The Heroes of Equestria, The Bearers of The Elements and even The Chosen Ones. All of these are names that the ponies of Equestria have attached to the six brave mares who wield the Elements of Harmony and protect the land, led by Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Even with the Elements of Harmony now sealed away, they continued to protect Equestria and be looked up to as heroes by the public.

And now they have vanished.

For weeks everypony has combed the kingdom for any clue to their whereabouts, interrogated the ones to last see them and even tracked down old friends and rivals to question but still no sign.

Finally, with everyone in Equestria having been roped into the search, a small group may have found the way. In their search, for whatever their motive may be, pride, money, fame, altruism, they will soon stumble upon the truth.

Just out to a small town by Trottingham they had been sent, with rumors of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy having been sighted nearby. For now the group had to stop and lay camp for the night, a miserable night with little moonlight and a dismal rain pouring down on them.

The open fields on both sides of the long dirt path showed no signs of civilization for miles around. Tonight they would simply have to setup camp where they stood, hopefully they had all brought tents for there was nothing around to use as impromptu shelter.

Out in the pouring rain stood a rather dry looking blue pegasus stallion. The reason for the lack of rain hitting him was the umbrella he carried in one hand, which helped keep his formal attire away from the rain. The same could not be said for his black shoes though, as the dirt path had not been kind to them in the ways of keeping clean during the rain. He looked around the landscape, and sighed, before wrapping a wing around himself to take his hat off of his head. Reaching his free hand inside the hat, he pulled out a rolled up tent and quickly placed his hat back on. "Might as well get some sleep." "I'm guessing everyone has a tent of their own, right?" He asked the other members of the group.

Not far behind the pegasus, a unicorn stands with the rain cascading down her, running through a white mane that at some point, had been neatly combed and styled; now, it hangs off her head in sopping disheveled strings. Despite her wet mane making her look miserable, anyone paying attention would note that everything else, from her coat to her clothes to the weapons and shield she has strapped around her, to the mountaineer's backpack she wears, sheds water like it's been coated in wax. She lifts a hand wearing a thick workman's glove up and brushes her mane out of her face. "I did indeed," she says to Wild, not even batting an eye as he withdraws tentage from his hat. "I wish I'd the insight to have brought an umbrella, but a minor variant on a repulsor spell seems to accomplish the end goal with similar aptitude." Her accent is of Trottingham, and of the upper crust of the city, although she looks more the common soldier with an undressed kite shield and clothing more suited to hard, dirty work than the ballroom. She steps to a side and forward, entering Wild's peripheral vision at enough of a distance that he wouldn't be able to ready touch her. "Verde Tin, mister...?"

Rain Splash happily sighs as the rain falls on him, he turns his head upwards letting it soak into his fur, he never minded the rain. In fact he found it the most soothing of all. Not amount of mares and massaging could do what this water from the skies did, his short brown mane lays wet on his soaked fur. He makes sure to step out of the way so nopony else would be held up by his rather odd happiness of the day, a dark blue stallion asks if everypony has a tent, he shakes his head, "I won't be needed one, I'm fantastic." He stated in his usual confident yet rather sarcastic tone, yet he meant no sarcasm anyway, this trait has gotten him into more than one bar fight. His usual leather shoulder pad had been replaced with a similar dual shoulder padded vest, of sturdy leather with a soft fur underneath, along with studs of iron dotting much of the shoulder pads as well as the chest. His sturdy cotton fabriced clothing underneath kept him at least mostly warm, hanging on his shoulder and re-strapping to his waist was his satchel, which held his knife, and his flask. He finds a nice flat and relatively dry spot, he knew the dry wouldn't last long, but he didn't mind. He began looking at everypony else with curious teal eyes.

Lightning had his hood pulled over his head so that it wouldn't get wet. He disliked this weather. It wasn't because it raining or the fact some stallion seemed to have gotten high with it. Exaggerating of course, but with how weird Equestria could be he wouldn't doubt it. He didn't mind about this kind of weather though he would prefer a thunderstorm himself.

It was the fact that he couldn't move a single cloud. The stallion had learned to control the clouds with simply a thought when he was a foal, though at that time it was only a cloud, and now he couldn't move these rain clouds. There was something strange going on in the field. He moved his way up to Wild and Verde to tell them about the clouds when he heard Verde's question.

"His name is Wild plus others and mine's Lightning if you wondering. Also, I would like to say we're are most likely heading in the right direction. There's something about these clouds that ain't right and if ain't right that's where the Elements are. In my opinion at least."

The grey stallion did not wear much in terms of armor or protection. He wore a simple jacket and had a pistol holstered on his left hip with a knife and another pistols hidden inside of his jacket. The pegasus' mane was spikey with streaks of grey and white. He also had a backpack which was filled with a bottle, some extra ammountation, and a metal wire.

Oathbound simply let the rain fall around him, not caring about the rain on his coat. One would think that a stallion with magic like him would just ward off the rain with some sort of magic field, but he was an earth pony before anything and as such, he knew the rain would do nothing to him. Even if he got sick - as unlikely as it was - his amulet would ward off the worst symptoms in it's attempts to keep him alive. Being a pony with an amulet blessed and enchanted by the solar princess certainly had it's benefits.
He was more focused instead on listening to the possible approach of foes. Thus far, nopony had come to face them, but he knew that if the Elements of Harmony had managed to go missing, they were facing dangerous things. As such, he scanned the area, an open field providing no comfort for him.
Then Verde Tin asked a question. He let the others speak up first before speaking himself.
"Oathbound. The name's Oathbound." He clarified in case his first word didn't go through.

Being a stallion of a race known for their abilities when it came to physical labor, Oathbound's muscular body was covered in a simple T-shirt and pants, not bothering to slow himself down with any heavy armor. His mane of crimson red and golden yellow was in it's ever combed state, coming apart at his brow. Being oiled to prevent his mane from getting in his face, it didn't get soaked and the water simply rolled off like from a healthy swan after a raining afternoon.
His amulet glowed slightly, a byproduct of it's enchanted nature and ability to channel magic power like a unicorn through his horn.
His minimal clothing also meant that it would be quite difficult to carry a tent around. Not to mention bothersome.
"I have no tent. But do not mistake that for a request for one of you to share a tent with me. I can sleep in the rain just fine." He said, honest in his statement. He had indeed slept in the open many times before, even before this incident. The only things he carried with him were simple food rations in his pockets, enough for him to last several weeks. But with the others in the group, he expected he'd have to share and as such, they would only last for about 9 days.
The cold was slowly starting to get to him and he began to charge up his magic, letting it flow out of the amulet in the form of warming blue light. The others would get warmed up as well by the glow, as one would expect from one basically letting their power act as a smaller version of the sun.

The area was protected around the group by their various methods and their equipment of course was more durable than what a little bit of rain could do to it. The winds howling around them sounding like a wail from the world itself as introductions were made, surely the open area should have meant that the wind was nowhere near as inconsistent and gusty as it was, pausing and resuming as if it were getting caught up on something or struggling to keep the pace.

A short time passed with nothing too eventful, just the horrible weather and their compatriots to occupy themselves until morning came. After they had been settled however a low sound came to them through the wind, a gentle whisper of the wind so quick they may have even imagined it, a sound like a voice... just for one moment.

"Heart..."

"Oath, are you really sure you want to sleep in the rain?" Wild asked while finishing off putting up his tent, using both hands as he held his umbrella in one of his wings to keep him dry. Then the stallion heard that one word, though he merely shrugged as he constantly heard conversations in his head due to all his minds living lives in there. "Anyway, if you do decide to get out of the rain, my tent is large enough for two." "And we can make a wall so nothing gets awkward. Plus that amulet heat power thing is going to be useful in this weather."

Wild then folded up his umbrella, placed it inside his hat, opened his tent and sat down underneath the cover it provided. Idly, a purple pack of cards slid from his sleeve, and the cards themselves floated around him, each with a strange symbol on their face which glowed with a faint purple light, before forming into a platform in front of the stallion. Taking out a deck of regular cards from his hat, Wild then laid out a game of Patience to pass the time for a bit and possibly join in a few outside conversations if there were any, as there is only so much you can say to yourselves.

"Mister Wild then," Verde nods. "A pleasure, sir." She turns to Lightning and then Oathbound, giving both a polite nod and a smile. "And a pleasure to make the acquaintances of your fine selves as well, sirs." She draws a two-person pup tent in its waterproof baggage from her mountaineering pack and begins to set it up, unhurriedly spreading it up and using aluminum stakes through loops to secure it in place before running flexible rods up the bigger loops that pulled it into a dome shape. She stops in this effort, however, when the whisper of the wind said the word 'Heart', her eyebrows furrowing. She turns to look at Wild. "Excuse me, sir, did you say something about a... heart? Or... some word like that?" She turns to the other two. "Or did either of you?"

Fantasy had tried to remain optimistic. She had tried ever since the Element bearers went missing, and she got dragged into a random group of ponies and color-changing dragon. But sometimes, optimism just isn't an option. Particularly, when you lose your group on the way to Trottingham, somehow encounter Timberwolves (which she could've sworn were native to the Everfree Forest), fail to bash them apart for more than a minute, and when you finally think to set them on fire, have flaming Timberwolves chasing you and nearly fail to stop a forest fire.

Fantasy had been through too much shit today, and shit hadn't even started. And now, of all times, chance had decided to put her under a freezing cold rainstorm. While she was starting to shiver, she figured the rain might help douse the remaining embers from the fire several miles back, depending on how far back the storm was actually reaching.

With her mace over her shoulder, and her dark blue hooded cloak on and covering several scratches, a few bruises and burns, and a lot of soot, Fantasy trudged along a dirt trail in the middle of seemingly nowhere, that she had no idea where it would lead, but she hoped led to at least a small town.

Luckily, it didn't take too long at all to find another group setting up camp for the night, some pulling out tents, some content with an umbrella or simply nothing at all. She was slightly disappointed when she realized it wasn't her group, given from the lack of a dragon, but she was happy to find ponies at all.

Pushing thoughts of possible hostility aside until proven accurate, Fantasy picked up her step and speedwalked over to the group. She slowed down and stopped a short distance away, clearly visible, but not intimidatingly so. Unconsciously readjusting her grip on her mace, she gave a small wave and mumbled, just loud enough to be heard, "Um, hi."

Rain Splash shrugs his large shoulders at Verde, "Hell if I know, I thought it was you." He pricks his ears and looks behind him instantly groping for his blade as he sees the mace, but her voice stops him, he calms himself releasing the grip on his blade as the same hand waves at her, "Um hi right back at ya, come. You look cold, Oath here has a warming charm that keeps us toasty, you are welcome to join our...." He searches for well over a minute at exactly what to call themselves, "Merry band."

He starts walking towards her after getting up off the now rather damp ground, "I'm Rain Splash, and you are....?" He leaves the question hanging, much like his extended hand.

((Young Light))

Walking about under the rain on his lonesome towards the path out in the open from seemingly nowhere, a Young Sugary, lost and somewhat confused with a worried and serious expression, kept walking on and on in the hopes of finding others... and answers to the questions in his mind.

In his right hand, he wielded a toy-like looking thick gren and gold wand in design with a blue mouse head shape; Though it was quite solid in fact, and likely made for a good bludgeoning weapon. At the tip of it, he had a constant Light spell focused, letting him see in his chosen path in an otherwise too dark of a setting between the night sky, the clouds, and all the rain. On his left hand, was a crimson and black shield with the same mouse symbol on the center of the shield as the wand, though it too was crimson.

To deal with the rain itself, he had cast a barrier around him as well so as to keep from getting his gear wet and heavier, not to mention that he simply could not risk catching a cold in what was so far in his mind the middle of nowhere, and wasn't feeling up to the task of testing the reliability of his First Aid items with no real direction in mind still.

Fortune would finally smile upon him once he saw someone using magic as well as some others over in the distance in a tent and around it with some light of its own. Feeling hope return, he quickened his pace, raising and waving the wand overhead of his own pink aura lit horn so as to be seen from a distance as he approached, a bright smile on his face the entire way.

When he finally did reach the group, or rather, Oathbound once he got close enough, he took a brief moment to catch his breath, though it was clear by the speed at which he spoke afterwards, that he seemed to be in a hurry still... However... "A-Alo! Mira, llevo mucho mucho rato que voy caminando por este territorio desde que fui teleportado, y estoy perdido. Trato de buscar la fortaleza de los Mercenarios de Tantalus e-en Lindblum. S-Soy miembro Novato de ellos, y necesito regresar con ellos pronto." As if it wasn't awkward enough that the the stallion that showed up spoke with a foreign accent and language, it didn't help that he had taken out a map from a magic bag strapped to his waist in a soft flash of light and was trying to hold it in front of Oathbound and anyone else who might be close enough to see it under the barrier with his shield arm, yet it wasn't a map of anywhere in their world. "Por favor, ayudeme..." His expression, though clearly still showing a hopeful smile, also held pleading dark brown eyes that sought sense and understanding.

On top of the unusual way in which the youth had appeared before Oathbound and the others, there was also the fact that he was... quite short even with the gear he had on, though unusually well built despite being a unicorn at first glance; A sign that this was no casual youth. Standing at only 5' 3" tall, wearing a mostly red with black light upper armor, red baggy shorts, light multicolored leg guards over his hoofed legs, red wrist and forearm guards, a light colored cape with matching handkerchiefs on the hips, and an open face helmet with several long decorative puffs that looked like onion sprigs also likely gave away the impression that this little young stallion had martial affiliation and training.

Oathbound heard the word 'Heart', though he had no time to contemplate it as a mare walked up to their group. He held his hand up to halt the mace-wielding mare.
"Hold it. Are you a part of one of the groups looking for the Elements of Harmony? What happened to yours?"
Before he could get an answer, a warrior had arrived, wielding a shield emblazoned with the symbol of a mouse and a mace... Staff?
Regardless, the weapon also shared the mouse symbol. He also noticed the shortness of the stallion, at first mistaking the new arrival for a mere colt, yet his well-built stature trumped that assumption.
When the stallion began to speak, he first raised an eyebrow, then sighed.
"I know a bit of Prench, but this isn't exactly in my comfort zone when it comes to linguistics."
He then turned to the group and the tents they'd erected or were in the process of erecting.
"Everypony! There's a unicorn here who seems to be lost. I can't speak this language of his. Does one of you?"
He turned back to the pony and looked at the map closely, only to notice that wasn't a map of Equestria.
"He also seems to have a map of... Well, not Equestria."

Lightning internally groaned as he looked over at the two newcomers. Not only was this plain being apparently haunted, unless things whispering "heart" was going to be considered normal until someone found the Elements. The stallion really hoped that he had been hearing things, but if someone else heard it meant that it wasn't only him. He luckily had managed to set up his collapsible tent, which remind him of a caterpillar, before the arrivals came and made things even more strange. As if his cutie mark being meaningless wasn't enough at this point.

"Okay, now we got an Hispanic and chick with a mace to join our ranks both of whom I'm sure isn't this mysterious voice." He said internally. Lightning noticed the map Market was carrying and caught a glimpse of it. While he didn't see much of what was on the map he could still see that it lacked so important land marks. The thought of the new stallion showing Oath a map he had gotten from a fantasy book crossed his mind.

"I know some Spanish." Lightning said as moved over to the new stallion. The Shadowbolts made it mandatory to know at least two languages. Lightning knew these two quite well and dabbled in a few of them. Plus, his job as a Shadowbolts was recon he knew a lot about the maps of the world, but even when he got a closer look the map was unlike anywhere else he had seen.

"Umm ... No estoy seguro de si había oído hablar de su grupo antes y su mapa es de ningún lugar que he visto antes. Pero, bienvenido a nuestro grupo y si lo deseas, puedes unirte a nosotros. Aunque yo voy a preguntar si se puede hablar Inglés."

Things seemed to go quiet in the campground in terms of disembodied voices, the new visitors seemed friendly enough even if one spoke a language that not all around them could understand and both were heavily armed. Then again it wasn't like that was unique to the newcomers.

Over where Wild Card was setting up his game of Patience something stuck out amongst the cards he lay out for his game; a card he had no memory of putting down and certainly no memory of owning. The shape along was different from the others in his collection, a soothing blue with three prongs on the top to form an almost crown like shape.

The card depicted an all green stallion dressed in adventurer gear looking right out at Wild. The picture was anything but comforting; the stallion appeared to be screaming.

Across the campsite where Oathbound stood with the newcomers another drew Oathbound's eyes to it with an irresistible force. The card was similar in shape to the one Wild had found but unlike that one the points of the crown shape were much more sharp and the card was a blood red, a much more vicious looking shape.

The picture also differed; while it too showed a stallion, this one looked very familiar. The stallion could have been a relative to Oathbound, grinning sadistically up at them with his dark purple mane styled the same as Oathbound's own and his pitch black coat almost blending in with the background.

It had been hidden inside the rain initially. Perhaps it had even been there since the strange whisper but somehow it had hidden from them, hidden in plain sight no more than twenty feet away.

But as the rain began to fall slightly slower and the winds calmed for a moment, they allowed for a clear view of the figure standing some distance behind the new arrivals, the long, black hooded coat hiding all features. Stand still as a statue.

Watching them.

"I didn't say anything, Miss Tin." Wild Card said while looking up at the newcomers with interest as he laid down the final card to start his game, and while one seemed slightly menacing with the mace and the cloak, the other made him force himself not to laugh. "But it's so funny. I mean seriously, I've heard of having a feather in your cap, but that is ridiculous." "Yes, but as you've heard, he's foreign. That may be their normal clothing for all we know." The stallion shrugged, waved to the two newcomers with a hand sticking out of his tent, and then returned his gaze to his game after drying off his hand.

That's when he saw the strange card. The stallion nearly shot through the roof of his tent in shock, but managed to restrain himself from doing so with the help of a few others. Slowly, and hesitantly, he lifted the card from the others and stared at it inquisitively. "Strange... How very strange... Get Ace, now." He said sternly. "I saw it. It's not possible. It can't be. No one knows what we look like except us. We don't even own a card like that, as much as I would like us to have cards like that, but even then I wouldn't want to be in that pose."

The stallion started to shake slightly in fear, and he quickly packed up his game as the runic cards floated around him slowly, though Wild never placed the strange card down. The pegasus was just staring at it with wide eyes and shrunken, green irises, not uttering another word as his mind raced for an answer which could not be found.

As she's standing near enough to his tent to have asked him about the voice she thought she'd heard, Verde blinks and looks hard at Wild as she hears three distinct voices speaking from his mouth, seeming to be conversing with each other. She steps closer to him, her body settling into the easy tension of someone fully prepared to react to attack, to see what he's staring at with such a frightened look. As she did, however, her mind was racing along a series of logical paths she scarcely imagined ever treading.

Three distinct voices from one person, talking to one another, one voice demanding that another retrieve the third... who then speaks. She looks over her shoulder towards the edge of the camp, noting the shape in the darkness without reaction, filing the fact away to react to in a moment. And the third voice recognizes himself as a picture on the card, but the picture isn't of Wild Card but a different stallion. Multiple personalities? But how would one of the personalities have a distinct concept of a body that isn't the one it's inhabiting? No, not it... he. And this 'he' is named 'Ace'... and is apparently not the personality pulling the strings, or he wouldn't have to be asked for. So much dread portent and yet... I sense none of it from him. Curious.

She clears her throat softly, trying not to startle him. "Mister... Card, is it?" she asks. "I don't wish to cause whichever of you I'm speaking to more distress at the moment but it appears that we have a visitor to our camp, one that isn't invited and certainly isn't welcome. I take it that card distresses you, but a picture cannot harm us. A living person, however, most certainly can."

Fantasy noticed Rain's brief tension towards her, and her hand quickly fell to her side. Once he introduced Oath and himself, though, she felt slightly more comfortable, but still kept the "stranger danger" policy in mind, and held to her mace tightly. "Fantasy." she said quietly, but a little louder this time. She shook his hand briefly before looking at Oath, who'd also asked her a question. "Yes, I-... was- am looking for the Element bearers. I kinda lost my group, though." And I've had a shit day.

The Hispanic pony took her by surprise, but not really that much. She'd really never seen a pony speak a different language on the show, but given the show's nature, a pony of a different culture was probably among the least surprising things likely to be found in a world where rainbow lasers could pwn a chaos god.

The voice whispering "Heart" made Fantasy's ear flick, but consciously she didn't really notice it. What she did notice, though, was the dark blue stallion who seemed to be having a conversation with himself, and managing to have a different voice for each conversant. She wasn't sure whether that was a sign of craziness or boredom on his part. She'd figure it out later.

Then she heard Verde's words. Her gaze flicked to her and she frowned. In a second, though, her eyes were back on Rain's, and her face was more or less neutral. Well, isn't she friendly? Fantasy thought, completely overjoyed at the thought of somepony hating her already.

Rain Splash put his hand by his side again, smiling brightly. 'I believe I just made a friend' he thinks to himself silently. He notices he is like a living wall to the mare in front of him, and he steps out of the way of her, "Well it's nice to meet you Fantasy, I'm sure the others will introduce themselves to you, in a nice way hopefully." He adds with a weary smile. He takes a few steps pulling his sword a bit out of his sheath, it didn't rust, so at least that's something. He'd love a spear at some point during this, for he was just as good with staffs as he was with a sword, or... He slightly looks over at the mace Fantasy had with a twinge of jealousy, a mace...

He turns more sheathing the rest of his sword and raises an eyebrow, "Unless you like the rain..." He says then almost physically facepalms at his own horrid pun.

Young Sugary looked and listened at the ones before him, a mixture of confusion and worry being plastered all over his face as he was told he wasn't anywhere he knew of and that they didn't know where his map was showing.

Looking at the map for a moment, he placed it back into his Inventory and took a deep breath, trying to make sense of what he was told just now. "... Yes... I can speak this language too... But now I'm still lost... I don't even know where this Equestria is at all in Melmond..." At that moment, he got a light feeling of dread, knowing full well that the universe held many mysteries if the lessons the guild Scholars and family had taught him as he began to think that he was much farther away from familiar territory than he initially thought. "... We are in Melmond, right...?"

But the feeling of dread paled in comparison to what he felt shortly afterwards not too far off behind him as it ran down his spine like a cold shower, leaving him more tense than he already was given the circumstances. Grasping the mace-wand and shield a little more firmly, he began to turn around and eventually see the shadowy figure.

He was quiet for a moment, feeling an odd weight in the air, or maybe he just felt there was weight in the air, though eventually he'd raise the wand high over his head and tried to focus the light it shone with still towards the figure to try and get a better look and properly identify the new arrival. "... H-Hello...? Who goes there...?"

Lightning noticed Sugary's reaction to his words and waited for a few moments for Sugary's answer. Luckily, it was in English so that the others could understand. It was Lightning's turn to be confused as Sugary spouted out another location Lightning was unfamiliar with.

He looked over at Oath in hopes that he would know something about this "Melmond" place. The stallion knew he should probably be concerned about mace chick, but there were a good number of ponies in between him. And as for the pony he was talking with now. He seemed to be just confused kind of like Lightning was when he first heard Wild talk to himself and was apparently doing so again.

But, for some random reason Sugary turned his attention behind the group and back to what Lightning thought was an empty field. He eyed the person carefully and followed his instincts as he slowly reached for his gun. There was something about the this person that seemed...dark? The pegasus didn't know how to describe it. "Umm...guys we got another visitor..." His voice sounding rather unsure as his hand finally

Oathbound's face blanched at the card as he recognized the stallion in it.
"Who... would make a card out of him? He was banished long ago!" He muttered to himself.
Oath heard Verde's words and shook his head. He looked at Fantasy straight in her face.
"Pay Verde no mind. There's one reason why her reasoning is false. You cannot hurt any of us. I won't allow it." He said, meaning every word he said.
He then turned to the other newcomer.
"As for you... I have never heard of this Melmond place... But if you're lost you can stay with us for the ni-" Oath stopped his sentence prematurely as he saw Sugary turn and cast light on the previously unseen figure in the black cloak.
An axe appeared in his hand, a light-blue magical construct just as deadly as the real thing. The figure's covered features alarmed Oath enough to warrant being armed. However, he said nothing for the time being, Sugary's question more than enough for him. Perhaps the cloaked pony would be just like these other two.

Oath doubted it though.

The figure in the hood didn't move even as it had weapons drawn on it. Sugary's light directed at it did nothing to reveal it's features, the empty blackness under the hood still all that was visible even when it's face should have been illuminated.

The figure tilted it's head at Oathbound's axe like it had never seen one before. In it's hand it clutched a card, identical in shape to the ones that had appeared to Oathbound and Wild but of a light purple color this time.

"Hearts."

The same voice spoke again as it had before but this time much clearer; it was as if the source of the voice stood right beside them while it spoke.

"They all look familiar." The figure spoke one more time before stepping back. Dark shadows engulfed the figure, swirling around them until they disappeared into the swirling shadow.

From out of the shadows the card the figure had held gently fluttered forwards into the center of the camp before it lay, picture side up, in the middle of the group. Much like the other cards, it depicted a pony.

This one depicted the missing Princess. Twilight Sparkle looked up at them with a strange, dead expression in her eyes, as if she was not aware of her surroundings.

The portal did not vanish and continued to swirl and convulse. From within the depths two parts of the darkness seemed to detach, floating forward as twin orbs gradually taking shape.

By the time they reached the ground, two fully formed, disturbing creatures stood poised like animals ready to strike.

Wild Card's eyes quickly moved to look at Verde, and slowly his irises returned to their regular size... and normal orange colour. "I thought we had two visitors." "Maybe she doesn't count short, red and feathers as a visitor but more of an illusion. I mean I made us blink several times to make sure he was actually there." "That's rather mean, don't you think?" The stallion then placed the strange card in his front pocket and took his umbrella out of his hat again.

Casually, Wild emerged from his tent with the runic cards still circling him slowly, but he managed to see the strange figure vanish into shadows and the card falling to the ground. "I'm guessing that was the other visitor?" Wild said, and then he walked over to the fallen card and picked it up, noting the similarity in shape to the one portraying one of himselves, and then he realised which pony was depicted in it.

But before he could mention this, however, he saw the creatures and slowly walked backwards, pocketing the other strange card as he did so. "Um... Well, this is strange." "They don't look friendly at all." " And here I was hoping we would get a decent night's sleep..." The runic cards floating around Wild at a leisurely pace sped up slightly, but Wild himself stood up straight and seemingly calm, holding the umbrella as a businessman would while waiting for the bus.

"Yes, Mister Card, whichever of you I'm speaking to, that was the visitor I spoke of," Verde says wryly. "I assume that the adventurers joining us plan to do a little more than merely visit. And not a one of them is unwelcome--yet."

She watches the dapper stallion withdraw his umbrella from his hat and walk calmly over to the card, strolling with the nonchalance of a gentleman out in in brisk weather with nary a care in the world. And she watched as he confronted the two creatures that emerged with the same unimpressed, unhurried, relaxed nonchalance as if this was a mere inconvenience on a pleasant walk, a small puddle in the path to step over and be done with. I think I could like this Wild Card, she thinks to herself. Collected, at least three minds within him, and as dangerous as any I've met before.

Verde walked over to Wild with the same unhurried pace he'd moved with, shedding backpack and in the same motion, slipping her kite shield off her back as the free hand drew a handsome arming sword from a scabbard buckled at her waist. She stopped a meter to Wild's right, giving the stallion and herself ample space to work with, and planted her feet with her shield before her, ready to receive a charge, a blow, and whatever else the threatening-looking creatures may wish to cast at her. "Anything of interest on that card, Mister Card?" she inquires casually, not taking her eyes from the creatures.
