Name: Sonata Nights

Race: Thestral
Age: 26
Alignment: Neutral Good

Mane: Whitish silver with a few purple streaks
Coat: Bluish grey
Cutie mark: A constellation in the shape of a violin (basically a bunch of small white dots connected by faint white lines that form a violin)
Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Usually wearing a rather plain green cloak, held down by a few straps that also hold her gear. She keeps the hood up so sun doesn't blind her.
Distinguishing Features: Her golden eyes constantly refract into a myriad of other colors like reds, blues, and greens depending on the angle they're seen at and the light in the room. There's a short almost vertically cut scar going over each eye, but the cuts aren't deep enough when made to cause a loss of eye sight.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): As her name hints, Sonata is a musician of some sizable ability. She's also rather good at using a bow and arrow as well as her crossbows.
Weaknesses: Sonata is forgetful and a little scatter brained aside from when she's playing or shooting. She's also highly phobic of bladed weapons after the incident where she got her scars. Even knives are a source of worry for her, though she can at least tolerate their existence so long as they're in her grasp or somepony she extensively trusts.
Occupation: Currently, she plays wherever she can for just about any amount. She's also not above a bit of thievery to get what she needs.
Gear: First and foremost is her violin, her cherished possession that she will try and save over everything else. Two pistol crossbows with spring loaded fold out limbs, a fairly powerful bow and plenty of arrows/bolts for their respective weapons.

History: Sonata grew up in the country side near the small town of Brambles. At an early age, she learned how to shoot a bow and took a liking to the craft. Her ability soon had her attending some competitions where she usually placed and occasionally won. Despite all the hard work however, a cutie mark never appeared, that is until one competition where her attention was captivated by some musicians playing nearby.

After the competition, Sonata's relentless questions about the performers and their instruments finally broke her fathers resolve and he acquired an old violin for the young mare. Sonata took to playing the instrument relentlessly, practicing constantly, and driving her parents insane with the squeaky scratchy noise that she called her first performances. Her first actual performance, for others, however would yield better results as it was actually decent and by the end of it she had a new mark along her flank.

Sonata continued to pursue her new passion of playing not only the violin but several string instruments, and gradually rising in fame and talent, though she never achieved the level of prestige that others, like Octavia who Sonata holds as a personal hero, have. Playing concerts, private gigs, and even common parties, Sonata just enjoyed being able to play. That however changed when the Magi-tech incident occurred (see Zen's history) and the concerts stopped.

In the aftermath of the disaster, Sonata managed to hide and survive in one of the crumbling concert halls for quite some time, but when the structure actually came crashing down, she escaped it only to be caught by one of the gangs that had formed. While in their custody, Sonata was treated horribly, and even acquired the scars over her eyes when she refused to comply, the memory of which still haunts her.

Eventually though, the gang picked a fight they couldn't win and as they were slaughtered by a red coated airship pirate and his crew, Sonata thought her life's performance was finally at it's end. It was surprising to say the least when instead of death, the pirate brought the mare aboard his ship and saw to it she was taken care of, even going so far as to fly to the collapsed concert hall to recover her prized violin she'd hid away for safe keeping.

Even though it was a farcry from her usual audiances, being able to play for any audiance brought new life to the mare, and from that point on Sonata decided she was going to stay on with the pirate. Wanting to do more than just play for them, Sonata picked back up a bow and even a couple of small crossbows since they were cheaper than rune guns, and assisted the crew in their antics. When Zen left the city though, Sonata followed him before going her own way out into the new world.

Personality: Sonata's a bit rowdy and a little bitter sweet, but she usually means well. She doens't handle critique well though, of her musical or archery talent.

Name: Amaryss bar Sisyphis
Race: Changeling, Royal
Age: 71 (appears to be mid-30s)
Mane: Shoulder-length violet hair streaked with aquamarine
Coat: Chitinous
Cutie Mark: Three flowers: a violet tulip on the left, a daffodil on the right, and a heart-shaped red blossom in the middle.
Distinguishing Features: As a royal changeling, she has two pairs of dragonfly-like wings as opposed to the single pair of fly wings most changelings have. Under the secondary eyelid, her irises are amethyst with visible streaks of green.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): The Maternis Queen of the seven-queen council that governs the changeling race, Amaryss can tap into the subtle love energy of her entire race to "supercharge" her magic in most circumstances although with her advanced age has come a considerable skill with and knowledge of magic that renders such crude displays (in her mind) hideously gauche. Her special talent centers around plant life of all kinds with an unusual gift with flowers, and plants will typically be much more amenable to her will.
Weaknesses: For being the most powerful changeling mare alive (at least in terms of political powerful, given her royal position), Amaryss tends to be quiet and introverted, which has led to her sister Malyss being the de-facto Maternis Queen. She also has practically no ability with the greatest and most terrible weapon of the changeling race, the induction curse, and this leads to her being perceived as extremely weak and perception is often reality in the circumstances Amaryss moves in.
Occupation: Maternis Queen of the Changeling Hive Septarchy.
Gear: Amaryss wears the heart-shaped fire gem, the Thorn Crown, and the long silk robe that denotes her position and authority in the septarchy although she only wears the gem except on special occasions. On the battlefield, she wears a suit of articulated plate-mail that was a gift from the royal armorers of the Equestrian diarchy, and carries six scimitars that rest in sheaths on her sides. Although excellent examples of their craft, they're not magical.
History:
AUTHOR'S NOTE: The changeling exile is meant to take place just weeks prior to Luna being banished.
Amaryss was the first-born daughter of Queen Sisyphis du Fjord bar Orthopa and Crown Prince Magisteris and it was fairly clear from the first that much was expected of her. Exhaustive tutoring on all manner of subjects, frequent trips abroad to make her cosmopolitan, and admission into the very prestigious Luna Royal Academy of Magic gave her all the intellectual foundation to take the crown and throne of Maternis Queen when her mother eventually passed away. There was one small problem: Amaryss was almost cripplingly shy and suffered from pathological social anxiety. The idea of being a queen and constantly in public terrified her and led to frequent bouts of insomnia and the accompanying illnesses that came from improper sleep. It's a testament to her sheer natural ability and keen intellect that she remained constantly at the top of her class while being so sleep-deprived she'd frequently fade in and out of consciousness in the middle of conversation, but it was abundantly clear that she'd be a horrible queen. A solution was needed, and a solution was devised: Amaryss would be the power behind her own throne and her sister Malyss would be the face of the Maternis Queen.

Blinded by a need for a proper Maternis Queen (on the part of her parents) and by an innocent trust and familial love (on the part of Amaryss), no one in her life was able to see that quite the opposite of her tolerant parents and highly cultured and accepting sister, Malyss was a seething racist who loathed the other three races of ponykind and saw them as little more than herd animals for the genetically superior changeings to feed on. With Sisyphis on the throne, there was no way for Malyss to express these toxic ideas--but then she was made de facto heir to the throne. The trend towards changelings ceasing to shrug off the natural pony nervousness at their unusually insectoid appearance and starting to play tit-for-tat dates to approximately the time of Malyss taking her place at the head of the council of the seven queens. Kind, brimming with goodwill, incredibly intelligent, and preferring to avoid the limelight, Amaryss remained largely unaware of the true nature of the younger sister she viewed through the rose-colored lenses of fond nostalgia. It wouldn't be until the tension became too great for even Amaryss to be oblivious to that she finally left her safe places and took a real look at what the world was like. This coincided with the wedding of Malyss to a Crown Prince in total accord with her, and as Amaryss drifted among the guests and heard and saw the poison flowing from one haughty changeling noble to the next, the scales dropped from her eyes and she saw precisely what had come of the kingdom that was her birthright.

In all of her scheming and racist provocations, Malyss had entirely forgotten that she was merely a placeholder on a throne not her own--and that Amaryss sat in the shadows because she was shy, not because she lacked the will and power to lead her people. Amaryss quite literally blowing her through a solid marble wall in a fit of horror-fueled anger brought all this home in an extremely painful way. Amaryss put her younger sister in chains and called an immediate gathering of the other six queens to try and find some way to reverse the building cycle before the problem forced the Royal Sisters, Celestia and Luna, to take drastic measures. Amaryss was far, far too late: nearly half of the queens practically laughed in her face and the increasingly violent and deadly interchange between changelings and the other race had spun outside the ability of even the extraordinarily gifted Amayrss to resolve. Within a week of her awakening to her sister's malicious nature, Celestia announced that she'd determined the only way to save lives: the changelings would be exiled to the wastes in the east. Amaryss recognized that the exile was the next best thing to a death sentence and so went to Celestia to plead for her people but in the imperious Princess of the Sun, she felt that she saw a mirror of her racist sister. It was possibly one of the tensest moments in Equestrian history for while Amaryss could not overpower Celestia in a fair fight, the Sun Princess had little understanding of just how powerful a Maternis Queen of the changelings was and it's considered possible that Amaryss could have struck Celestia down to save her people if she had chosen. Amaryss, however, was not the monster the other races imagined and she humbly (and with immense sadness) accepted that the chickens had come home to roost and that the changelings would pay for her sister's evil.

The exile split the changeling race into the three queens that remained loyal to Amaryss and trusted her to do the right thing, and the three that thought Malyss was right and that they should take out their humiliation on the other pony races to prove a point. Amaryss took the majority of the changeling peoples east while the rebels disappeared into the Everfree and were counted as dead to the now quadrarchy. In the east, which had never been truly explored, Amaryss discovered that her people were not the only exiles and that both the gorgon Maredusa and the entire race of the giant birds called rocs were happy to band together for mutual survival in what were believed to be utterly desolate wastes. A quick aerial survey, however, proved that the wastes were nothing of the sort: centered around an immense mountain far to the east was enough water and fertile soil to permit the exiles to survive until Celestia rescinded their sentence.

For the thread "The War of Legends"
History, however, would take a different path.

It took very little time for the news of the budding war between Luna and Celestia to reach the changelings and with it came a call for any great warrior to enter a proxy contest of sorts to decide who would rule Equestria. The pay would be a single wish from the winner of the contest to be chosen by each participant. Already very fond of Luna and seeing her victory as the only possible way for her people to return to their true home under the auspices of the Dual Thrones, Amaryss journeyed west and taking a disguise, threw her lot in with Luna's forces. Her wish is a simple one: "Let us come home."
Personality: Amaryss is very shy and suffers from social anxiety, although neither trait is crippling any longer. Her basic disposition is slightly affectionate and selflessly kind, and she tends strongly towards the philosophy "speak softly and carry a big stick."
Virtue: In her selfless concern for her people, for all ponies, and her willingness to unhesitatingly give whatever it takes to help and elevate them, Amaryss embodies the virtue of generosity.
Current Home: The quarters of the Lunar Forces.

Name:Eqbotanium
Race:Eqbotanium is a golem created out of a blend of engineering and spellcasting. Since he was created by some college ponies, he's prone to random glitches and such. He has the form of an earth pony, but definitely looks metallic.
Age:Between one and two years since creation. He looks like a fully grown stallion.
Alignment:Good. He has a very poor concept of morality, having no idea of moral grey zones or anything of the sort. This makes him act somewhat like a paladin, with a 'Right is Right' mentality. Really, he just doesn't like seeing ponies hurting each other.
Mane:Eqbotanium has a copper colored mane that terminates raggedly a couple inches long.
Coat:He has a grey coat that tends to be more often dirty than not due to his dislike of water.
Cutie mark.: He has a gear symbol engraved on his flank where a pony would have a cutie mark. Under the gear, the words "In Honor of Bright Sparks" are also engraved.
Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add:His eyes are bright yellow, and, if one looked closely, they could see the mechanisms inside of his eyes.
Distinguishing Features:He is constantly surrounded by a magic aura, much like the one that surrounds an object being levitated by a unicorn. Unicorns might find they have to exert a bit more effort to cast a spell around him, as he sustains the various enchantments and such on him by subtly draining magic out of the air.
Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc):He can perform complex feats of mathematics and perform computing tasks in his head. As well, he has electromagnets in his hooves so that he can hold tools and other metal objects in his hooves.
Weaknesses:He tends to have random mechanical, mental, and magical faults. As well, he has issues with taking things very literally and getting confused with vague directions, the bad side of having a computer-like mind. As well, magical spells and potions have a negative effect on him related to their intended effect.
Occupation:He is currently unemployed, and is seeking a job as a craftspony. However, he'd take any job offered to him.
Gear:He has a set of tools given to him by his creators, which he cherishes. He also has saddlebags to store his money and other things he may come across. He carries no weapons or armor, as he considers them unnecessary.
History:He was created by a team of engineers as a capstone project. He was originally intended to be a simple robot, but it changed as one of the team unicorns had an unfortunate accident. The complex magical enchantments on Eq snapped suddenly during a late-night session, frying the poor unicorn's brain. It was soon found that Eq had gained some of the dead unicorn's thought processes. In essence, the unicorn had had his mind burned in a magical accident, and enough of that went into Eq to stick and be used as a template. After this change, he was scheduled to spend a year learning concepts normal ponies use in daily life. However, this was cut short by three months as the engineers ran out of bits to fund this. The last hundred bits they had in funding were dropped into Eq's hooves with a pat on the back and a "Good Luck."
He eventually found his way to Ponyville on a combination of being a vagrant and taking odd jobs to pay for transit, wanting to stay in a smaller town because the big city was too chaotic for him. He also was attracted to Ponyville on the promise of employment, which he has yet to find. He carries pretty much all of his possessions in his saddlebags, which was a quite meager list of his tools and his money.
Personality:He is very literal, and has a childlike sense of morals. He tends to be pretty serious, not really understanding humor either.
Current Home:He has no permanent place of residence.
Misc:Certain substances he consumes tends to affect him more and differently than it would a pony. For example, alcohol hits him practically instantly, and it makes him really hyper, but unable to think straight.

Race: female Worgen (Sort of like werewolf, except can act like a normal being)
Age: 19
Coat: Dark-grey, her belly is slightly lighter

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Is rather strong for her size, can block almost any attack.
Weaknesses: long runs (her heavy armor is preventing her from having a lot of stamina)
Occupation: Traveler
Gear: gilded thick steel plate armor (shown in picture above), large, rather thick shield (about 3/4 her size), a longsword.
History: Born in Las Pegasus, she had a pretty decent childhood as a unicorn, her parents being caring and rich. That was, until she was bitten by a wolf while hanging around in a forest. After the bite (Which her parents thought of as a normal bite) she started having high fevers and even lost consciousness a few times, and after she lost it for the last time, she woke up locked in a cage. Her parents were scared of her new form, and partially acted like she wasn't even their child anymore, even after Tabithi tried to convince them that she is still herself in mind. Her parents soon abandoned her in the forest, where she was forced to start living by herself. After some time of getting used to her hands and not able to use magic due to lack of her horn, she slowly started to make contact with citizens of Ponyville, eventually gaining their trust and asking a local blacksmith to make her some armor and gear. After that, she started traveling, looking to help Equestrians any way she can to gain their full trust.
Personality: Cheerful, but her humor is rather dry.

Distinguishing Features: Her eye colour shifts from yellow, to blue, to red, depending on whether Euforia, Ice, or Blood is the commanding personality, along with her cutie mark.

Specialty: Euforia is an excellent inventor, having a talent for putting together impressively advanced contraptions and other types of machinery to solve problems in creative ways. Blood's specialty lies in agility and combat; her skill with all kinds of weapons, but predominantly her swords, is very advanced. Ice has no special talent per se: she retains some of Euforia's talent with machinery and Blood's swordsmanship, but her main ability lies in her skill with logic, analysis, and just thinking in general.

Weaknesses: Euforia can sometimes be very oblivious to things in general, since she is often caught up in a world of her own, causing her to fail to notice things that might be of critical importance. Ice does not share this fault, but she has one of her own; primarily, that she doesn't have any distinct talent aside from mental capability. Blood's weakness is that essentially her only strength is her combat prowess, since she doesn't think very much or deeply, and often fails to consider important details when making a decision. She is driven by her emotions.

All in all, physically speaking Euforia is not bulky, and relies mainly on her ability to evade rather than take strikes. She will not last long against somepony who can counter her speed.

Occupation: Royal Inventor

Gear: Due to Euforia's abilities as an inventor, she possesses a unique array of gear. She wears a pair of metal shoes on her two forehooves, which can extend blades to create dual hoof-mounted swords like claws, except much longer and with only one blade per shoe. She normally wears a white flowing cloak patterned with roses and a red band around the middle, but with the proper application of force on the right mechanisms it can cause the cloak to retract inwards, shortening, tighten around the band, split down the middle, and snap up stiffened leather shoulder pads. This accommodates Blood's fighting style of manoeuvrability and agility on two hooves instead of four.

She also has a miniature crossbow hidden in her cloak, loaded with three shots. The arrows are small and unlikely to cause any serious damage, but they function mainly as a means to distract an enemy.

History: Euforia was born in a village up in the Frozen North, before the reappearance of the Crystal Empire. However, unlike most in the Iceblood family line before her, she didn't seem to like nor be resistant to the snow; this eventually led to her family moving to the warmer climates in Ponyville.

Having been removed from all her childhood friends, Euforia found herself in an awkward position in the Ponyville Elementary School. She immediately became a favourite victim for bullying, causing her to retreat further into herself and forsake an originally bubbly personality she had while in the Frozen North.

Without anypony willing to talk to her and being too scared to tell her parents about the bullying, she turned to the one pony she felt she could confide in; herself. She spent large amounts of time talking to herself about her troubles and asking for advice, essentially acting as if she was two ponies at once. After a while she almost came to believe it.

Over time, her confidante evolved into two minds. One was logical and analytical, always trying to solve her problems with reason. The other was like a big sister to her, determined to protect her and harm anybody who tried to hurt her.

One day, after a particularly nasty session of bullying, she ran away from the school crying and, without looking where she was going, into the nearby Everfree Forest, where she promptly proceeded to stumble and fall face-first into a patch of poison joke.

She returned home safely - she hadn't run that far in - but the effects were felt just the day after, when she woke up with two new but familiar voices in her head. The poison joke had transformed all three personalities of Euforia; Euforia herself actually returned to her original outgoing self, unhindered by the things that used to get her down; the personality of logic, adopting the first half of Euforia's last name and becoming Ice, retained her natural analytical and logic skills but became much colder in her reasoning, losing many of her scruples and hesitations. The personality of protection, Blood, became less about protecting and more about hurting.

The first few days with Ice and Blood were awkward. The personalities shifted control periodically, as did their eye colour, and it took a few days for all three to understand the mechanics they operated by. After that, however, they became quite the team. Although all three disapproved of each other to an extent, they learnt to put up with it and work as one, and the results were impressive. Blood kept the bullies at bay, Ice lay out the plans to do so, and Euforia's "new" attitude attracted many new friends to her side.

Suddenly, it was as if all her problems were gone. Euforia never seemed to get into any more fights, except the occasional mental argument with Ice and/or Blood, which usually cooled down quickly. She got her cutie mark soon after at Ice's behest, as the latter had been watching and observing trends and suggested an experiment of working with Pinkie Pie, the resident party pony and baker, for a while. Euforia and Pinkie's personalities matched up quite nicely, and although Euforia never really got the hang of baking she did manage to find her talent in designing and engineering after looking over and improving upon Pinkie's myriad contraptions. Ice and Blood got their own cutie marks in their time, the former having achieved hers after a long while of using her mental skills to help Euforia, and the latter after one final showdown with a bully that devolved into (thankfully unarmed) fighting.

And so Euforia grew up this way. Ice and Blood began to develop personality-wise and, with some convincing from Euforia, adopted their own names for themselves; Diana Icemind and Kataria Bloodedge. However, they still often used their original names, just mostly among themselves.

Upon completing her education, Euforia moved to Canterlot and was hired as a minor designer and engineer by the Palace. She became more highly sought after, however, after demonstrating her skill with her chosen field and crafting many unique objects. Whether it be doors that swung open just by stepping on a pressure plate or a complex pulley system that acted as an elevator in multi-storey buildings when coupled with regulated use of a come-to-life spell, Euforia's only limit was her imagination, and soon she was being employed to come up with all manner of innovative inventions. Ponies soon learned to stop asking her to build something specific and simply began presenting her with a problem to be solved.

One of those problems to be solved was a changeling invasion on the day of a particularly prestigious wedding. Euforia survived, but this was a prompt to her, backed by a lot of extra prompting from Blood, to start making something to protect herself. She came up with a new set of hoof-mounted swords and cloak-armour, as well as a miniature crossbow.

Now, Euforia is very happy with her life, knowing that wherever she goes she will have two friends by her side. She considers the day of the poison joke incident the best day she could have wished for, and has always denied any offers for a cure.

Personality: Ever since the poison joke incident, which she now refers to as the Evolution, Euforia has been very outgoing and friendly, a personality that became even more so after her apprenticeship under Pinkie Pie. Her mind, however, is often on her creations rather than her surroundings, so she may sometimes appear to have her head in the clouds unless she is snapped out of it.

Ice is quite different. She is the cold, calculating type, pursuing problems with relentless logic, setting aside hesitations and other inhibitions in her quest towards whatever goal she has set herself on. She is, however, arguably the most normal of the three, behaving in a manner that does not particularly stand out. It is only during moments of importance that her real self emerges.

Blood is driven by her emotions, and is consequently quite emotional. Rash and impulsive, she doesn't tend to think things through before doing them, which is a constant headache for Ice to deal with. She has a certain thirst for violence that the other two do not share, so they keep a punching bag, which has seen a lot of use, in their room. She is often eager to try out new things, especially Euforia's new inventions.

All in all, one common trait that all three share is that they care for one another, just in their own different ways. Ice and Blood in particular care especially much for Euforia.

Current Home: Canterlot

Misc: Euforia has a sort of split-personality disorder, in which one personality out of the three that inhabit her body - Euforia herself, "Ice" Diana Icemind, and "Blood" Kataria Bloodedge - is in control at any one time, while the other two can perceive everything that is going on but cannot control the body. These personalities can switch with the consent of the active commanding personality and the soon-to-be active commanding personality.

History:He was born to a family of lumberjacks, but never seemed to be very good at cutting wood. Most of his childhood  was spent poor and somewhat hungry, although being among earth ponies generally meant he has an amount of food. He found his cutie mark later in life when his house was attacked by unicorns, using his lumber axe to defend his home quite deftly. He then joined up with the Earth pony army to try and get revenge against the unicorns that were, at the time, ruling over him. He rose through the ranks, quickly becoming a low-class officer among the earth ponies. He's fought in a few important battles to liberate unicorn-controlled towns, gathering him a moderate amount of fame.
Personality:He's quick to anger, and has a pretty dry sense of humor. He tends to fight before asking questions.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He has a keen eye and can spot the smallest of details. Due to his experience and knowledge of gears and cogs and screws and other things, he knows how to make a few things that will help him in a sticky situation.

Weaknesses: Some of the things he makes can and will backfire on him and he could get severely damaged. He's not as fast as most pegasi. He nearly loses his anger when there is a griffin anywhere near him and will most likely try to hurt them.

Occupation: Clock Technician

Gear: A ballistic knife, A small blowtorch, some scrap metal and a few of the things he makes that is magic proof so unicorns can't just steal them or defend against them. Also a book that shows Dark how to make a few things.

History: He was born an only foal and was raised by only his father, who was a unicorn and the captain of the Sterling Light, an airship Celestia asked be made to transport troops or representatives to the Griffon Kingdom and beyond. Dark would always come along with his father when he needed to sail to skies to places beyond Equestria. He had noticed that most clocks on the ship were broken so he thought he would give it a shot and try to fix them. He found out he was actually good at fixing clocks and later got his cutie mark. The weather had always concerned him he was on the ship, fearing a stray lightning bolt might hit the ship and send it crashing down to the ground/sea below.

When he got older his dad let him order the crew of the Sterling Light a bit. Then one day when Dark was 18, the Sterling Light was told to send some representatives to the Griffin Kingdom to strengthen the bond between the griffins and ponies or something like that. Dark went along of course, he wouldn't have given up seeing the Griffin homeland for the world. When the Sterling Light got there, there was a miscommunication and the Griffins fired at the Sterling Light making it crash down to the ground killing everyone but Dark Wing, who was hovering on the deck of the ship when the Griffins fired. Dark looked around the wreck of the ship to try and find his dad only to find him dead.

Since that day, he had a grudge against all griffins even if they apologized and Celestia accepted and since then he worked and lived alone trying to forget the past, but he never could. He had bought his own little shop in Ponyville with whatever money his dad had left him, and started up a little shop with his knowledge of clocks.

As the years passed, Dark had grown accustom to the many parts of a clock and thought maybe it was time to learn something new. He went to the local library and looked into some books about making things out of scrap metal and other random stuff. He took the book back to his store and got a few things to make something from the book.

The thing he had made was a bottle cap mine and he wanted to try it out, but he first thought about his own safety and decided to create a quick release mechanism to carefully set off the mine with a book. He hide behind a table and released the book onto the mine, setting it off and exploding the table it sat on. Dark looked at the broken wood that was once a table and was very surprised at the damage the mine had done.

The police soon came to Dark's shop/home and asked what the explosion was. He answered with a worried tone saying it was a mine and that caught the police's attention. After some explaining and nearly being set to an asylum for setting off a mine in the middle of a shop, Dark fixed his table up and made sure never to set off a mine in his shop ever again.

Dark almost immediately got back to work making things and fixing ponies’ clocks. He did have a few of the things he made explode in his face, but he could always shake it off as a mistake and learn not to do them again. There were times where he was badly injured by the things he makes, but he didn’t care for how many bits he wasted paying for the hospital bills or even paying for his home/store to be rebuild.

Personality: He is a reckless, self absorbed pony who usually drags other ponies into his mess, but is kind and will help out others if he dragged them in to the danger unintentionally.

Current Home: Ponyville

Misc: He hates griffins. The useful devices he makes are basically like net traps and mines that will do severe damage to a pony, but not quite kill them. Things that would get a pony off his tail if he's being chased or surprise a pony.

Specialty: He is naturally strong and can sustain a lot of injury before giving in. In addition, he is a skilled orator and very charismatic.

Weaknesses: He is sometimes brash and overconfident, overestimating his abilities and that of those under him. In addition, he pays for his natural strength with a lack of agility and manoeuvrability, making him less able to avoid attacks and more reliant on his resilience to take blows.

Occupation: Cloudsdale Weather Control Team Leader

Gear: A lightning-proof suit, for use by most members of Weather Control to protect against the hazards that clouds present. He also has a suit of bluish-white armour in the style of the Royal Guard, and a large greatsword.

History: Cyclone was born into a life of abuse. His parents were hard alcoholics and were prone to fits of anger, making Cyclone the subject of regular beatings. Over time, his body adapted to deal with the blows, but his heart never did; he always ended up crying after each session, out of a sense of loneliness and lovelessness.

One day, his parents finally went too far. One of the beatings involved an edge sharp enough to cut a deep gash across Cyclone's face, and having finally had enough, he gave in to his anger and shouted his parents down, storming out of the house and into the dead of night.

He didn't know where he was going, but he eventually found himself outside a door marked Cloudsdale Orphanage. Without thinking, he reached up and knocked. That one event changed his life, because an old mare, the caretaker, answered the door and brought him in without question. He spent the next while pouring out his sorrows and frustrations as his wound was cleaned, and by the end of it he found the caretaker in tears.

From that day onward, he stayed in the orphanage, refusing to return to his home. He was raised like a normal child for once. He took a liking to reading and organising small events for the rest of the orphanage, making him feel, for the first time in his life, like he was useful for something. It was a feeling he enjoyed. He became more and more confident over time, even overconfident on occasion, but believing in himself gave him the ability to do things he once never knew he could. Like face up to his past.

After a few years, his parents finally found him at the orphanage and demanded he return. Cyclone refused, and with that his parents appealed to the judicial courts of Cloudsdale to reaffirm their right to their son. When the court convened, Cyclone, forgoing the need for a lawyer to speak on his behalf, instead spoke personally to the court about everything he felt and what he'd been through. When his speech ended, the judge and jury unanimously declared his freedom.

Cyclone emerged from the court as a new pony. He stayed in the orphanage for a few more years until he was of age, then went out into the world and searched for work. He found a place in the Cloudsdale Weather Control, where his charisma and silver tongue landed him a job as both a team leader and an official spokespony for the organisation. The weather team was outfitted with actual military gear a few years later in the aftermath of the changeling invasion of Canterlot, when it was determined that all cities needed a force to defend themselves against such an attack. Cyclone didn't particularly relish such a responsibility, but he took it in his stride as it came along.

Personality: Cyclone is the charismatic, confident sort, being suited to leading and commanding rather than being led. However, he can be overly sure of himself at times, especially if he's had a string of successes recently. He doesn't have a very good handle on his emotions, although he tries, and will often express how he feels quite openly.

History: Mantle was born in Fillydelphia, to a father who was a construction worker. Naturally, when he grew up, Mantle followed in his hoofsteps. He had a penchant for planning and, in his youth, he was very ambitious, aiming to design and eventually build the highest, grandest buildings his mind could conceive. He moved all over Equestria and offered his services, and that of a building crew under him, to anypony who was willing to pay. He always strived to build something better, taller, greater than before.

That all ended one day, however, when an oversight that he made at the scene of a construction site in Ponyville - owing to his ambition and lofty goals in building it - caused a catastrophic collapse of the entire structure, almost killing everypony there. Had it not been for the appearance of a strange masked and caped mare, the outcome would have been too horrible to contemplate.

From that day forth, Mantle was extremely cautious and paranoid, a one-eighty-degree turn from his original self. He never dared to do anything dangerous, or take risks. Everything he did, he virtually safety-proofed before even trying. Over time, he began to realise that such behaviour was stifling himself, and he grew slightly out of it as the shock of the original event wore off. However, he retained his extreme caution and refrained from taking any important decisions without first thinking it over thoroughly. This led to him developing a very far-sighted but ultimately indecisive nature. Even though he still continued as a construction planner, he preferred to keep his ambitions small and stick to what he was familiar with.

Personality: Mantle is cautious, being very unwilling to take risks if he can avoid it. His caution borders on paranoia, as he does all sorts of things to guard against the unlikeliest of bad fortune. He tends to overthink scenarios and is the type to consider rather than actually act.

Name: Day "Dream" Dreamer
Race: Unicorn
Age: 18 or so
Mane: Mane: His Mane and Tail are Mildly Dark Blue and are often in a state of perpetual 'Bed head', Though he wears a purple Beret to keep his unruly Bedmane in check.

Coat: A Bit long furred and Moderate blue. He has a very light blue circular patch centered around his nose and muzzle that kindof looks like the moon from the front.

Cutie mark.: There's a tendency to interpret his Mark as both a pillow and a fluffy cloud depending on who's looking at it, perhaps it's both together.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add:
Distinguishing Features: He wears a hat... A Purple Beret that 'he' thinks goes well with his color.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He's pretty good with magic and enchanting, due to his imaginative nature he has a strong fascination with all things magic and exploring what it can do... He also likes to 'try' making his own spells, but he has yet to succeed at one, though likewise he has not 'yet' had a severe backfire happen.

He's quite the story-teller thanks to his wild imagination and exceedingly active dreams, Sometimes a problem solver, but now and then his imaginative solutions backfire.

He has Dreams, from wild dreams of places both horrific and amazing, to Precognative dreams that lead to daily, often mundane, but usually helpful predictions. The dreams tend to become Trigger memories that spring forth when he encounters somepony who's relevant to the dream in question.


Weaknesses: Well, there are the occasional back-fires of an attempted spell making.

He can't generally shut up when a dream springs to mind, typically his mouth runs on it's own to explain whatever it was to whoever it relevant to the dream... of course, he also has a habit of being long winded whenever he explains normal things too.

He can't really control what he see's in his dreams, they act more like being along for the ride and watching something, and he can't remember them well, he remembers that he 'had' some, but not what it was until something triggers the memory. He still has some that are hazey memories of 'having a dream' from even years ago.

Sometimes if a dream has particularly 'strong', instead of describing it when it springs to mind, he'll end up acting instead.

Occupation: Well, he fancies himself Ponyville's Resident Story-teller and Dreamseer, though not an 'official' job, he does occasionally wow somepony into giving him a tip for being helpful or especially enetertaining. He occasionally takes up the chance of 'foal sitting' and using some of his more fanciful stories to keep them entertained and out of trouble.


Gear: He doesn't own any fancy artifacts or anything, Though he does tend to keep a stack of scrolls handy for jotting down ideas and inspiration to help with his spell play to avoid forgetting them. He may occasionally carry around something he's tried enchanting to test it out, but more often than not he leaves them at home.

He is 'working' on a spacial enchantment for a bag, to no success yet, but if he gets it to work that might qualify.


History: For the most part Dreamer is just a normal pony born in ponyville, just, a 'normal pony' who happened to have dreams that predict things for ponies. He's known to explore a lot, and thanks his preference for wandering about at night he tends to be pretty good at sneaking around. For the most part though, nobody really knows what the hell he does at night, since most other ponies are fast asleep when he gets to wandering, but he has shown a habit of staying awake sometimes for 2 or 3 days so he can still be around during the day to help ponies. It is not an advertised fact, but he also 'moon-lights' as a Friend of princess luna... honestly, his specialty involves unique dreaming, It'd pretty far-fetch'd that she would 'not' notice him.

Personality: Dreamer is typically quite friendly and open, not shy about opening his mouth either as he tends to spout random things to other ponies when his memory pops up such as reminding them suddenly where they'll find that missing book or the bits they dropped.

He 'is' a bit odd in that he prefers to be awake at night for various reasons all his own, and can occasionally be seen if any pony actually happens to be up at the right time of night... yet he manages to still be present during the day while finding time to nap here and there or maybe even out-right sleep walking sometimes.


Virtue: *claps hooves together and pulls away a rainbow* Imagination!... Oh, and Throw in a little Kindness [Couldn't resist XD]


Current Home: He lives alone in a small house on the edge of ponyville, with a basement full of stuff. Though he's there rarely enough it may be more accurate to say that his 'home' is anywhere he can plop his head to sleep for a bit.

Misc: He's an acceptable cook, likes to sing or hum to himself, and tends to have a perpetually sleepy look except at night.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc):he is able to make illusions from the stone he has around his neck;charged by the moons presence as he sleeps. The stones power allows him to create illusions layered on inanimate/living things, making them change form or become invisible. He can also make illusions of things in mid-air, but he has not quite mastered it yet and is see-through; He can make a tune with his vocals that can put people to sleep (passed down by his mom cotton, sounds like soothing sheep bahs). good at soothing down ones anger, and is a lucid dreaming expert.    

Weaknesses:not good at getting put in the middle of things; parts may seep out of his illusions; can not keep up a long conversation.

History:Cimche was a shy kid, feeling out of place because of his race. Thought he was not desecrated by who he was, he just felt like not being the odd one in a crowd.

He lives with his mom who goes by the name of cotton, she's a kind women (mare?). She would help out anyone in need, let it be hard work, or a simple task in which she would be rewarded. She became a little popular in the town of Ponyville for her deeds, more people asking her for help when they need it. It payed well to help the townsfolk, though she also had a small job to for extra support.

At the age of 7 he was an imaginative little foil. His mind was his playground, and the world a source of knowleage to create. He would sometimes look across the field, and in that field he would imagine himself taking down fierce dragons with sword in hand, or riding them in the days sky.

As he grew, he became interested in dreams, dreams of sleep to be specific. He would spend night and day studying the knowleage of dreams and dream meanings. And with study and practice mastered lucid dreaming. He had fun with the control he had in his dreams. He would fly, swim and run throught his dreamscape whenever he wanted.

On the 11 year of his birthday he was given a simple birthday party. Streamers wrapped around the tree they usually sleep next to on top of a hill, and a dozen cupcakes, all but one with  a candle in it. The sun was setting , making the grass a golden brown as just the two of them celebrated. The present unwraping began, and both him and his mom were confused to what was inside. A rock shining like the moons luminous hues was in the box without cottons knowing.

Cimche pulled a book out from the box with a letter attached reading "Happy Birthday" on  it.The book had an eye symbol on it, a blue glow to it making it kinda ominous. thought inside it was knowleage and instructions of the stone and how to sommon the power within. Time passed as he had studyed day and night, power showing itself within the stone.

Personality: cheerful, determined, thoughtful

Stupendous strength: she could brake cast iron manacles rather easily and at a stretch could punch a 26 tonne artic-lorry to a stop from 130kph.
Very fast: she can reach 95-100kph on foot and faster if pushed effort
Super heat: she can heat up her most of her body not including her head or torso up to 1600*c
Fast flyer: her wings have been equipped with servos to help her move at extreme speeds while flying.

blood lust:(rarely encountered and when it is she has no strategy she becomes just a force of destruction that can be countered but hits so much harder) 3x strength 3x speed, her eyes go red.

Gear: the variety of weapons her sister makes her a set of custom built “David” armour, a bag of sweets, a med-kit and deck of runes that she only know what they do because its written on the back.

History: Born in a small house on the outskirts of the ever free forest. She was raised by her mother a vampony Pegasus from Cloudsdale, and her farther an elusive stallion that left when she was 1 and returned 5 years later, which is why she picked up her mother’s equestrian dialect and vocabulary. Her mother was the loving sort but had almost no hope in others yet put all her hopes on sky, it was all maintained that way until sky was 6. It was a summer day and a storm had be brewing, rose, sky's mother, went out to avoid sky’s father of whom she had had a falling out with. She began walking the woody path she had walked many a time when she came across an old friend, she asked what was wrong but all she divulged was that she had had a fight with her partner. The storm broke out with classic timing. Rose began her trip back but felt it best to the short route despite the dangers. The shorter route was often not taken due to storms and such like in the past that had weakened the trees structures. On her way back through this route, a tree, struck by lightning, fell atop her. She was quickly fading and with her last bit of strength uttered “sky”. She had been 15 meters from home and sky had been waiting for her to get home, when the tree fell, she saw her mother, she had ran out but was too late. Sky became somewhat bitter that she never was able to say goodbye.

She inherited the house when her father vanished only a few months after her mothers passing. Over the next 6 years she was looked after and fed by her mother’s friend a spirit of the woods, she came monthly giving her the attention she needed. It was on one of these days that her life would change. Her mother’s friend had found her half-sister who was living with an adoptive mother, on this day the mother was lead but the friend to the house that young sky resided and was told the story, the kind mare agreed to take on the child in hopes for the best for bot her and her sister

sky had a hard life from there, she loved her sister and looked after her, she was a large filly and it was not hard to see that she was intimidating. But her sister, lightning looked at her sister as two, one: a sister, family a friend but two a vampony, an experiment waiting to happen, a subject. From the age of 14 she began getting experimented on by her younger sister, from seeing how sepsis affected her, to hormone treatments to help her grow more this continued until she was 26 where she moved back to her old home, it became her base of action, she began planning for her future, she had done some guard training so maybe an officer, but she wasn’t good with teams, maybe she could run a day care, or an orphanage that became a no when she realised her… not so responsible personalities would be a problem, maybe a super hero, but that diapered with the superhero craze. She gave up and decided that it was hardly the time and began with the tidying of her house. Amongst her mother’s old positions she found something, a booked, a diary in fact, it was her mother’s diary and craving a glimpse to her mother’s past and a bitter sting of missing her she began to read. Page after page explained the woods were not safe for any being of not true pony form, not due to the animals but the hunters, ponies that would rather see unfamiliar things dead rather than made familiar, she read on and found that her mother had been bring the fight to them even when she was pregnant, shy understood why she was passionate about the cause an decided that the very next day she would make contact with her mother’s old allies, forest folk, lycan, wolf like ponies. The morning stood, and she set off looking for the village, it quickly made itself clear that it was not a good idea, the ground and plant became more and more burnt, when she got there it was a horror scene, decade old bodies some nothing but skeletons but some still had flesh, all burnt and some hanging by their neck. She had hoped to make new friends. She had plans to tell stories about her mother. But no they were gone, all of them. Sky was mad, very mad, her eyes shifted to pink and began the hunt, she was found amongst the bodies of at least 20 ponies, she gave no reason or resistance she went with the guards and was condemned to hang. On the day she was led to the noose, and saw all the angry ponies, she could not take the anger against and felt if she didn’t die from the hanging they’d hate her more she snapped her shackles and flew away as quick as she could. She burnt the house down and left with nigh no trace as she looked for safety and a ‘home’ she found herself confronted face to face with a familiar face. Lightning her sister had heard what had happened and after a long time tracked her down, she offered her a new life, and a job, sky nodded and accepted smiling just a little.

Personality: her personality is subject to two parts of her personality, while it is always her main that has control she is often under some influence of the other two.
Blue: loving caring and looks for the best in people, she doesn’t want to hurt people and will always avoid it.
Pink: “are they not on fire? Why not?!” is what you should expect from pink, she’s a monster to an extent, only snow would be spared from the slaughter.
Gold (her main): she’s caring to a degree and only wants to make the best from the worst, she’s pretty laid back but at the same time not at all, she’s quite fickle in that area and enjoys annoying people.
Her outwards personality is dictated but the main combination of eye colours.
Gold Gold: fully in control and is very much herself.
Pink Blue: serious, and quick to anger, there to do a job.
Blue Blue: kind loving, you might as well have talked to fluttershy.
Pink Pink: Tiny Tim on a rampage of murder.
Red Red: what did you do?! Basically an artificial blood lust, she’s now became so angry she has triggered herself into a weaker form of bloodlust that leaves her with some control except kill the aggravator.

Current Home: wherever lightning takes her.

Misc: She is being hunted by the guards due to a slaughter of hunters (who were, at the time, hunting lycan, a wolf like pony that lives in packs, they are shy and often don't interact with other races, they also have a very very soft coat).

Name: Candle Flame

Race: unicorn

Mane: gradient blond to red, with the rest of the yellow, orange, and red hues in between; sometimes her mane is in a ponytail

Coat: candle wax color

Cutie mark: a candle

Extra details: royal blue eyes; her fur, mane, and pretty much all of her hair is the only part of her vulnerable to fire, so she constantly casts a 24-hour fireproofing spell on herself so she doesn't accidentally burn herself bald

Specialty: pyrokinesis; she’s immune to fire, except for her hair

Weaknesses: weak swimmer; sometimes has… accidents, with her fire ability

Occupation: fire show performer

History: Candle had an average foalhood. She lived in Canterlot, was upper-middle class and had two fathers. She was one of the better behaved foals, but still acted her age at times yada yada.

More notable things started happening a few years into school. One day in class, Candle was bored. So she decided to entertain herself by making a “firefly” out of a small ball of flame. She was relatively careful with it, making sure not to get it too close to other classmates or supplies or other things she was told it’d be very bad to let fire near. However, a lapse in common sense – meaning, having the “firefly” “land” on one of the tables – caused… some problems. That table was burned in that spot and Candle was sent into the corner for time out.

She does more than this, obviously. Two days later, in Arts & Crafts, her class worked together making winter gingerbread houses. The teacher was watching the students to make sure they weren’t eating anything before it went on the gingerbread houses, and Candle really, really wanted to eat a roasted marshmallow (unroasted would not do). So she figured if she lit the thing on fire from all sides it’d roast faster. Roast faster it did. It ended up in the carpet, Candle was sent to the corner again, and neither the stain nor the burnt smell ever left that spot on the carpet.

And not long after that, Candle is sent to the corner for turning an origami swan into an origami “phoenix”.

Now normally this kind of stuff would just get her a lot of facehoofs throughout her life, but Candle did something one day that… was shocking, to put it simply. She’d gotten into a fight with another filly because she kept scribbling all over her paper; little pony problems. The fight escalated and the filly shoved Candle, knocking her down. Candle got so mad that she, well, essentially went mini-nuke. The room felt like an oven, the floor, ceiling, and some classroom supplies were burnt, and Candle… Candle was completely bald, head to hooves. Not a hint of hair on her, but she was completely unharmed otherwise.

When her father arrived, he didn’t even know what to think. He, and Candle when he told her, was astounded when her principal recommended she be removed from the school, and transferred to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns.

Several months later, she found herself in a much bigger school with higher expectations, more homework, and many more ponies, some of whom… were less than pleasant. The cranky, worn-down teachers weren’t the problem; in fact, Candle sometimes felt sorry for them. The main problem was peers. A specific couple that had apparently decided she’d make a decent punching bag. They mocked her for being a blank flank, called her a hazard to society (she still had some accidents with her fire abilities) or a maniac, and spread vicious rumors about her. Why? Because they were bored alpha bitches. And they’re not the focus.

Candle’s tormenting went on for quite a while, especially because even while she neared marehood she was still a blank flank. She didn’t face the torment alone, though; she had two friends she had grown very close to through the school years.

One year, an English teacher of Candle’s assigned her class with writing a poem that says something about them. Unsurprisingly, most ponies chose to write about their cutie marks. Given that Candle was a blank flank, she chose to write a poem based on her name. As she wrote, she wrote down all of what she thought a candle flame, and fire, was: warm, bright, comforting, guiding, protecting. She realized that’s what she wanted to be. At that moment, she decided she’d model herself after what she saw fire as. And that’s when she earned her cutie mark.

Years later, graduated from CSGU, Candle’s now looking for a new place to live; she doesn’t like the idea of staying in uppity upper-class Canterlot. Along the way, she performs fire shows for bits. She writes to her two friends in Canterlot whenever she gets the chance, as well as meeting new friends along the way, but she doesn’t write to them as often.

Personality: kind, respectful, intelligent, optimistic, fun-loving
