Razor didn't immediately notice the bike helmet until it hit her on the head with a loud crack, thankfully protected by her mask. Grumbling and swearing under her breath, the thestral bent down to retrieve it but was interrupted when a Nevermore swooped low and grabbed her in it's claws, tearing slightly into one of her shoulders.

"BASTARD!" Razor roared and wheeled around, stabbing one of her swords into the Nevermore's neck with her sword in one hand and beating it across the eyes with the already battered motorbike helmet in the other, making the Grimm caw and retreat from her.

She forced herself to pull her eyes away from the helmet, only to do a double take back to it and look at it; even with her body and head covered her body language made it incredibly obvious that she was thunderstruck. It took a loud crash from above to draw her attention back to reality, as she noticed a Nevermore bearing down on two more ponies.

"Hey you two! Up top!" She called to Sunshine and Castle, sprinting and taking off towards them with a flutter of her wings; she activated her semblance and slammed into the Nevermore bearing down, sending it and herself crashing through another crystal but while she dealt with the immediate problem two more of it's brethren were diving now, a relic clutched in each of their claws and a meal on their minds.

"Given what we know of how Grimm come to be, that's likely an accurate appellation!" Viridian says, smirking as she rises to a kneeling position and waits just a hair of a moment so that when the HEAP hits the Nevermore in the face, it blows the head apart from the shock and then it's midsection explodes from the fuse on the shell going off. "All right there, Miss Back?" she adds as Razor hesitates while staring at the helmet in obvious shock.

Viridian rises to a standing position and pulls the chamber open as she does so. A thumb rotates the shell loaded and then a movement of another finger smudges a very precise line running from the necked cartridge to the tip. She shoves the slide forward to lock the shell in, takes aim, and fires at the Nevermore furthest back from Castle and Sunny. The shell flies most of the distance there before the faulty fuse, sabotaged by smudging the carefully-applied dust-ink mix on its surface, explodes from the friction of the air against it sending what is normally a jet of molten metal splattering all over the Nevermore, bathing it in liquid hot enough to melt steel and do doubt causing it plenty of injury. "I recommend ripping the claws off first!" she yells to the pair. "Don't want to see those artifacts they've swiped get all banged-up and rubbish!"

Wild Card looked up as he drew one of his blades from the back of a Nevermore's neck when the rest of the creatures started retreating, leaving him with a big smile on his face. "That's right, bugger off- oh..." It was then that the pegasus saw the much larger Nevermore flying above and over where he was, with what looked like some strange objects in their talons. Immediately he spread his wings and got ready to start sprinting after them, just as the cloaked mare ran in and out of view, shouting obscenities at the winged Grimm.

Wild looked at Crystal and shrugged, "Sure- Oh fine, run off without me." He said, getting cut off by the unicorn running after the cloaked mare. 'Well this is a nice way to meet a partner. Murderous Nevermore, a chase...' 'Yeah, it's fantastic!' The stallion thought to himself as he propelled himself into a sprint with his wings, giving occasional flaps to either stop him hitting a crystal or to give him a boost in speed to catch up with Crystal, the cloaked mare, and the Nevermore... who he fired upon with his revolver, even though he knew it probably wouldn't do much.

The sight of the Nevermores brought a cheeky grin to Sunny’s face. She took out a small vial of yellow dust and inserted it into the pommel of her sword. The sword then started crackling softly with electricity. “You know, I’ve always wanted to do this.” She took off towards the Nevermore and dodged its attack, getting under it. She then slashed at its wing joints, managing to sever its right wing. Sunny followed the now falling Nevermore and attacked its talons, loosening its grip enough to take the artifact from it right before they both hit the ground because Sunny didn’t judge their height properly. Luckily she just landed on the Nevermore. She picked herself up and gave the big bird’s belly and neck a few more slashes, just to make sure she finished it off. “And I didn’t even need to waste my energy on you. Thanks for saving me the trouble of finding the artifacts, bird. Now, what the heck did I grab?” She asked herself, looking at the artifact she snagged.

Pariah hummed as he tracked the flying Grimm, already nocking an ice-blue arrow. Raising the bow as he walked, he stopped before drawing the bowstring back and releasing, the arrow hurtling through the sky. It punched through the Nevermore's wing, and Pariah chuckled as ice spread quickly across the limb. "Impressed yet?" He asked, glancing at Silver as he began to walk towards where the beast should have fallen.

"Mmmmm... not quite yet. Perhaps later, after we get this trophy. I'd rather not celebrate prematurely," she murmured, kissing his cheek before traipsing off ahead.

[The Hand]
Diamond Mind continued to hold onto the Nevermore with a seemingly iron grip, feeling himself slip into that delicious rage he enjoyed so much. Before it hit the ground, he struck it in the side of the head and leaped off of it, managing to stick the landing without breaking a bone or damaging his aura.

Diamond was now smiling, but it didn't take an expert to tell that it was an instinctual threatening gesture. He activated the wind Dust lining his channels, causing it to glow. He then began to run with an extra burst of speed from the Dust on him, giving pursuit to another flying Nevermore. Any lesser Grimm that found themselves in his way would be subject to a bone-breaking hit and run courtesy of Diamond Mind.

The Nevermore Razor stabbed in the neck was leaking a lot of hate energy and beginning to disintegrate when a purple blast of magic suddenly put a big hole in its neck and took it down immediately. “Everypony who can fly needs to target the Nevermores overhead: those are the ones with the artifacts!” Nox shouted, shooting down another two Nevermore, even though neither had artifacts. “They’re deliberately out of leaping and accurate shooting range, they’re trying to gain the advantage by making you come to them!

“No shit, Sherlock!” Sunset shouted back, shooting explosive fireballs at the Nevermores’ legs. She didn’t really care about killing them, she just wanted the damned artifacts. “We’re not stupid! At least, not all of us.” she muttered. A Nevermore screeched and crashed right at Sunset’s hooves, causing the mare to yelp and leap back. The Nevermore was dead already though, it’s eyes black and lifeless, and was already disintegrating. “HEY, WATCH IT!” she yelled at Fantasy.

The mare was a few yards away, shooting Nevermores with Lightning Dust bullets. “I did!” she replied, smiling innocently.

Sunset scoffed and flipped her off.

Three more artifacts fell to the ground, along with partially-disintegrated Nevermore legs. Once those three Nevermores lost their legs, and the artifacts with them, they abandoned their plan and divebombed the ponies.

Within seconds Sunshine was standing on a small hill of Nevermore dust. She had gained a toy lightsaber for her troubles.

“Sunny, look! They’re coming down now!” Merry said, pointing. “I’m going up!” And go up she did, straight for the closest Nevermore. As she got within range she swung her mallet at its beak, and upon contact she blasted it with an explosion of Fire Dust that destroyed most of its upper beak. The Nevermore shrieked and tried to bite her, not realizing yet that it basically couldn't do that now.

Merry moved on, shooting the back of the Nevermore’s head to propel herself to the next one, which she promptly broke the wing of.

Wild’s shot only really served to irritate the Nevermore; it screeched at him before moving to attack the prey it was already closer to. It didn’t get very far: it fell as a crystal cluster suddenly grew from its neck.

When Wild reached Crystal, she’d be holding a torn and battered Ace of Clubs.

The Nevermore Pariah shot down shattered its frozen wing upon landing, as well as breaking the statuette it was holding. It simply got up, losing interest in the artifact, and hobbled after Sunset instead.

Three somethings flew into Diamond Mind’s view. They looked like seaponies, but… not: they had spines instead of manes and left a faint trail of red as they flew. They were each carrying weapons: the yellow one had a silver-y whip, the purple one had dual black tonfas, and the light blue one had a spear. That was what Diamond would be able to discern from that distance.

There were only three Nevermore holding artifacts now, but they were far above the crystal valley.

Sunny grinned as she extended the toy lightsaber with a flick of the wrist. “Oh, I can work with this.” She took off back into the air, holding both her sword and the toy. As she neared the next Nevermore, the lightsaber became surrounded by a yellow glow which allowed her to use it as a weapon. She didn’t need to, as she perfected her sword constructs long ago, but it just felt cooler this way. She dodged above the Nevermore’s dive and promptly stabbed the lightsaber into its back while cutting off its wing with her sword. After briefly watching the big bird beasty plummet, she joined up with Merry. “Wow, nice work there. It almost seems like you’re a completely different pony than you were five minutes ago. Amazing how combat does that, eh?”

Wild Card watched as yet another Nevermore died via spontaneous crystal cluster growth, a fatal illness, it seemed, to occur to many airborne Grimm situated around Crystal herself. As he got to the mare herself, he stared at the artifact in her hands and chuckled, "Oh, that's amusing of the academy. Tell you what. If I find something crystal-like when I'm up there we can trade, okay?" He said, trying his best not to sound a little scared at the idea of pursuing giant evil murder death hate birds.

The pegasus then crouched and spread his wings, launching himself upwards with a wing-assisted jump to chase after the Nevermore. 'Okay, big bird, big weapon needed, only need to cut off legs, wings could be frozen, wish we could do that with that configuration, but no, fire dust will have to do... if in doubt kill it with fire dust.' Wild thought, sheathing his sword into the tonfa and grabbing the handle of the sword with both hands, holding it behind him. As soon as he clicked a small switch in the sword, the tonfa extended and widened a little, turning both weapons into a single curved greatsword. 'Hope this works.' Wild thought to himself over and over again, letting fire dust run along the edge of the blade as he got close to one of the Nevermore and taking a swing at it, aiming to either cut off a few limbs or at the very least hurt it enough to make it let go of the artifact.

Razor Back ducked to avoid the blast which disintergrated the Nevermore she had been stabbing and, after resisting the urge to throw her sword at Nox in retaliation, she thought about the words she had said and aimed her gaze upwards. Razor Back clipped the biker helmet to her jacket with a carabiner and tapped Viridian on the shoulder, pointing at three Nevermores in turn that were escaping to higher altitude.

Razor Back took a running leap and propelled herself after the three of them, effortlessly outstripping the Nevermores; Razor's aura hardened and formed her impenetrable barrier just as she came in front of the lead Nevermore and folded her wings back, propelling herself at it's face with one mighty flap of her wings.

Razor held her elbows out; they were the first thing to impact the Nevermore at the speed of a speeding car and with the barrier up they had absolutely no give, no breaking bones or pushback against the small thestral, just an unstoppable object continuing to slam the Nevermore down. Letting out a loud screech, the Nevermore did nothing to stop it's descent as it's fellows failed to get out of it's way, both being caught underneath it as they began to fall in a mid-air dogpile lead on by the indestructible thestral.

One Nevermore was impaled on one of the large crystals as it fell, letting out a horrific cawing sound that was abruptly cut off. The other two and Razor hit the ground hard enough to kick up a large shockwave of dust and debris in all directions which soon cleared to show the two Nevermores crumpled on the floor, confused and trying to claw their way back to their feet.

"Waste them!" Razor yelled to Viridian and the others assembled, using her wings to speed away from the Nevermores as fast as possible; though she showed no obvious damage from the crash Razor had no aura at all around her as she sped away, completely exposed to attacks.

Viridian nods curtly when Razor taps her on the shoulder and points out the Nevermores she intended to target, and then she follows the thestral with her rifle as Razor goes up to get her kills, keeping both eyes open so she can spot and kill any Grimm trying to flank her partner or get in her blind spot. She smiles a little as she watches the violent and very rough-around-the-edges Razor do her work and show off her semblance for very impression results. Her reaction to Razor pile-driving the Nevermores into the ground in front of her was to pump several rounds into one of them and then come to her feet, the rifle in her hand and partly shifting down into the naginata form, the trigger guard and stock melting into the handle and the bipod swinging up as the blade to cover the muzzle. As she carries the rifle/naginata with one hand, the other grabs one side of the long armored coat she wears and pulls it open. There's just a bare instant where a dizzying array of professionally-made sheathes are visible before the contents of that side of the coat fly out as the hand that was pulling the coat open extended palm-forward at the stunned Grimm. She makes a fist with the hand as if grasping a sword and brings it across as if she's swinging one, and plenthora of razor-sharp instruments ranging from a clever to a machete to a set of scalpels slashes across the Grimm, leaving dozens of wounds and very nearly shredding one wing. She does it the other direction, ripping into the other wing before she reaches her target and stabs the blade into the feathers and thin flesh covering its forehead, then pulls the weapon downward to expose the muzzle. "Coup de grace, mein freund," she says as the trigger assembly descends and she pulls the trigger, blasting away most of the Nevermore's head. "Wasted!" she calls up to Razor.

"You broke the statue," Silver noted as she approached the downed Grimm, quickly chopping its head off before picking up the pieces of the artifact. "You think this will still count?" she asked as she tried to put it back together.

"Well, I mean, there's little choice for them I think," he replied as he dropped down and nuzzled her cheek. "I mean, I don't think they're going to fail us for a broken artifact if we have all the pieces of it with us," he murmured, pulling the silver mare into his lap and nibbling her neck.

She squeaked and looked around. "Really? Here? What if more Grimm come?" She asked, looking around nervously.

"We'll be fine I think. This whole thing can't go on more too much longer," he whispered in her ear, before turning her head and kissing her.

Diamond Mind began to slow down as he ran out of air Dust along his Dust channels, the exhilaration of speed leaving him. As he slowed down, he felt the rage begin to subside and clear thought returned to him. He saw the three strange seaponies, causing him to blink a few times to make sure he was comprehending what had just flown into his view.

Diamond Mind erred towards the cautious approach, moving closer to them at a slow pace, prepared to dodge, deflect, and weave around attacks. "Hey, are you three students here? And what are you seaponies, if you actually are seaponies, doing up on land? I thought it wasn't healthy for seaponies to be on land for extended periods of time."

The “seaponies” were too far away to hear Diamond Mind. Either that or they just didn’t care to respond. Shining Light rushed past Diamond without a word, running after the trio and carrying a load of… things, in her magic, above her head.

“I suppose?” Merry said to Sunny in her posh Canterloin accent, and shrugged. “Anyway, there’s a third Nevermore incoming and I think I’m going to smash-blast its skull. Do you want to chop off its wings?”

“Um, this valley is made of crystals. I doubt you’d find- aaaand he’s gone.” Crystal rolled her eyes and simply jogged into the clearing where everypony else seemed to be gathering. They’d find the partners they would group with there, surely. Then she saw that Wild was flying toward the Nevermores high in the sky that obviously had artifacts, went “Oh,” and ran after him, in case something went wrong.

The Nevermore Wild swung at spotted him at the last second. It screeched at him and pulled up just fast enough to avoid his blade while at the same time smacking him with its tail hard enough to send him tumbling backwards. If Wild didn’t recover, Crystal would catch him with her magic.

The impaled Nevermore immediately let go of its artifact, a broken toy crown clattering to the ground in multiple pieces. The other two Nevermores thrashed about, one launching its artifact high into the air while the other ended up burying it under itself. Neither lasted much longer after Viridian was done with them, though. Now there was a lot of Grimm dust around, as well as an artifact buried under a large mound of dust.

“Fantasy!” Sunset shouted over the commotion. “Everypony else has this Nevermore situation under control! We need to go back to the pillars to get artifacts!”

“What? We can’t just abandon them! Situations can turn on a dime, what if something-” Sunset ran past her, heading back for the artifacts. Fantasy growled and ran after her. “Are you actively tuning out what I’m saying?!”

“Yep!”

Fantasy growled and ran after her, grumbling all the way. “Gotta be freaking kidding me, she had better get better at listening to her teammates or I swear I’m gonna smack her over the-”

“IEEEEK!” Both girls shrieked, having run into just the right place to chance upon Pariah and Silver. Both mares skidded to a halt. Sunset’s jaw dropped and she looked equal parts shocked, disgusted, and ’seriously?!’; Fantasy looked completely scandalized, like a 10-year-old who caught their parents in the act rather than a grown mare chancing upon strangers. Neither mare spoke.

Cinch and Inkwell watched from above the valley, Cinch using opera glasses and Inkwell using a telescope: a dark blue thestral and bright yellow pegasus each took down two diving Nevermore and were heading for a third. A dark blue pegasus in a formal suit (she’d make sure to talk to him on proper armor) got smacked down rather hard by a Nevermore’s tail, only for it and its two companions to be pile-driven into the ground by the thestral thug, who was somehow not dead from what she’d just done.

An artifact went flying, the dark unicorn mare kept blasting Grimm, the… sirens were approaching the groups of ponies, with two more unicorns trailing behind them (Was this going to become a school for criminals? Was that Celestia’s grand plan for this school?), Sunset Shimmer and… the brown-maned mare were running off for some reason, and then they ran into-

”WHAT IN EQUESTRIA ARE THEY DOING?!” Cinch shrieked suddenly, nearly causing Inkwell to drop her telescope in surprise.

“What, who?” Inkwell asked, concerned.

“Those two ponies! In the valley! The one who’s- the ones who are- WELL JUST LOOK!”

Inkwell did look. It took her a few seconds and a few false alarms, but she did find what Cinch had screamed about. “Oh dear…” she said.

“‘Oh dear’ is an understatement!” Cinch barked. “They honestly think they can do something like this in the middle of initiation, during school-”

“Well, technically they can, as they’re not on school grounds and they’re consenting adults.” Inkwell interjected. “And… there’s no rule against it… but I honestly never expected somepony to do something like this in the middle of initation…

“Wha- you can’t honestly tell me you’re going to let them get away with this!”

“I’m not going to stop them, if that’s what you’re asking. However, I will dock points for reckless behavior.” Inkwell said, writing something down on a clipboard.

“Good.” Cinch said, finally calming down. It’s something, at least.

Many things went through Wild Card's minds as he watched the Nevermore screech and pull up. 'Did we actually hit it?' 'There's nothing falling off.' 'I think something went wrong.' 'Oh shit that's its tail.' and finally 'Ouch.' as the large Grimm smacked him with its tail, almost making the stallion lose his grip on his weapon. Wild started spinning in the air from the blow but soon corrected himself as he fell, readying himself to try again before watching the three large Nevermore collide with one another, get impaled and generally have a bad time on the ground. "Oh..."

The pegasus slowly descended to the ground feeling rather embarrassed at the fact he was just bapped aside, muttering to himselves until he got into earshot of the others, at which point he just spoke to himself in one voice. "Well... that didn't go as planned. It's good that my Aura is pretty powerful or else... Hm." He said to Crystal, pushing a button on his weapon to turn it back to just the tonfa and sword, which he kept sheathed as he noted how the Nevermore were quiet literally nevermore. "Still... I'm not dead. So hooray for that... I'm rambling now, just to keep my mind off the fact I royally buggered it up there, don't mind me." He continued, sounding incredibly embarrassed about the fiasco even though his face showed no sign that he felt that way. "Wild Card's the name, by the way. Seeing as we're partners now, also it's why the card artifact caught my attention. Also don't worry about me not being able to handle myself, I'm a fine fighter... just not against that big of a Nevermore it seems..."

Pariah didn't stop the carnal act that he and his fiance were engaged in as they were discovered, only looking up at the girl to stare at the pair of mares, eyes commanding them to walk away until they were done. Once they were done, and cleaned up, Pariah waved the girls over. "Sunset Shimmer, Celestia's personal pet project and... I don't know you, but a pleasure to meet you regardless," he didn't bother extending a hand. "My name is Pariah, and this is my fiance, Silver Star," he paused to let the mare wave. "I don't suppose you have an artifact as well do you?" he asked, clearly unphased by the fact they had been caught.

Diamond didn't even let Shining Light past him, casting a single spell on her that would slow her down immensely if she didn't immediately shift all of her focus to defending herself with magic. Of course, in order to do this, most unicorns would have to go from carrying things with their magic to defending, so she'd drop what she was carrying. "Ahem. It's not very polite to not at least say hi to a fellow classmate, especially a team scavenger hunt."

Alternatively, Shining Light might have been the kind of unicorn that could manipulate multiple things at the same time and cast spells with arcane magic. Diamond would respond by clotheslining her by easily moving 4 steps ahead and pretending to stretch. If he happened, to say, break a certain holy necklace in the process, he didn't mind. Here, he instead would say: "I apologize, I didn't see you there as I was stretching and testing a stun spell. You should know better than to sprint near me~"

Razor Back had perched herself on top of a high crystal the instant she was out of the line of fire, staying crouched low and watching Viridian's utter decimation of the Nevermores... or at least she meant to, but from where she was positioned to recover she had a clear view of Pariah's little fun and, well, she was only a pony, one couldn't hold it against her....

"Seven out of ten from me, your performance could be better!" Razor shouted to Pariah before she slid down the crystal with her wings slowing her descent and touched down in front of Viridian. The effects of her semblance were obvious, even now her aura was still severely decimated and would barely stop a blade never mind a bullet or a dust attack. "One second."

With a grin Razor turned around and adjusted her mask to zoom in on the cliff where they had come from and, sure enough, found Inkwell and Cinch watching their progress. Doing some quick estimations of the angles in her head, Razor zoomed off to place herself in Cinch's view and removed her mask, looking back at the carnal actions of Pariah and his fiancee before looking directly at Cinch (or as best she could) and making a series of.... interesting hand gestures complete with expressions of bliss and ecstasy before blowing her a kiss and zooming back to where Viridian was stood.

"If you hear the roar of a wild animal in a few seconds that was probably me." She said without clarification. She looked over Viridian's shoulder and saw Wild Card finishing his descent. "Hey, you two alright?!" She called out in a loud booming voice that made Viridian's ears ring from how close she was; with all the chaos erupting around them, staying close together couldn't be a bad idea.

Sunny nodded and flew towards the remaining Nevermore. With almost childlike glee, she once again got above the big bird. It tried to attack her with its beak, but she kicked it away and proceeded to use both swords to slice off its wings, leaving it to plummet towards Merry. “Incoming!”

Viridian blinks as she watches Razor mime masturbating in the direction of the high cliff and eyes her. "Dare I ask why you're pretending to pleasure yourself when you know that the Cinch bitch is watching?" she asks. "I understand defiance and 'trolling' a person but I imagine there's only so much baiting of her fellow administrator that Inkwell will tolerate before she determines that harmless making fun has crossed into an unhealthy disrespect for the woman's position. And unfortunately, unwillingness to respect the office even when occupied by a disagreeable person is a problem, and one that the ultimate boss may be forced to solve." She smiles at Razor. "And I'd very much prefer that you remain my counterpart for the challenges ahead. We seem to work well together in combat, although I should like to never be in a position where I have to watch you get yourself killed because your semblance blasted away all your aura without you noticing."

It was a minute later of contemplation, after Razor had yelled to the other nearest ponies, that something Razor had yelled earlier clicked. "So that rather handsome sort rutting that highly attractive made was only seven out of ten?" She thinks a moment. "And dare I ask what a ten out of ten would look like?"

“You’ll learn.” Crystal said simply. She held out the card to Card and said, “If you like it that much, it’s yours. You’ll probably handle it better than I will.” The poor card was all bent and torn, nearly in two battered pieces. “Well, what’s left of it, anyway. Need something to turn in. We also need to find our pair to make our team. I’d prefer not to have to be assigned to anypony.

"My name is Crystal Sparker, by the way."

“AH-HA!” Merry shouted triumphantly as she hit the Nevermore with her hammer and at the same time blasted its head away with an explosion of Fire Dust. She flew above the falling, disintegrating body and met Sunny for a high-five.

Right out of the blue Shining Light toppled over and lost her magic hold on all of the artifacts she’d been carrying. She suddenly felt as if she were trying to move through concrete mix and almost couldn’t move her legs at all. “What is this?!” she shrieked, facedown against the crystalline ground. “Who are you?! What did you do?!”

Shining Light had dropped a quill, a plastic crown, a Celestia plushie, a hand-held mirror, a kaleidoscope, a steampunk Grimm statuette, a fist-sized rock with a black galaxy spiral carved into it, a bright green Nerf gun, three sea shells, and a large quartz crystal.

The Sirens continued on without her, oblivious to her plight.

“Dear Celestia…” Sunset muttered. She turned and left slowly, slightly dazed and frankly trying to keep her lunch in. A few seconds later she came back to drag a petrified and scandalized Fantasy out with her. Now they were heading for where the artifacts had been.

“Dear Celestia please tell me those two won’t be in our team.” Sunset eventually muttered to herself.

“They… probably will be.” Fantasy said.

“Oh, shut up.” Sunset snapped. “I didn’t ask you!”

Fantasy rolled her eyes, but before she could say anything Pariah and Silver showed up.

“Sunset Shimmer, Celestia’s personal pet project, and… I don’t know you, but a pleasure to meet you regardless.” Pariah said.

“P-p-pet project?!” Sunset hissed, a flurry of emotions whirling around in her but the most prominent and obvious being disgust towards Pariah and Silver.

“My name is Pariah, and this is my fiance, Silver Star.” Silver waved. “I don’t suppose you have an artifact as well do you?”

Sunset was too busy glaring and fuming at Pariah and Silver to answer them. Fantasy didn’t really want to speak; she merely shook her head when asked about an artifact.

Razor’s little display was the last straw for Cinch. Shock, disbelief, disgust, and rage all appeared one after the other on her face in less than a second, and then it was all wiped away and replaced with an expression that was neutral and indifferent everywhere but the eyes. The eyes were… frightening for an old mare as petty and crotchety as herself.

Very well, Miss Razorback. she thought, If you insist on toying with me, I’ll simply have to show you why you have made a big mistake. She turned her attention from Razor and to the less infuriating and more promising students.

Wild Card nodded and sighed, "I suppose I'll have to." He replied, looking surprised at Crystal offering the artifact to him but accepting it anyway, "Really? Thanks, and yes, it looks like it's seen better days. A card nearly split in half... anyway, right you are, we should get going. Hopefully there's another pair out there that hasn't already seen another... oh..." Wild's voice trailed off as he looked over at Razor, who had put herself somewhere very visible and was currently miming something... rather lewd.

Without warning the pegasus's wings shot out to the sides at the sight, accompanied by Wild's cheeks darkening ever so slightly, "Uh... yeah... we're fine. The only thing hurt here is pride." He called back, only then realising the state of his wings. "This... isn't exactly one of my finer moments... ahem. Crystal Sparker, nice name. Explains the whole, Grimm head crystal explosions." Wild commented, awkwardly turning as he tried to fold his wings against his back. "And that little joke about a crystal artifact earlier might not be out of the question, given there's a card one for me. Anyway, you lead, I'll follow, wings are giving me a bit of a hassle..."

Diamond Mind walked up on Shining Light, making sure she could see his face as he took the fist-sized rock. "I see someone forgets who her religion tries to assassinate. For shame, Shining Light, one should at least remember the names of their enemies." He moved behind her, gripping the back of her head and rubbing her face against the ground. "See, I'm a stallion who doesn't much appreciate it when some stupid religion decides to encroach upon his family's personal egalitarian system in the name of a mare who is nothing but ashamed to even look at the zealots who tarnish her name." He pulled her face up, chuckling as if he were enjoying this a little too much. "See, I get why you all don't like it when ponies eat meat. It looks weird. What I don't get is isolating an entire section of ponykind and saying that they're demons. My mother happens to be one of those so-called 'demons' and she's got a better moral compass than your entire cult."

Diamond made sure as he was holding Shining Light's head up, she got a good look at the sirens leaving her behind. "See that? Your teammates don't care about you. You're just a tool to them. They don't actually need you." He leaned really close to her ear. "I bet your own mother doesn't even actually love you. She'd probably kill you if you even looked a thestral in a manner even slightly resembling desire. Anyhow, I'm going to take some of those artifacts you're hoarding and redistribute them. Have fun with the Grimm by yourself." He pocketed the rock for himself, picking up the nerf gun, the quill, the plastic crown, the celestia plushie, and the kaleidoscope, looking for other ponies to give the artifacts to.
