What is life? Some say it's what we all fight to protect, others mention a spark that we live and die for. It's all part of the Balance. Good, Evil. War, Peace. Life... Death.
So could be said for many of this world, swirling around the ancient abyss that is the void of all nothingness. Worlds in control of their own Balance are just that; balanced. Worlds that teeter on the bounds out of their control are swallowed up by the Void.
But so should not be said for this world; Equestria. Many a night the beings of power have pondered just what makes their world so... Unjustly happy. Is it a curse? Perhaps a long lost spell effecting the lands? Maybe, just maybe an ancient being in hiding?
Whatever the case, a few of the many on the planet have deemed it necessary to seek out the truth, shall it take them deep into cursed woodland? A castle ruined by conflict? This adventure starts off in the worst of places; Gigantic sand worms are a constant threat so it is said of the Badlands of Equestria. One of the few places ponies Griffins, and many other of the planets inhabitants live, if it could be called 'living'.
A pony walks through the door to a tavern built into the plateau, removing the large cowl covering his face and ears, and resting the goggles on his head he surveys the area. He clenches his hands popping a few knuckles, causing a nearby waitress to eye him warily, he sits at the bar stool silently, and so the bustle of the bar returns, a few taking up playing the piano and singing for a few bits in their pockets. A couple ponies and Griffins speaking with each other, in hushed tones of course. Shady business is popular in the Syphys of the Badlands.
The bartender finally steps up to the pony and clears his throat, causing the pony to look up, "May I help you stranger?" At this time the bar had gone silent, as the pony did calculations: one bartender, three patrons, two music players, two waitresses.
He nodded and in a gruff voice spoke, "Sip of water please." The bartender seemed to relax at that, as did the griffin behind him who thought it nice to slide his knife back into its sheath with a rather loud *shink*. Getting his water quickly he downed it, clearing his own throat he said in a much calmer less harsh tone, "My thanks Bartender. I.... Do however apologize for what is to come next."
He attempts to ask why, however the stallion grabs his head and smashes it into the bar, out cold he spins around ducking in time to avoid a knife that'd have pierced his throat. Raising his hand in an uppercut he completely misses the griffin, punching the air in front of him. The pony behind him wielding a pair of rusty brass knuckles scoffs, "Ya missed him!" The griffin however did not think it so, a long thin line had slowly grown from mid torso to just above his throat blood began leaking out of it, and as his body dropped the Stallion asked, "What is the sharpest object known to Equestria?" The pony enraged charged at the Stallion, only to fall over beheaded as a grim looking Stallion spoke softly, "Water."
While the rest left, the waitresses screaming and fleeing the Stallion remained unfazed, and unmoved. When they finally left he breathed a sigh of relief, "Glad it was only two. Last time a waitress pulled a knife bigger than..." He cut himself off and pulled out a pouch from his small travel bag, a cylinder shaped crystal with a focused tip emanating blue light was what he pulled out, setting it down he whispered, "May the Light guide those who are worthy here, so we may take part on a journey to the truth."
With that a bright light engulfed the room only to be focused into the top of the crystal and shine into the ceiling, invisible to all but those who it needed. "Let's get this cleaned up Flask." He began dragging the bodies to the back to the shoot sending them to the city under the city.
(Five other players needed, totaling it to six.)
(Ok with long walks ((on the beach)) and traveling.)
(Fighters, mages, whatever, as long as he/she/it can fight.)
(No preference on gender or species, do note either way you may end up being hit on)
(Anthro, also be prepared for: minotaurs, orcs, goblins, (the blue and smart ones, not the green and barbaric ones) and a dragon.)
