PostSubject: OC Character Thread 2 (This thread is now locked, please use the OC Character Thread 3 above)   Wed Nov 26, 2014 8:38 pm

Important!: In this thread specifically, you are to post BRAND NEW OC's here to be looked at for approval. Only new characters that have not been approved are to be posted here!

Important 2: Please read this as well, this note will stay here until the trial period is over; http://ocroleplay.forumotion.co.uk/t208-important-character-creation-rule-please-read

In an effort to try and improve the quality of our group as well as to help compensate for the very varied levels of experience present in the group we are adopting a new way of writing characters in the form of the sheet below. Please do not make a new thread for your character, post it here.

Name: A last or middle name is not needed, but what you call your character is needed at least. link to a pony name generator if you have trouble coming up with names.

Race: Remember to say a few words in a note if your character is a race that you yourself have invented or is not native to canon Equestria.

Age: The age of the character. Simple as. If you can't think of an exact number for whatever reason, try and go with a roundabout number that seems fitting.

Mane: Colour(s) are needed, but style is a plus.

Coat: Colour(s) are needed, but length is a plus

Cutie mark.: Details are appreciated but a basic description will do.

Distinguishing Features: Example, what is the first thing that stands out about your character? If you saw him on the street what would you remember about him?

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Here is a good place to mention what your character is especially good at, or any sort of odd skills they might have. If this skill comes from an artifact or piece of equipment please include that in gear instead.

Weaknesses: Here’s where you’d put what you character is especially bad at. Any sort of flaws in their abilities or capabilities or such would go here. It’d be a good idea to balance out any specialties with weaknesses, this helps to keep a balanced character for you. As a general rule if you have a hard time thinking of any  weaknesses for your character there is a problem.

Occupation: What is your characters job? Do they have one? If they don’t what sort of job would they want? Note that this job does not necessarily need to be tied to your character's backstory or their speciality; more mundane jobs are just as welcome.

Gear: You do not need to mention that your character owns a saddleback or small things like that, but things that are special, or weapons for that matter, would go here.

History: This is the spot for the backstory, it does not need to be a novel, but writing a few lines would be a good idea.

Personality: Here is the spot to describe what it is that makes your character tick, is your character extra nice to people? Compassionate like no other? Maybe sadistic and likes to eat small ducklings? Here is the spot for tell all about that.

Current Home: Where is your character currently living? Do they live alone and if not who do they live with (this can be other users OCs if you both agree to that).

Misc: This is for anything that doesn't fit in the other sections. Any extra little things and all that. This can help add some more depth to your characters.

Thank you everybody.

To save you some time here is a blank version of the character sheet for you to copy and paste.

PostSubject: Grey Matter   Thu Nov 27, 2014 2:19 am

Name: Grey Matter

Race: Unicorn/Lich
Age: 253 (Physically 32 and rotting)
Mane: Formerly black, now it’s basically all gone; he enjoys wearing various short wigs  though.
Coat: Really short, barely covers his skin, but the fur is naturally light brown.
Cutie mark.: Four drops of blood.
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add:

Distinguishing Features: In public (well, if he has a choice in the matter), he’s always wrapped up from horn to hoof in long, cloth bandages, winding all over his body. Over most of his body, this makes up 2-4 layers of bandaging; thinnest at the bony bits like his horn, and thickest over the his barrel and the meaty parts of his limbs. Considering that ponies are slightly more likely to not attempt to immediately kill a pony who appears to just be wrapped in bandages, rather than a pony who appears to be a walking, decaying corpse, this is understandable.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Grey Matter is, for all intents and purposes, functionally immortal. Partly because he’s already dead, but mainly because his corpse is literally powered by leeching energy from the world’s tides, running his body on necromantic energies that would normally have gone to waste as part of global warming. No matter what kind of injury he receives, he will eventually regenerate from it, whether it be decapitation, mutilation, or good old-fashioned incineration, his body will eventually reform. Cut-off body parts will turn to dust before they begin being regrown on his body, and the material is drawn from his surroundings to make new body parts; complete incineration means a long, long road back of every cell in his body being remade from scratch via a combination of magic and any available materials in the vicinity of where he was immolated. Of note, the more he is injured at any given time, the faster his rate of healing.
Of note, he retains control over the muscles of detached body parts. Although this typically is rather limited in use, it’s just something notable.
Formerly an accomplished sorcerer and reviled dark lord of Hollow Shades, Grey Matter retains an in-depth understanding of very powerful magicks, primarily in regards to abjuration and necromancy, alongside numerous skills when it comes to organization and logistics. Nowadays, his spell-knowledge doesn’t see much, if any usage, and is both behind the times and a little rusty.
Weaknesses: Despite the fact that he’s essentially immortal and is always being healed, Grey’s body is constantly in a state of decay, reaching an equilibrium where he’s still a somewhat-decayed corpse; his body is almost always covered in lesions of varying depth, he smells like rotting meat, his organs have attempted to liquify regularly, and have tried to “escape”, as he puts it, on numerous occasions. This sub-life state is a direct result of his switching to a diet that does not include regular meat and blood intake. It’d probably take about a year of going back to eating meat/ponies for him to return to looking like something that’s not a half-decayed corpse, much less a pale imitation of life. The end result is that, even compared to a normal unicorn, his body is fragile and his strength is quite lacking. He’s been shown to struggle with heavier doors, and has severe issues with lifting any sort of actual weight. Trying to do things that exceed his physical capacities also has a nasty habit of making parts of his body fall off, thus the constantly-being-wrapped-in-bandages to keep them somewhat attached.
Much like his healing, once he gave up on being a living being, Grey’s magic also came to be fueled by regular ingestion of meat and blood, and his cessation of such has left him without even a fraction of his former arcane might. He has absolutely no magic to cast spells with, and though eating some flesh might let him throw around a bit of magical energy, getting back to being a proper mage would require severe rehabilitation to get his horn and magical control back in order, in addition to being back on a diet consisting of large quantities of meat.

Occupation: Former blood mage & evil overlord, now...he just helps Loose Tinder at her job, when he can.
Gear: Several changes worth of thick linen bandages and various accoutrements and paraphernalia involved in keeping him smelling semi-decently, reduce the rate of rotting, and help prevent infections.

History: Grey Matter was born as a perfectly normal unicorn in the great city of Canterlot. He was well-adjusted, well-kept, and most importantly, alive. But his happiness in being a well-adjusted and living unicorn was not meant to last. One dark night, while he was still but a youth, he and his parents were accosted by a raggedy-looking earth pony, with a cracked stone on his flank and a sledgehammer over his shoulder.
His father didn’t even cry out when his skull was shattered. His mother panicked—she wasn’t fast enough to regain her focus and actually stop the pony. She screamed when her horn and her skull divorced themselves. Luckily for her, she didn’t scream long.
Grey couldn’t even move. He’d closed his eyes the moment that he saw the hammer connected with his father’s face. But his body decided what to do for him.
The earth pony didn’t get a fourth swing. The last thing he saw was a horn glowing a bubbling, unnatural purple. A moment later, he was a puddle on the ground and a stain on the nearby walls.
By the time somepony found Grey, slumped over his mother’s corpse, soaked with tears and blood, he was unconscious, and he would never be the same, innocent pony. That night, he swore a vow he would never forget:
This world is cruel. This world is heartless, and those who make it that way deserve nothing but death. I will end this rampant criminality, because the world just...it can’t go on like this. Not anymore. There can be no more of these petty villains running around hurting ponies for nothing. There can be no more darkness in the hearts of ponies. It’s got to end. Even if I have to give up everything...I can’t bear to let others suffer more...I could never stand to let someone else go through what I’ve gone through...

It took years before he was sane enough to deal with other ponies again. In the meantime, he found himself locked in a tiny hospital room with a pile of spellbooks. It literally took him a week to notice he’d earned his cutie mark, and even then, it wasn’t anything of interest to him. The next day, he was taken home by his grandparents, but it was obvious even to them that the boy had changed significantly: he was withdrawn, and about as emotional as an ice cube. His little outburst, however, had promised him a spot in Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, entirely to get him to control that horn of his...after all, how many foals have enough power in their horns to violently explodify full-grown adults?
Grey would manage to go the next few years rather plainly, and he’d later have nothing to really comment on in regards to this period of his life. He did normal unicorn things, learned normal unicorn things, and wasn’t given any reason to violently explodify anyone else. Like any good unicorn, he enjoyed reading. And it was in this time that he would learn the very basics of his talents, and he sought the power his talents would give him.
But it was not until after his graduation that he would begin really seeking the darker magicks. He started with books, of course; finding minor spells that called upon the power of blood and hatred, and he would practice the spells in seclusion, hiding from the light. From there, he began to experiment, at first on insects and rodents...but before he dared move onto anything larger, he left Canterlot for a tiny little village called Hollow Shades. There, he began to truly test his limits in earnest, and he dared to stretch beyond what limits he did have, eventually beginning to “experiment” on corpses and recently-released criminals (they were evil anyway, after all). He knew what he wanted to do, and he knew just how to do it, even if nopony else understood him. Anyone in the way was just an obstacle, and they would be trampled underhoof just like the villains he so hated.
After over ten years of learning and testing, he was ready for the ultimate step—the first step to the true inquisition—lichdom. He ripped his soul out of his own body and bound it to his most treasured possession in Hollow Shades: a fancy silver spoon he took from his grandparent’s house when he left Canterlot. Sure, lichdom gave him a powerful desire to eat the flesh of his former brethren, and left his magic powered by this insatiable hunger, but it also made him an unkillable force of death on the field. As a contingency, he had the audacity to make his body steal a bit of energy from the world at large to ensure that starving him out would never succeed in destroying his power completely.
Within a few days of his empowerment, the unicorn had enslaved all of Hollow Shades, and quite literally decimated the citizenry, both to satiate his voracious hunger and to leave them knowing that he intended to punish all crimes very equally. And then he headed off to spread the word.
His reign of terror, luckily, didn’t last long. Though he managed to raid the young cities of Fillydelphia and Manehatten, when he returned to Hollow Shades, he did so to a contingent of guards coming down the road. So, he did the only reasonable thing. He let loose on them with as much of his magic as he could, sending forth his own regiment of undead minions to deal with them. Meanwhile, he returned to his home, fortifying it from attack with every abjuration he could conjure. As long as they could not get in, they could never touch his phylactery.
He was not, however, expecting Celestia.
Nor was he expecting the solar flare.
But that’s not that important, he didn’t feel it anyway. In an instant, Grey Matter and everything he’d worked so hard for was gone. His phylactery destroyed, his body reduced to smoke and a pile of ashes, nothing could have saved him.
Well, except for one thing. Though he didn’t have a brain left to enjoy it, and even though his soul was almost certainly cast down into Tartarus after being released from its spoon, his body began to remake itself from the ashes. Slowly, ever so slowly, he was becoming more and more alive.
Oh, it certainly took 200 years to do it, give or take 20 years, but his body put itself back together again. And in the meantime, while his brain was hooking itself back up properly, he had lots of time to think. And being separated from his last burst of mind-muddling dark magic by two centuries, alongside the realization that he wasn’t really all that great and powerful, did wonders for his clarity of thought. He decided to shelf the entire “ruling the world” plan for a rainy day, and focused instead on just living.
The problem came up that he was not, in fact, just living, and he felt an intense urge to eat pony brain. After a bit of graverobbing, he tried to curb his hunger, but no amount of logic could conquer the delicious taste of pony flesh, whether it was fresh or rotting. It didn’t take long for him to at least adapt to the half-decayed state of his body, turning to ancient desert traditions to keep his body in one piece and to keep his insides somewhat inside of him.
The walking mummy moved around for quite some time, until he discovered a pretty little downtrodden mare all on her own on the outskirts of a town called Ponyville; her mane and tail interested him, as they seemed to be made of fire itself, and her coat didn’t so much resemble a coat as much as it did a dragon’s scales. More importantly, there was something odd about how he felt when he looked at her. For one thing, it didn’t make him salivate, and rather than grumbling, his stomach decided to start doing backflips. Probably because someone had decided to shove a lot of butterflies in there. Just looking at her made him feel things he couldn’t even understand…
And then she turned to face him, and he fainted.
He woke up in her home, some strange, not-quite-dank cave. And while her smile was a bit unnerving for him, she apparently didn’t care too much about his being a mummy, or smelling a little strange. And that alone made him happy. She spoke to him gently, as if she just wanted to get a great weight off of her withers, about how everypony in the area either hated her or was scared of her, all because she had a bit of a fiery personality and she liked eating meat a bit more than the average pony. In gratitude, he offered his services to her, and he’s been sticking around her ever since, though they do go out and about every now and again on their own time.

Personality: Grey Matter is rather lost in this new world he lives in, displaced by two centuries of time from his own era. He often feels quite unsure of what to do or how things ought to be done, in part because he realizes that the last time he was “sure” about the right thing to do, he got turned into a pile of ashes for his trouble, and had become the very thing he hated. To that end, he typically likes to just enjoy the simple, slow things in life (he thinks golf is the best thing since sliced bread, even if he does occasionally send a limb flying along with the ball). He’s not quite used to feeling all his emotions, and doesn’t quite understand most of them, though he is starting to recognize that he does, in fact, love Loose Tinder. Still, he is a little soft-spoken, and prefers numbers and schedules over trying to have actual conversations; though he has been shown to enjoy more physical means of communication.
Current Home: The Dragon’s Den, Loose Tender's home/restaurant
Misc: He can also be played as a bit more evil if I just remove his little run-in with his little mare friend, and instead have him fall into a bit of decadence or plain-old craziness.

Name: Loose Tinder
Race: Kirin
Age: 25
Mane: Fiery orange, quite frizzy and stands up, making it appear to be a set of flames. Occasionally does become flames.
Scales: Reddish-purple, and kept quite clean thanks to regularly taking baths.
Cutie mark.: A tilted brown bottle with a cork in it
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add:
Distinguishing Features: She has an abnormally high body temperature (as in, she is always hot to the touch, all over) and two horns sticking backwards, rooted behind her ears. The green, draconic eyes and the threatening canines in her mouth don’t hurt, either.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): While not quite fireproof, Loose Tinder is pretty darn close, due to her draconic traits. She is highly resistant to high temperatures, and is relatively unbothered by smoke inhalation and other conditions resulting from being in a room that is on fire. She can also breathe fire, like a real dragon, though even preparing to do so turns her mane and tail into flames, granting plenty of warning to anyone about to get a little wisp of dragonfire on their flanks (anger, hatred, and fear will also set off that particular response).
As a professional chef, Loose is good at cooking, and she especially enjoys putting her own touch on foodstuffs. Being able to interact with food that would burn a normal pony lets her do a few tricks that would otherwise be impossible, and a little bit of flambeing here and there doesn’t hurt either.
Weaknesses: Loose is a bit of a firebrand, and has been known to get a bit emotional in a manner that gets small buildings destroyed. Luckily, the local government and insurance companies now recognize her destruction as force majeur (an act of God), meaning that her destroying your place of business means that you can get out of obligations involving that place of business still existing. This also comes with a reputation of being a bit of a dangerous creature and a menace to equines everywhere, though a bit of the hate is undeserved (any fire in her region tends to get blamed on her), though she’s managed to suck up enough to most ponies to not get completely ostracized or exiled, and her repute has slowly been improving.
Occupation: Chef
Gear: Cooking equipment of some sort, if applicable.

History: Loose was born to two kirin parents, and is quite proud of this fact of her biology. And at the age of 12, she ran away from home as traditionally done by both lines of her family (taking as much stuff as she could carry. The alternative was abandonment and being left with nothing). For a while, she lived in the wilderness, eating whatever came her way and largely ignoring the ponies that travelled through the wild lands outside of their precious towns and cities. But she always felt a longing for something more out of life, something better than just whatever food she might happen upon.
And then, her life changed forever. She found a box that’d fallen off from a train, a box containing a plate, and upon that plate was a meal fit for a princess (for Canterlot is where this train was bound), and it smelled simply delicious. The meal was gone in seconds, but she knew right then and there that she wanted more. So she followed the strange tracks made of metal and wood, until she came upon one of the many “towns” the ponies lived in, a place known as Ponyville. She was a sixteen-year-old mare, all alone, and she looked like a half-dragon abomination. So the citizens of Ponyville did the only reasonable thing in this sort of situation: run her the hell out of town.
It took a few attempts at getting into town before she managed to be accepted in the most grudging sense of the term. It then took her a few days to figure out how food worked, and in short order, she found herself in possession of the most basic understanding of cooking, and she returned to the forest to hone her craft.
When she next returned to Ponyville, she came back not as a filly, but as a mare. She impressed the citizenry with her own flamboyant style of cooking, and for a little while, she was largely accepted. But she still lacked a cutie mark.
A few days later, that would change too. And her world would be flipped upside-down yet again.
A petty little bully decided that the blankflank, good-natured kirin would be a good target for some verbal abuse. The isolated, one-on-one conflict set something off in the mare. A fire flared up in her soul. And in her mane. And in the entire barroom she was in at the time this confrontation began. By the time she came back to her senses, everypony else was already long-gone, and it was only as she stumbled out in a stupor that she blearily noticed the bottle that’d decided to settle itself along her flank.
A few more incidents like that and she was politely told to stay outdoors while within the city limits. Sensing the undertones of that conversation, she decided to set up shop outside of town. In a pretty-much fireproof cave.
A year or so later, she’d developed a regular crowd of customers, as well as ponies who would come and go with the times. It was hard work, keeping her little cave of a restaurant (The Dragon’s Den, for those interested in coming by) running, but it was what she had a passion for.
One day, while walking along the nearby river, she came across a very strange pony; strange in that he kept his entire body wrapped up in bandages, and he smelled more than a little off. But, then again, by the time she noticed him, he was laying on the ground unconscious, so she took him home and waited his little ‘nap’ out.
When he did awaken, she didn’t question him about his peculiar condition (she’d been foolish enough to check out under the bandages, and she quickly decided that it was better not to know), and instead, she let out a spiel about herself and her own condition in the world. How was she supposed to know he’d offer to help out and bring in a bit of publicity? It wasn’t like she could find any reason to deny him.
And now they live together. Isn’t that great?

Personality: As stated above, Loose has a rather loose temper, and she gets set off quite easily. Insults are typically an easy way to get her to go off, especially if it involves calling her some kind of halfbreed, mutt, or mongrel, or accusing her of being some kind of mindless beast or a monster. Of course, an even better way to get on her bad side would be insulting her friend Grey, or any of her regular customers—perhaps by calling them meat-eating savages (true about her and maybe a little true for Grey, he tries to not eat much meat, but not her other customers) or murderous fiends—because she will do anything to protect those few friends she does have. If left to her own devices, she’s a rather broody, insular mare, preferring peace and quiet, at least when she’s not working; she takes no joy in pointless labor, and she’d much rather gather up as many things that she can call her own in a neat pile before falling asleep on top of the mound of stuff than spend all day working. She doesn’t exactly have that luxury, in part because she lacks much in the way of personal possessions, and also because she has to work her flank off to keep herself fed.
Current Home: A cave at the bottom of the unnamed mountain range on the outskirts of Ponyville (also serves as her restaurant, The Dragon’s Den); it has an iron stove, enough kitchenware and a full larder, and she collected the piles of firewood all by herself.
Misc:

PostSubject: Re: OC Character Thread 2 (This thread is now locked, please use the OC Character Thread 3 above)   Thu Nov 27, 2014 2:24 am

Name: Percival “Percy” Stormbreaker
Race: Vampony/Pegasus
Age: 823 (appears 25)
Mane: Light grey
Coat: Royal blue
Cutie mark.: A dark red pentagram/endless knot with a gold border.
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add:
Distinguishing Features: He has fangs in his mouth, used for drinking blood, which he eats and hungers for like a normal pony does for food, though perhaps with a bit less regularity and volume.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Given how old he is, Percy is presumably immortal, at least when it comes to aging; his resistance to a violent end, however, is amazing, but still limited. With skin as hard a bronze plates, an internal consistency more akin with concrete than squishy organs, and bones like steel rebar, hurting Percival with normal weaponry is something of a challenge, though blunt attacks still leave him reeling just as much as a normal pony (think Nemean lion), and most of his weaknesses will cut through his body as if they were steel and his flesh were just as soft and pliable as any pony’s, and oftentimes even more effectively. And even if he’s hard to hurt, a smashed skull is just as deadly to him as it is to anyone else (although I might ask a GM if Percy can be a bit less mortal if it seems that he’s becoming a chew toy, but that’s entirely at their discretion).

While it’s not really helpful in a fight, Percy is a fast healer, and tends to recover from wounds that would take others weeks to heal, in a matter of days. As an important point, he can slowly, slowly regrow missing limbs, but it’s an arduous process and typically involves long periods of being comatose.
Percy depends primarily on skill when doing anything, as, while he’s stronger than the average pony, and certainly has more in common with earth ponies than pegasi in that regard, it’s the 700 years of practicing combat that leave him good at what he does.
Weaknesses: While sunlight isn’t going to kill him any faster than it will any normal pony, Percy is still a creature of the night at heart. His vision becomes blurry and short-sighted in anything even resembling daytime light levels, and can only really see like a normal pony when the sun has gone down. He cannot enter a building without permission from someone who is already inside the building, nor can he enter covered bridges. He also can’t go across running water (on the surface, sewers and underground streams are not getting in his way) except for thirty minutes before and after midnight. Though garlic doesn’t really bother him, he does flinch away from salt if you toss a pinch his way, and large amounts will leave burns on him, but this only works for solid salt (not dissolved in water, basically). Silver and gold have a similar burning effect on him, but will do so even in low quantities, and they completely ignore his normal resistance to being damaged if used in weapons (which makes silver-plating and gold leafing a great way to turn a normal sword into something that can do some serious damage). He cannot cross a line or circle made out of salt or iron filings, and can only get around them by finding an opening big enough to admit his body at its widest point, and it is entirely possible for him to get stuck in attempting to do this, if he misjudges the width of the breach (imagine a head stuck in a chair).
Magic is anathema to Percival—it just doesn’t like him, honestly. Spells with lasting effects have serious issues actually staying attached to his person, but more importantly, most forms of spellcraft react violently with his body. Attempts to heal him, improve him, or change his shape with magic inevitably result in intense pain throughout his entire body, and strong or localized attempts can result in first- or second-degree burns. Attack spells ignore his natural hardiness and hurt him more than they would a normal pony. Teleportation not only makes him ill, but typically goes a little random when he’s a passenger, even occasionally separating him from other riders. Attempts to conjure magical shields for him typically result in the shield breaking the moment something tries to break it, and him touching such things ends up in him getting blasted, as if by an electric fence, even if the spell normally wasn’t meant to do that. Teleportation and portals just fizzle on him, the latter oftentimes either closing immediately or spitting out things that should not exist. Magical items spark against him from time to, releasing energy and slowly ruining most enchantments, though artifacts and particularly powerful magical items are typically not going to be very bothered by doing this, while he will be VERY zapped. In an exception to this general rule, spells and enchanted items that are meant for binding (not repurposed shield spells) do not lash out at Percy or degrade over time, but he can only escape particularly weak ones without outside assistance; they drain his strength and leave him quite feeble if given a bit of time on him.
His true weaknesses, however, are far more insidious. He just cannot handle being punched on the snoot, or someone pulling on his tail. It hurts like hell, and typically leaves him focusing too hard on the fact that they did that, rather than on continuing whatever confrontation is going on. He also can’t stand to tell a mare no, and puppydog eyes are basically impossible for him to resist.

Occupation: Knight Errant
Gear: Considering how poorly he and magical items get along, Percival’s equipment is all of a mundane nature. For simplicity’s sake and because he can probably get his hands on whatever he needs, he'll start any thread where it's applicable to do so with a mundane, steel weapon. He is presumably competent in any weapon he does bring in to the thread and is somewhat competent with most general kinds of weapons.

History: Short version: He used to be a normal pegasus, if a little power-hungry, then sold his soul to become a vampire, and then he got in trouble and got arrested, then eventually turned into essentially a weapon for Equestria's benefit. He eventually went AWOL after hunting a lich who had a shockingly similar philosophy to himself and now he's gone a little genre savvy insane, and hunts for power by searching for the greatest good in the world (because he lives in a world where the good guy always wins in the end).

Long Version:

Personality: Percy, at least on the far side of the looking glass, appears to be one of the dopiest ponies alive. He acts out the part of the fool quite ingeniously, radiating an air of extreme complacency and relaxation whenever the situation is not dire. Rather than appear jaded, like so many of his peers, Percy chooses to simply live and let live, and typically will begin to attempt to resolve an problems peacefully, likely with a smile on his face face and a bottle of some alcoholic beverage tucked in his saddlebags to serve as an icebreaker. All of this foolishness is tempered with a mischievous streak a mile wide, which typically leaves Percy with a great big smile on his face whenever it comes out to play.
Dropping the facade leaves behind a pony that is simply tired. Percival has lived for a long, long time, and in all of that he’s never really found any meaning to life. Even if there are momentary joys, they mean little to him in the long run, and it’s all he can do to try and make life a good thing for other ponies. Ponies who don’t have an unlimited time on this world like he does.

Current Home: No permanent residence to list, he moves around to where trouble lives and just goes where the winds take him.

Misc: Favorite Motto: Nemo me impune lacessit, "No one provokes me with impunity"
Proof that Percy has too many goddamn titles:

Me screwing around with the terms of Percy’s deal:

Name: GoldenTouch
Race: Pegasi
Age: 23
Mane: Brown
Coat: Golden [you never would have guessed]
Cutie mark.: A golden towel that can only be seen when looked at very closely, an odd think you want to do, unless you like looking at his flanks alot
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Enjoys archery and practices alot in his free time
Distinguishing Features: His eyes have a very confident and sharp look to them, working as a massage owner, he uses his limbs and maintains a very tone body.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc):
Weaknesses: Death, stabbing, arrows, cake, very trusting
Occupation: Massage Pony, Spa Owner
Gear: Crossbow, saddlebags

History: GoldenTouch grew up in a small town of Neighsburry to a family of blacksmiths, while his family was more inclined to manipulating metal, he didn't his talents excelled when working with muscle getting an apprenticeship with the towns spa. Under the guidance his mentor he learned all he could. He heard stories of different cultures with their own techniques. He finally packed his bags and left home at the age of 18 traveling across equestria with nothing but a saddlebag and his crossbow made by his parents. His travels helped him develop a very lighthearted and humble personality while on the road.

After learning all he could from the great therapists in the kingdom of Prance, he decided now that it was time for him to start making a name for himself. After getting scoffed at by the Canterlot elite ponies who wouldn't hire him due to his /humble beginnings/ he started his own business that quickly grew in popularity. Now that he had the pleasure of owning a successful business, the same old same old got repetitive, so he hired 3 other young up-incomers to run his store for him while he travels like in his youth, returning to work from time to time.

Personality: Very lighthearted and carefree, always seeming to crack small jokes and be to trusting for his own good
Current Home: He lives upstairs in his spa/house in canterlot

Name: Sol
Race: Zebra
Age: 33
Mane: White and Black stripes, about neck length
Coat: White with black stripes around his legs to his hooves
Cutie mark.: A gray tattoo on his flank http://images.clipartpanda.com/musical-notes-symbols-tattoos-music-note-tattoo-300.jpg
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: He is blind, he can’t see what so ever. His hearing is one his best senses, hearing even the soft sound of a nail hitting the ground. If you look under the robe he wears then you would see many scars from his trip to enlightenment.
Distinguishing Features: He has three golden earrings in his left ear and two golden necklaces. One long scar starts from the top of his face, trailing down the left side just under his eye. He always wears a purple robe that covers him from head to hoof with a purple cape. On the purple cape is a sliver symbol the same as his tattoo. His eyes are a soft sliver with black lines coming off his eyes and flowing down his cheeks.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Because of his enlightenment he has a deep connection to the spirit realm. He can feel the soul of another and all the emotions that they are feeling. When connecting to another on the spirit level his emotions become bound to their emotions, when that happens the sensations of pain are sent back to them. They only feel the mental aspect of the pain and not the physical. Because of his deep understanding of emotion he has taken up the piano to work on something in his spare time. Wise in all respects he might not know the answer but he will figure it out.
Weaknesses:The soul binding can only happen with one and only one. If there is more than one he would be flooded with many different emotions and that would cause insanity. His blindness does sometimes get in the way of his life, causing him to stumble and fall when he can’t feel around the environment, he needs to feel the object before he knows what it is.
Occupation: Pianist
Gear: His robe
History: He was born to loving parents that cared for their child deeply, his parents had been trying time after time for a foal but that resulted in two still born foals. They were about to give up but Sol was the only one that lived. He was raised with the best hoof forward. His parents cared for him, loved him and did everything they could to help him. Inside of Sol was bred pride, arrogance, and greed. Those emotions moved to actions as he strode the streets like nothing could touch him but he was wrong… his mistake cost him something very dear to him. When he strode out into the street he was hit by a cart, his head had taken the heaviest blow. Knocking him out cold he was rushed to a medicine zebra that began to treat his mangled body. After five days he awoke to darkness, he was stuck hard enough to make him blind.
Living with the blindness was a hard step for him to carry, many foals snickered at Sol for being different than the rest of them; how he had fallen far. They made fun of him, hurt him, and took out every pain on him.
Not wanting the same pain for every single day of his life, he ran away from his suffering. Wandering the wilds he stumbled, fell and trotted his way to elm tree. He rested under that elm tree for five days, thinking, pondering and searching himself. After the fifth day he realized that all this was his fault, not anyone else’s. He came to terms with his own mistake and he found that so many others were hurt way worse than he was. He picked himself up and carried on, helping others along the way as he wandered. With each time he helped another he felt closer to them before. Soon he could feel their emotions inside his own heart and he could do much more. On the spirit level his soul was becoming join to those he helped but when enemies came to strike him he would feel the pain and so would they. It caused that they didn’t want to strike him. The enlightenment of his time under the tree had allowed him to feel the emotions of others. He wanted to spread even more joy but he couldn’t see. He wandered for a bit longer before the enchanting sound of a piano lured him straight to a teacher. With heavy guidance and a lot of work he was able to play the piano from ear instead of eye. He went on to play for ponies and made their hearts soar.

Personality: Kind, thoughtful, open hearted, and good willed.
Current Home: Outskirts of Canterlot
Misc: He has a pet scarlet king snake that he found wounded and they became the best of friends afterwards.

Lady Anja
Name: Lady Anja

Race: Elf

Age: Indiscernible, though she appears to be around 21

Alignment: Whichever side Shadow Strike is on

Mane: A pale green, verging on the point of being white, cut to a mid length

Coat: A startling white

Cutie mark.: A sheet of paper

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: As an Elf, Anja appears to be a rather beautiful and graceful pegasus.

Distinguishing Features: Anja often wears a dress, but also a hooded cloak from which her piercing grey eyes watch.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Despite physically being a pegasus, like most of her kind, Anja is capable of incredible feats of magic. Hers in particular is focused on that of illusions and distraction. She is capable of a variety of illusions, from making it seem as if a monsoon has swept in, or that the ground is tearing itself apart, to even making it powerful enough that it seems reality itself is tearing apart around them. On more than occasion, she has escaped from seemingly inescapable situations by making it seem that she has died, or has vanished into thin air.

Weaknesses: Unlike most of her kind, who though appear frail are actually great warriors, Anja is as frail as she appears. She is not strong physically, and ultimately is incapable of running more than a few hundred metres before running out of breath. Further, she suffers from haemophilia, and thus is not suited to physical combat in the slightest.

Her illusion magic also has several key weaknesses. Primarily, once someone understands that they are illusions, then they no longer work on that pony. Secondly, as they are just illusions, Shadow cannot use them to shadow travel. Similarly, the illusions are not real, and therefore whilst they may frighten ponies, they cannot hurt them in anyway.

Occupation: Anja works as a mercenary alongside Shadow Strike.

Gear: Lady Anja wears a variety of early Victorian era clothing, and refuses to carry any sort of weapon, relying entirely on her illusion magic.

History: Lady Anja was born and raised in the Elven city of Ylaenathyr, where she was the daughter of one of the ruling nobles. However, her frailty meant she never partook in the activities her parents wished she would and made her somewhat an anomaly in the Elvish culture.

Excluded from most activities barring those which were not overly physical, Anja was disillusioned from the naivety of youth and with little else to do, quickly become a political terror. However, her evolution to this nightmare also pushed her away from her former friends and parents, resulting in her cold, uncaring attitude. Given that this change occurred within a few years, she was often seen as a kind of demon child with her silent, cold glares.

Following her father’s death after a battle with illness, she assumed position as head of the family, and by extension, control of Ylaenathyr. Her policies were tough, but ultimately fair. However, her forlorn and dispassionate reactions, combined with her refusal to talk with anyone bar her closest advisors, resulted in an ever increasing gap between her and the citizens.

This distance only worked against her, particularly when a rival noble led an attempted assassination. Whilst she managed to escape, she was bleeding, and with no allies. She managed to only get a few hundred metres before she collapsed in the forest surrounding Ylaenathyr.

She would have died there that night, had it not had been for Shadow Strike. The stallion, still young, had found her and carried her to a small town. The first encounter when they were both awake involved Anja putting a knife against Shadow’s throat, demanding to know who he was and where they were. Shadow rather panickedly explained that he had found her bleeding on the ground, then carried her to this inn, where he realised she still hadn’t stopped bleeding. He continued to explain how he had cauterised her wounds, and then that she didn’t owe him anything as long as she didn’t stab him at that moment.

What followed was an extremely loud and vehement argument, which was particularly surprising given Anja’s dislike of talking. Regardless, it continued well into the night, with Shadow stoically refusing payment, and Anja refusing to leave him till he did pay. This lead to a strange relationship between the pair. Whilst she hasn’t spoken nearly as much since that day, the pair clearly understand each other’s reactions and movements.

Over the years, they clearly developed some form of closeness, though neither would admit to being attracted to the other. Anja is still quiet, and often cold, but her time with Shadow has allowed her to warm up a little.

Personality: Anja is a quiet mare, whose rather cold attitude towards those she is not friends with often pushes ponies away. Rarely speaking, it is only when she is near Shadow that her facial expressions shift from anything but a cold, distant stare.

Current Home: Despite being a mercenary, Anja and Shadow do own a small inn in a small town, one that they recently have began to spend more and more time working at.

Shadow Strike
Name: Shadow Strike

Race: Unicorn

Age: 30

Alignment: Whomever is paying him.

Mane: A dark, matted grey cut short and ragged

Coat: A slightly lighter grey, cut similarly to his mane.

Cutie mark.: A darker patch of fur, resembling a shadow cast in low light.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Shadow is shorter than your average pony, though it does not seem to bother him.

Distinguishing Features:

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Shadow’s abilities entirely derive from his name. He is able to manipulate shadows in a variety of ways, including blinding his enemies or chaining them to the floor. However, his main strength is his ability to ‘shadow-walk’. This relatively unique ability replaces his ability to teleport with an arguably far more useful magic. That is, he is able to step into any shadow large enough to cover him, and reappear in any other shadow of similar size within a few kilometres. This does drain Shadow, but he can perform several jumps before passing out.

Weaknesses: Shadow is mortal, and possesses no physical or mental advantages over any other pony. His shadow magic also has several key weaknesses. Primarily, it doesn’t function as well in the daylight, and any source of light will quickly corrode the shadows, or remove the blindness placed upon someone. Interestingly, despite enjoying living in darkness, Shadow is actually terrified of spiders, his arachnophobia so great that he will physically freeze up in fear.

Occupation: Shadow works as a mercenary alongside Lady Anja, though he has been considering retiring from the business to work as an inn keeper.

Gear: Shadow often wears a light grey coat, and carries several knives and a longsword across his back.

History: Shadow was born in Manehatten, and was raised by his father, his mother having died at childbirth. His father was a kind stallion, but as his son grew up, he was ultimately unable to provide for his 16 year old son. Shadow however refused to let his father fail, and planned to rob one of the corrupt nobles.

His plan went off without a hitch to begin with, managing to sneak into manor by manipulating shadows around him. However, when he arrived in the room of the noble, he was shocked to find the stallion waiting for him. Shadow made a decision that night, using his shadows to hold the noble down whilst he cut his throat. From that night, Shadow began to work as assassin, murdering hundreds of ponies over the course of eight years.

Whilst not known amongst the common people, Shadow’s name was feared throughout the underworld, an assassin who could reach out and strike anyone, regardless of how re-enforced their stronghold.

However, after eight years he came across a mare, laying in a pool of blood. Confused, her picked her up and carried her to an inn. With little choice given her continuing bleeding, he cauterised her wounds. Despite his experience as an assassin, he was still quite shocked when the mare he had saved woke up, grabbed his knife and put it against his neck.

(See Anja’s sheet for what followed)

Personality: Shadow is a calm stallion, and one willing to go out of his way to help other ponies. However, whenever he is planning, or in the process, of killing someone, that warmness fades and is replaced by a cool, deadly demeanor. It is his primary nature however that warmed Anja’s heart ever so slightly.

Current Home: Despite being a mercenary, Anja and Shadow do own a small inn in a small town, one that they recently have began to spend more and more time working at.

Name: Lolk
Race: Chaos-Touched Changeling (see history)
Age: 27
Mane: Amber
Coat Chitin: Dull grayish red
Cutie mark.: N/A
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: While Lolk's left eyes is a smooth, featherless globe, his right as three points in the configuration of  triangle where a normal pony's pupil would be.
Distinguishing Features: Unusual eyes, looks much more like a pony (mane and tail instead of webbing) than most changelings.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Lolk has the ability to influence sound and song with his magic, letting him charm people with music or blast them
with focuses sound waves. By singing, he can passively drain love from anyone who listens to it, though this method shows no visible effect on the victims for several hours. He can also craft illusionary environments that last as long as he keeps playing music. He can also handle himself in melle combat with his saber, using talents he picked up along the road to deal with bandits.
Weaknesses: As soon as Lolk stops singing, most of the effects of his music (illusions, charms, etc.) dissipate. And only beings that can hear (or are incredibly sensitive to vibrations to the point of being able to "hear" things) are effected by the less physical of his abilities.
Occupation: Traveling bard, and political agent for hire.
Gear: A flute, a spelunking kit, a saber, and a raincloak.
History: Lolk began his life as part of the Chaos-Touched Hive. The Chaos-Touched got their name from a strange artifact filled with chaos magic the sat in the center of their hive. any changelings born there eventually gained special abilities, not unsimilar to cutie marks. However, this ability was a closely guarded secret, and as such most with powers were kept close to home by the Queen.

Lolk was an acception to this rule, using his persuasive abilities to convince the Queen to be allowed to leave for set intervals, then return.  Lolk had been born with an affinity for sound, especially music, and had the ability to channel his/her magic through it. Lolk had gotten permission so has to enjoy the musics of the outside world. He would travel out for around a month, then return for two months to fill the Hive with the new music he had discovered. All seemed well.

Eventually however, disaster struck. While in transit from his/her Hive to a Trottingham Music festival, Discord awoke. This sudden influx of Chaos caused the artifact in the center of the Hive to violently destabilize, turning Lolk's friends, family, and home into solid peppermint. When he returned home and discovered the tragedy, Lolk hardened emotionally, becoming a cruel trickster bent on spreading confusion and misery throughout the land. He began his career as a traveling bard, eventually branching out to Political spying and blackmailing when Nobles discovered his/her talents and offered to hire him.
Personality: Cryptic and whimsical, Lolk can't resist playing games with anyone unlucky enough to cross his path. He has something nearing a compulsion to meddle with the affairs of others, often indirectly so has to avoid retribution.
Current Home: None.
Misc: Lolk enjoys painting wall murals.

Name: Darkath Phlegethon
Race: Draconian Minotaur
Age: 27
Hair: None
Scales: Rose red scales across his chest, arms, and legs while snow white scales cover his stomach, neck, and tail.
Cutie mark.: None
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Most likely no one will see his actual scales unless you do bodily damage to him. His armor mimics the very same scale colors right in the same exact places.
Distinguishing Features:Most of his head is white except for a band that goes over his eyes, across his face. He has two large white horns that protrude from either side of his head and three smaller red horns that sit directly on top of his head. One red horn sits on the very tip of his snout. His yellow eyes burn endlessly, without a pupil to show which way he looking.
His whole entire body is made of a special armor that encloses around every single part of his body. Special parts of the armor open up to allow him to do what he needs but for the most part his armor is sealed and fused to his scales. Two large wings are folded right behind him at all times but the armor is fused to the wings as well. Standing a grand height of thirteen feet, four inches.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Thanks to the armor, and to his heritage, he has great strength; enough to carry a small shack and throw it a good fifty feet. His strength isn’t his only weapon; he carries with him a giant crossbow. Having fairly good accuracy with his crossbow but he can use his armor as a weapon by bashing the enemies with his wings. Magical energy keeps his suit fueled, and makes it so that he can move objects without major problems. He carries a sword made in the mighty Phlegethon whose blade is hotter than molten tin, boiling the very flesh it slices. He can wield it with some skill but his true skill lies with the crossbow
Weaknesses: One of his major weaknesses is to magic, he might be a magical being but the armor has been feeding off of his magic; preventing him from using it or protecting himself from it. One of a great weaknesses to his armor is that it takes a great amount of effort in order to move distance wise or use his ability to fly but that doesn't effect his ability to lift or carry things. It will take more energy to do those actions.   He might have a large crossbow but it works the same as any other crossbow that needs to be loaded manually.
Occupation: Self-employed bounty hunter
Gear: His armor suit, his large crossbow, his heated sword, and a quiver full of bolts.
History: Some time ago, two beings were joined together in the name of marriage. One was a male minotaur that fell in love with the most unlikely being. The second was a female dragon who had been smitten by the charm and compassion of the minotaur. Together they conceived a child together. Everything was right in the world but there were those that saw the union between the minotaur and the dragon as heresy. Dragons and minotaurs alike struck against the couple. Killing the minotaur father that left the dragon mother to hide her son from those that would hurt her child.

She left everything behind and journeyed to the lands of Equstria. There she left her child in the care of some ponies that were found worthy but some had other ideas for the child. Raiding one of the nights they stole away the child to a secret lab where they did experiments upon his scales and on his form. They imbued him with infernal energies that began to change him. Evil coursed through his veins every single day he was under their power. His mother had returned to find the ones she had given her child to, butchered. She fled from the area back to the mountains where she hid herself.

Over time they fused the armor to his scales and trained him in the art of combat. They thought they had broken the child but as soon as real weapons were given to him; he struck back at the ones whom had tortured him all his life. Vanquishing them, destroying the lab and running away from that life he went to work for those that would help him get closer to killing those that had hurt him. He still looks for his mother, unsure if she ever came back or if she is dead. The only family he has is lost to him.
Personality: He is often angry with everyone, his boiling blood doesn’t quell his hate for all that look upon him. Cold to those that don’t say anything about his armor but to those that express true sorrow for his body they see a entirely different side to him. A soft dragon that is kind, caring and whiling to help others.
Current Home: The  Everfree forest.
Misc: He gets extremely angry when anyone talks about the armor; he didn’t have a choice in the matter if he wanted it or didn’t want it. He will try to avoid other dragons at all costs since he is a cursed being.

Name: André Léon
Race: Earth Pony
Age: 27
Mane: Dark blue with light stripes of light sky blue
Coat: Pearl White
Cutie mark.: A rifle and a sword crossed
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add:He takes care of his weapons almost with habit. It is a bit sickening to keep cleaning the rifle with the sheer amount of care he has for it. He won’t let anyone else use his rifle and if they try he will break their legs.
Distinguishing Features: He has a bullet scar that runs down the left side of his body. He is always wearing a blue uniform that has only one medal on his left side. On top of his head is a standard issue cloth hat that bears the mark of the princess Luna. Sliver cloth chains hang off of the black cap while a white feather sticks up.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He can maintain his weapon some degree in skill. Cleaning, changing and fixing the weapon where needs be. His skill firing the weapon accurately is higher than his ability to maintain his weapon. He can hit a target accurately at four hundred yard and anything past that is more variable. He can hit the target 3 out of five times. He trained in the art of hand to hand combat with a bayonet and rifle. Some training in the art of the medic thanks to constant blunders.
Weaknesses: Having only one shot in his gun he has to take time to reload his gun but he can be angered if one talks about his wife in ways that would degrade her. His depression can also be used against him when it comes to his life as a regular guard unlike his brothers and sisters. Being common he doesn’t have any magic or resistance to it.
Occupation: Lunar Guard
Gear: His rifle, saber, bayonet, and backpack full of other common equipment.
History: It was a long time ago in the past of André he had been raised with three sisters and three brothers, being in the middle of the pack he was ignored for the most part. He enjoyed his time alone often. Wandering outside of the villa where his family lived. Sometimes he would wander far from the villa and into the dark forest in the distance. Overtime he grew away from his family because of their ignorance. Because of that Ignorance he went all the way from his family as to work for the guard when he was old enough. During training he was accidently shot in the side by a trainee but his soon to be wife was taken by death through a sickness that murdered his fair wife. After that day André grew more silent then before.
Personality: Hard, unspoken, and contains his thoughts within his mind. He isn’t much for the talking type but he will interact with people once and awhile when he is feeling like it.
Current Home: Canterlot
Misc: He carries a picture of his wife in his pocket

Name: Sanguistrophic Desire (Sanguis is latin for blood, Trophic is greek for 'feeds upon', Her name meant 'The desire to feed on blood')

Race: Unicorn Vampire

Age: 2372

Mane: A lush pitch black color.

Coat: A pristine alabaster.

Cutie mark.: A droplet of blood dripping from the underside of a golden heart.

Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Loves chocolate.

Distinguishing Features: The way her scent is enchanted to be enticing and intoxicating, and her brilliantly red eyes.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Due to enchantments on herself and two thousand years to work on it, she is quite good at seduction, her enchanted scent only making it that much easier to seduce another pony. As a Vampire, she is quite strong, about like the average minotaur and she has very quick regeneration, able to regenerate any limb or organ in minutes, except her heart and brain, those take at least eight hours to fix themselves.

Weaknesses: Within Sunlight, she is half-blind and her strength dwindles to average, and her regeneration slows down greatly, taking twice the time needed on average. To kill her is a very difficult process, there only being a small window to do so. There are four steps to it; 1) Remove her heart, 2) Decapitate, 3) Incinerate the body, 4) Stake the heart. Desire is also the bearer of a very irritating curse, which makes it so she can only drink the blood of one who offers it to her.

Occupation: N/A

Gear: A large scarf

History: Desire was born into her Vampirism, of an almost extinct genus of Vampiric nature called the Vampirus Renovo. As she grew, she slowly learned her limits and how she was different from other ponies, but as she grew to adulthood, a dark magic user had tried to bed her, and she had refused his advances, so he went away, but left behind the curse which causes her to be unable to take blood, but must be given it. Eventually, Desire's mind grew to more of an in-the-moment type, and her memories of past that rarely extend beyond two hundred years, the furthest back being the stallion who cursed her, and she even remembers coming close to being slaughtered when ponies thought she was in league with Nightmare Moon when she tried taking over. That was not a fun year, but they did not know a few of the steps to killing her, nor did they know that they had to be done in order. After she finally turned two thousand, she decided to go to Canterlot with all the money she had made thoughout the years, and established herself there after a long while of getting herself through the delightful(hellish) parties the nobles set up. She soon rose up to become somewhat of a legend, since she's lived so long, most think she was either a Succubus or a changeling, but none ever guessed the truth. She now lives as Trophis House's only living member.

Personality: Kind, mischievous, playful, and always flirty. if one is on her bad side she is cold and easily angered.

Current Home: A mansion in Canterlot.

Misc: Loves cookies.

Name: Illicio Bellitudo

Race: Pegasus

Age: 24

Mane: Long, leafy green, covers the left half of his face.

Coat: Dark sage green, wings dappled with a darker green, almost like camouflage.

Cutie mark.: A net.

Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Bright emerald green eyes.

Distinguishing Features: The fact he looks and sounds very feminine, to the point of having to get in bed to prove he's a guy.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Bell is a master at making nets, traps, snares and other such things. He is able to jury rig near any of his traps to work perfectly with minimum work needed, and he is able to hide the traps very well, to the point of one being clueless as to where the trap came from.

Weaknesses: Bell may be smart and good with his traps, but he is weak and cannot take much punishment, and requires at least a minute or two to set up his traps, unless he has his Runstones.

Occupation: Trapper.

Gear: Saddlebags with several coils of rope and extra odds and ends to make his traps, as well as enchanted stones with small runes on them, a storage spell to contain a net within each of them, which he can throw to release the net and entangle a target. Also a black hoodie. A sleeping bag.

History: Illicio was born to a family of zoologists, and grew up around animals, learning their natural habits and what, on average, they did. Eventually he decided to help capture more of them for study and such, so began him growing up with making several different kinds of traps as he grew older, slowly and surely perfecting them and making them very hard to avoid and escape. As he got his new job as a trapper, he made a few friends with the ones buying his services, but they never did realize he was a guy. He now spends most of his time in his shack near the Everfree, making nets and traps all over a large area of the woods whenever he's paid to catch something.

Personality: Kind, friendly, always tries to be a little flirty, and is slightly shy towards stallions.

Current Home: Edge of the Everfree.

Misc: Likes coffee. A lot.

Name: Starlight Abyss

Race: Classified as a 'Greater Outsider', which is a generic, catchall phrase for anything of immense power and from beyond the current dimension, though the more accurate term for Starlight is 'Grimoire'. She either appears as a unicorn in a feathery dress or a pegesai with her wings worn like a dress.

Age: lost count somewhere, but her physical age is 25.

Mane: A long, dark purple mane that seems to absorb light when it hits.

Coat: Light grey. Though short in appearance, she manipulates it to be soft to help indulge in the sensation of being near or touching another pony.

Cutie mark: A book with a strange language written in it. Cutie mark courtesy of Khaos.

Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: she does not use her mouth to speak. She has a massive wingspan of 24 feet. She seems to glow brightly in the dark. Her main method of speech is to project what she wants to say onto the recipient's sense of hearing, causing her 'voice' to sound off.

Distinguishing Features: She is extremely tall compared to other ponies, being twice the normal height. Her wingspan is a massive 24 feet, being long enough that she usually wraps them around herself and wears it like a large, feathery dress.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Her main ability as a Grimoire is her vast library of information, which manifests as a personal dimension. It contains every facet and piece of knowledge of the universe. She can manipulate it and condense it into the physical plain, were it can be used as a weapon or a tool. That in and of itself is limited by the dimension she is trying to use it in, so any objects that don't fit with the reality don't cross over from her personal dimension over to the current one. Her extradimensional binding makes it so she cannot create items that alter cause/effect nor any items that have a large destructive use. Other than that, she has basic unicorn magic like telekinesis and short range teleportation.

Weaknesses: Her physical form is easily broken, as she has trouble keeping it together when she isn't concentrating, usually reducing her to dark grey goo. She is unable to utilize her physical body very well for movement, leaving her movements slow and odd looking. She is a poor flyer, and has to move her massive wings more than usual to stay up in the air. She also isn't allowed to disclose any information that is mind breaking or fate altering.

Occupation: Librarian or Nurse when the annual jobs are open.

Gear: A wizard style hat and a potion brewing kit.

History: Starlight was not born so much as she appeared inside her personal dimension. She was a mass of words, symbols and numbers that floated around, with other masses making sure no knowledge was lost. She read to pass the time, played with the other Grimoires that would show up from time to time, and talk with the Guardians of the throne of god when they appeared from time to time. The existence was timeless, eternal, and without much meaning to it.

One day, she felt a force pulling on her, drawing her away from her dimension. She felt the words, the numbers, and the symbols that comprised her body condensed into a form, and the form given meaning. She appeared in the real world, having little sense of orientation, but realizing she was in a room, surrounded by ponies and trapped in a circle of blood with five candles marking different points. Five unicorns remained, their horns broken and fractured, the other twenty involved in the summoning were dead, and being pulled in to add to Starlight's new body. She didn't watch the process, but she awoke in her new form, with the one unicorn standing in front of her new and gigantic form. The unicorn's remaining family had passed out from the strain and the pain, and she was told by the unicorn to 'kill' a pony named 'Sapphirus' and the unicorn showed her a picture and let her out of the circle. The unicorn explained the path to Sapphirus in detail to Starlight. Starlight then had to leave the room, and she fell flat on her face. Bound and determined, she gathered her muscular power, realizing that was how she had to move, and launched herself towards the door. So she tumbled head over hooves out the door, though she got stuck because of her wings. Feeling around in her newfound body, she pulled her wings around herself as a way to reduce the size of herself. She again, threw herself through the doors, managing to get outside, into the crystal gardens. Throwing herself down the pathways, she eventually made it to the main house.

The main house proved to be a challenge. Yes the doors were open, but there were stairs in the way. So she threw herself up the stairs, then fell right back down. Bound and determined, she tired again. And again. And again. Poking around in her brain, she found a solution. Using the unicorn telekinetic, she threw herself up the stairs, but this time didn't fall back down. She used her magic to drag herself down the hallway, into the room that Sapphirus was in. Well, she wasn't exactly quiet on the way in, causing Sapphirus, who was eighteen at the time, to wake up and see her coming into his room. Well, Starlight didn't understand the concept of killing, so she just threw herself at Sapphirus, and to Sapphirus there was a mare throwing herself at him. He couldn't turn down the offer. Sapphirus introduced himself to the mare, and asked who she was. Starlight introduced herself without using her vocal chords, which caused Sapphirus to flinch, but he began to stroke her mane, causing Starlight to purr without even thinking about it, and then, she realized that she felt a new feeling; Tiredness. She drifted to sleep while lying on top of Sapphirus. Soon, a relationship formed.

Within a few months of their first meeting, Sapphirus had taught Starlight how to walk, climb stairs, open doors, use unicorn magic, somewhat fly using her wings, and had gotten a pegesai to teach her how to preen her massive wings. She in turn, showed Sapphirus the Apocrypha, in its entirety. Sapphirus had made her his pet project, and she made a point of not leaving his side. Soon, one of Sapphirus' relatives came and asked about marriage, seemingly busy arranging one for him. She then saw Starlight with Sapphirus, and asked them if Starlight had any family they needed to contact. Starlight answered no, and before Starlight and Sapphirus knew it, they stood before Celestia, and were declared husband and wife.

During the winter of that year, as Starlight had become more accustomed to her body, she had a strange tingling sensation between her legs. She would ask Sapphirus about them during his studies, and he would reply that he didn't know. After a few days of this, the tingling had grown into a burning sensation, and she flung herself at Sapphirus. Sapphirus finally realized that Starlight could in fact, have heat cycles in the first place, and didn't have much of a choice in satisfying her. Later on, Starlight would find out she was pregnant with twins. It was a strange and joyous eleven months, with Starlight having to cope with the urges of her body, including her sudden urge to eat a gallon of ice cream, and giving herself a brain freeze.

Giving birth was a new experience for Starlight, and most definitely not a pleasant one. Including giving birth to twins, she had to hold back her otherworldly power, as the binding was weakening during the birthing process, from destroying the hospital. Sapphirus was by her side throughout the entire process, helping her concentrate. She was rewarded with the wonderful sound of crying. Her foals crying out for her, they gave her one of them, but refused to let her see the other one. They told her later that the other child was stillborn, but the first twin survived. She cradled the beautiful child she was allowed to hold, with its beautiful gossamer wings, tiny fangs, curved horn, and the funny little holes in its legs. But the child was taken away for surgery, and she later got it back with neither of its beautiful gossamer wings. She talked with Sapphirus on a name for the child, and they eventually settled on 'Diamond Mind'.

Starlight was very protective of Diamond after she learned of what happened to his twin, and she refused to let him out of her winged embrace for the first few years of her life, and spent her spare time teaching him magic, even though he was unable to speak. She then let up on being overprotective, but worked with her husband to make sure Diamond was extremely sheltered. Diamond ended up moving out at age 20, after avoiding two arranged marriages. She still keeps tabs on her son(daughter) between having adventures of her own and learning to fit in with equestrian society.

Personality: Distant, bubbly and curious. She has a set of odd quirks, due to her previous form being a genderless and shapeless mass. She is always attempting to learn more about the physical form and the different sensations such as touch and hearing. She most definitely knows more than she lets on, and she's uncomfortable sharing information she really shouldn't be.

Current Home: House Myalo or the Apocrypha

Misc: A Grimoire is a type of great old one that contains all information in the universe on everything. This doesn't mean that they can necessarily use all of it, nor does it mean that they understand all of it.

Her personal dimension (or the Apocrypha, as it's called) looks as if the walls, the floor and the ceiling are lined with bookshelves filled with books. There are stairs, but their placement makes no sense, there are doors that lead to nowhere and ponies that look made from a collection of symbols and words roam around, seemingly keeping the books in order. Words float about, sometimes forming tendrils hanging at odd angles. They seem to like wrapping around ponies and holding them if they're intruders. Normally, the tendrils just pet passing ponies, looking for a container. Words carry special property in the dimension, as the word 'pain' will cause pain, and the word 'heal' will cure a pony of any ailments and close their wounds. Ponies can only go in with Starlight's permission.
