Space travel is still a new element to the ponies of Equestria, the ships it has are basic and equipped with just the right materials and equipment to survive exploration of their own solar system and see the stars. With that in mind basic mining operations and scout missions are good, easy money for ponies with the skill and willingness to go on these voyages.

That's what you signed up for, that's what was intended.

A solar storm causing a malfunction on the part of the ship combined with a powerful push in the wrong direction? Didn't enter the equation.

Stranded out, far, far, far from home, the remaining survivors of the ship must band together and make their way back home. Unfortunately for them, there will be many complications; the ships free flying systems are fried and they will have to rely on the FTL jump system, forcing them to make leaps of distance then stop to recharge.

But hey, nothing else is out there... right?



RULES:

1) This is based on FTL. If you don't think you can die what game have you been playing?

2) The ship design you have will be posted at the bottom, each room is labelled with a symbol saying what it is for (IE, two missiles indicates the weapons room, a camera indicates the security room). Choose a role for yourself when you sign up, and yes there can be more than one person in each room. Additionally, crew members versed in combat may be useful in case of intruders.

3) Please give your stated specialty. ONE, stated specialty. That isn't to say your characters have to be useless at everything else but I don't want engineers showing as much combat expertise as say a marine.

4) Please do not screw with the layout of the ship. I have it and will know if you somehow skip a room.

5) The game will have plenty of time for exploring, so please don't try striking up a casual conversation during a battle.

6) Please ask the GM for how something will/might work before just doing it and assuming.

7) Have fun!

Diamond Mind will be joining. He will be without runes, but he now can use his imitate/creation at a much higher object durability. He will be in the engine room, acting as one of the engineers. As for combat, he'll be limited to firing razor sharp crystal shards, or firing somewhat powerful concussion beams that only really knock down enemies, and at best stun them.

I will be signing up Viridian Rain. As per her magitech focus in her "canon", she will be a shield specialist engineer posted in the shields room.

Star Sentinel will keep the crew safe! He'll be apart of the combat force, hanging around in the weapons room. Trained mostly in weapons, but not quite in tech.

Momus Filias, signing up for duty sirrah; jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none.
He will be living in the broom closet, trying to conceal his species from the crew keeping the doors up and running with duct tape, murdering fire, and sucking the life from nearby crewmembers providing additional "safety cocoons" assistance for that cutie patootie thestral security.
If I had to assign him a thing he's best at, besides that his ridiculous movement speed is pretty countered by having all those doors in the way (of course, opening all the doors between point A and point B before running to point B is an amazing plan probably dereliction of duty), his top skills lie in physical, hand-to-hand combat, of the face-suckingpunching variety.

I'd like to join with Jonathan Kings, operating either sensors or doors or working in the medical bay (if it's an option and not just nanobots). I imagine he'd act something like an engi: good with repairs, horrible at combat.

I shall sign up Wild Card as the pilot, specialising in piloting this vessel through space and stationed in the cockpit of the ship. He can take more of a beating than most, but he can't cope well in face to face combat, and his repair skills are fairly average to say the least.

I'd like put Archon in this. He'd be the weapons systems operator, and quite light on his feet. He would be rather fragile though, in all, and though he can fight he isn't particularly good at it.

I may as well sign up Torchlight. He'd be part of security, as well as the resident fire-starter. He's not very handy, so he's not good at making repairs, but his ability to create, and manipulate fire make him a deadly combatant at range, though at the cost of oxygen if life support is down. He's a decent fighter up close, certainly not one of the best. He'd spend most of his time in the security room, if he's not flirting with the mares on the ship.
