hand before extending the said hand in order to shake Half Moon's. "So, what's your name then?" She asked and smiled.

Shanny only ate a few small bits of food before she made her way outside again. While the interior of the manor was large enough for her to fit in comfortably, she felt like it was too stuffed with so many guests. Even when her employers would have just a few more guests over, she would've always waited outside and do the work around the house instead until the said guests left. And so she did, walking through the giant double doors in the back, making her way around the manor and ending up at the pool again, her maid costume very out of place by that point. She sat down by the pool, observing other partygoers inside it.

Nox actually did raise an eyebrow this time. “Does Celestia not do things her own way? I thought Equestria followed her laws, and not the other way around. Why should her sister, her equal, not do the same? I mean, that’s not to say that I think Luna should act entirely independently of her sister. Obviously there must be agreement between the Diarchs.”

Nox was liking this Blue character less and less. Firstly he clearly did not understand what a “Chosen One” was: they were chosen by higher powers, they did not give themselves such power and importance just because they thought highly of themselves. Secondly, he just admitted to clinging to the coat tails of the Princesses for power and importance instead of a genuine desire to aid Equestria. So this is the Canterlot nobility she’d heard about before? That’s what she had to assume: caring more about wealth, power, and image than the well-being of others.

Nox grabbed the biggest plate she could find and started piling food on: whatever looked or smelled good, including- wait. That was an unlit candle. She put that back, trying to suppress an embarrassed blush. “How exactly do you want to use the power you seek?” she asked politely.

Indicus found particular interest in the debate like conversation between a stallion dressed in some mock armor and a mare dressed as the grim reaper. He had been listening in for a little while now and found the topic of "Chosen One" to be quite interesting, though he leaned towards the view that the Chosen One position was non-exsistant and the "Chosen Ones" just were at the right places at the right times and the stories knew Chosen One sounded better then Unlucky Bastard.

He still listened even watching as the mare furiously grabbed a pile of food and almost took a candle before placing it back on the table causing a chuckle to make its way from his mouth.

Viridian snorted. "I'll give the smarmy amoral shit this: he knew he dare not fight Hoodwink or any of his companions fresh. When she's ready to hear it, she needs to know that she's so good that Diamond couldn't have done shit about her until he wounded and wore her down. Best attracts best, and Tea Leaf is the best, so the best followed him around." She sighs. "But I know what it's like to feel totally irrationally bad about something that wasn't my fault or anyone else's."

She smirks a little at Razor saying she has to play therapist. "I think you don't give yourself enough credit, love. I'm pretty sure you pioneered the secret art of therapy with a smack upside the head, and are its sole practitioner." She rights herself and slips over to the drink table to grab a wine bottle and a glass. She returns with them, starts to pour, then shrugs and puts the glass down and swigs from the bottle itself. "I heard Purse got herself a vineyard. Itty bitty miss if-you've-got-it-flaunt-it, with heterochromia and twice her weight in smug."

"You need not merely suppose it, Tea Leaf, I assure you that it's completely true." She turns and looks at Sugary with an expression that broadcasts quite clearly that she's entirely at a loss for words at his appearance and the instrument he grasps. "I must admit, Mister Market, that I've heard a great many stories about you but I have absolutely no idea what to say about meeting you in person. I believe you're the largest amount of drama, pound for pound, I've even seen crammed into so much concentrated stallion cute." She sips from her glass. "I fear I must admit that I only know your surname, Mister Market, but have never heard your first. I also have heard from an oddly cheerful mare with so much body art that I don't believe she actually has a coat color anymore, that you are called 'the Gallant Tantalus' and I never thought I'd ever heard the word 'gallant' applied to the name 'Tantalus'. Do you know the tale of Tantalus, Mister Market? It's really quite illustrative, enough that I feel it's appropriate to apply an old Saddle Arabian saying to it: if it was written by a needle on the corner of an eye it would still serve as an example to those who seek wisdom." She smiles warmly to the odd stallion in the strange costume, the hand that's not holding the glass resting casually on the lamp secured to her belt.

Half Moon placed the glass of wine to her extended arm. She was meant it as for a shake, he knew it. But with two glasses on hands, he wasn't really able to. So, getting rid of other of the glasses he took a hold of her other arm, most likely left, and shook it. "Name, eh?" he asked. Slightly he tilted his head. "Isn't the idea behind the masks to stay anonymous? But, if it's a name you need, call me Doctor." he said with strong foreign accent. As he said 'doctor', he gave her way too formal bow, taking his hat from head and swinging it to the side. "How may I address you then, M'Lady? As Anubis, or...?" he asked, slight smirk under his mask.

Blue shook his head, he felt he was not being understood very well. “Celestia can be counseled. She is a mare that is pleasant to talk to and of flexible principles when pressured, but unyielding in important points. Would you ever want Equestria to have a serious army? A royal guard is an elegant compromise. She is a standard for all in power to be measured against.” It was a funny notion to him that Luna was even close to her sister in ability to rule. She was not terrible, but The Chosen One was much better. He had his own ideas, instead of having a sibling to cling to. “would you say the princess Twilight Sparkle that got her title in surprising fashion is equal to Celestia merely because they share a title of princess? Her political capital differs too greatly, even should her powers be the same. If Equestria were to spilt, who would follow who would be interesting to see.”

Blue seemed elated to disclose what he would do with power to but Equestria on a better course. “I want to make a world where life is not cruel, and things can be better for all. For ponies to seek their happiness and prosperity as one. I understand the values of Equestria's founding, and wish to promote them to everywhere that will listen. A pony should not be reluctant to share their fortune or even a drink with a neighbour. Not while I have power to change it. Even if it is impossible there is no way to know without those willing to strive for it.  I can give you my full critique of what I would change if I held the authority to do so, but it is dry compared to my mission statement. We could talk in suits over lunch and it would be a fitting tone.” There was a lingering hope she would agree to such a thing, even though it was not a serious invitation. He liked to dress up as those of importance, why would he ever downgrade himself too far from Chosen One.

Blue ignored the overzealously hungry mare’s attempt at grabbing a plate. It would be been impolite to mention it. He just kept his gaze on the mare’s face, so she didn't feel her actions were being watched too closely.
