Edge's ears had perked up at the sound of a crackling in the sky.  She looked up, just out of habit, and frowned.  If only she still had functioning eyes.  Listening carefully, she recognized the sound at last: magic.  Of some sort.  She was about to turn to the voice next to her and inquire about the magic in the sky, when a stallion's voice behind her declared that it was a bomb.

Honed Edge did not like bombs.  Cowardly things, though she'd never say so out loud. Bomb making was technically a skill, and so her codes allowed them. Still. Not to mention all the collateral, with the large crowd. Perhaps the bomb-maker wanted collateral. Edge's eyes narrowed under the blindfold. Injuring neutrals was usually an indicator of intentions opposite her own. Maybe she would find a war after all.

For the time being, Edge decided to get as far away from the blast. Burnt pieces took time to regrow, and she did not feel like spending further months with medics. They always insisted that she "waited to be healed properly" and she insisted that she was healed properly enough. So she began moving in a direction away from the courthouse, and quickly discovered the magical barrier. More annoyances. She would need to check the strength of the barrier. She turned around and slammed her hind legs into it with what neared her full strength, listening around the sound of her hoof cracking to find if the barrier yielded.

Diamond chuckled, then looked up, seeing the red lines forming. "That's my cue. Sorry about this, but you guys are useless, as usual." Diamond said as he and the Silver Knights teleported out of the range of the barrier. This was adorable, no, admirable. Spellcraft like this was rare outside of ponies of his caliber. He turned on his magic sense, and detected a portal in the crowd. Diamond would have to ask this pony for a drink later at this rate. There was an explosive rune there as well, but that was of no concern to him.

Diamond fired off the signal flare, causing more Silver Knights to uncloak on the buildings. They were all outside of the blast zone. They took up greatbows and were prepared to deal with any pony who charged at the door to the court. Diamond scanned the skies for the magic signature. It belonged to a pegesai. He took a spear from his quiver of weapons, then set up his Dragon Slayer bow. He notched the spear, a strange and particularly scary looking spear. It had runes all over it. It was a copy, but was potent either way. He aimed at the magic dot, and fed the spear the magic signature, ensuring the spear would find the user, rather than the magic. Finally, he pulled the string all the way back. He shouted "Gae Bolg!" as he loosed the spear. There was a loud boom as the spear turned into a streak of magical light to give chase to the wielder of the magic, the resulting blast of wind caused Diamond's hat to come off.

Azrael was quick to grasp the meaning of the giant death sigil floating up above the crowd, up in the cloud layer. His humming ceased quickly, his lips pursed gently as he considered his choice of actions. The barrier around the edges of the crowd was visible even from here, and that was just plain annoying. Bombing large crowds was not justice. It was cruelty. It was insanity. It was a warmongerer's tactic, and it did not belong in a city. It was the kind of mess reserved for those who were either stupid or desperate, either to make a point or to secure something they desired.
Sadly for this would-be instigator, Azrael wanted his desires a lot. So it was with no regrets that he drew forth his weapons of choice from the deepest abyss, reaching out both right and left hooves as he drew them from what seemed to be the air itself.
A sword, with two distinct blades, which burned with a fire as black as the darkest nights, was brought into his left hoof, and a megaphone, a wing carved in a silver relief along each side, was drawn forth and brought to his mouth with his right. With both in hoof, his image and voice would carry afar.
In but a few meager moments, he was prepared.
Let the angels sing...
"Ponies of Canterlot, stand fast and hold." he waved the sword casually upwards as he let his voice pour into the megaphone, amplifying its range and volume to let it reach at least a decent distance into the crowd, as he let loose a gout of blue-white fire directly towards the heavens, "The Princess herself is here, I want you all to recall that. Do not think that she would ever let harm come to any of us. Certainly not in her presence. This dark person desires panic, and we shall not give it to them. Let them come and face us head on, and then we shall show them our strength. Do not let some petty coward hiding behind shadows and mirrors frighten you with smoke and some pretty lights, but instead, force him down from his lofty, gilded throne, and do not give him a victory such as this."

"Mmmm..." As soon as Diamond walked off, Cyntjia narrowed her eyes. "Sergeant Midnight, belay those previous orders. Instead, get your guards and the re-enforcements to clear the steps and calm the crowd. Then," she smiled. "I want you to watch that stallion and..." She paused as he unleashed his spear. "Arrest him. Vigilante justice is not only illegal, but that spear is... Well, it looks rather dangerous, doesn't it?"

Cynthia blinked as Azrael spoke, wincing slightly at the volume. "Gods..." However, she did follow his example. "As my friend says," she shouted, her voice carrying somewhat through the crowd. "Celestia will not let harm come to any of us. Please remain calm, and the entire situation will be resolved peacefully." She trotted down and steps, moving past several guards and smiled, stroking the mane of a crying filly. "Hey there little one, everything is gonna be okay~"

FUCK! What the hell is going on now? Tylus felt a magical surge erupt all around him as a magical rune he recognized was manifested. Around the entire area, noticing the that the magic seemed to curve he figured he was stuck in a barrier. Shit! Not enough time to draw out a teleportation circle or barrier circle.

Tylus proceeded to bury himself in his ditch to provide some protection from the inevitable blast as he wasn’t sure how large it was going to be. He could still hear the screams coming from inside and the following events made clear to him by the words spoken as he could still hear everything through the listening circle. The silver knight was still being a dick, and apparently gone all super hero or something a ways a way now. Some other pony was shouting super loud and it was hearting Tylus’s ears, claiming celestia would protect them. Sure maybe you, but I doubt she’s gonna protect a dragopony that she doesn’t even know exists here.

He was sure to leave a hole so he could breathe fine but small enough it would still provide cover. He felt the presence of spiritual pressure inside the room coalescing and then scattering about. He didn’t remember the courthouse ever being haunted, there must be a medium inside the room as well. It’s just a Fuster Cluck of weird ponies in there today isn’t it?

The origin of this magic surge seemed to jump around a bunch and Tylus couldn’t pin down the location of where it was coming from, not like it mattered at this point anyway. Its not like it would help him figure out who, what, or why. But if tylus had to guess it was probably that pony he felt from earlier a ways above the court house. Tylus made a note to himself to try and find out who that is if he survives this. With events going the way that they are, he figured that this was an overly elaborate escape plan for this Sin Ester. Well whoever it was didn’t seem to care about discretion, as the one who yelled it’s a bomb didn’t seem to have any inflection of actual panic in their voice so either it was an accomplice or the actual worker of the magic. In any case it’s important to memorize that voice for later. Tylus hunkered down and waited for what was to happen next.

The words of the guard struck his ears with the force of command but he knew better to not get involved with superfluous problems of mortals. Taking a step down from the top of the court steps he melted back into the crowd of the colorful ponies that stood just outside of the courthouse. Moving a bit closer to the side, staying out of the way to prevent himself being trampled by the crowd. Nothing would be worse then being trampled by the crowd.

A hush fell on the crowd, something was forming in the sky. The clouds bent and twisted into new shapes that resembled a Rune he had seen long ago. That rune was in fact a bomb and Dirge stood up with his red eyes narrowing on the strange rune. His breath seized up in his throat, the dark feeling of despair formed in the bottom of his heart. It felt as if something was crawling under his very fur. Dirge's eyes widened as he looked down to his own body.

The world grew quiet, his still beating heart was replaced by a choir of death. The green mist flowed out from his amulet around his neck. The amulet began to glow brighter every moment that fear and despair filled his soul. Turn his head to the side he began to mutter to himself "No, not now we can't change." his pleas were ignored as the flesh began to fall off his form. Melting away into the white bones that made up his body. The once black fur was beginning to rip apart as green mist peeked out of the living flesh.

All at once the living flesh was suddenly replaced by bone in a flash of green light. A heavy cursed steel cleaver stood by his side while red flames burned in his eye sockets. Turning around slowly the heavy plate armor clasped around his bone body with a helmet to protect his head. Green mist rushed across the ground next to him causing the very life around him to suddenly fade away. The heavy cleaver, Despair the sword of oblivion, glowed brightly for a moment. Six runes were etched into the cursed steel in heavy stitching.

Dirge faced the explosive rune high in the sky, his hoof was clasped tightly around his cursed sword. Drawing the green mist cursed sword from his side he was ready for whomever would attack the grace of the dead. "There will be dead to bury... and it is my burden to bury the dead. It is their destiny continue onto their next passage." he muttered to his sword. Ponies around him could only look upon him with looks of terror. A cry rang out at the skeleton standing there at the court wall.

Eq would look around at the chaotic scene that was unfolding around him. Watching this, his metal mind quickly scrambled for a plan of action. Firstly, it ran through his core laws, given to him by one of his creators who read way too many old sci-fi novels. First and foremost of these were to not to harm ponies, or to allow harm to come to ponies by inaction. Thusly, his hand was forced to deal with the big explosive rune threatening to kill everyone in its radius.

Fortunately, Eq had a genius plan. He was going to eat the rune. If he ramped up the power of his magic consumption field, he could probably destroy the rune powering the barrier and provide for the escape of ponies. He might burn for a bit afterwards, and nearby unicorns definitely wouldn't appreciate it, but it beat dying. So, he got as close to the deadly explosive rune as he could and started to concentrate on his systems, putting off an invisible field in which magical power would be sucked into his body. This took all of his focus and seemed to be slowly damaging the golem, the aura of telekinesis-like magic glowing much brighter around the metal golem.

PostSubject: Re: Prevention or Cure   Prevention or Cure - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Nov 16, 2014 4:13 am

Midnight felt, insulted by Diamond. Sure, she'd be the first to admit the guards didn't have the perfect track record, but she'd also be the first to point out that was the Solar guards that had failed in their duties in guarding the city walls during the day. The Lunar guard had a better track, but it seemed ignorance lived in all ponies. This Diamond pony was one of many, and one she did not appreciate trying to overrule the laws given to them by the Princesses.

That's when Midnight heart Cynthia gave Midnight orders. Finally, something that could work for her. She was average at commanding, and given what was happening was magical in nature, she had no idea how to deal with it. She was a Thestral after all, not a unicorn. Magic was not something she understood much of, and whatever was happening, it looked back.

She turned to the Lunar guards who were deployed with her, knowing they'd need many more to remove the threat the magic, and Diamond's knights, presented.
"Roger that Ma'am, but first things first, we need to secure the courtyard. The civilians in this region need protecting, we can worry about what caused it once every pony is safe!" She called back to Cynthia, before returning to her guards.

"Secure the courtyard! Find Solar unicorns and get them to find a solution to this mess, we're ill-equipped to deal with a magic assault of this magnitude. Once this is done, I want teams escorting everyone out of this courtyard. 2nd squad, I want you to secure Sin Ester, I fear this may be a diversion to break him out of prison. Every pony else, I was these stairs held, you have authority to arrest any pony who seems to try break Sin Ester free"

The Lunar guards moved to their orders, and Midnight was left with only a few that could actually move into the crowd. It wasn't ideal, but this barrier cut of many of their reinforcements and without unicorns making holes in the barrier, they couldn't get through. Still, they couldn't abandon their charges. Midnight whistled to two of her guards.
"Keep an eye on that Diamond pony, track him if he leaves this area. I have a feeling he has something to do with this. Report back to me if something suspicious happens" she ordered, before realizing she'd lost track of Cynthia.

As for Midnight herself, she moved forwards into the crowd. She needed to see if anypony in it was hurt, after a call of 'bomb' was made. She hadn't heard an explosion, meaning there might still be time to find it and, get rid of it or something, before it exploded. She was walking along when she noticed something that was a first for her. It was a, draopony? She'd read about their kind, and honestly thought they were interesting stories. But never thought they were a thing, turns out today she was just on a streak of getting the unexpected.

'Still, A dragopony would be a great ally right now. If we need to hold out till the unicorns figure out how to take down the barrier, having an extra ally wouldn't hurt in the slightest' she thought to herself, before kneeling down to the creature. But the creature was in the group, and the first thought that came to Midnights head was it had been injured in some way.

"Sir! Are you ok?" She asked, leaning down to Tylus "I'm a member of the Lunar Guard, it'll be ok. Now come on, we've gotta get you out of here. If the call of a bomb is real, the last place you want to be is stuck in the ground" She wasn't yelling, but she was trying to make her words sound like orders without them being too cruel. She had to be delicate with civilians with how far they were pushed, but right now, that wasn't the biggest concern. She needed this area evacuated, and having a fire breathing dragopony as an ally, they are invaluable allies.

“Get past crowd of idiots… check!” Ampera thought to herself, sighing happily. “Finally, all obstacles have been overcome... Soon! So very soon!” she smiled and continued walking further down the road past the crowd of ponies, and the courthouse they were crowded around.

“... What’s so important about a damned criminal anyways? Murder, experimentation... Bah! Big deal…. I’d execute the bastard for getting in the way of me and my breakfast alone… That’s the real crime here” she mumbled as a few stray sparks escaped her horn, the thought of her being denied her precious sugary treats enough to sour her mood completely.

That was about when everything went to hell. Giant death runes, huge magical barriers, ponies firing balista ammunition out of crossbows at the sky, and… Yep. That was a bucking skeleton. “What the buck…” she said to herself, blinking a few times to make sure what she was seeing was actually there, as the aforementioned events and their accompanying commotions were enough to get her to turn around. “Yep… Well. Alright then.” The sheer absurdity of the situation was enough to keep her temper in check, and her horn ceased its sparking.

After various very creative expletives about the competence of certain ponies in the guard, Ampera sighed. “I’m not getting my donuts, am I?” she asked nopony in particular as she sat down in defeat.

Tylus suddenly stopped digging as he heard hoof steps making an approach in his direction, from the sound of the metal along with it, he recognized it as a guard. He had heard the sergeants voice nearby earlier and wondered if it was her. Hopefully it is the sergeant. She seemed reasonable enough, at least I certainly hope she is. Using an anesthetic dart on her would be counterproductive seeing as how I’ve got nowhere to run.

Swiftly the dragopony removed his iron mask, attaching it to a specified belt clip on his utility belt, pulled up his scarf over his muzzle and threw up his hood to keep all his facial features hidden. Celestia knows the guardsponies are having a rough day as it is, don’t want to make her have to struggle to hold her lunch in as well. Midnight got to where Tylus was standing before he could tuck is wings under his cloak, which he internally berated himself for, but he was able to sweep the listening rune off the wall with his tail as he turned around.

The guardspony spoke and he recognized the voice as the sergeant immediately, he remembered her name from when he gone over the current equestrian chain of command, but beyond that nothing of note ever came up about her. Though he had heard rumors of a bounty hunter in the lunar guard and some have pointed their hoof at her but then again the lunar guard always had a shit ton of rumors floating around about practically every thestral in the damn guard. This didn’t really interest him as he had made it a point to keep a low enough profile to not get a bounty placed on him. Tylus figured this would be a good moment to play the part of the vagrant as he slowly stumbled to his hooves and nodded his head at her question. He kept his head low so his face remained shadowed.

It was clear by the sergeants tone of voice that Tylus wouldn’t be able to just walk away from her. However, just now he heard a very strange voice and felt an even stranger presence coming from the direction of the crowd. The type of presence that told Tylus to stay as far away as possible. Also the words spoken sounded like a metaphor for that he was about to start killing everypony so that definitely wasn’t good. Worse yet he felt his Hide Presence spell was fading which may make him vulnerable to any of those sensitive to magic, hopefully that medium from earlier remains noncombative. Tylus quickly stepped up close to the seargent putting a hoof to her shoulder and shaking lightly. He then pointed into the direction he felt that strange presence, he hoped he was pointing in the right direction as he wasn’t completely sure. He did make the movements in a way that stressed urgency so hopefully she’ll get the hint. Better yet this may give him the opportunity to slip away.

Dirge’s hollow eyes stared deep into the explosive rune above his head. The fire in his eyes reaching new levels of destructive elements and anger boiling away his misty insides. Bones clanking as he took his first step past the rotting land he left behind. The earth conforming to his bony hoof while his sword pressed up against his side.
The sword leaked green mist that released whispers of the dead to anyone that would be willing to hear the death cries. Dirge on the other hoof was use to the strange murmurings of his sword. He didn’t care what the sword said to him or anyone else for that matter. Right now it was behind him and the one who had summoned the giant rune on the verge of exploding.
Dirge grit his teeth as the looming rune came a little closer. Nothing around him would distract him from his present goal of defending himself but in an act of pride; Dirge thrust his sword into the air above his head. In a loud voice he yelled at the rune “You think that cheap magic trick will stop me from cleaving your head clean from your body?! I have seen better wizards try to light me on fire then what you are doing!”
The ones closest to Dirge cowered at the sight of a large skeleton waving around a giant sword. Some took cover behind objects they thought would protect them from the large skeleton while others simply laid on the ground in hopes that he was going to pass over them like a plague. Dirge didn’t care for this citizens since he already had a target and none of these lower people were an effort to put forth.
Dirge planted his sword straight into the ground, thunder of metal clashing against the stone rumbled forth from the strange sword he held close to him. Dirge wasn’t going to be scared by the rune and neither was his will to fight the rune.

Scythe spotted that one mare, sitting down in despair, before closing the portal and chuckling to himself. "Well well, whoever is causing that chaos, I must applaud to you, good sir!" he said to himself and chuckled again. and brought up his binoculars, looking at the madness from afar. "Perhaps I could save that mare... or no... I'll let this thing settle down a bit first." he thought out loud, shifting his gaze from the pony on the clouds, then at Canterlot again, and back to the pony at the clouds.

"Egh, buck it." he said as he opened a portal a few meters away from himself and then another portal just under Ampera in attempt to bring her to safety.

Prevention or Cure - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Prevention or Cure   Prevention or Cure - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Nov 23, 2014 4:03 pm

As panic began, at least in some spaces of the crowd, Zen couldn't help but chuckle anew. Sure he didn't know it wasn't all being caused by him, but that hardly mattered as he was still getting something of a kick out of it. At least until he heard a rather unfamiliar voice that he wasn't quite sure if it was in his head or not. Never-the-less, Zen was a little shocked when he found an ethereal figure seemingly trying to communicate with him or at least ask him some questions. After the initial shock of that, Zen shrugged. "Sure, I plan to save everyone, and why not," he said to the spirit, or himself, or the wind, he wasn't all that positive at the moment as his primary concerns were more on the crowd...and the rapidly approaching object.

At first, Zen thought it was just an arrow, but then as it got closer Zen realized it was actually a spear hurtling towards him. He barely had time to open a portal in front of his chest where the weapon was aimed before it reached him, though once it was through the opening and in his pocket dimension, Zen closed the portal with a harsh cough. Pulling away his hoof to see a bit of blood on it, Zen grimaced. "Dang, didn't expect the response to be that quick, or... that at all," he muttered while noticing a few things down below and taking his scythe back into both hooves. Tracing back the path of the spear, Zen's eyes fell on another dot on the roof of a building. With a chuckle, Zen cut a new portal into his pocket dimension with his scythe and flew inside before shutting the portal.

The scenes below that had troubled him were that while the crowd had started to panic nice and wildly, after Azrael's and Cynthia's shouts, they were already calming back down or at least not panicking as wildly. Then there was what was happening around Eq and the fact that just moments after he'd turned up his magic consumption field, the lines within a certain radius of him disappeared though the barriers themselves were still clearly visible despite a portion of several lines just disappearing and if he moved to where a line was no longer in the magic consumption field, it gradually reformed. Then there was Edge's kick, which while it hit solidly, didn't break through the lightly shimmering barrier. What it did accomplish though was a decent sized crack spreading about 1ft in three different directions from the point of impact. When the assault didn't continue for a second, a portion of the barrier about 5 ft wide shimmered slightly bright for a moment as the crack slowly began to disappear.

Seconds after Zen had cut his portal and dived through before closing it again, a loud tearing sound could be heard behind Diamond as Zen's scythe cut apart the fabric of reality and he flew out of the lightless space. Shifting the scythe back to his right hoof, Zen hooked the other hoof around Diamond's shoulders and pulled the pony in for a quick kiss that'd hopefully increase the level of shock and delay reaction. "Ya know, ya don't have to shoot a spear at me to get my attention, though I'll give ya credit for originality. Why don't we get some cider later, and talk. I'd love to know how ya found me so quickly, and what was up with that wacky spear hehehe," Zen said with a grin and chuckle as his golden eyes with their hourglass shaped pupils looked into Diamond's. "But for now, I've got ponies to save from nothing at all," he finished quickly while using a combination of his wings and hooves to take off quickly upwards, disappearing with another quick slash of his scythe above him to open a portal that closed the moment he was through it.

Reappearing in the heart of the crowd, but a little bit away form the courthouse itself, Zen flew through a freshly cut portal that he didn't instantly close. Instead, Zen turned right around and cut open a second portal visibly outside the barrier. With the openings made, Zen stepped through the two portals that were side by side inside the pocket dimension. "Quickly everypony, to the donut shop! No amount of evil would dare to destroy that, and if it'll get ya to hurry, the first round's on me!" he yelled back through the portals in an all too serious voice for somepony having this much fun. Overhead, the giant red explosive continued to grow in brightness and crackling, looking closer to ready to blow.

Sophie smiles, happy at the results. It appears the strange, portalling scythe-wielder had accepted her contact. The spirit had done well, though there were still other for it to potentially contact. The strange pony with the blind-fold, for a start. The spirit would head for (her? him? it?) next. In the meantime, Sophie had to find Zen. Eventually giving up trying to track his portals, Sophie waits for him to stay in one place. Seeing him stop to yell about donuts, she heads over quickly.

To Zen: Sophie reaches out mentally across the telepathy the spirit had set up. 'I am glad you accepted my request. As we are both trying to recover Sin Ester, it would advantageous to cooperate. Otherwise, I fear we will only get in one another's way. As such, could you briefly open a portal for me to the nearest rooftop?' Sophie steps into the crowd, near Zen.

Edge nearly smiled at the sound of the barrier's crack, and kicked at it a few more times.  She didn't hold back her strength, and ignored the sensations of her legs being damaged in the process.  It wasn't as though they were going to completely break, and she could splint the fractures later.

As she reared back for a kick, she heard a whisper.  She couldn't quite place the source, but it seemed to be asking her a question.  She paused momentarily in her kicking, and decided introductions would be in order. "My name is Honed Edge.  My current intention is avoiding the injury of neutral parties and preventing my own starvation.  If this is agreeable, then I am an ally. Who are you?" She very much hoped she wasn't talking to empty air. She had been mad before, and it was not her best few decades.

Edge had yet to notice the significance of some of what was happening. Her focus was on the few meters immediately surrounding her, and the rest was just background noise. Short of being explicitly told, she wouldn't notice the skeleton, the portals, and whatever else was happening. Another major drawback to blindness.

Midnight looked up, things were getting worse. The civilians were panicking and the sky was going redder and redder. Along with that, they needed to get the Civilians out of here! They needed reinforcements! They didn't have enough trained unicorns to handle the level of magic, and being trapped where she was, Midnight had no idea about reinforcements.

That's when they pointed in a direction. It wasn't much, but it was something to work off.
"Thank you, now get yourself to safety and try keep others calm. I'm certain this is a plot to release Sin Ester" She says, the last part to herself before she started moving. Thats when she spotted it.

A Skeleton?! Really? Cause today was just swimming, now they had the walking dead among them. Now came another question, deal with the skeleton looking thing that had a blade now, or later. Later it had to be, right now they needed order! They needed the civilians to calm down and they needed the unicorns to turn off all this damn magic!

"Cythia!" Midnight called out, searching for the Earth Pony. She'd managed to lose track of her early in, and right now, they needed something to calm the masses down. She walked towards the steps, and managed to spot her, much to Midnights relief.
"Ma'am. I know this may be a bad time, but things are escalating out of hand. We don't have the numbers to keep order without exposing ourselves to a possible attack. I'm certain this is all to free Sin Ester, but we need to get the civilians out of here. I need you to get them moving, somehow. While civilians are here, the guard are stuck watching over them. We can't pursue the criminals"

Diamond glanced over to Zen. "I'll find you later." He turned back around, and prodded the rune with his magic. The explosive rune would go off...nothing he could do about that. The civilians on the other hoof, had to be moved. "Silver Knights, take positions. We're going to create a mass teleportation spell." He placed his hat onto his head, then set his rune book down, flipping over to the 'Teleportation' section. The Silver Knights stood in formation around the runes. They created the template for the rune, channeling their magic into the ground, this process taking a few minutes. Then Diamond channeled his magic into the template, taking thirty seconds writing the rune.  Then the Silver Knights and Diamond activated it. Now they needed a destination. Diamond teleported to a nearby park and set the destination rune. Both runes started working immediately. Ponies from the crowd started appearing in the park. Diamond sat down and let out a sigh of relief. He wondered what the strange pegesai meant by 'Nothing at all'

((Okay, official notice to everyone. Coin's posts never happened, they are all retconned. He's left the group for now due to a job, and will not be available to RP his character.))

"Oh, thank you for saying that out loud." the robed earth pony said as he approached the steps himself, eyes locking on Midnight and Cynthia, sword still in hoof and still covered in a thin sheen of black fire. "You're right about your guards having a job to do, but I know what that thing above the lot of us is. You're also absolutely right about how you're stuck here, though for all the wrong reasons, because you have to identify the criminal before you can pursue him. On the other hoof, someone needs to inform Her Grace of this incident so that someone can fix it.. And now, with your permission, I'm going to do my stuff."
With those words, the sword and his little loudspeaker faded back into the aether, and he made a gallop for the courthouse doors, "I sure hope your guards know how to keep the ponies here calm better than I do, because I'm gonna be busy explaining what kind of massive bomb someone just gave us to the best spellcrafter here!"
After all, who here could possibly be better at magic than the mare who'd been moving the heavens and preserving some facsimile of order for the past millennium. Sure, she wasn't particularly good at the latter bit, but that's where he and his people made up for it.

Cynthia felt a headache coming on. The damn bomb was growing in strength, that cocky little guard wanna be was teleporting civilians to who-knows-where, Midnight was right that they needed to get the remining civilians out of her, and now there was somepony getting Celestia. For someone who prided herself on being in control of things, Cynthia was well annoyed and stressed. At Pway the chops had calmed down. "I am trying my best," she growled at the pony with a flaming sword. "Honestly, I would appreciate it if you didn't tell the princess. My pr-" she stopped mid-sentence and sighed. "Actually, scrap that. Get the princess, I clearly have miscalculated."

She faced Midnight and rubbed her eye. "Right. Breach this barrier. It appears to a pretty standard template to restrain a creature, or in this case creatures, inside a certain locations. Once you get the barrier down, get them out of here. Then, come with me, and help me arrest that stallion. He's broken multiple laws now, and I intend to make sure justice is served. And I'm still glad that no one is throwing anything."

Scythe brought his binoculars up again, looking at the chaos going on and ponies being teleported away. Suddenly something that he could only describe as a spirit came to him. "What's this...?" he thought and tilted his head at it. "An ally to save Sin Ester? Dunno... I haven't decided yet..." he said and grinned. "But I suppose it's about time to pick a side, ain't it..." he continued, looking at Canterlot again before turning his gaze at the spirit. "Buck it. Sure, I'll help." and with that Scythe turned his gaze towards Canterlot again, bringing the binoculars up.

For a moment, Tylus wished he had both his eyes back again so he could roll them at this mare. A plot to release Sin Ester? You don’t say… I’m sure she figured this from the beginning but there’s no reason you need to treat me like a foal. Although this certainly does make my plan of escape easier I can just get lost in the crowd now. Tylus began walking towards the crowd next to Midnight, He had already maneuvered the joint spike on his wings so that the cloth of the cloak he was wearing would now cover his wings so at least no other ponies might notice what he is.

Then all of a sudden, the obnoxiously loud pony from earlier showed up in front of them to spout his bit to the sergeant next. Upon immediately recognizing his voice, Tylus immediately flattened his ears under his hood even if he wasn’t using the loudspeaker voice, Tylus still automatically now associates this pony with ear pain. If it wasn’t for Tylus’s need to get out of the public eye and away from all these damned ponies, then Tylus would probably actually feel bad for this sergeant and all the shit she gets just for doing her job. Then the damned loud one mentioned being the best spell crafter here, which caused Tylus to snort and stamp his foot. Best spellcrafter my ass, I bet I know 10x as many incantations as you do….. I just can’t make them all appear from nowhere like some lazy asshole. I actually got to work for my magic…. And travel uphill… both ways… heh. Whatever, if he’s gone to go get the big gun, I better establish a new connection now while I still have the chance. Ugh, I hate letting things into my head…..

As Tylus made his way to the crowd of ponies, he began to build up a well of draconic energy inside of him in order to draw one of the spirits he sensed earlier over to him by making himself look like the equivalent to an ethereal lamppost to those on the ethereal plane. Oi! I wish to speak to the one commanding you currently. I believe I can be of assistance to them and will be willing to establish a connection with them on the condition that none of you try to delve any deeper into my mind than I will allow. If this condition is broken then I will disappear from you forever and may even help the guard catch all you. What I desire is information, and what I will give in return shall be information you don’t have.

Cynthia wanted HER to breach the barrier? A magical barrier that she, as a Thestral, has no idea what possible consequences could come with screwing with it. She wanted to get out, but it was too dangerous even as a guard. They needed a Unicorn to do this, she had no idea what magic did or what type of magic was at work here.
"Ma'am, no offense, but I have no idea what kind of magic is at work here. We'll need a unicorn, something that can control and measure magic. I cannot even start to comprehend this barrier. I think arresting Diamond is a good idea, AFTER we've let him deal with it. As much as I hate to admit this, it seems his Knights are actually prepared...too prepared..."

A plan started to formular in her head, these 'Silver Knights' arrived before the incident, and how seem to be the only ones that knew what do it..Perhaps it was too easy, and they know too much..Almost as if THEY set everything up.
"I...I think I got it. Diamond and his Knights seem to know what's happenening, too much so. Qhat if..what if they are organising everything in order to free Sin Ester?"

Diamond teleported back to where his book was. He glanced around to the Knights. "Your services are no longer needed from here on out. Return to base, blend with everyone else. Thank you for your services today." With that, the Silver Knights saluted Diamond and teleported away, leaving the unicorn by himself. He flipped through the pages, stopping on voice amplification. He took his stylus and wrote the rune on his throat, it amplifying his voice to that of four megaphones.

"Would everypony in the barrier who hasn't stepped on the teleportation rune please step into the teleportation rune now. It will take you to a nearby park that's well outside the range of the explosive rune. I'd like to disarm that massive explosive rune, and I would love it if I could disarm it without everyone's lives on the line. After the explosive rune is disarmed, you can go about your day as usual. If I cannot disarm it, I will attempt to keep it from exploding until we can get someone of an archmage level of magic, like Princess Celestia, here to dispell it. Thank you for your compliance and have a wonderful day." Diamond undid the rune on his throat and went to examining the rune written in the sky.

Cynthia let out a groan and nodded quietly. "Sorry, sorry Midnight. Whilst I agree that it is likely that the Silver Knights are involved, it is unlikely that the teleportation rune does lead somewhere dangerous. You should take your guards and get out of here. Take that rune, and arrest any knights you encounter in the park." She smiled as she glanced at her clipboard. "Best that you get your squadmates out of here with the civilians, seeing as they are pretty much all gone. They'll need someone to look after them on the other side. That's an order by the way." She said, gesturing to the rune.

Once Midnight and the guards had stepped through, she would adjust her mane. Wish I'd got Paladin to help out... he could shield the bomb... Cythia's eyes flashed. "I won't forget this... Diamond. I think you'll find yourself in more trouble than you think..." She murmured, before walking to the doors, before kicking them open, and slamming them closed behind her as she stepped inside.

Zen was in the middle of a wave towards the group to come towards him when suddenly a bunch of knights appeared all around, and before he knew it a new rune was formed on the ground. It didn't even take a second to recognize the signature rune as a teleportation rune and one at a fairly large scale given all the ponies working seamlessly together to form it. "Heh, well that beats my style," Zen said as he closed his portal and began flying towards the closest knight. "I think I want to talk with you later," he said before opening a couple portals around the knight. With one above and one below, the two openings closed together to trap the pony in the alternate space before shutting again, all of which happened in the span of roughly a couple seconds and a couple more bloody hoofed coughs.

"Well, now to deal with this, but first a standing obligation," Zen commented as he swung about his scythe. The first slash opened a couple of portals so that now Zen was looking at Sophie after getting her location from that clever little spirit that he still wasn't that sure about. Then the second slash cut open a second series of portals leading from Zen's current hovering spot to a nearby roof. "As the lady requested," he said with a elegant bow at Sophie. "And might I add, what an excellent spot to watch the fireworks from, hehehe," Zen concluded as he moved the portals about so instead of having to take the step between both sets of portals, just going through one pair would have the pony on the roof. After she'd gone through them, Zen would see to closing these portals as well.

Now, there was only him, the pony who'd orchestrated that mass teleport, and maybe a few others that had managed to avoid a rune that managed to occupy as much space as his own barrier rune. "Well, isn't this an interesting turn of events," Zen started as he hovered towards Diamond. "Though I still recommend taking a few jumps back, after all, you won't be able to see the show this close," Zen said with a chuckle. "But I suppose it's your choice, hehehe," he added when he noticed the pony charging up magic to supposedly do something to the rune before disappearing in a flash of his portals. For the moment completely disappearing completely from this dimension.

As Diamond began to prod the rune, it suddenly almost doubled in intensity. The already angry red glowing lines took on a vibrant white tone and began to crackle with intensity signaling the runes sudden jump towards activity and detonation. The activation time was likely shortened from maybe over an hour to maybe 10 minutes at the most, a fact noticeable for any with proper runic knowledge.
