Once upon a time under the magical land of Equestria...
Three hundred souls listened in silence as their world died above them. A land that was once ruled by peace, love and respect was overtaken by an era where jealous reaping of dwindling space and natural resources gave way to new virtues, which quickly overpowered their predecessors. Avarice. Suspicion… Hostility. It seemed that even the spirit of kindness had been corrupted by equinity’s downward spiral into destruction.
War machines roared to life as nations took up arms against their neighbors.
The end of the world came much as the equines had expected. It was plunged into an abyss of magical fire and radiation. The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons, as always, purely our own. Equestria was nearly wiped clean of all life. A magical cleansing; a spark struck by equine hooves quickly raged out of control. Megaspells rained down from the heavens and entire lands were swallowed in flames, falling beneath the boiling oceans of a land once ruled by love… respect… and peace. Equinity was almost extinguished, their souls becoming part of the ambient magical radiation that blanketed the lands… And, well, here we are. Three hundred souls listening in silence as their world died above them.

A few things:
1: As you are all stable ponies, you all begin with pipbucks. Woohoo, arcanotechnology. That being said, not all of you are deputized, meaning, you don’t have access to many of the features that make this little accessory so desired. For most of you, the pipbuck is merely a radio, inventory sorting, map, general health observing, and note-taking device. You lack the Eyes-Forward-Sparkle and Stable-Tec Arcane Targeting Spell features until you manage to deputize yourself.
2: Again, you are all stable ponies. You need jobs, talents, and lives befitting of stable ponies. Please include this information with your sign-up, along with your SPECIAL and tagged skills.
3: As stable ponies, your starting equipment is severely limited. Most of you won’t own much more than the clothing on your backs, your pipbuck, and various accessories you keep around your room. Maybe a few smuggled items, things you own that the overmare doesn’t know you own.
4: One character per player, please----This isn’t set in stone, and, can change depending on your argument. This is more to keep me sane than to limit you (Well, keeping me sane by limiting you, but… uhhh… Y’know). This is, believe it or not, my first rodeo. I’ve never hosted a thread for myself. I hope I can provide both of us with quality entertainment nonetheless.
5: One more thing, for clarification, this thread is set a few decades before the Lightbringer brought light to Equestria, and before the time of Red Eye. You are not the first generation to be born in 221.
40 points total. Spend them as you feel your character would have. TAG skills are, as follows: Barter, Big Guns, Energy Weapons, Explosives, Lockpick, medicine, melee weapons, repair, science, small guns, sneak, speech and unarmed. They're basically guidelines as to what you're good at doing off the bat.

Alright, well it looked like you had more than enough questions going your way so I'll just post stuff here. Now I don't know a lot about the FoE world, it's cannon, or other things about it, so for now I'm just going to post a couple characters and hopefully, we'll eliminate the ones that don't make sense. Know thought that this isn't me trying to get more than one character into the game.
Alright so first pick is my sound mage/malleable pony Resonance. He'd probably be something of an electrician with a specialty for the intercom systems and keeping radio's working. As for his abnormality, he could pretty easily be just another mutant, and he's got a couple abnormal cloths to kind of help ease others that are around him. Next up is my plant pony Maple. Stuck in there with a hope towards the future at being able to regrow some plant life in the aftermath of the war, Maple would need a couple special housing requirements like a special light, constant water, and soil to be kept in her room, but ultimately she'd opt to help pull her weight by providing potentially some actually grown food for the stable and being a doctor. And another already! We'll throw in Sonata. She's a musician (violinist), plays regularly for moral and general enjoyment. In the spare time, she's practices some shooting. I'd like to sign-up Sweeps for this adventure. Because of the complex history and such, we will simply say his soul was born in that body and leave it as simple as that. They work as a Guard for 221. S=5; P=10; E=6; C= 5; I=4; A=7; L=3 Tagged Skills: Sneak, Melee Weapons, and Barter.

Talents: She keeps the Security ponies' weapons in good shape and any other equipment around the stable. She's also great at slipping out of sight in tight situations.

Talents: A very good cook, she can easily take many types of foods and make them a bit more than edible. She's also quite an attractive mare, and is good with words. She isn't afraid with using seduction to get what she wants either. When push comes to shove, then escalates into combat, Strawberry is also very skilled with most types of blades, especially knives. She's also surprisingly sneaky for suck a brightly colored mare.

Obsidian's Purse Cutter as one of 221's sanitation specialists. You've got one of 221's master keycards, useful for opening just about any non-encrypted doorway.
Zen's Sonata as 221's resident musician, playing weekly concerts for the population's enjoyment. Your pipbuck comes with a broadcaster feature, simply put, you're a walking radio-station whenever you feel like it.
Star's Moon Tinker as one of 221's technicians. Your pipbuck comes with a developer's kit, useful for hacking into terminals and diagnosing compatible arcanotechnological problems.
Lolk's Attrition as one of 221's security ponies. Your pipbuck is deputized, you gain all the features associated with such a condition. Link

Sunbutt's Strawberry breeze. You have access codes to 221's pantry.
Wise's Diamond Mind as part of 221's engineering ponies. You also gain access to a developer's kit within your pipbuck.
Notebook's Sweeps as a member of 221's security force. You are in possession of a deputized pipbuck, with all the features that come with it.
Aes' Aes as another member of 221's security force. You are also in possession of a deputized pipbuck, with all the features that come with it.
DualThrone's Verde Tin as one of 221's technicians. You, like Diamond, gain access to a developer's kit within your pipbuck. Dev kits are useful for hacking into terminals and diagnosing problems with combatible arcanotechnological devices. Linky

Talent: Attrition's new cutie mark is a laser pistol, to represent her aptitude for using and maintains energy weaponry. Attrition is one of the security ponies, though she helps out in maintaining the armory when she is off duty. She isn't very good with ponies, but she is very very patient, and hard to sway from her focus.

Talent: Verde's cutie mark is a golden hammer and anvil, representing her skill with engineering and invention generally. She strives to be an intellectual, as much as one can be in the confines of a STABLE, but is secretly a gleeful greasy monkey... er, pony. She's not the best with other ponies, although not particularly bad either, and her bizarrely bad luck has led her to be somewhat durable in many respects. Her goal in life is to be a genuine certified STABLE-Tech technician but until that happens, she's just a technician with an extensive knowledge of how machines--including biological ones--work.
